Hello my friends, sorry this post is mucho late. We ran away for a few days to Disneyland, it was wonderful and needed but also exhausting and of course I got sick:/ No need to fear, still 3 fun uploads this week including farmers, klingons and it’s looking like a funeral?

I posted a Cassie’s pick poll, if you haven’t yet, go vote! I know some of you are womp womp on the picks, but just following my heart 😉❤️I hope I can have something you’re more excited about next!

Speaking of movies (always) anyone heading to theatres for Gladiator 2, Wicked or Moana this next week? I think we’ll save Gladiator for the channel but i can’t wait to take the kids to Moana 2!

I’m going to share some videos from the house of the mouse on instagram if you want to go check them out! @popcorninbed

Next week will be Howard the Duck and a new poll winner!

Also next week on 11/26 at 7:30PM we will have our Extra Butter LIVE and then save the date for the evening of 12/13 we are going to have a YT Christmas LIVE with packages and festivities and such!

Speaking of Christmas, what movies should go on my christmas movies poll this year? Have I seen all the good ones now? I did see a clip of the 90's Miracle on 34th Street and I don't remember a thing if I have seen it, but it did make me really want to watch it.

Ok sorry again about my tardiness, love you all!

Ps: New podcast episdode this week was a fun movie quotes one!

Popcorn to Go:

Have the best week, remember to take those turkeys out of the freezer!

David

you forgot gremlins 1-2

Rene G.

I looked and didn't find the movie Elf. Top 10 easy!

Bill

Hehe nah, not all movies. There is even a french and a german remake of In bed with Santa 🎅🎅

Björn Karlsson

Are all Swedish movies about sex, Bjorn? If so, I might need to buy me a box set!

Clarence Newman

First of all - keep your damn hands off my rhubarb ;-) Second - while you may not be serious about keeping horror October only, there are plenty of people who are.

Richard Maurer

I would love to see that also

Darren Harrison

I appreciate that, Richard. I need all the help I can get promoting Officer and a Gentleman! And yes, Mark, she should. It's obscene that, three years in, she still hasn't watched a John Wayne western.

Clarence Newman

I don't think anyone's said that with any seriousness, Richard. I may rub your rhubarb about it now and then, but I certainly don't believe it. In fact, I'm one of the ones who think it would be better for Cassie to spread the gruesome, genetics fusing, chainsaw-amputating, hockey mask wearing, gimp movies throughout the year. Good for you and the other horror buffs, and, I believe, better for Cassie's sense of well-being.

Clarence Newman

I cut out caffeine about 2 months ago and feel so much better for it mentally & physically

Witchfinder General

For a different Christmas movie, watch The Long Kiss Goodnight with Helena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson, .a great action flick.

Ib-René Jørgensen

I've been lobbying hard for Cassie and Carly to watch the 11 remaining Bond flicks in the new year.

Byrd N. Hand

Yeah, you got it backwards; it's Ollie Dee and Stannie Dum, because, of course, Stan was the 'dumb' one (well, relatively speaking).

Byrd N. Hand

The amount of caffeine in energy drinks is no joke either.

Ian Tonge

I support the following of your choices :- Bachelor Mother (1939) with Ginger Rogers & David Niven. Meet John Doe (1941) with Gary Cooper & Barbara Stanwyck. The Man Who Came to Dinner (1942) with Monty Woolley & Bette Davis. (The Bishop’s Wife (1947) with Cary Grant, David Niven & Loretta Young. Rec. as close to Xmas as possible for you both). it happened on fifth avenue (1947) Comedy/Romance. A Christmas Carol (1951) With Alistair Sim, Mervyn Johns & Michael Hordern.

Long-time Sci-Fi Enthusiast

Sorry to be preachy, Cassie, but please stop drinking all those sugary drinks! I think that may be why you seem to get sick so much. They're so bad for you! Best thing I ever did, health wise, was cut back significantly on that stuff.

bgb1975

Christmas movies: * The Bishop’s Wife (1947) - popular movie for the holidays and I always watch it every Christmas. * All Mine to Give (1957) - true-life story that’s truly unforgettable. * For the PiB kids, I highly recommend getting The Complete Rankin/Bass Christmas Collection. Love it! My favorite out of the collection is “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” (1964)

Rose

Hi Cassie, what about either Meet me in St Louis or Christmas in Connecticut for a Christmas movie?

Tinkerbell

Maybe Cassie should do a Wayne week!

Mark White

I'm actually not a fan either, but Bill is (obviously) so I thought I'd help him out, as we film obsessed patrons should.

Richard Maurer

@JPB, I think the upside far outweighs any downside.

Joe

I’ve actually seen it. I’m a big John Wayne fan and I’ve seen most of his classics several times. Rio Bravo and The Sons of Katie Elder are my favourites. I think I’ve only watched The Searchers once and that’s because I didn’t particularly enjoy it. For me, there’s a scene in the middle that ruins the story completely. Everything after that seems pointless. I realise we can’t discuss that scene, I’m just saying that it’s the reason I don’t like it as a film.

Clarence Newman

Btw.. The english title of "Tomten är far....." is "In bed with Santa" and it's on Popcorn request fyi 😁😁

Björn Karlsson

About time someone got around to Howard the Duck, Truly the Citizen Kane of comic book movies.

phillip giroux

Stick these on the Xmas list! Krampus Black Christmas (1974) Christmas Chronicles 1&2 The Bishops wife The Man Who Invented Christmas The Shepherd - Even though the book is better!

Biggman83

Yes! March of the Wooden Soldiers! Stanny Dee and Ollie Dum! Or do I have that backwards?

bgb1975

The only downside to more horror movie reactions throughout the year (and fewer in October) would be having to listen to the people that don’t like horror movies whine and moan more frequently. Oh, and listening to them try to discourage Cassie from watching some movies because they’re “too gory”, as so many did this past October (usually a complaint they leveled at movies they admittedly had never watched). Or simply lying about the quality of a movie. Meanwhile, the rest of us receive a monthly diet that invariably includes at least one insipid rom-com.

Just Plain Bob

Silent Night, Deadly Night

Witchfinder General

Are you thinking of a different movie? Thought Jingle had Arnold?

Chris Thom

Directors Cuts can be cool. But wish they could just take a minute to release one definitive version so when we talk about a film, we've all seen the same thing. Gets confusing.

Chris Thom

Think about that one a lot lately.

Chris Thom

It’s a western, but okay.

