Coming Right Up!

REmember remember the first week of November, or something like that.

Hey guys, hope you're having a great week so far. Hope your Halloween was fun and safe and that you got to see lots of cute kids in cute costumes. We had over 500 trick or treaters!! Can't believe we have an election, daylight savings and a Halloween hangover all in the same week!

I feel like my house/life/mind is chaos right now. I have a plan. In college when we would like a boy, my roommates and I would make a "Plan get your Man" and now as a thirty something hot mess of a mom, I am making a "PLAN GET YOUR LIFE TOGETHER!" Not as catchy, but hopefully more successful. This plan requires a lot of baby steps and the first step was to clean my disgusting minivan yesterday. CHECK freaking MARK! Today the step is to clean my room, put away all the laundry and organize one drawer in my kitchen. RIVETING stuff I know! Anyways thats my exciting week. WHO is with ME?!

Although much more exciting than picking up french fries between seat cracks is THIS WEEKS MOVIES!! I am so excited for all 3, all very different, but all highly requested and anticipated!

I also just posted this SEQUEL SHOWDOWN POLL, it is going to be TIGHT! Go Vote (on both things today youknowhwatimean?)

Also we OFFICIALLY released the podcast last week, Popcorn to go! Thank you all so much who have watched/listened/subscribed/patreoned. The feedback has been so great and we are excited about this little side talkie talkie.

Ok I think that's all! I know today might be cray cray and a lot of people are anxious nervous. I just keep telling myself that no matter who wins I can only control myself. I can be a peacemaker, be kind, try to raise good kids and be of service as much as I can!

Thank you all for everything!

Cassie

Another really good one was "Mr. Roberts". Jack Lemmon along with James Cagny and Henry Fonda.

If you can't see the video in the "YT Edit" post, you may just have to wait for the Rumble upload. They look to be about 200 videos behind, so it may be awhile. Hopefully they can speed up the videos that are blocked though. https://rumble.com/c/PopcornInBedOfficial

Mike Lemon

Wasn’t there a poll that a Carly reaction to WALL-E won??

SeanATX

Interesting, it would just be nice to have an update for the canadians, is it still coming down the pipe for us? Lol

NSG MMA

That's weird. I still see it just fine with my VPN set to ... Bosnia and Herzegovina. I wonder why Canada has it blocked?

Mike Lemon

People on YouTube are pretty pissed off about it.

Chris Thom

Please watch The Fly and dedicate to The Oddi's 22 year anniversary first film we watched together

rakesh

Seems like she messed up bad. Just the way the cookie crumbles, But life goes on.

Phil

Dammit, Byrd! Now it's my favourite film ever!

Clarence Newman

A scantily clad Lea Thompson is really the only decent part of the movie. 🤐

Byrd N. Hand

I’m in Canada too😊

Cole Jennett

Im not sure, I clicked on my YouTube notification and it came up, but said it contains content from some company and it has been blocked in my country .

NSG MMA

Did it actually end up premiering at all? I looked shortly after it was due to start and it was already gone.

Cole Jennett

Just noticed YouTube Cabin in the Woods is blocked in Canada. 💙

NSG MMA

The one episode of ds9 I think she would enjoy is Trials and Tribbulations since she enjoyed The Trouble with Tribbles. Not saying she has to watch the whole series, just that episode. Just my opinion

inspectordh

This far, no farther

inspectordh

@V M - that’s too much for Cassie!!!!!!

Richard Maurer

Ernest saves Christmas. kidding of course

V M

She should not watch it.

V M

Black Christmas, Trollhunter or Rare Exports.

Just Plain Bob

@Happy Hanukkah: God only knows.

Stick Figure Studios

SEVEN YEAR ITCH is fun. Also, THE MISFITS.

Stick Figure Studios

It's a classic for a reason.

Stick Figure Studios

Can't see any other reason why she would have to watch DS9 before the TNG movies, Bryan.

