Added 2024-08-22 00:35:40 +0000 UTC
Hey guys! Here is the YT edit for Twisters which will premiere shortly!
Not really feeling the audio of going in and out when they talk. Others have headphones on and the tv muted so there's no feed back on the mic

I just can't see the 150M budget on the screen, should have cost half that for what it showed. With the unions it seems like 1000s of people now have to work on every film.

Awesome fun reactions, love to see when Carly joins you. Dear god though I thought this movie was terrible- predictable and filled with tropes. The polymer concept had me laughing. You throw water absorbing polymers into a moving 200+ wind speed tornado and you'll have this material flung all over the state. Imagine having your house hit by a 1500 pound water infused mass of this stuff from a height of likely 1200 feet.

Those seats will need a wipe down after Cassie & Carly have watched a Glen Powell movie

Tornadoes are one of my biggest fears. So, I will pass. I find them fascinating and I watch a lot of documentaries are on them but, I am good watching them on a screen. :-)

I so wanted to see your reaction to the images at the end of the movie. That part got me. And you actually get to see the photo that he asked for a copy of.

If you like the actor who plays Javi (Anthony Ramos) you should check out "In The Heights" (a musical from a couple of years ago) - he plays the main lead, and it has not one but two completely separate romance stories inside it. As for Glen Powell, you might check out "Anyone But You" (a rom-com from either late last year or early this year).

You're correct, it's Linklater and it's a movie.

I love the twist (no pun intended) of how we're following the "evil" team in the beginning. Nice change from the original movie.

I know. But fun and Amazon has ruined their project. I’m hoping this doesn’t.

This is old news, but cautiously looking forward to it. Also, it's not really Peter Jackson, he's just an executive producer.

Cassie Cassie,
Your going to love this so I saw my Urologist today to get my stent out Hallelujah! Hallelujah! She told me that she and her family just got back from England where she saw Taylor Swift. My jaw dropped . She said something about a plot and Taylor Swift had to cancel shows in Vienna.

I think you should give it a chance. Gives the original one a little nod, but does it's own thing while still keeping the spirit of Twister. I also thought I wouldn't like it, but I did.

Totally agree. The three Snyder movies are the best thing DC has put out since the Nolan / Bale trilogy

A bit of trivia if you didn’t know. The son of Bill Paxton appears in the new film. When the two main characters leave the rodeo arena and run into the motel office. Bill’s son is the irate customer complaining to the clerk.

Actually this turned out pretty good. Think Bill Paxton would approve.

I can remember watching The Wizard of Oz as a kid and being terrified by the scene where Dorothy is stamping on the trapdoor while the tornado weaves back and forth in the distance. The sheer power of it was too much for my little brain to handle.

I have no reason to watch this. I liked the original. But feel no need to watch this sequel / rename that uses name recognition. Am I wrong?

Seriously ladies, your high pitch/squeakyness was of the chart with Glen Powell in this one! 😉😂
Great reaction.

The whole synder trilogy bvs ( extended) and jlsnydercut) are simply the best superhero movies made. This coming from an old school comicbook fan. After the way they treated both Cavill and Synder I'm done with DC. No gunnverse for me.

She said she liked Normal People a lot. Hit Man is a Richard Linklater movie isn't it? Or is it a series?

The guy you mentioned in this movie that looks like Henry Cvill is David Corenswet. He is the new Superman replacing (trying to) Henry Cavill. New Superman is due out next year.
My opinion, they should have stuck with the original and cast Henry Cavill. Man of Steel is worth a watch.

He was good in that. Not necessarily a likeable character but his acting was good.

April 15 and 16, 1998, were days to remember for Middle Tennesseeans. In that two day period, 13 tornadoes swept thru the area, including two that went straight thru downtown Nashville, where I worked. The grounds of the Hermitage, home to President Andrew Jackson, suffered incredibly, with more than 1,000 trees uprooted. At the time, I lived five miles away. Fortunately for me, I was sick those two days and laid up in bed. I missed most of the excitement. I knew there was one hell of a ruckus outside and was dimly aware that there was an element of danger, but only found out just how bad it had been after it was all over. It turned out that the building I worked in took a direct hit, with many of the building’s windows badly damaged. Fortunately, no one in the building was hurt. But a dozen people in Middle Tennessee did lose their lives to the storms.

You have to witness a tornado up close and personal to really appreciate it! 😲💨

No worries it’s all good.
I’d highly recommend checking out more of daisy’s work. Normal People might be right up your alley, @cassie!!
