Are you guys feeling ready? I just need to get through to Friday and then I think i’ll be able to relax a little.
I’m sorry we’re behind, my Christmas wish is to be all caught up, ahead even before we leave to Canada. DREAM BIG! Im excited for A Christmas Carol, i think this will be my fourth iteration of it on the channel!
The Direcrors Clint Eastwood Poll went up yesterday! make sure to go vote, I will be watching the two winners, maybe three?
Also, the extra butter live will be on Thursday at 8 PM, we’re going to be doing a live watch along to Santa Claus is coming to town, it’s short so we will also have time to hang after I hope❤️

I find that kids in groups really are the perfect petri dishes. I remember when I lived with my brother, whose girlfriend at the time was an elementary school teacher for lower grades. Starting every September when the school started, she would get sick, then my brother, and eventually, I’d catch it too. During those years, I ended up getting sick 3-4 times a year. I'm not sure if it counts as a Christmas song, but this year I find myself listening to Hallelujah. Not just the original Cohen version but have been listening to several other covers as well over the past weeks.

Great showcases for The Beatles' humour. I've always liked "Ding Dong", although I may be one of the very few fans who think Dark Horse is one of George's best albums. At that time, I'm convinced he was trying to write the perfect mantra song. He'd already had a go with Dehra Dun (terrible song) and kind of succeeded with the ending of My Sweet Lord, but had never quite nailed a true mantra song. Ding Dong is not a bad effort, and a pretty good song to play on New Year's Eve, but Dark Horse does contain his best example of a true mantra - namely the lovely earworm that is "It Is He: Jai Sri Krishna." As for Ringo's Christmas album, let me just say that I love the man and will not say a bad word against him.

When it comes to their solo work, I'll go with Ringo's "Come On, Christmas (Christmas, Come On)," since it hasn't gotten as played to death over the years as John's (and Yoko's) "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)" or Paul's "Wonderful Christmastime"... and is still more better-thought-out than George's rather half-assed New Year's anthem "Ding-Dong, Ding-Dong." 🤔

I haven't watched that in ages since I was a kid, unfortunately I don't think I'll be around for that watch-along, I'll be at the movie theater seeing the new feature "The Lord of the Rings - The War of the Rohirrim" in Anime form, oh gosh I can't wait😃 [No Spoilers] Despite it being in Anime form, it's still set in the Peter Jackson verse if you will lol, set almost 200 years before the events of both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogies, telling the story of one of Rohan's most legendary kings! After I see it, I'll tell you whether or not you should see it in the theater, considering you've never seen LOTR in the theater (sort of) I remember the story you told lol😂 But I think it would be cool for you to get that experience lol! It's no surprise that the Clint Eastwood poll has Million Dollar Baby winning, just be warned with no spoilers, it's a tear jerker! I still say one of these days you should watch Heartbreak Ridge, it's one of my favorites that he's done and also one of my Dads' favorites as well! You're so very welcome again for the t-shirts I got you and Carly, the $100, the Christmas card, the pictures and the Werthers lol! If you saw the rest of the pics, can you believe the number of Hollywood celebs I met at those conventions this year, I'm still in disbelief that actually happened lol! Once again, what I wrote in the card is purely out of good faith, trust, and friendship, nothing more lol! I honestly cannot say which Christmas carol is my favorite, but if I had to pick I'd say "The 12 Days of Christmas"! If you're going to watch an animated short like "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", please please please treat yourself to THE SNOWMAN (1982). On channel, off channel, I don't care. I just want you and your kids to experience the delight. Favourite Christmas Carol? I like anything that makes it feel like Christmas, but I think "Silent Night" is my fave. There's a lot of great Christmas songs, but my absolute favourite is "All Alone at Christmas" by the wonderful Darlene Love (Mrs Murtaugh in Lethal Weapon). Finally, the Clint poll. If you're going to stretch to watching the first 3, then you might aswell watch the first 4. That way, I'll get my Heartbreak Ridge too! (I'm sorry, I'm like Joey Tribbiani when he's offered a meatball sub or pizza and can only have one of them.)

V (aka Kim Taehyung) has such a deep and soulful voice. His tone is so unique. The song was written for the popular kdrama: “Our Beloved Summer.” He also just released a new rendition of “White Christmas” with Bing Crosby - who is his idol. The animated video is so cute - his beloved Pom (Yeontan) just passed away - so seeing him in the video it’s bittersweet.

2024-12-18 04:03:28 +0000 UTCWith this viewing of the Patrick Stewart CHRISTMAS CAROL, you will have watched a version of this story every year that the channel has been around (SCROOGED 3 years ago, MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL 2 years ago and the 1970 musical SCROOGE with Albert Finney last year). I think you should keep up this tradition. Lord knows there are plenty of other adaptations to react to. Next year I might recommend either the 1951 Alistair Sim film (often considered the definitive cinematic treatment of the Dickens tale), the 1984 TV movie with George C. Scott or the Robert Zemeckis/Jim Carrey CGI version. All are worth seeing.