Clarence Newman

did I say it would.

Bryan Lee Brumbeloe

I think you're wrong, cherry pick will work just fine

Bryan Lee Brumbeloe

She is hereby CANCELLED. lol

Chris Thom

I don't know, I think people (millennials especially) have real nostalgia for that one. It's one of the first movies I remember ever seeing. Don't think I would suggest it per se, but it's definitely one of those strange memories from childhood that seem like a weird dream.

Chris Thom

I was thinking Black Swan for early December, or maybe right after Christmas.

Chris Thom

Absolutely agree, highly unlikely to happen.

Richard Maurer

That might be cutting her nose off to spite her face. I think it will do decent numbers on YT, people love a train wreak.

Richard Maurer

That . . . is deviously brilliant!

Mike LL

I think Cassie should do one scary but not to scary Christmas movie, and I think the perfect one would be Krampus just the right mix of scary and goofy

Edward Robson

Maybe. I didn't watch DS9 until I was an adult well after it was released and I didn't have too much issue with it. It helps more that I know now but it wasn't a game breaker.

Yaisu

OK, I've just had a great idea. Most of us who actually like Cassie would probably agree that the jolly japesters on Youtube who voted for Howard the Duck were mostly trolls who just wanted to give her the worst movie they could find to watch. Cassie is a woman of her word so she's stuck with having to watch it, but I've got the perfect way she can get back at the Youtubers who recommended it. Make it Patreon only. 😆

Clarence Newman

@inspectordh. The very mention of Star Trek sometimes triggers some PTSD on here. Some of us Trekkies get carried away and start to twitch when there's no Trek on the channel, so we suggest that Cassie watch everything from the animated series to Babylon 5 (Chekov's in it) and even the new crap, so it can never end. Problem is, the non-Trekkies who've responded to this post have been twitching for nearly a year because a) there has been a LOT of Trek on the channel, and b) they're clearly well prejudiced against Vulcans. We've tried to get them cancelled but they're protected by the annoying quality of having a point. For you personally, who innocently walked into the middle of an ongoing punch-up, we need to return to the original spirit of your post.... First Contact! Woo-woooo!!

Clarence Newman

One of Cassie's HUGE failings as a human being is that she dared to watch some great movies that weren't rom-coms before she started the channel. With no consideration whatsoever for her future patrons! We've all been suffering ever since.

Clarence Newman

lol Cassie your "Plan to get your man" sounds a bit like stalking... just sayin' :P

Andrew Rose

I've recommended Seven Year Itch, William. I rewatched it a couple of months ago and was reminded of how fun and funny it is. I would also recommend Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

Clarence Newman

As for not getting the odd in-joke in First Contact, it won't even cause a ripple in her enjoyment.

Clarence Newman

Yeah, that's not happening, Bryan. Cassie's initial Star Trek journey always had set milestones - a few original Trek episodes, then the original movies, then a few episodes from every season of TNG, then the TNG movies, then the Chris Pine movies, and done. She'll come back to Trek in a year or so's time, I have no doubt, and maybe then she'll watch DS9. It's a tough one, though, because while you can cherry pick episodes from TOS & TNG, DS9 is more of a story arc. We'll have to see.

Clarence Newman

Yes I've been recommending that for years.. FINALLY!!! Can't wait

Ryan Towell

I've been asking for Some Like it Hot for ages it seems. So happy it's getting watched!

Julie

She’ll probably have problems understanding part of it, especially the introduction to the Defiant, since she hasn’t seen any DS:9

Michael Tuffin

This is a better post than most of us deserve! And hopefully "An Officer And A Gentleman" will lead to "First Knight" - the final leg in Richard Gere's "trinity of romance" along with "Pretty Woman", which Cassie has seen. Maybe TMI, but every time my ex-wife would get one of those out, I knew I was on the clock.

David Collins

I'm impatient. I need First Contact released asap!