Richard Maurer

Awesome Picks! and if you’ll allow, I’ll make them 3’s. Shirley Temple in… The Little Colonel (1935) Heidi (1937) The Little Princess (1939) Bette Davis in… It’s Love I’m After (1937) Jezebel (1938) The Man Who Came to Dinner (1941) Rita Hayworth in… Angels Over Broadway (1940) Gilda (1946) The Lady From Shanghai (1947) and since Moira Shearer was only in a handful of films, let’s go with Powell & Pressburger films… A Matter of Life and Death (1946), with Kim Hunter Black Narcissus (1947), with Deborah Kerr The Red Shoes (1948), with Moira Shearer And how about… Ginger Rogers in… Vivacious Lady (1938) Bachelor Mother (1939) Kitty Foyle (1940) Claudette Colbert in… Bluebeard’s Eighth Wife (1938) The Palm Beach Story (1942) Since You Went Away (1944) Carole Lombard in… Twentieth Century (1934) Nothing Sacred (1937) To Be or Not to Be (1942) Greer Garson in… Goodbye, Mr. Chips (1939) Mrs. Miniver (1942) Random Harvest (1942) Jean Arthur in… Mr. Deeds Goes to Town (1936) Only Angels Have Wings (1939) The More the Merrier (1943) “I could go on forever Baby.” (Obligatory Home Alone 2 Quote :-) I’m on a mission to increase the amount of Classic Films on this channel by 10 Fold. ;-)

Larry Darrell

It’s not a Xmas movie but it’s got lots of snow in it. ‘The Day after Tomorrow’

Mark White

I’m just pointing that out to the people who keep saying we can’t watch anything horror-lite outside of October - it’s already happened. But people still keep telling me it can’t.

Richard Maurer

Son in Law. I didn't see that coming. I'll check out the YT edit for that one.

Vlad D

Tomten är far till alla barnen???? 😉😅

Björn Karlsson

Great movie. She really liked it during the watch three years ago.

Mike Lemon

@Richard, I had forgotten about the classic monster poll, but Cassie still focused everything else into October, outside of the two Godzilla movies if we count those.

Joe

That’s two Maurers endorsing The Searchers. It must be a great vampire movie,

Clarence Newman

I thought this was settled when she did the classic “monster” (horror) poll outside of October. But some people want to keep the segregation going.

Richard Maurer

Philip G.

Howard the Duck was a good comic, because you expect crazy thing in that world, but didn't work as a movie where he was the only wild thing in a world of normal.

William Brownlee

I agree totally with both choices. The 1951 version is a movie I watch every year. Alistair Sims is the best Scrooge ever.

William Brownlee

We've discussed this in previous posts of course, but some of us do favor year round reactions to scary-like content. Time to get a response from Cassie on her willingness to make this change. I'll ask her on the next YT premiere or extra butter hangout.

Joe

I can’t remember why I liked The Seachers, I just did. If I remember correctly, John Wayne’s character was a little more complex than usual for Wayne. Not the clean cut, good guy sherif type, more darker at times, with a hinted at shady past. I think I kinda liked him playing a slightly different character to his norm.

Mark White

Dickens and Austen are always high on my list during Christmas. Doesn't have to be A Christmas Carol.

Grad

She should watch The Searchers, Clarence.

Richard Maurer

Tender?

Richard Maurer

If I never hear the word 'tender' again it will be too soon

Witchfinder General

Why wait, we can watch it any time. It’s not super scary that it has to be segregated into the October gulag.

Richard Maurer

Agreed, Nolo. No need to watch The Searchers.

Clarence Newman

Not at all, Richard. It will give Cassie plenty of time to pop it on next October's schedule!

Clarence Newman

me too Gladiator II. is a big disappointment. .For a Real good gladiator movie watch. "Demetrious and the Gladiators" Gladiator lifted some scenes from it . Its a sequel to "the Robe"

(Nolo)finwe

no

(Nolo)finwe

I hear so-so things about Gladiator 2. It looks like it was chopped up for runtime by the studio just like Napoleon, and yet again Ridley Scott is fine to just release a director's cut when it comes to streaming, so maybe that'll be more interesting.

Raieldon

Long kiss good night great movie. I was going to suggest a kick ass women poll with this, Ava, hanna, haywire and atomic blonde,

rakesh

My holiday requests: “A Christmas Carol” (1951 British film starring Alistair Sim - still the best version imo) and “The Bishop’s Wife” (Cary Grant at his absolute peak, and a magical, romantic, heartwarming story)

Silver Machine

You clearly have more than me, Larry, but these are the great female roles on my list (30s and 40s): Heidi (1937) - A very small leading lady, but so delightful to watch. Jezebel (1938) - Bette Davis filling the screen. Gilda (1946) - So iconic they put a scene from it in Shawshank. The first poster Andy Dufresne put on his wall was of Rita Hayworth. The Red Shoes (1947) - Grace and beauty from Moira Shearer.

Clarence Newman

I cannot deny it, and no one could do it better than Danny.

Clarence Newman

If it helps me with my crane kick, I'll do anything.

Clarence Newman

Is it too late to mention Horror of Dracula, with Sir Christopher Lee? I don’t think so.

Richard Maurer

Hello Cassie my suggestions for Christmas movies are The Homecoming (1971), and A Christmas Carol, 1938 and 1951 versions.

Stuart Guthrie Jr.

“Son In Law”? What bet did she lose to have to watch that?

Walter

I don’t overlook him, I enjoy him to the fullest. He is absolutely F’ing hilarious and the best part of the movie imo.

Shehab Dawoud

If you’re looking for work, I’ve got a bathroom that needs a re-model. ;-)

Larry Darrell

IMO the 1940s was the greatest time for Christmas films. There are so many gems. Almost half of my Christmas staples come from this time. I would love to see some re-watches of Christmas films with Cassie. I’ve been hoping for a Re-Watch of The Holiday (2006) since it is one of my Top Favorites and since it deals with Old Hollywood through the Arthur character. The list of old films featuring a dynamite leading lady, that he gives Iris, is something I’ve been trying to recreate with her. Films with actresses like Irene Dunne. (Gumption!). There are so many films from before 1970, that I know she would love. I would also love a Re-Watch of Christmas Vacation. I’m not totally convinced she has sat down and watched it all the way through. Almost every line from that movie is quotable. “If I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn’t be more surprised than I am now”

Larry Darrell

Then she should watch The Searchers, but Towering Inferno is first on Mark's list, so she should start there.

Clarence Newman

Very true, Shehab, it's just that there's something consistently disgusting about The Penguin in that movie. You and I can easily overlook it because Catwoman is there too, but I think it would low-key gross Cassie out.

Clarence Newman

Christmas movie suggestions: *Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale *Trollhunter *Black Christmas

Just Plain Bob

Ooh, that's a good shout.

Clarence Newman

She doesn’t have to like every character.

Shehab Dawoud

+1 for Krampus.

Richard Maurer

No she has not seen The Searchers as Bill Maurer (no relation) would tell you if he were here right now.

Richard Maurer

Man with the Golden Gun. The rest I don’t care about.

