Upcoming…

Update - Having no internet is really messing me up! Hoping to get Starship Troopers on YT today. The Patreon uploads this week will most likely be Thursday, Friday & Sunday. They are coming tomorrow to fix the internet, so depending on that I may or may not push TNG to next week... I'll keep you updated!

Hold onto your butts we've got a WEEK! It is back to school week here and I feel like I am being pulled in 10 different directions and I need 4 more of me. Did you like the first day of school growing up? I remember writing my name on every single crayon and pencil, laying out my outfit 3 days before. I can still feel the nervous/excited butterflies. When I asked my boys if they knew what outfit they were going to wear for the first day, they said they didn't care and to just pick something for them. Its fine. I'M FINE!

Tonight we had the craziest storm roll through. I'm talking broken windows in our home!! We were driving to soccer and it felt like our windows would break with the crazy hail. It has been the talk of the neighborhood all night. A perfect precursor to watching TWISTERS tomorrow with Carly? (forgot the graphic on the poster, but she will be there, would not miss it). We will also have Close Encounters and the season finale of TNG season 6! The poll for season 7 will go up this week too.

Speaking of Polls, did you see our classic monster movie poll? Go vote on it, the monkey seems to be running away with it!

Thanks for being the best the internet has! The comments on Starship Troopers made my happy cry and I needed that! Love your guts

Cassie

PS: Our internet has been down all day so sorry for the late update!

Just joined your patreon. I've been watching awhile. A shout out to a great movie you should react to is the prize winner of Defiance Ohio. With woody Harrelson and Julianne Moore

The Basic 4our

Not sure if it's been asked yet but which of the 3 versions of Close Encounters Of The Third Kind will you be watching, Cass? I hope it's the Director's Cut.

Zane From Canada

Ouch. Those sound painful. Hope you're doing alright. I'm ridiculously addicted to sugar. I need to stop. But I legit get withdrawal symptoms.

Chris Thom

Welcome!

Chris Thom

Just came across your comment while having a general scroll, Shobhit. I have not seen any Bollywood movies (beyond the RRR reaction), but it's too big to ignore. In my opinion, one of the most stunningly beautiful women who ever lived is Rani Mukherjee, so I would love to see how good an actress she was too. In case Cassie does another foreign movie/Indian poll, maybe you can give me some top-level Rani Mukherjee films I can recommend her.

Clarence Newman

I jus joined the family been watching for a long time keep up the great work...

Eddie

Think you meant to post this under the Starship Troopers post. Done that a few times myself. lol

Chris Thom

Yay Carly! The first twister was maybe the first movie I went and saw with friends (sans grown ups). Good times! Also Close Encounters is one of my absolute favourite movies ever, so excited for that one!!!!

Matthew Gibson

Hang in there Cass been with and without internet all summer with the storms.

JohnnyUtah

Before Cassie starts the Chris Pine movies, I'd like her to watch the original cast Star Trek, "The Menagerie" If she'd prefer not to watch it and react for her channel, than hopefully on her own. Cassie its a combination of the crew you know well, and the first Star Trek pilot with a different Captain - not Kirk - and a much more emotional Mr. Spock. Series was from 1966-1969. The initial pilot titled "The Cage" came out in 1965 I was in second grade at the time. Nimoy and Roddenberry had not yet fleshed out the Spock character. Desilu requested a second pilot which became "Where No One Has Gone Before" I am not sure you've seen that on your own, you'd like it. The Cage had different doctor...not McCoy.

John Liebling

I don't believe she is watching the movie with Carly, but she is watching it in her theater space which pleases me.

Stick Figure Studios

Even though this movie was gratuitously gory, I knew Cassie would enjoy it for what it was underneath. 😂 However, I’m pretty sure pre-channel Cassie wouldn’t have been able to see this movie at all. 🤣😊

Patrick Blondin

Saw bits of a film on TCM the other night and was surprised how closely a lot of the shots lined up with the James Cameron movie. Not sure if it was A Night to Remember or not...but I think it was from the 50's.

Chris Thom

Cassie will you and Carly watch Close Encounters? If yes, you'll both have sing the song. No lyrics. You'll get what I'm saying when you watch it. It's a very interesting movie. Looking forward to, well suggesting and hoping you can find time for another classic musical poll sometime in September or November.

John Liebling

What?? she had The Descent on her list of winner reactions??

Rene G.

LOL! Cassie should play video games like Warhammer and Doom! That would be funny funny FUN-EEE!!! LOL!

Kyle Prince

Well, Cassie, if you liked the "Starship Troopers" film for the reasons you indicated in the YouTube vid, then you'll absolutely LOVE the CGI film "Ultramarines", based in the Warhammer 40K universe.