Yaisu

I believe Cassie has watched good will hunting prior to the channel. Too bad as it's great.

Canadianant

No Good will hunting reaction? bonkers!

Phil

She won't get The Defiant joke or why Worf is flying it also it's chronological order.

Bryan Lee Brumbeloe

I'm talking chronologically.

Bryan Lee Brumbeloe

I still can’t believe that Star Trek wasn’t continued in October with First Contact. It would have fit right in…

Bagofsoup

Happy to be back to "normal" here, just not into the horror world, but I can understand one month a year for those who do, was a great month for rewatches and looking for things I missed.

Keith Jones

It would make a great November movie to recover from all the October fright movies.

David Collins

THE best, as far as I'm concerned. I also really liked Insurrection. The last movie was meh

Ben Schwartz

By the way, Cassie, don't forget my BRILLIANT suggestion of "Upcoming Where We Belong" as your next Upcoming title. It's catchy, clever and you will have to watch Officer and a Gentleman to use it. Just saying.

Clarence Newman

Sad she was so unhappy. Have you watched "The Seven Year Itch". Another very fun movie with Marilyn.

William Brownlee

I'm gutted

Clarence Newman

Marilyn was the only poster I ever had on my wall as a kid. Absolute goddess.

Clarence Newman

The Great Race is a great shout. It's pretty long but it's so fun, I doubt Cassie would notice.

Clarence Newman

Beverly Hills Cop is a really fun movie. Eddie was special.

Clarence Newman

Clarence: https://youtu.be/sOtgMujbZsY?si=bUaYg7qYRmQ5uW2i

Anthony Carlson

Anthony. Have you just stolen off me the only good scene I THOUGHT was in Nemesis?

Clarence Newman

Now I'm rooting for you even more.

Clarence Newman

Yeah, "Some Like It Hot" is fine, but nowhere near the funniest movie ever made, as AFI ranked it several years ago. But I'll still take it over virtually all of these lowbrow, way too in-your-face, raunchy 21st century comedies.

Byrd N. Hand

One of the best Trek films 🥳

Rick Tunnicliffe

Woo First Contact! 🖖🏻

Peter Rising

No. Could you tell me what it is? :-P

Happy Hanukkah

Yay! Coming To America! Hopefully this leads to Beverly Hills Cop sooner rather than later. The foot dragging on that one baffles the hell out of me.

David Collins

inspectordh, I’m sorry if I came across as harsh. My remark wasn’t actually meant for you, but rather the incessant caterwauling by some for additional Trek series reactions. It was simply that the topic came up, so I commented. From one Trekkie to another, no offense was intended.

Just Plain Bob

First Contact!

Elias Shaikh

HEEYUH!!!

Ben Schwartz

Cassie, Carly has to watch "Some Like It Hot" with you, since it is on her Romantic List. :)

Mark Vaderr

The line must be drawn HERE

SnabbKassa

Great line. Lol. Pretty sure that's the last sentence in the movie.

Chris Thom

Women love Marilyn Monroe. Knew she was popular with men...never really realized how popular she was with girls until I took a field trip to Hollywood in high school and all the girls were decked out in Marilyn swag.

Chris Thom

I do think they would love it. Very sweet movie.

Chris Thom

Awe cute. Had never heard that before. Santa Rosa is a fun place to visit for Peanuts stuff. And movie locations.

Chris Thom

She might like it more than Big Trouble in Little China tbh.

Chris Thom

Still so mad that awful movie won that live poll 😆😅

shaneth138

Way more of a tender November movie I agree. I don’t even know why Coming to America was even on a poll for this, it’s a comedy sure, but I wouldn’t exactly call it a “tender” movie. The Peanut Butter Falcon is the epitome of a tender movie.

shaneth138

Yeah but this movie in particular is about a kid with down syndrome and Cassie even said on a live that she realllyy wants to watch it because her sister is special needs. So it’s more than me just saying, “please watch this movie because I like it.” This is me saying, if you want to watch it you should, because voters will never vote for something post 2010 despite her being way more into movies like The Peanut Butter Falcon.

shaneth138

You can watch it as a stand alone

Clay F

Joel, my thought also. Hopefully, she will forget about it.