Richard Maurer

I really am looking forward to Howard in a train-wreck sort of way. Paulie Shore not so much.

Richard Maurer

Just watched it over on the Extra Butter chat. Loved it!

Dan M

I’m on board for some Wallace and Gromit.

Mark White

If I’m honest, I’m not a big Christmas movie guy, but, I do remember quite a few movies which always seamed to be shown around Xmas time when I was a kid, such as: The Towering Inferno Where Eagles Dare The Seachers Actually could someone tell me, has Cassie seen The Seachers?

Mark White

Moonraker!

Mark White

I'm late to the party because I'm a victim of having no notification of this post but I will nominate some of the other great picks I've read here: Going My Way (Bing Crosby) The Bishop's Wife (Cary Grant) Meet Me In St. Louis (Judy Garland)

Mike LL

Thank you for suggesting Going My Way! She really liked Bing Crosby when she saw White Christmas, and Going My Way not only stars Bing, it is a musical and the winner of the Best Picture Oscar, Best Actor for Bing, Best Supporting Actor, Best Song, Director, and several more!

Mike LL

My Christmas suggestions are: Wallace & Gromit: A Grand Day Out (1989) Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers (1993) Wallace & Gromit: A Close Shave (1995) These are all about half an hour each, so approximately equivalent to one movie and comfortably viewable in a single sitting. Wallace is a Yorkshireman an inventor of wacky contraptions, Gromit is his loyal canine companion (and the smarter of the pair). It's all beautifully hand animated stop-motion brimming with charm, and something of a Christmas tradition on this side of the pond.

Ian Tonge

Adding my weight behind Trapped In Paradise. Which means precisely nothing as I've literally watched NONE of these movies. I'm such an orange belt when it comes to this stuff. I need to go sand Larry's floor.

Clarence Newman

That just made me think of The Belles of St Trinians (1954) - Alastair Sim in drag as the school headmistress. Not sure how politically correct the film is today, but George Cole is awesome as Flash Harry.

Clarence Newman

And not in a good way. She will NOT like Devito's Penguin. She'd be better off watching Twins.

Clarence Newman

😂😂, you never know with some of her poll’s lol. Just pray Cassie doesn’t put Bio Dome on any of them.

Dean Holt

Word.

Clarence Newman

With respect to those who actually like the film, a lot of us agree that the choice of Howard was mostly by the unwashed Yolo mob from the Youtube side of town. As payback, I think Cassie should put a cardboard cutout of herself in the bed to watch the movie.

Clarence Newman

That's not fair, Larry. Your previous posts have clearly shown you're a ringer when it comes to movies (are there any you haven't seen?) so I'm totally out of my depth. What I should have said was "you've seen all the real classic Christmas movies that I've seen and consider classic Christmas movies" --- that would've been more accurate. The purpose of my post was to lead into the suggestion of rewatching some of her favourites with us at Christmas. That request has more power if she's watched everything worth watching. Having said that, I'm always on the lookout for new staple movies to watch at Christmas ("Last Christmas" was the most recent one), so I'm off to screengrab your post above. There must be some good stuff on there!

Clarence Newman

+20 for Clouseau!

Clarence Newman

Dean! Your opening statement is incorrect. That should read "This will be the ONLY Pauly Shore movie on this channel. EVER!"

Clarence Newman

During a live stream, Cassie went through a list of requests by blindly scrolling through her phone (which has potential for trouble) and hit on Howard the Duck and was put on the poll. Once on a poll, chaos happens.

Shawn Kildal

She lives in MT

Shawn Kildal

For Christmas considerations I would suggest Christmas with the Kranks(Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dan Akroyd) and Babes in Toyland (young Drew Barrymore and Keanu Reeves).

YodatheHobbit

Cassie, my one Christmas suggestion would be "March of the Wooden Soldiers" (1934). A fun Christmastime tradition movie and a great way to introduce you to Laurel & Hardy. One of these days we are going to Disneyland together.

Mark Vaderr

Any James Bond watch-a-long should include “Dr No” (1962) as the first EON Bond movie. I make that distinction deliberately because there was a 1954 adaptation of “Casino Royale” on CBS TV in which Bond is an American agent, aided by British agent Clarence Leiter who refers to 007 as “card-sense Jimmy Bond”

Darren Harrison

Christmas movie should be Bad Santa. Very wholesome movie. 😄

Brian McGovern

7:30….is that ET, CT, MT or PT?

Darren Harrison

I wonder if Cassie will remember Lane Smith from My Cousin Vinny.

Shawn Kildal

He became very popular on MTV with his laid back, surfer dude personality and some studio executive somewhere probably thought of capitalizing on it. That's my guess.

Shawn Kildal

Now that Cassie is a Sci-Fi junkie, I've often thought of how much she'd appreciate The Big Bang Theory and in particular the Christmas episode when Penny and Sheldon exchange gifts. I think she'd love it.

Shawn Kildal

Dafuq I searched Jingle

tgriexterminator

You're definitely the weakest pleb I've seen since I joined Patreon. Here's a tissue.

tgriexterminator

Cassie already has a reaction to Scrooged and Miracle on 34th Street (1947). Plus, she's already stated Patrick Stewart's A Christmas Carol is lock for next month.

Shawn Kildal

This might be the weakest month since I joined Patreon. Hoping next weeks pollwinner is something good.

Daniel Karlsson

Thanks… I Try.

Larry Darrell

Gotta have Thunderball (1965) too.

Larry Darrell

I think the Holdovers could be a bit of a holiday classic in the near future.

Chris Thom

Great idea! Carly wasn't on the reaction to the other Miracle on 34th street.

Shawn Kildal

I'm sure Pauly Shore will have Cassy forgetting all about Brad Pitt. Or not.

Shawn Kildal

Frankly I loved Miracle on 34th Street (90s version) I would definitely recommend it!!

Andrew Rose

She's already seen a Christmas Vacation, but she has recently said Patrick Stewart's A Christmas Carol is a lock for next month.

Shawn Kildal

I remember watching Howard the Duck as a kid. I can't remember if it was any good...theres no way it can be any good right? I'm definitely womp womp on the picks from the poll but you just follow your heart. You've had some really good picks in the past (like the Count of Monte Cristo).

My_Cousin_Mose

Harrison Ford said the Holiday Special is the worst film ever made.

Shawn Kildal

Your lists of movies are always awesome btw. If not for the movies themselves, but for the presentation you give.

Shawn Kildal

I watched Meet Me in St. Louis for the first time last year. That house they lived in was stunning. My favorite on your list is Holiday Inn. Love to see a Cassie reaction to a dancing Fred Astaire movie.

Shawn Kildal

Anyone mention Prancer (1989)?

