So I'm watching the edited version in the background and I'm thinking... Who else read John Carter From Mars? I think this story style is like those of the old sci-fi adventure books like John Carter. I recall just accepting whatever they depict in the books like Rico's "administrative punishment" being ten lashes. Different societies will have different norms... alien worlds, you just accept it. The weirder it is the cooler it is lol. Hey, the teacher. Wasn't his arm missing just below the elbow? Later he shows up with a metal hand but only up to the wrist. Did I imagine that?