Clay F

First Contact is the only excellent TNG movie imo. IMDb 7.6, Metacritic 70%, RT 93% (audience 89%) = First Contact IMDb 6.6, Metacritic 55%, RT 49% (audience 57%) = Generations IMDb 6.4, Metacritic 64%, RT 55% (audience 44%) = Insurrection IMDb 6.4, Metacritic 51%, RT 38% (audience 49%) = Nemesis

Clay F

The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019) is definitely more a tender November movie than Coming to America. The connections between the 3 main characters are very tender. Also, The Peanut Butter Falcon arguably does more for Down syndrome people than any movie in history. Plus, The Peanut Butter Falcon is entertaining and an awesome movie. Has the beautiful Dakota Johnson who is the daughter of Melanie Griffith starring in Working Girl (1988) another candidate in the poll. You can see movements and mannerisms of Dakota Johnson in Melanie Griffith. IMDb 7.6, Metacritic 70%, RT 95% (audience 96%) = The PBF (2019) IMDb 7.1, Metacritic 47%, RT 73% (audience 85%) = C to A (1988)

Clay F

Exactly.

Stick Figure Studios

@aarswft: Are you familiar with the site "Let Me Google That For You?"

Stick Figure Studios

Eh, it’s okay ;-)

Richard Maurer

We’re just joking around. It’s all good.

Richard Maurer

Hopefully it is brushed under the rug and forgotten.

Joel Wayne

I withdraw my comment. Didn't mean anything bad

inspectordh

@Bob - Welcome aboard.

Mike Lemon

I like Trek - and I hope Cassie stops after the Next Generation movies.

Richard Maurer

Why would I care what Jordan Peterson thinks?

Richard Maurer

Enough Star Trek for awhile, once we get through these movies.

Richard Maurer

Sorry for being excited. 🙄

inspectordh

let's get The Great Race next!

Walter

I couldn't love DS9 more - and I do hope Cassie checks it out - but you certainly don't need to before First Contact.

Walter

Yay, First Contact!!

Paul Ramirez

Oh yeah? Well then, *why* is Howard the Duck?! :-)

Happy Hanukkah

The question isn't dumb, but ignoring the existence of Google and relying on a comment section is certainly a choice.

aarswft

Let's hope Carly doesn't keep your comment in mind when watching the movie! :-)

Happy Hanukkah

I didn't say "Greatest." :-) But the oblique answer is: the one built by Sheldon Adelson.

Happy Hanukkah

To be honest, it was the beginning of the Star Trek burnout. Enterprise ended 3 years after Nemesis (With just 5 seasons). That’s what happens when you put too many shows and movies over a short span of time. I feared the MCU was going to experience this.

Anthony Carlson

That was actually from Star Trek Insurrection Clarence. Just FYI lol

Anthony Carlson

Oh, you asked "when" it is! I am sorry. I misread your comment. I thought you asked "what" it is.

Stick Figure Studios

Yeah, she really doesn't.

Stick Figure Studios

You are correct, Cole.

Stick Figure Studios

NEMESIS was the movie that made me give up on Star Trek for a while. I thought Ebert put it perfectly in his beautiful takedown of the film (one of my favorite reviews he's ever written).

Stick Figure Studios

I’m fairly certain it long pre-dates the movie

Cole Jennett

Probably a dumb question...but any idea if that 'Fifth of November' rhyme is just from the movie, or did English kids actually grow up with that?

Chris Thom

No, but it is on the "already watched" list.