Shawn Kildal

I think she's already seen Gremlins

Shawn Kildal

Patrick Stewart's a Christmas Carol is already a lock according to Cassie. She's already seen Christmas Vacation (before she started the channel). She really disliked Batman 89 so I'm not sure Batman Returns is in the card anytime soon.

Shawn Kildal

Ernest Saves Christmas (1988) is a Classic, and it has been on polls in the Past and Ernest P. Worrell is an Icon. That “V” in V M wouldn’t stand for Vern, would it? I knew you was just kidding. How ya been Vern?

Larry Darrell

Pauly Shore and Howard the Duck. I miss those Oscar polls we used to have.

Shawn Kildal

Son in law is terrible. Can't we give her better movies to watch? What are you guys doing?

V M

M*A*S*H one sounds good

V M

lol Popcorn

V M

+1 for 1951's A Christmas Carol. Ernest saves Christmas? I was jkidding when i suggested that.

V M

Son in law and Howard the duck. A good combo. Thanks. Thanks a lot.

V M

Thumbs up for the 90's version of Miracle on 34th Street.

Shawn Kildal

Some thoughts for Christmas: Scrooged - 1998 (Bill Murray) A Christmas Carol - 1998 (ok, its a made-for-tv-movie, but it stars one of your favorite starship captains) Babes In Toyland - 1934 (aka March of the Wooden Soldiers, stars Laurel and Hardy), and Miracle on 34th Street - 1947 (not one of the re-makes, just know that it isn't about a street hockey game . . . )

2-Can

+1 for The Holdovers (2023)

Clay F

Lucas sure does.

Stick Figure Studios

At the very least, DR. NO, FOR YOUR EYES ONLY and THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH (the ones that came in third in their polls... with one of them losing by only one point).

Stick Figure Studios

Yes to 90s Miracle on 34th Street. Some other christmas movie recommendations Last Holiday (2006) Four Christmases (2008) Arthur Christmas (2011) Klaus (2019) The Holdovers (2023) Honorable mention Babes in Toyland (1986) ....lol.....young keanu reeves though!

dollop

I've said it on the FAQ, but Bishop's Wife (1947) would be a great addition to the Christmas poll. Cary Grant (Arsenic and Old Lace, North by Northwest), David Niven, and Loretta Young. Christmas movie and a romance movie too!

Andrew Buel

Haven't thought about The Ref in forever. That one used to be on cable constantly.

Chris Thom

She watched it last Christmas

Cole Jennett

Supposedly his mom his comedy royalty or something. Think she owned The Comedy Store on Sunset.

Chris Thom

She has not watched Encino Man, but i want her to. Those are the only 2 Pauly Shore I’d recommend

Cole Jennett

Jingle all the way with Anakin and SinBad

tgriexterminator

Do the Paully Shore Collection

tgriexterminator

Pierce Brosnan ftw

tgriexterminator

Has She watched Encino man yet?

tgriexterminator

Son in Law ❤️❤️❤️❤️

DarWeezy

We also need more Bond films with you and Carly at some point!😊

Chris Clarke

Never seen it

MatthewBrown74m

You forget about the Ernest movies - nothings more inexplicable than them.

Richard Maurer

@Larry - yeah, nothing weird in that movie /s

Richard Maurer

Finally a show that Cassie and I agree on.

Richard Maurer

I have two Christmas movies to watch 1 is "the Ref " with Dennis Leary > youll love it and "Pocket Full of Miracles" it's a romcom /fairytale Comedy that tales place during prohibition . I don't know if you're familiar with Ann-Margret but it's her first movie ever Betty Davis is the main character Glen Ford Hope Lange Peter Falk its a perfect movie by frank Capra who did " Its a Wonderfull Life "

(Nolo)finwe

You're going to regret Howard the duck

(Nolo)finwe

oh no say it aint so Lol

(Nolo)finwe

Ditto on Samuel L. Jackson. He said on a late night interview a few years ago, this is one of his favorite roles he’s ever done. And it’s easy to see why. It’s Classic.

Larry Darrell

The inexplicable has become explicable

Witchfinder General

😲

Dan M

Can’t wait for Cassie to experience the tender romance in Howard the Duck.

Richard Maurer

When you were on Temple of the Forbidden Eye did you buy chance have any imaginary visions of Harrison Ford chasing your Jeep with a claw hammer? Yeah...he he. Happy Holidays!

Chris Thom

Oh, don't I know it. I can't stop laughing at every scene Samuel L. Jackson is in.

Zane From Canada

😢

Katie Jackson

Cassie inexplicably is not a fan of Friends😔

Cole Jennett

For your Action Christmas Movies… 100% The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996) It’s up there with Die Hard and Lethal Weapon. Maybe more so.

Larry Darrell

I have not looked to see if Cassie has seen these already but here are my suggestions. Going My Way - 1944 Holiday Inn - 1942 March of the Wooden Soldiers - 1934 Emmet Otters Jug Band Christmas - 1977 A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas - 2011 Trapped In Paradise - 1994

Joel Wayne

Not to be confused with “Return to Paradise”. Though excellent…not a Christmas movie.

Cole Jennett

Christmas movie suggestions: The Long Kiss Goodnight, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Gremlins, The Holdovers, The Ref, Bad Santa, Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights.

Zane From Canada

"I am that jerk!" Not really, but it is one of my favorite lines from The Tick (1994).

Mike Lemon

That film has the strangest work out montage in movie history 😂😂

Dean Holt

My favorite Christmas films are Violent Night, Krampus, and Rare Exports. They really capture the true Christmas spirit…… well for me anyway.

Richard Maurer

I seriously have no idea where that came as well, seems very random.

Dean Holt

I was wondering if anyone would mention Trapped In Paradise.

Joel Wayne

Looking forward to this week, especially ST. As for next week I'll be skipping Howard the Duck because hoo-boy there isn't anything redeeming about that movie haha. Hoping the poll winner for next week is a good one though

Choof

Thanks, but I think Mike Lemon beat me to it by a few minutes. He had some good TV episode recommendations too. I love the Friends episodes but I just figured Cassie had seen them

Katie Jackson

“Wasn’t bad but completely unnecessary” - so your average sequel then.

Richard Maurer

Taking mom to see Wicked tomorrow then I'm seeing Gadiator saturday

Nathan Jasper, the Artist Formerly Known as Primary

Love doing Animated Specials!

Katie Jackson

Alf what a great show that was

Dean Holt

Hi budddy lol.

