Looks like it's down again.

The key to wealth is OPM (other people's money). Can someone get the check, I forgot my wallet. ๐Ÿ˜†

Joe

Many old sayings about building wealth. "The first million is the hardest" - Many things conspire against a person trying to build toward that number, but after reaching it things become much easier. "You only have to get rich once" - It is very true that those who are careful and want to stay wealthy generally do. But also... "From shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves in three generations" - It is also very common to squander fortunes. Especially by family members who grew up in wealth and are not careful with it. In centuries past wealthy nobility would often send children to the military to learn discipline, self-management and leadership, qualities that help an individual not grow fallow and apt to squander a fortune, but this tradition has subsided in recent years.

It is Not available in Germany due to Copyright issues with the German co Producer company. Can only watch it logged in via patreon, but i found a way to dl it anyway.

The Sheeple

No. I keep getting some great suggestions on here but I get overwhelmed and I don't know where to start. Last suggestions I saw this week were The Horror of Dracula and Night of the Comet. Going to save Perfect World on Prime if it's free.

Chris Thom

Popular musicians that came from nothing sometimes lose all their money because of all their friends and family on the dole that make up their entourage. That, and some manager or the label are stealing from them.

Chris Thom

"How is he still rich?" Not a movie question but something most people don't think about. Wealthy people remain wealthy because their money is invested and those investments generate income. As long as he is managing his capital it will continue to earn more than he spends. Wealthy people mostly just grow more wealthy over time because their investment income is more than they spend.

James Melton

Chris - off topic: have you had a chance to watch "A Perfect World" yet?

bgb1975 (Brian)

Yes, she does.

V M

I am fully aware. ๐Ÿ˜„

I think The Straight Story is more in Cassie's wheel house. I like The Elephant Man, but it is pretty depressing.

Brian McGovern

Unfortunately it's not The Untouchables.

Monte Durbin

That explains why I couldn't download it today. It's so annoying when my podcast player just stops because the next up in the playlist never downloaded. I guess I'll listen to it tomorrow.

Mike Lemon

RIP. That sucks. Personally I think of Mulholland Drive as his best, slightly mainstream movie. Hope she watches both on the channel someday.

Chris Thom

I see it, it's been back up a little while now.

Joe

David Lynch just died. An opportunity to watch The Elephant Man which is probably his most accessible mainstream movie.

TheSingulatarian

Good one. Really interesting movie. Good luck with the test.

Chris Thom

I still see it. Are you in Canada?

Chris Thom

Great reaction Csssie, you just seam to have the affect of making a great movie even better. ๐Ÿ™‚

Copyright takedown on YT.

I discovered this movie from this Patreon Pick, so thank you. What a great movie. I watched it prior to the YT release and could tell Cass would love it from the beginning. Great pick to whoever suggested it.

Please watch, DOLORES CLAIBORNE from 1995 Kathy Bates stars in this gripping adaptation from Stephen Kingโ€™s novel. Dolores Claiborne. He wrote this book with Kathy Bates in mind after watching her in Misery. He thought she was spectacular. And Kathy is arguably head to head with Meryl in regard to pure talent. Kathy Bates and Jennifer Jason Leigh are PHENOMENAL. Judy Parfitt is also spectacular in her supporting role as Mrs. Vera Donovan. Iโ€™m studying for the LSAT. Itโ€™s a pain. I enjoy listening to reactions to my favorite films. They replace the ever so boring music playlists I have, If yall have any recommendations, please feel free to drop em!!! This is Stephen Kingโ€™s favorite adaptation and Kathyโ€™s favorite role. Itโ€™s easily her best performance. And thatโ€™s saying a lot considering Misery was the bomb! Dot. Com! - Iโ€™d curse, but YouTube is weird. Also, consider watching Civil War from 2024 from A24, it was my favorite film after MaXXXine that I had the pleasure of watching last year.

Cassie, it's possible you might recognize Omar Sy from X-Men Days of Future Past, as he played Bishop, the guy in the "future" segments with dreadlocks who's power was he could get charged and then channel that into firing a gun he had that shot like a red laser out of it. I'm so glad you liked this movie. This is just a guaranteed feel good movie for anyone. If you watch this and aren't smiling then there's something terribly wrong with you ๐Ÿ˜‚

Stranger2Reality

When I saw this show up in the feed, I thought, "Oh, Cassie, is going to LOVE this." It's a gem of a movie.

Michael Siegel

Omar Sy is a phenomenal actor

Ace Degenerate

People on YouTube already convinced you got the title wrong. lol

Chris Thom

lol

V M

Cool. Bobby De Niro, Kevin Costner. Great movie. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Brian McGovern

This is such a fantastic movie. I saw this in theaters when it was originally released and it's one of those movies that just can't help but put you in a great mood. The Thomas Crown Affair is another such movie, btw.