Mike Lemon

Some wear the sign of the elephant and some wear the sign of the mule But, we'll hold the sign of the beagle high and love will shine right through -From the best political song ever https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QddHVitk7KA

Mike Lemon

Is V For Vendetta already on the channel??

Chris Thom

No. She doesn't.

Mike Lemon

Richard, I grew up a Trekkie and have multiple copies of the original series on dvd and blu ray. But the constant calls for more Trek more quickly and particularly for additional Trek beyond the promised upcoming movies has grown almost as wearisome as the constant whining about October’s emphasis on “scary” movies.

Just Plain Bob

Oh, I forgot to say, Coming to America is a Carly movie! It really is a sister’s movie!

Mike LL

Jordan Peterson is very pleased with Cassie. Now the rest of you clean your damn rooms!

Stephen Malloy

What's the second best republic?

Respect the Cockerel

It's a great movie

Respect the Cockerel

It's election day for most of your patrons in This Great Republic, and you're announcing a movie focusing on a prince? Harumph! Would you be related to English Bob, perchance? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3WuX4JEKZU&t=832s :-) By the way, allow me to congratulate you on what a clean van you have!

Happy Hanukkah

Historically it is the first Marvel movie ever made. Based on the hilarious comic book series, it's a film produced by George Lucas that was a total flop at the box office because it is really awful.

Stick Figure Studios

And If she doesn't like it... well, nobody's perfect.

Stick Figure Studios

I like Nemesis myself. You can't beat Picard, Data and Worf having a Gilbert and Sullivan sing-song. "His bosom should heave and his heart should glow, And his fist be ever ready for a knockdown blow!" The rest is pure ka-ka, but c'maaaaahnn!

Clarence Newman

Jack Lemmon was a treasure.

Stick Figure Studios

Whenever it is, it's too soon.

Stick Figure Studios

Definitely not the minority. Most people consider it the best of the TNG movies if not the best Star Trek movie of all.

Stick Figure Studios

COMING TO AMERICA is kind of fun. I can see you enjoying it. FIRST CONTACT has been a long time coming and it's going to make a lot of people very happy. The one I am most excited about though is SOME LIKE IT HOT. One of the greatest comedies ever to come out of Hollywood. Jack Lemmon (from GRUMPY OLD MEN) and Tony Curtis (Jamie Lee Curtis's father) are both hysterical and the iconic Marilyn Monroe makes her first appearance on the channel. A true classic for a reason. I'm looking forward to that reaction.

Stick Figure Studios

We love what we love! We can’t help it!

Mike LL

We've all tried the "watch it anyway" ploy, Shane. But I'm rooting for you.

Clarence Newman

You have to watch DS9 before the TNG movies!

Bryan Lee Brumbeloe

As if I needed a reason to forget things! :-)

Happy Hanukkah

High times, Mike! And it'll all be capped off with a reaction to AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN! (I'm sorry, I can't help it!!!)

Clarence Newman

This is one of the greatest PiB weeks ever. Just look at that line up of hit movies! Eddie, and Marilyn and the Borg, oh my! I live in extreme anticipation!!!

Mike LL

I would go for this or another true portrayal of Veterans. Something like Patton, The Outpost, or American Sniper.

Bill Maurer

I love "Some Like It Hot". A screwball comedy. With Marilyn Monroe. I hope you enjoy this movie. I hope others decide to watch the whole movie. I hope you recognize Jack Lemmon. I didn't watch any of the horror movies, but really looking forward to this one.

William Brownlee

I know you probably won’t see this in the sea of comments you get but I think you should just watch The Peanut Butter Falcon regardless of poll results. That movie will never win a poll but will be more important to you than a movie like Coming To America ever will.

shaneth138

A killer line up! Looking forward to all of these!

Silver Machine

You can watch it as a stand alone

Respect the Cockerel

I enjoyed First Contact quite a lot and I was only mildly familiar with the TNG cast.