Dean Holt

Great list Katie! I never even thought about doing reactions to specific episodes in a series…love it! So, once again…as usual…riding the coat tails with a few Friends Christmas episodes: The One With the Holiday Armadillo (S7E10) The One With the Routine (S6E10) The One With Phoebe’s Dad (S2E9)

Dan M

She does NOT need to see Eyes Wide Shut

Joel Wayne

Trapped in Paradise is such an underrated movie. Especially the license plate scene.

bknsty14

Even though I agree the Alistair Sims version is the best (it’s one I watched every year as a kid). The Patrick Stewart film is very good, it’s a shame they didn’t shoot it as an on stage play. So you could see him where he started acting.

Dean Holt

Another one for Trapped in Paradise as I watch it every year.

Dean Holt

Ohhhhhh Jesus I think this will be the first Pauly Shore movie on the channel. This and Howard the Duck could put you off 80s & 90 movies for ever 😂😂, jokes aside I think you will enjoy Son in Law as it’s just a stupid comedy. I’m looking forward to seeing what you think of Trek 3, personally I just think it feels too much like an average two part episode and nothing like a movie. But I really think you will absolutely love Four Weddings. Really love to see a British movie poll as I don’t think you watch enough of them. Regarding Christmas movies the first one that springs to mind is A Christmas Carol from 1999 as Patrick Stewart plays Scrooge. A few others you could watch are Gremlins, Violent Night (Acton Comedy), Krampus (2015), Trapped in Paradise (Nic Cage movie), The Long Kiss Goodnight, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Batman Returns, Santa Claus the movie and the Stallone cut of Rocky 4. But if you’re struggling just watch a few comedy like Uncle Buck or movies with snow in them like Cliffhanger hint hint lol.

Dean Holt

agreed and Lane Smith will always be my Perry White. When I read Superman Comics it’s his voice I hear in my head when it’s Perry speaking.

djKENTO

I can sit through Encino Man but that’s also Brendan Fraser’s charisma and Sean Astin being a cool normal dude. Pauly Shore will just never be my dude.

djKENTO

She reads more than you probably realize

Joel Wayne

Pauly Shore didn't have any good movies but this was the only one I could actually watch.

Joel Wayne

Christmas movies: Gremlins. Fatman.

Brent Petty

I voted for McLintock! (1963)

Larry Darrell

+10 for A Shot in the Dark (1964).

Larry Darrell

I beg to differ on Cassie having seen all the real Classic Christmas Movies. I can think of at least 15 Terrific Classics. Some listed above.

Larry Darrell

(-: Excuse my Tism ;-) Remember the Night premiered on December 31, 1939 and was wide released in January of 1940. Depending on where you look, Remember the Night might have 1939 or 1940 next to it. They are the same film starring Barbara Stanwyck and Fred MacMurray. I always put the date next to films so that Cassie knows she’s watching the right film. You did right, but I always choose to go with 1940. Just clarifying in case. Again… excuse my Tism. ;-)

Larry Darrell

Please do! And there’s more on their channel if you like it.

Scott Macaulay

Hooray, Insurrection! I really liked that movie.

Ben Schwartz

This is the second time I've seen it referenced/recommended... I will have to check that out!

Ben Schwartz

OK... The craziest Christmas movie suggestion ever.... The swedish black comedy "In bed with Santa" aka "Tomten är far till alla barnen" 🎅🎅🎅 Elin here to the left agrees as allways.

Björn Karlsson

I just watched it. Just beautiful.

Stick Figure Studios

McLintock! (1963) was on it. Low blow that was. I’m still looking forward to Howard the Duck though. At the very least, her reaction will be interesting.

Larry Darrell

I Recommend to all you Trekkies to check out the short film ‘765874: Unification’ by the Roddenberry Archive OTOY starring William Shatner returning as Kirk. It just dropped and it’s going viral. It’s a tender wonderful tribute to Kirk, Spock, and a few surprises! Link here: https://youtu.be/mgOZFny7F50?si=n-SAQD3Wm8T_32Zk

Scott Macaulay

Always Black & White if the film was shot in Black & White. Colorizing Black & White is just wrong. Agreed on 1951 with Alastair Sim being the Best Version.

Larry Darrell

+1 for Trapped in Paradise

mikethemotormouth

I vote for a week of Christmas animated/ claymation classics like The Year Without a Santa Clause, Santa Clause is Coming to Town, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Annabelle’s Wish, and Arthur Christmas.

Dan M

Whooooaa! NO you have not seen all the Good Christmas Movies yet. Most of them are Classics, which does not mean they are less important. Here are some that I always find the time to watch every Christmas. I know you will love these and just might make them a yearly ritual for your family. Bachelor Mother (1939)… works for Christmas through New Years. Highly, Highly Recommended. I sent you a DVD Copy last year. Remember the Night (1940)… Tender this one. Meet John Doe (1941)… Frank Capra film. (It’s a Wonderful Life/Mr. Smith Goes to Washington) Holiday Inn (1942)… the film where the song White Christmas originated, starring Fred Astaire and Bing Crosby. The Man Who Came to Dinner (1942)… hilarious screwball romantic comedy. Meet Me in St. Louis (1944)… starring Judy Garland where she sings “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” for the first time. This film is like Steel Magnolias in that it takes place on different holidays. Works for Christmas best though. Christmas in Connecticut (1945)… a Delight this one. The Bishop’s Wife (1947)… a Special Christmas film. Very Special. Highly Recommended. It Happened on Fifth Avenue (1947)… Very Tender this one. I mentioned this film in the comments for Coming to America. I’m sure you might feel better about this movie. Holiday Affair (1949)… starring Janet Leigh (Jamie Lee Curtis’s mom) in a lovely and delightful Holiday Romance. A Christmas Carol (1951)… the Best Film Version, IMO. We’re No Angels (1955)… a Dark Holiday Comedy, that is surprisingly Tender… and starring Humphrey Bogart. Ernest Saves Christmas (1988)… this would be your perfect introduction to Ernest P. Worrell… a Pop Culture Icon. The movie is very funny and sweet as well. Ernest is most endearing. Dutch (1991)… this is another Thanksgiving film written by John Hughes. (Planes, Trains and Automobiles). The Tender Master. Trapped in Paradise (1994)… another Christmas Film starring Nicolas Cage. Very Funny, Very Delightful, Very Tender. You’ll love it. Special Mention: There are two 1940s WWII films that I have adopted as Christmas films for the past 10 years or so. They are absolute watches every Christmas Season now for me. Please consider them to watch for the holidays, even if not for a reaction. I just wish more people would watch these films. Destination Tokyo (1943)… WWII Submarine film made during the war. It takes place at Christmas time. It’s not just the Christmas elements in the film that make this a Christmas film. The camaraderie and overall Goodness of the men in this film easily qualifies it. And there’s never been a better Christmas Morning scene on a WWII submarine before or after. Oh yeah, and it’s got Cary Grant. Battleground (1949)… takes place in December 1944, during the Battle of the Bulge. Now talk about Camaraderie. This film was an influence on Spielberg when he was making Saving Private Ryan. This has everything a Christmas film requires and more. There’s even a Christmas Sermon, right in the middle of the… Battleground. I also sent a DVD copy of both of these films last year. All of these films, I Highly Recommend. Please, Please consider them… even to watch without reacting to. ;-) I Love this time of year by the way. :-)

Larry Darrell

Thanks for sharing

rakesh

This a great choice!

rakesh

All due respect to Patrick Stewart but the best portrayal of Scrooge was done by Alistair Sim in the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol and if you ever do watch it please watch the original black and white version.

