Comments

Dan Akroyd seemed like the nicest person out of all of them.

Chris Thom

Always surprised that no one mentions Roseanne anymore.

Chris Thom

Absolutely love your work! But my dear mother whom I got totally obsessed with you love even more. Recently bought a 3 month gift certificate for her Bday. Do you by any chance offer personalized text or short vid like Kaylee from Firefly sent you? It would make her life! She love yoy so much. Way more than her actually shitheal kids ..🤔?

Daniel Mooney

Which is insane to me. The voices sound nothing alike.

Stan the Man

+1 for the Blues Brothers.

Just watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang with Wifey and we both enjoyed it. RDJ is a natural comedian and we laughed out loud several times. Looking forward to Cassie's reaction now.

Clarence Newman

OK, thus far, there is one suggestion for Blues Brothers, two plus 1's and 16 likes on all comments. I'm adding my plus 1, which makes a landslide 20 endorsements for The Blues Brothers. The people have spoken, Cassie!

Clarence Newman

Harry Dean Stanton....."Walkin the mile, I'm walkin the mile." I suggest a poll for Harry, cos then Cassie would get to watch Cool Hand Luke.

"Rusty" grew up to be "Leonard" in Big Bang Theory

Barry Diamond

+1 for Blues Brothers

I did a first watch of KKBB along with Cassie's reaction. I did essentially a first watch (as I didn't remember much) of NL Christmas Vacation along with their reaction.

Clay F

I have not watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang yet (at all, ever) and me and Wifey can't remember if we've watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Therefore, I am going to have to watch them both with Wifey first before I can watch Cassie's reactions. I watched The Holdovers the other day so I'm ready for that one, but I'm hoping Cassie watches the odd movie I've already seen. Otherwise I'll be doing double shifts until the New Year.

Clarence Newman

Cassie reacted to it, search her patreon.

The Shop Around the Corner is a great Jimmy Stewart rom-com that takes place at Christmas and is a classic

buzz tp

Any chance of sending them down?

Chris

Cassie would love “Seems Like Old Times.” I know I do.

Just Plain Bob

+1 on Blues Brothers, an absolute comedy classic

Just Plain Bob

Oh Fletch! Sorry couldn't resist, lol.

Joe

I was never much of a Chevy Chase fan, liked him on SNL, but his persona/style in movies for some reason just never hit with me. Dan Aykroyd was my favorite of the original SNL cast, hope Cassie watches "The Blues Brothers" soon, that's a classic!

Joe

You have to look up all of the actors, they all have history. The old lady aunt was Betty Boop and Minnie mouse.

Go0se

Poor Carly. How can she see anything when she smiles?

Clarence Newman

I think Animal House would be ok. It's juvenile but that's not necessarily a problem. As long as watching that one doesn't lead to King Frat (1979, which Animal House inspired), she'll be fine.

There’s a Christmas Movie that few people have seen called “One Magic Christmas” that’s on Disney+ and it’s just…you HAVE TO WATCH this Xmas movie. It’s Canadian. There’s Christmas Angels, A terrific Santa Claus. It’s from the mid 1980s. It’s just a beautiful, sometimes sad but then reaffirming Christmas classic that doesn’t get near the love it should. Harry Dean Stanton plays Gideon the Christmas Angel. Mary Steenburgen plays the main character. A working mother whose husband and 2 kids love Christmas but since her family seems to be getting no luck, her husband fired from his job and soon to lose the company home, just can’t find herself to have any Christmas spirit. It’s up to her adorable little daughter Abby and the Christmas angel Gideon to find a way to make the mother believe in Christmas. It’s truly a thing of beauty. It’s a tear jerker but for all the right reasons. Look for a super young Sarah Polley as the character Molly Monaghan—a poor neighborhood kid who the great dad character in the movie is building a bicycle for a Christmas gift Also feature what I consider to be the best portrayal of Santa Claus and the North Pole in general. I love the look of the North Pole, his work shop, all the “elves”(which aren’t really elves in the traditional sense but more charitable and good people who have passed away in our realm. This gave me great comfort as a kid when my grandpa passed. I figured he’d go to work at Santa’s lol)

Congratulations to anyone not having to host this year.

I loved Animal House when I was a teen but that was a long time ago and the culture has kind of grown up since then (or has it?) I know I should stop worrying about Cassie's sensitivities but it's SO raunchy, and what felt so fresh and anarchic in 1978 seems kind of mean-spirited today. But it was a turning point in the culture and launched a lot of careers and a new style of comedy and you're right that the Vacation movies could not have existed without it (or Trading Places, Ghostbusters, Coming to America, etc.) And Cassie does like going back to the source of recurring tropes....hmmmm....

Merry Christmas to your sister and your family

Butterfingers Pollock

Still just a poor runner up to the master piece, National Lampoon’s Animal House.

Thomas Thompson

Yippee kiyay!….oh that’s another Christmas movie😂 I love this movie! 🍿

Carol Rocha

How about a movie with Chevy Chase where things turn out better? Check out Seems Like Old Times!

Chris

I love this movie! It's one of the few comedies that I can watch that my parents enjoy too. So it's always played at some point in our house during Christmas. Hope yall have a safe and Mery Christmas with your family! Stay warm 😁

Joel Cagle

Wooh hoo!