Cole Jennett

It's looking like November is going to be a doozy. As for gaining control of the chaos, Cassie, just remember: a little at a time is how it gets done. One thing, one task, one moment at a time. No environment can defeat a patient and relentless woman.

Clarence Newman

Too late now, Richard. Your membership has been accepted.

Clarence Newman

Heartbreak Ridge with Clint. Cassie would love it.

Clarence Newman

ome like it ho. Tru dat. Looking forward to some trek! 🖖

rakesh

Think she needs a buffer from the horror movies before she tackles that lol

Gray

For what it’s worth, first contact was the very first Star Trek thing in general I watched. I was able to follow along and enjoy it. In fact, it’s what got me into Star Trek.

Cody Nelson

"Instead of wrapping birthday presents & Christmas presents..." I have two words for you - gift bags. Throw the gift in, slap some paper on top, fill out the tag, and boom, all done. Then gather them up and use 'em next year.

Mike Lemon

It's definitely the best of the next generation.

Kevin Charley

"perhaps in the distant future i'll start the series" (Next Generation) Start on Season 3, get seasons 1 and 2 later. But to answer the question, you'll be fine. Movie producers (except, maybe, modern Marvel) don't make movies that require watching hundreds of episodes to "keep up".

Mike Lemon

Are you kidding it’s the best film of the Star Trek franchise. It’s executed perfectly

Travis

I'm in the minority but first contact is my personal fav. I mean it may not be the best executed film, but it really gets your mind going as is playes on real fermi paradox theory of alien life.

Thats MR. Baldamort

When is Howard the Duck? lol

Jakob Rygh

First contact is the best star trek film imho!

Travis

It will be fine to watch stand alone but if you want to get the most out of it watch the best of both worlds part 1 and 2 from season 3 and 4

Travis

Out of interest is it worth watching First Contact if i've not really watched any Star Trek or will I be a bit lost, i've always skipped the Star Trek posts and cba going from the start now as it's alot of hours of watching (perhaps in the distant future i'll start the series)

Gray

We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

Anthony Carlson

"Remember remember, the 5th of November" that's how the line goes lol! Just so happens today is one of my best friends birthday today, my Canadian best friend lol! That is a movie, V FOR VENDETTA, that you should react to someday! Unfortunately, my Halloween was a bore, I never get trick or treaters in my neighborhood even though I put candy out just in case, my neighborhood is practically a graveyard (pun intended) lol😂 However, recently I went to an Anime convention in Pasadena, CA! I cosplayed my favorite character Kirito from SAO (Sword Art Online) not that I expect you to know who that is, but that's okay lol! I even got to meet several of my favorite anime voice actors there too, took lots of pictures that I would so love to show you, my friends were with me as well, we had a lot of fun! I do so hope you and the family had a wonderful, fun, and safe Halloween, I really liked your Goldie Hawn costume from OVERBOARD that you shared in your last update, you nailed it! No offence to lovely Goldie Hawn, but she's got nothing on you lol😇 If I may, since as you said in your college days for "Plan get your Man", help with the rhyme for your new one, "PLAN GET YOUR LIFE TOGETHER IF YOU CAN", not trying to sound discouraging, it just helps the rhyme LOL🤣🙏 And I'm with ya every step of the way lol😁✌ I'm really looking forward to your full-length reaction of COMING TO AMERICA, that's such a classic, and your YT-Edit of WHAT LIES BENEATH, guilty as charged I couldn't help but laugh at you and Carly's jumpscares LMHO (Laugh My Head Off)🤣🤣🤣 I saw your sequels poll and I voted, those are all great sequels, but my vote is for AUSTIN POWERS THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME, I'm just so eager for you to see that one, not only because it's just as hilarious as the first one, but I'm also eager to see you react to the third one (my favorite) because of certain moments that I just can't wait to see the look on your face to see how shocked you'll be, I'll be laughing so hard I'll probably fall out of my chair lol! Me personally, I do so hope you'll react to sequels like RAMBO 2, PREDATOR 2, BLADE 2, etc. those are awesome sequels, despite what I'm sure most would say lol! On a side note, there's one childhood fantasy favorite movie you had on a voting poll a long time ago that I so hope you will react to someday, and I know you (and Carly if she joins in) will love it, the fantasy movie WILLOW, it's a classic! I'm sorry, but I haven't seen you Podcast "yet"! Glad you're doing well Cassie, looking forward to your future reactions! Love and support always, you and Carly are the best, take care and God bless y'all and the family🥰😇🙏😁😉🤗👍✌🌹

