The Intouchables (2011) - Full Reaction

Woah what a story/movie. I loved it, it was beautiful and I loved both the actors and their tender smiles. Did not even notice the subtitles, wonderful pick Ian, thank you so much!

(this shouldn't affect the reaction, but the intro music doesn't fade out like it normally does, sorry about that!)

The Intouchables (2011) - Full Reaction

Comments

Your reaction was perfect. Very touching film. I loved it.

Daniel Doble

I finally got around to watching this. This movie gave me all the feels. I'd never heard of it or the American remake. In general, I say watch the original first. Sometimes, I end up liking both the original and the remake. I was not familiar with any of the actors; they are great.

Stephen Dias

He needed more time to focus on his family, even though the mom asked him to leave ... Philip saw that he was needed elswhere.

Rebecca B1

One of my favorite films, its such a beautiful story. Glad you watched it, i feel like to few people know about this film.

samuel Jakob

I loved it. It reminds me of Paul Rudd’s speech in James Brooks movie, “How Do You Know”, where he recounts the story of Noah McVicker and the origins of PlayDoh. Both main characters were wrestling with their own struggles; and then together, they found…Joy.

Uncle Phoenix

what did you think?!

Cassie

Loved the original. Meh on the Kevin Hart version.

Uncle Phoenix

Thanks to the person who recommended this! I really enjoyed it. I am a little confused, though, as to why they parted ways towards the end...was it just that his brother needed his help? Because I couldn't tell what help he actually needed from him on an ongoing basis (like why he couldn't just resume his job soon after.)

Maisie

Just watched it, Phoenix. You won't be disappointed.

Clarence Newman

I have just now watched The Upside with Kevin Hart and Bryan Cranston - the US remake of The Intouchables. We both agreed that we haven't enjoyed a new movie as much as we did this one in quite a while. So good. I'm now looking forward to the YT edit of this one so I can enjoy the original too.

Clarence Newman

It really does. Glad I'm not the only one that sees it because I was convinced it was him for a bit.

Chris Thom

Fantastic movie, absolutely delightful reaction. Loved it!

Just Plain Bob

He’s also Chris Pratts buddy raptor trainer in Jurassic World

Ace Degenerate

I am very happy she liked it despite having seen the American remake. In Quebec, it was successfully adapted as a play. I went to see it and it was good.

René Ferland

Dang, some of those scenes he looked like Dustin Hoffman's identical twin.

Brian's Dog

OK. (Heavy Sigh). I watched the French version. Now, I have to watch the English, Kevin Hart, version. Then, I can watch the “Cassie" version.

Uncle Phoenix

If you like heartwarming movies I know a perfect one.....

Björn Karlsson

I haven't watched this movie since it first came out. I remembered it being good, but I forgot just how much. It was a great reaction and didn't suck. A good reaction doesn't need tons of commentary. Just feeling the positive energy, good mood, and seeing all the emotions shine through is more than enough. At least for me.

Gábor Árki

Top marks for the pick, Ian!

Above Average Dave

I think that she’s my new favorite actress. I’m starting season 2 of H.I.P.

Uncle Phoenix

I hate reading a movie; I almost didn't watch it. But I'm so glad I did; it was heartwarming and funny.

Eddie Perkins

She is attractive.

Clay F

Before I forget; the redhead, Audrey Fleurot, is also in the HULU show, H.I.P. She plays a French genius who takes a job working for the French police in the town of Lille. It’s silly and cute; but worth a watch if you like police comedy/drama’s.

Uncle Phoenix

Love this film! Glad you got to (finally) see it, Cassie!

Above Average Dave

Lupin is a fun show

2-Can

Lupin is on my watchlist.

Clay F

Noted. Lupin is now on my list.

Uncle Phoenix

What the Heck? I went from “Skip”; to “Well, Uncle Popcorn did recommended it.” Now that I’ve seen the trailer, I’m like; “I CAN’T BELIEVE that I have to wait until this afternoon to watch this movie.” And without knowing anything, I can say that Kevin Hart was not the right actor for this part. (Kind of like Tom Cruise trying to play Jack Reacher.)

Uncle Phoenix

First time watching, charming movie for sure. You've seen Omar Sy briefly as the character Bishop in xmen: DOFP, but he wasn't given much to do. He's excellent in the netflix show Lupin, a French show about a thief with a heart of gold

Choof

actually a decent remake...for once.

Matt Rose

Knew you'd love this one.

Matt Rose

Wonderful movie there is a remake with a different title of this beautiful story called. The upside starring Kevin Hart Bryan Cranston Nicole Kidman

Doc Larry

I had a girlfriend of 6 years, and we went to this movie on our first date. Cassie, why are you bringing back all these memories? lol :P

ExploreWinnipeg

I liked it. I could tell you enjoyed the movie. You liked their smiles. Driss got that earring for him -- they went into a jewelry store about an hour into the movie. I missed the details.

Clay F

Sounds like you picked a good one here, mate. Happy for you.

Clarence Newman

Yeah I enjoyed it, my first watch. Great soundtrack and you know she loves a fish outta water she said so herself so good picking.

Gray

Congrats Ian.

V M

Yes! Glad you liked it. Hope everyone else does as well.
