In addition to the 4 winning episodes from the final poll, I will watch the season finale-E25 "All Good Things.."

2024-08-20 03:06:01 +0000 UTCHow on earth could Lessons be considered a proper replacement for Attached? It's nothing but high school prom in space, including the look on Beverly's face. It is a poor, predictable, lack-luster, lazy attempt at forcing two characters to "have a thing". Meanwhile, over in Attached-ville is a will-they-or-won't-they story that we find out has been going on for over 20 years, and if you paid attention to the Series Finale and Picard 3, you realize, regardless of how they conducted their relationship, it had powerful ramification over 50 years into the future. Thus, from a Trek historical view, this is one most important relationships. You don't constantly have to be together, happily joined forever, to be in a deeply important relationship. Especially in space.

The 4th place in the S7 final poll will likely be between Attached and Gambit, leaning Attached. While I like the 2-parter Gambit, will be a travesty if Attached doesn't secure that 4th place.

I know Cassie doesn’t have the back ground on Lwaxana, but it’s a good character, Troi, eccentric driven episode, with deep emotional issues at heart. It’s a shame, I think Cassie would really like it.

2024-08-19 16:19:38 +0000 UTCAttached is a mid episode at best. And nothing in that epsiode follows onto the movies. In fact if she watches s3 of Picard she'll relaise how much of it went off screen. Plus we had lessons a couple of epsiodes ago. I know this will fall on deaf ears. We always have one ringer each season that the masses vote for and i'm resigned to believe that this is the one.

2024-08-19 07:39:55 +0000 UTCFor poll 1, I voted these 5, shown ranked in order of my preference. 1. ATTACHED. Crusher is beautiful in Attached. When as a young adult, I watched TNG as it aired, I never thought of Crusher that way having a striking appearance. Yet, now in my old age, I see it. I think Cassie would like Attached, as others have said. 2. PARALLELS. Excellent episode. I think Cassie would like. 3. GAMBIT. An advantage of Gambit is getting 2 episodes for 1. 4. INHERITANCE. A good Data origin episode that I think Cassie would like. She wouldn't have the context of Brothers, but I am glad she reacted to Data’s Day instead of Brothers. 5. THE PEGASUS. This is my fifth choice for poll 1. Good episode but I prefer the four above. I am surprised by the love in the poll. My guess is that Cassie would like The Pegasus less than the 4 above. I do like the Riker arc in the episode.

Now, with her permission, we have subjected to her to a wide variety movies and TV shows, broadening her horizon by hundreds of light years! Now, "Attached" lets her dip her toe back into the romance, and a chance for us to finally see how all of our work has changed her point of view!

2024-08-19 04:47:32 +0000 UTCVoted earlier, but here are my picks: Gambit (Most likely won't vote for it in the final poll, but it's fun enough that it deserves to be a finalist), Phantasms (A good mind-bending episode), Parallels (If there can only be one Worf episode that makes it I hope it's this one), and The Pegasus (Good Riker episode and it'll be necessary before she watches the finale of Enterprise. *That's a joke, people). It looks like Attached will be in the running, and though it isn't a favorite of mine I know there's one thing about it that people will want Cassie to see. Best of luck, and don't worry, folks. Plus is contains information about him and another member of the crew which will come to notice in the finale. The Pegasus is a great Riker epsiode. We missed second chances so I think we owe him for that.. not voting for attached. Its a mid epsiode we had romance in the last season and I prefer something different. Happy to go with gambit solely because It ain't bad and another two partner means more trek.

Lower Decks doesn’t advance the development of anyone, except set up the main conflict at the beginning of DS9 and we don’t even know if she’s going to watch that. Also, there’s a Wesley episode from last season that she would need to watch to understand the dilemma of the main focus character of the episode. Forget Lower Decks.

Maybe some want it only because it is a two-parter and it means more TNG. I'm not as invested in this season because it was... not as exciting as the previous seasons. I'd much rather her go back and catch some of the great episodes of seasons 3-6 that she missed. If I had to choose a top four (not counting the must see finale) I'd go with Attached (the one Cassie's been waiting for since the beginning), Parallels, Lower Decks, and The Pegasus. I'd say Preemptive Strike but we missed two key episodes leading up to that one - one intro ducing Ro, and the other special Will Riker episode intoducing that... "other character".