Coming to America and First Contact 🔥🔥

Thanks for the Remembrance Reminder, peeps: I always make a point of watching They Shall Not Grow Old this time of year (the Peter Jackson produced film). Not an easy watch, but very important I think so I got the disc. 🎶"Parlez-vous?"

First Contact hype!

Laura Thornley

Got to be Born on the Fourth of July

Respect the Cockerel

And romance! Cassie's been hoping for more of that in Star Trek.

Chris Clarke

People, let’s keep politics out of these discussions

Dan M

Whoa, great line-up! Looking forward to this week!

Walter

Are we getting a Veterans Day movie reaction???

Bill Maurer

She has to watch all of DS9 honestly. Watching the whole thing won't be good for the channel, but it is definitely a good candidate for her personal binge watches!

James

Yeah Nemesis is pretty bad. It just doesn't make any sense. The greatest spy agency in the galaxy figured an extra worker was worth it over tying up loose ends. ooooook....

James

Absolutely agree. This is not the place to discuss politics.

Dan M

Awww shoot, I just saw it

Edgar Gonzalez

It will be well worth the wait

Dan M

Whoop-whoop for Patreon this week!😊

Chris Clarke

Where does it say that???

Edgar Gonzalez

It was a just a month you had to wait. You people are making me regret supporting Star Trek.

Richard Maurer

This line up of movies is fantastic! I’m pumped for all 3! Remember, remember the first 3 movies of November! I love that you have a plan of attack for life’s hurdles, Cassie. I’ve tried and tried to do the same thing for so many years , but life always seems to throw a curveball when I least expect it, and the steps in my plans start to fall like dominoes in a straight line. Not that I don’t plan ahead anymore, but now I try to have a plan B, a plan C, and a plan D. “Life is what happens to you when you’re busy making other plans” - John Lennon

Dan M

The full poem Remember, remember, the 5th of November, Gunpowder, treason and plot. I see no reason Why gunpowder treason Should ever be forgot. Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, 'twas his intent To blow up the King and the Parliament Three score barrels of powder below Poor old England to overthrow By God's providence he was catch'd With a dark lantern and burning match Holler boys, holler boys, let the bells ring Holler boys, holler boys God save the King!

Mac61

I can't wait for your reaction to Some Like It Hot (1958). There is a really great BBC Scene by Scene interview with the late, great actor Jack Lemmon. He talks about Some Like It Hot (1958) at 13:32 but he also talks about other great films he made including The Apartment (1960), Save the Tiger (1973) and Glengarry Glen Ross (1992). Also at 37:35, there is a very powerful, profound moment where Jack Lemmon describes taking a trip to Berlin in 1960, with Billy Wilder, (on a day off from doing publicity for The Apartment (1960)) and seeing the ravaged houses that were once Jewish homes ("There were bullet marks all over, like the buildings had measles.."). Trust me, it is one of the most profound, moving anecdotes you will ever hear in an interview. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-L4Odes8Oc

Richard Maurer

Ever since we started TNG I've been excited for First Contact, II and VI were my old favorites 1A and 1B but First Contact bumped both to the second place.