Joseph H Searles

I just bought my tickets for Gladiator 2 for tomorrow night. Cannot wait! The trailer looked amazing! If you’re saving Gladiator 2 for the channel Cassie, then I all for a re-watch of the original movie with Carly right before that.

Dan M

So happy Popcorn got out of town. Gotta recharge sometimes.

Uncle Phoenix

Farmers, and Klingons, and Funerals…oh my! What a fun week of movies we’ve got coming our way, starting with The Weasel himself. Gonna be munchin’ on some grindage during that reaction.

Dan M

"Office Christmas Party" (2016). Maybe "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" (2005), it's Christmas-y, but my thought is to have a Shane Black week and knock over "The Last Boy Scout" (1991 - written by Black), "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" (2005 - written and directed by Black), and "The Nice Guys" (2016 - written and directed by Black). Basically a buddy crime action/comedy week generated by a single person that does it well.

Mojo One Thousand

KISS KISS BANG BANG (2005) get good reviews. I haven't seen it. I guess your suggestion of Invictus (2009) fell off the face of the map. I love that movie. Though we did get Silver Linings Playbook (a top movie for me) -- that was one of your suggestions -- right?

Clay F

Don't even put The Star Wars Holiday Special in her head. Cruelty like that is banned by the Geneva Conventions.

Mike Lemon

Technicolor MGM musical what's not to like about it!

David Bockly

Weird is an understatement lol though i'm not gonna lie lea thompson looks amazing in this lol

MatthewBrown74m

Yes to both.

Chris Thom

I absolutely love that movie especially the three love stories strung throughout (yes I'm old too!!)

Louisa Moritz

I don't know for sure that it was a troll. I think some people are legit nostalgic about it. Plus it's one of George Lucas' weirdest movies...so there's that.

Chris Thom

I am definitely looking forward to that day. I have no issue if she never see’s him again after it though, lol

Cole Jennett

Moonstruck technically takes place at Christmastime! So does The Royal Tenenbaums!

Tyler Foster

Although the Christmas content is only about 1/5 of the movie, 1944',s Meet Me In St Louis with Judy Garland and Margret O'Brien is a great musical which introduced " Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" to the country, I think

Sam Wilson

I’m really hoping Cassie will be able to enjoy Son in Law without an attractive leading man. Hopefully the fish out of water situation will endear him to her.

Cole Jennett

I think it may etch Danny DeVito's name into her brain once and for all!

Shehab Dawoud

Yeah, she or her team may veto it. If so, she misses out, as she is fan of Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise.

Clay F

Pauly Shore? Kinda random But alright 😄 If we’re watching Pauly Shore movies, my pick would be Encino Man 😊

Robert da Spruce

YES!!!!! To Son In Law. Thanksgiving-ish enough.

Bryan Erickson

Christmas movie suggestions? The Bishop's Wife (1947), A Christmas Carol with Sir Patrick Stewart (1999), Rise of the Guardians (2012), Christmas In Connecticut (1945), It Happened On 5th Avenue (1947). Oh, and I'll throw this one in for the shock value - The Star Wars Holiday Special!

Dave

'Eyes Wide Shut' gets higher on my Kubrick list every time I watch it. Not sure how she'd feel about it. It certainly won't put her in the traditional Christmas spirit, but it'd be interesting! I doubt it ever gets the green light tho.

Shehab Dawoud

My time with Shore ends before it begins (and I've seen ENCINO MAN and BIODOME).

Stick Figure Studios

Christmas Vacation. A Christmas Carol (with Patrick Stewart)

Vlad D

I second BATMAN RETURNS.

Stick Figure Studios

Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special and then Guardians of the Galaxy 3

Cole Jennett

Yes! Please watch the 90's Miracle on 34th St; it was my favorite Christmas movie when I was a kid!

Maisie

I like that. Christmas specials for TV shows. Good idea.

Clay F

Ahh I'm watching EWS as we speak. +1 for me

Chris Thom

Paulie Shore's stardom isn't inexplicable, it's pure nepotism. His mother owns the famous Comedy Store comedy club in Hollywood, so that's how he got his big break.

Stranger2Reality

Unconventional Christmas recommendation- the Christmas specials for TV shows, specifically- ALF s02e12-13 ALF's Christmas Special MASH s09e05 Death Takes a Holiday Ally McBeal s02e10 Making Spirits Bright and for a nice curveball Black Mirror s02e04 White Christmas That's about 3 hours. Lots of variety, possibly only one "watch slot".

Mike Lemon

Ooh me too. Good one.

Chris Thom

Oh good one. She actually kind of promised to watch Holdovers this year. but probably forgot.

Chris Thom

Home for the Holidays is a Thanksgiving movie, just FYI.

Stranger2Reality

Bwian… aaa… no, Brian…

Jeff Mar

I'm here for Bio-Dome and Encino Man and that's where my time with Pauly Shore begins and ends

mikethemotormouth

I love Son In Law & of course Star Trek. I personally really like Insurrection. I never really liked 4 Weddings and a Funeral but you will probably like it more than me. Here are some other Christmas movies you could react to: *Miracle On 34th Street 90's (Definitely Time for this one) *A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart *The Ref *The Preachers Wife (Denzel Washington & Whitney Houston) *The Night They Saved Christmas *Mickey's Christmas Carol *A Garfield's Christmas Special *A Charlie Brown Christmas *Holiday Specials from TV Series (These could be voted on) Some Christmas Episodes that could be watched: *Frasier- Miracle On 3rd or 4th Street (S1E12) *Cheers- Christmas Cheers (S6E12) *Home Improvement- I'm Scheming Of A White Christmas (S2E12) *The Brady Bunch- The Voice Of Christmas (S1E12) *The Golden Girls- Have Yourself A Very Little Christmas (S5E12) *Full House- A Very Tanner Christmas (S6E12) *Happy Days- Guess Who's Coming To Christmas (S2E11) *Boy Meets World- A Very Topanga Christmas (S5E11) *The Simpsons- Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire (S1E1) *The X-Files- How The Ghosts Stole Christmas (S6E6) *MASH- Death Takes A Holiday (S9E5) *The Simpsons- Marge Be Not Proud (S7E10) *Ally McBeal- Silver Bells (S1E11) *Ally McBeal- Blue Christmas (S3E8) *The Wonder Years- Christmas (S2E3) *The Wonder Years- Christmas Party (S5E9) *Roseanne- No Place Like Home For The Holidays (S5E12) *Roseanne- White Trash Christmas (S6E12) *Frasier- Frasier Grinch (S3E9)

Katie Jackson

It's excellent, and it's a particularly comforting, cozy holiday film. Definitely one of the best films of last year (which is why it got so many awards nominations), and among the best Christmas movies I can think of. For anyone who missed it, I think it's a must watch.

