@inspectordh. The very mention of Star Trek sometimes triggers some PTSD on here. Some of us Trekkies get carried away and start to twitch when there's no Trek on the channel, so we suggest that Cassie watch everything from the animated series to Babylon 5 (Chekov's in it) and even the new crap, so it can never end. Problem is, the non-Trekkies who've responded to this post have been twitching for nearly a year because a) there has been a LOT of Trek on the channel, and b) they're clearly well prejudiced against Vulcans. We've tried to get them cancelled but they're protected by the annoying quality of having a point. For you personally, who innocently walked into the middle of an ongoing punch-up, we need to return to the original spirit of your post.... First Contact! Woo-woooo!!

Yeah, that's not happening, Bryan. Cassie's initial Star Trek journey always had set milestones - a few original Trek episodes, then the original movies, then a few episodes from every season of TNG, then the TNG movies, then the Chris Pine movies, and done. She'll come back to Trek in a year or so's time, I have no doubt, and maybe then she'll watch DS9. It's a tough one, though, because while you can cherry pick episodes from TOS & TNG, DS9 is more of a story arc. We'll have to see.

The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019) is definitely more a tender November movie than Coming to America. The connections between the 3 main characters are very tender. Also, The Peanut Butter Falcon arguably does more for Down syndrome people than any movie in history. Plus, The Peanut Butter Falcon is entertaining and an awesome movie. To be honest, it was the beginning of the Star Trek burnout. Enterprise ended 3 years after Nemesis (With just 5 seasons). That’s what happens when you put too many shows and movies over a short span of time. I feared the MCU was going to experience this.

The one I am most excited about though is SOME LIKE IT HOT. One of the greatest comedies ever to come out of Hollywood. As I said on Discord, the Eddie Murphy star power (independent of how good or entertaining the movie) contributed to the inflated number of votes in the poll for Coming to America, which is not a horrible movie but not the best early Eddie Murphy movie. Have the tissues ready -- the accent may drive you to tears. Eddie Murphy is a comic genius -- thus good to watch for that reason.

First Contact is the last Star Trek movie you can watch without significant Deep Space 9 spoilers. Just FYI ;) DS9 won't be terribly friendly for doing Youtube videos on, but you will enjoy the show, I promise :) So many AMAZING story archs for the heroes and villains alike!