Bubba Fett

She gonna wish she did first contact in October haha

FleetAdmiralJ

Looking forward to First Contact and Some Like it Hot. As I said on Discord, the Eddie Murphy star power (independent of how good or entertaining the movie) contributed to the inflated number of votes in the poll for Coming to America, which is not a horrible movie but not the best early Eddie Murphy movie. Have the tissues ready -- the accent may drive you to tears. Eddie Murphy is a comic genius -- thus good to watch for that reason.

Clay F

I wrote to Cassie that since she enjoyed The Trouble with Tribbles she should watch the Deep Space Nine episode Trials and Tribbulations

inspectordh

Finally Star Trek First Contact!!

inspectordh

Then the electors are allowed to just make their own choice

Respect the Cockerel

It’s nice of you to check on me Cassie! But honestly I’m fine😉😆

I would be more interested to see what happens if nobody voted at all.

Nathan Jasper, the Artist Formerly Known as Primary

There is a general rule against discussing politics. She didn't make of point of it. This is what she said in the text above: "I know today might be cray cray and a lot of people are anxious nervous. I just keep telling myself that no matter who wins I can only control myself. I can be a peacemaker, be kind, try to raise good kids and be of service as much as I can!"

Clay F

Cassie desperately trying to get back to Star Trek. She is a full blown fan. 🖖

+1 for V for Vendetta (2005). The guy is articulate. Natalie Portman = great acting and beautiful.

Good line up! I am most interested in Coming to America, as that is such a classic movie!

Michael@GetFitwithDogs

Exactly. She made a point of not picking a side, so everyone should respect that.

Jared, my thougts exactly. First Contact is the only excellent TNG movie.

She made a point of not picking a side in her comments to avoid others doing the same.

Cole Jennett

I think she has seen V for Vendetta

Cole Jennett

Remember remember the 5th of November Gunpowder treason and plot I know of no reason The gunpowder treason Should ever be forgot

Nathan Jasper, the Artist Formerly Known as Primary

First Contact is my favorite TNG movie. Unfortunately the remaining movies go downhill. Nemesis isn't even canon in my mind lol

Jared Cobb

It would be nice if she were watching it but of course it doesn't exactly fit into "Tender November," despite a few scenes...

Tyler Foster

First Contact is my fav TNG movie, but Cassie will have no background on Worf and why he is not on the Enterprise.

Devilfrog

"Some like it hot" is a timeless classic, you'll love it.

Dmitry Ishkov

Can we keep our choices for either side of the election out of the comments please??

Michael Enos

Will this be the thing that finally gets me through the TNG movies? Looking forward to Some Like It Hot, anwyay.

Tyler Foster

Ugh, my life is a mess too, Cassie! My baby steps are literally baby steps. Instead of collecting ALL the laundry at once, I've been bringing handfuls to the laundry room. Tackling all the pots and pans one at a time. Instead of wrapping birthday presents & Christmas presents all at once, you guessed it: one at a time. Literal baby steps!! Stay vigilant Mrs thirty-something!

Jon Johns

First contact is definitely the one I've been waiting for, looking forward to it!

JohnnyUtah

Count Dankula just uploaded a cool Guy Fawkes madlads episode

Looking forward to the First Contact reaction. I was in high school when this one came out. I skipped school to go see it.

First Contact is the last Star Trek movie you can watch without significant Deep Space 9 spoilers. Just FYI ;) DS9 won't be terribly friendly for doing Youtube videos on, but you will enjoy the show, I promise :) So many AMAZING story archs for the heroes and villains alike!

James

Can't wait to watch the first contact one. I'll be purchasing the uncut reaction if it's up for sale individually like the one for Generations was 🖖🏻

Wrestling With Gaming

I am beyond excited for first contact, if you haven't watched already pay attention to the incredible score of the movie, one of Jerry Goldsmiths best

Choof

Remember, remember the 5th of November, gunpowder, treason and plot; I see no reason why gunpowder treason should ever be forgot. One of my favorite movies

Perfect week. I have all three of these movies on 4K!!