Stranger2Reality

An alternative Christmas film could be operation petticoat, it's has nothing to do with Christmas other than one scene involving a Christmas dinner, but it is feel good and a true Cassie movie. You could also watch (or probably rewatch) the Christmas film starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell where they play Mr & Mrs Clause. Can't remember what it is called. Just throwing another alternative out there you could watch The Hogfather based on a Terry Pratchett book of the same name... Although it is a bit out there and you will either love it or hate it.

James Moy

Not a Christmas movie per se… But growing up they always played “The Sound of Music” on TV at Christmas time… I know you’re not big on musicals… but I think you would really, really like it…

Jeff Mar

I will watch your reactions to 4 Weddings, Insurrection, and maybe Son in Law. I don't really remember 4 Weddings that well but voted for it in the poll. First Contact is the best TNG movie. Looking forward to the Chris Pine Trek movies. Nominations for Christmas movies poll: *Carol (2015). IMDb 7.2, Metacritic 94%, RT 94% *Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer (1964) *National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989). Only 1h 37min *Eyes Wide Shut (1999). Nicole Kidman. Tom Cruise. *Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town (1970) *A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas (2011) *Bad Santa (2003) *"Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas” (1993). IMDb 7.9, Metacritic 82%, RT 95% (audience 92%)

Clay F

'Batman Returns' for Christmas! 'Gladiator 2' was aight, but not more than that. It doesn't really add much to that universe. I'd say watch it in theatres instead of wasting a reaction slot on it. I feel that way about new movies in general, even if they're great.

Shehab Dawoud

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang has been close to winning a couple polls if I recall. I say skip the poll and give it a watch in December. You will 100000% enjoy it.

Jason Murawski

Adding The Hebrew Hammer(2003) and Krampus(2015) to this list

mikethemotormouth

Exactly my thoughts @Kent. It just works…somehow😂

Cole Jennett

Oh heaven sakes.....well.... She will find this rather.... Interesting

MatthewBrown74m

I'm making a note of that one. Always on the look out for a new staple Christmas movie.

Clarence Newman

She would have enjoyed another Stallone movie. I think she would love tango and cash

Nicole

Because on the last YouTube live she picked like 4 movies and put it to a poll and everyone decided to troll her and pick that one.

Alex Gorell

If you're feel adventurous this year here are a couple of "alternative" Christmas films you could check out: Black Christmas (1974) Brazil (1985) Eyes Wide Shut (1999)

Jake McNulty

Howard the duck but but WHY?? LOL

MatthewBrown74m

Son in Law and Encino Man are great. To be fair most Pauly Shore movies suck, but Son in Law is better than it deserves to be.

Kent

Can't wait for Son In Law!

Adam Doyle

Beyond Tomorrow (also known as And So Goodbye and Beyond Christmas) is a 1940 American fantasy film directed by A. Edward Sutherland will never win a poll however it is a very tender film. It is so worth watching was never big box office but always on TV or streaming services during Christmas. Something the whole family can enjoy. Even if you don’t watch it on the channel.

Doc Larry

You're entitled to something a bit more Cassie-friendly occasionally, especially when you're feeling ill, so don't apologise for the poll choices!🙂 I'm going to keep pushing for A Shot In The Dark, in the hopes that people eventually vote for it in sufficient numbers! "Just look at those goosepimples!"

Chris Clarke

Biodome?

RJ MacReady

I think you've seen all the real classic Christmas movies, Cassie. There'll be some stragglers (Patrick Stewart's version of A Christmas Carol being a prime example), but not many. As a special treat for the festive season, I'm sure quite a few of us would love to watch some old favourites at Christmas with you. The Holiday, Last Christmas, Love Actually etc. Not first time watches, obviously, but certainly a nice chunk of cosy nostalgia. Views on YT would probably be strong too.

Clarence Newman

Literally watching that right now.

Stick Figure Studios

Brendan Fraser is what makes ENCINO MAN tolerable.

Stick Figure Studios

Yeah, I'm skipping that reaction too.

Stick Figure Studios

Always look on the bright side of life.

Stick Figure Studios

Not that I am always correct in my predictions of Cassie's reactions (although more often than not I am), but I'm fairly confident that she'll like parts of NEMESIS (though it may be a slog for the rest of us) and yet will ultimately find it an unsatisfactory resolution for these characters. This is why I, a lot of other people, think she should eventually watch the third season of PICARD for a much better ending for this crew.

Stick Figure Studios

THE BISHOP'S WIFE (1947) with Cary Grant should always be on a Christmas poll. Everyone loves it! REMEMBER THE NIGHT (1939) is a Christmas rom-com that's not as well-known, so there you go :)

Paul Stelter

Cassie will like Insurrection just fine. And I think she'll surprise us with how much she enjoys Nemesis. She loves the characters so much, she'll just enjoy it anyway.

Clarence Newman

He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy.

Matt Rose

I wanna see your reaction to the original Cruel Inentions 🤣

William Bryan

Fatman 2020 with Mel Gibson, Better Watch Out 2016, P2 2007 are Christmas movies.

Henry

Over The Top was robbed.

Clarence Newman

Son in law is very strangely one of my favorites. 🤷‍♀️

Nicole

Definitely need to watch that one - way better than the Albert Finney Scrooge Cassie already reacted to.

Clarence Newman

there will never be a better time for KISS KISS BANG BANG. xmas is tenious link though.. not that i'm complaining.

rakesh

Already saw gladiator 2. Got an early screening with a friend who won tickets. It wasn’t bad but completely unnecessary. Wouldn’t watch it again unlike the first one. As for Christmas movies Violent Night gets my vote. 🤣

Alex Gorell

Much much better stuff.

Alex Gorell

That's my fear: I was going to go and see it, but I've lost a lot of enthusiasm now.

Chris Clarke

Cassie, Just do Home Alone. Pencil it under rewatch. But it's THE modern christmas Movie. Think about those evergreen yearly viewing figures!

rakesh

Christmas movie suggestion: 8-BIT CHRISTMAS (2021). Watched it last year and found it quite entertaining and somewhat nostalgic as an 80s kid. Unconventional Christmas movie suggestion: LIFE OF BRIAN (1979). Maybe it's just me, but I usually tend to rewatch it around the Holidays every few year due to the subject matter. Monty Python, so very British humor though. Christmas-adjacent movie suggestion: KISS KISS BANG BANG (2005). A quite underrated crime/comedy with Robert Downey Jr., Val Kilmer, and Michelle Monaghan. It's written and directed by Shane Black, so the story takes place around Christmas time as many of his.

