Hey guys! Here is the YT edit for "The Cabin in the Woods" which will premiere shortly!
Oh so the giant hand was going to kill the whole planet. I thought maybe it was just going to sacrifice the CIA guys.

Yup, the idiot 20somethings who couldn't even manage to organize gas for a road trip decide to end all of human history because of their own dejected beliefs and shitty life experiences. "The world must be bad because I've seen bad in it. Better end it!" Essentially

No question. Though we shouldn't dismiss the Courteney Cox scene in the Sandler version.

Clarence, the Burt Reynolds starring original The Longest Yard is the ONLY version of that film worth watching. You’re absolutely right about Adam Sandler. I never understood the appeal. And Burt Reynolds had more charisma in his pinky finger than Sandler does in his entire body. Sandler substituted snarky smugness for Reynolds’ superior acting and charisma - and it didn’t work, at all.

Absolutely agree about Sandler, Ivan. Have tried to watch a few of his films and I always end up wondering what the appeal is. That's why I always recommend the Burt Reynolds version of The Longest Yard (1974)

Why would anyone want to watch Adam Sandler?...more stupid than funny. You're better off sparking one up and watching Cheech and Chong.

Cassie seeing what happened to the bird and saying, “Whaat? Wakanda?” Lol

Never quite understood the ending. It was all for nothing, right? The whole world was destroyed? Because they wouldn't fit their pre-determined stereotype?

A lot of people still see him as the villain from Billy Madison. Personally I think West Wing erased all that. But then he does this. lol

I'm glad I watched West Wing first!

Just finished watching this YT edit. Wow, what a weird, and random film. Not my cup of tea and I'm pleased it's the last stress headache Cassie is going to have for a while.
I do have one specific complaint to make though. Like Cassie, I've watched the brilliant West Wing series, and like Cassie, whenever Bradley Whitford turns up in a movie, I always react with "Ahh, it's Josh from West Wing." As in, "I liked you in West Wing and I'm glad to see you again, old friend."
But then he turns out be a complete dick in the movie. First Scent of a Woman, now Cabin in the Woods. I'm not falling for it again, Bradley. I'm booing you on sight from now on.

We did, Mike. But I'm sure she'd be up for a rewatch.

Sports movies, yes! They both love them and there's loads of good ones left to watch.
The Hustler (1961) - Pool, Paul Newman (then the sequel, Color of Money, with Paul and Tom Cruise)
The Cincinnati Kid (1965) - Poker, Steve McQueen
The Great Race (1965) - Around the world car race, Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis
The Longest Yard (1974) - American Football, Burt Reynolds
THE CHAMP (1979) - Boxing, Jon Voight. I didn't mean to use block capitals. The film is such a must-watch for Cassie and Carly, they happened all by themselves!
Over The Top (1987) - Arm-wrestling, Stallone
It's very noticeable that they don't make good sports movies anymore. Then again, why bother, when you can just shoehorn an actor/actress into a spandex suit and pay your CGI department to divert people from your threadbare cliche of a script?
Sigh.

He ended his own career by being a total piece of shit, but worth mentioning this was co-written by Joss Whedon. Creator of Firefly.

Winnedebago! Fantastic! Winnedecontest, WinnedeSuperbowl, but you didn't Winnedegirl! My friend wanted to marry a man, but only if he had a yatchet. She meant yacht but pronounced it like hatchet. Good times!

She watched almost all of the movies in October but they don’t hit YouTube until a week later. Tender movies are coming, don’t you worry.😊

I thought we were in Tender November.... I paused for all of October (Except Star Trek). We need a Cassie and Carly sports romcom as a palette cleanser.

Hopefully you were able to get a lot of the horror tropes being memed here, but I suspect that may not be the case. If not, watching this probably comes across like watching Deadpool if you've watched hardly any comic book movies. This is a good movie, but it's really for a fairly specific audience. I wouldn't have recommended this one for you, but I'm curious to see your reaction nonetheless.