Gábor Árki

And it is a Thanksgiving movie, there’s no arguing that.

Cole Jennett

😂

Cole Jennett

Pauly Shore. I can't do it. Paris Hilton is a better actor than he is.

Shawn Kildal

Christmas recommendations: KISS KISS BANG BANG THE REF HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS THE NICE GUYS

Matt Rose

It’s true, but I still love Son in Law and Encino Man

Cole Jennett

Curious to know what else was on that poll

Philip G.

Aight...who's the jerk that recommend a Pauly Shore movie?

Jacob Wagner

Christmas Suggestions: The Holdovers (2023) (7.9 on IMDB) Bad Santa (2003) (7.0 on IMDB) Christmas Adjacent: Frozen River (2008) (7.1 on IMDB) Lonesome Jim (2005) (6.5 on IMDB)

Witchfinder General

Shhhh. Don't tell anyone but theres a remastered version of Patrick Stewarts A christmas carol on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-xNKq5z5zI

rakesh

Bad movie, but it has some good actors in it (Carla Gugino, Lane Smith, etc).

Stick Figure Studios

She wasn't in that first season when Hallie Mills was there. I could be wrong but I don't think she was a character until Saved By The Bell.

David Freese

As a Christmas movie recommendation, you absolutely should put last year's amazing film The Holdovers on your list. I feel like that is destined to become a Christmas classic, and the way it was filmed it already feels like it's from the 70s. A truly heartwarming, funny and poignant film, I can't imagine you won't love it.

Stranger2Reality

Not a joke unfortunately.

Stick Figure Studios

I'm with you on the 90s version of miracle on 34th street sir Richard Attenborough was brilliant also a great one if Carly is joining you and wants something with a bit of everything id have to go with tim Allen the Santa clause if you haven't seen it it's a Christmas must and one time seems to have forgotten Dudley Moore and Liza minnelli in "Arthur" from 1981 brilliant and funny

Brian Cowgill

It won a YouTube poll during a live chat.. Many of us patrons here are dumbfounded.

Stick Figure Studios

Paulie Shore is the most inexplicable screen star in history

Witchfinder General

I'm glad you all enjoyed Disneyland. I wouldn't object to you watching the 90's "Miracle on 34th Street". Of course it's not as good as the original but it's still got some charm. I'd also recommend "Arthur Christmas" (2011), "Prancer" (1989), "The Snowman" (1982), "Santa Claus: The Movie" (1985) and "The Small One" (1978) for the festive season.

Jake McNulty

Youtube live poll sabotage lol

Gray

She has (as I write this) nearly 13K followers on here so reading and responding to messages would be impossible to keep up. But she can see it here if she likes.

Anthony Carlson

A Christmas Carol (1999) with Patrick Stewart? The Ref (1994) (a home invasion goes wrong during a Christmas party; hilarity ensues) Ernest Saves Christmas? (That one is for Coleton 😂)

Jon Johns

Cheek chillers!!!

Tonda DaRe

It's not terrible (like NEMESIS), just deeply flawed. Definitely a big step down from FIRST CONTACT. I also suspect that Cassie will like it, but the following one is going to be tough.

Stick Figure Studios

Christmas recommendation. "The Lion in Winter" 1968

clays283

I like Pauly Shore for exactly what he is...mindless and silly fun. Perfect for recovery from October.

R F.

on my signal, unleash popcorn.

Matt Rose

I'm guessing you've seen A Christmas Story, ssooo.. um.. Office Christmas Party? Or Kiss Kiss Bang Bang? Here's hoping you have a magical holiday season! 🎄🦌🌨🎁🎅

GomezAddams

I'm so excited for Son-in-law!!! That was always a family favorite in our house but it's been quite a while since I got to see it!

Tonda DaRe

Did I miss something? How the heck did Howard the duck get on a watch list 🤦‍♀️

Nicole

I think Insurrection is better than people give it credit for. My guess is Cassie will like the story.

Fanchman

True story, not kidding. I just happened to be in Santa Monica when they were filming the scenes there for "Son in Law". I was visiting my sister who lived in Santa Monica before my first assignment in South Korea. I didn't see any actors or anything, but saw the production setup and crew. That, is my only claim to fame for being near a Hollywood movie set / production Edited: It was the scene where they are on the beach together.

Bill Maurer

The Bishop's Wife is a great Christmas movie. Starring Cary Grant and David Niven. Please!

William Brownlee

Going in a couple hours and really stoked

Chris Retzlaff

Strength and Honor

Chris Retzlaff

Get well soon, Cassie! If you want a Christmas movie suggestion or two; have you ever seen Santa Claus: The Movie (1985)? Also two classic UK Christmas TV episodes are very enjoyable: (UK Channel 4) Father Ted Christmas special or (BBC) Blackadder Christmas special?

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

Heck yeah, even though last weeks line up was maybe a top ten for me.

Chris Retzlaff

The weasel

He’s never been good ever in his entire life

Matt Rose

Since I'm not a big fan of FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL (which looks like it's going to win the poll) and I loathe Pauly Shore, I have to say the only movie that I'm interested in this week is STAR TREK: INSURRECTION (and even it is one of the weaker entries in the series). Not a great week, but then they can't all be winners.

Stick Figure Studios

“Society of the Snow” please, Cassie

Marcelo

The more I see about Gladiator II ...the more it confirms my suspicions that it was an unnecessary sequel. I'm sure it looks great.. (Ridley Scott strikes again!) But it looks like a lot of retreading.

Michael Enos

Remember her from Good Morning Bliss?

William Bryan

Not a Pauly Shore fan but he is good in this and Encino Man

Cole Jennett

I'm going to be a Gentleman and not bug you while you're sick and on holiday. Have fun!

Clarence Newman

I asked Cassie if she would do a reaction to that fitting tribute to TOS but I don’t think she reads messages.

ArsTropica

Me too!

Cole Jennett

Don’t forget about Kelly Kapowski

Cole Jennett

seeing GLADIIATOR tomorrow. Pumped!

Matt Rose

Pauly Shore??? This is a joke right???

Rosario Cicero

Get well soon 🤞❤️🙏

Neil Varma

Saw this and can’t help but share it here. Very touching tribute! https://youtu.be/mgOZFny7F50?si=Rz6gdbSzzwTUnpJj

Son in Law? Never thought I’d sit through that again… still not sure I will. Carla Gugino tho…