Robert N Douglass

As it doesn't seem to be on your watched list, Cassie, can I recommend "A Night To Remember": it's a good film, and makes an interesting comparison with "Titanic".

Chris Clarke

🎶"Popcorn: we miss you; Popcorn: we do; Though you may be far away, We think of you..." 🍿😊😊😊🍿

Chris Clarke

I'm probably too late in posting this now but... In relation to Cassie's reaction to Chariots of Fire (1981), I just found this ITV documentary that actor Nigel Havers did, The Real Chariots of Fire, on both the making of the film and the backstories of both Eric Liddell and Harold Abrahams. This documentary was made in 2012 in the run up to The London 2012 Olympic Games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvPEpIRd284

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

The kids in my town started today (Thursday) here in Sweden.

Björn Karlsson

Cassie, Do you ever get sick of being sick all the time? It's just seems to never end surgery after surgery Nerve Block, Kidney Stones, Hernia, I constantly suck on sugar free jolly ranchers. Because I constantly have dry mouth. It never ends. I am just tired of it. I am losing weight and they have no idea why. That's where you come in the one thing I have to look forward to besides getting my stent out. Is your movies and Star Trek.

Zachary K. (Swiftie)

I'm ready for DESCENT!!! I got nothin' to do today and would love that to drop....right....NOW! Woo hoo! Any time now! ENGAGE! LOL.

PianoDean

Back to school already? Dang. And getting excited over school might be a girl thing. I detested nearly all my time spent there.

My_Cousin_Mose

My guess, assuming Season 7 takes up the month of September, that she won’t get to the TNG movies until November (because of scary not too scary October), and maybe 2 of the 4 each month, so Star Trek 2009 maybe in January?!

Cole Jennett

When will you get to the main event, namely, the newest Star Trek movies with Chris Pine as Captain Kirk?

N M

Pretty sure it's gen-u-ine Cassie-ism. Seen her say it four or five times now.

Chris Thom

I have to ask. You signed off your message with "Love your guts". Is that a Canadian-ism or were you just typing really fast?

Clarence Newman

Unfinished Life sounds interesting. How old is it? What's the premise?

Chris Thom

How is it back to school already? For us it's not until Sept 6th!

Stich

Literally No One Asked; but two great “guy” movies that I think Cassie would LOVE are; "An Unfinished Life” with Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman; and “The Thirteenth Warrior” a John Mctiernan film that is based on a Michael Crichton book.

Uncle Phoenix

Check out SOLIS wifi. I used to travel lots and could always use their service for fast wifi. well worth it, especially when you are connecting for business.

David

I think it costs about $20 to watch theater movies at home. Only some movies are available for that.

Chris Thom

First day of school was definitely a different vibe every year. Sometimes it felt like it was time to go back, other times felt way too soon. First day of Jr. High was the one with piranhas in the stomach. To this day try to keep that memory a blur as much as possible. Trying not to think on it too much as we speak. Getting new clothes and materials was the highlight. Still miss people I lost touch with after high school/college. Overall enjoyed school a lot though. Loved the structure/academics/social/discovery aspects of it all. My elementary school, Jr. High, High school and State University were all within five blocks from each other. lol

Chris Thom

Twisters is out digitally? I thought it just released in Theaters?

SquaredSpekz

If she were to roll into another Spielberg, I think AI would be a good choice. Just because of the major nod to Kubrick in Ready Player One. The Post would be a good one to watch closer to the election.

Chris Thom

Just to keep current on your status regarding Spielberg's entire directorial filmography, after this week these will be all the movies of his that you've watched for the channel: Jaws Close Encounters of the Third Kind Raiders of the Lost Ark E.T Indiana Jones & Temple of Doom Indiana Jones & Last Crusade Hook Jurassic Park Schindler's List Lost World Saving Private Ryan Minority Report Munich War of the Worlds Indiana Jones & Kingdom of Crystal Skull War Horse Lincoln Ready Player One Thes are the movies you watched on your own: Catch Me If You Can The Terminal West Side Story These are the movies you've yet to see: Duel Sugarland Express 1941 Color Purple Empire of the Sun Always Amistad A.I. Bridge of Spies The Adventures of TinTin The BFG The Post The Fabelmans

Stick Figure Studios

Close encounters has Possiley, one of the best music in a movie

MatthewBrown74m

"...chase it!"

Alex Tan

"it felt like our windows would break" Yeah, I get this foreboding the second Tuesday of each month. Ba-dum-tss.

Happy Hanukkah

I am so sorry that was most of your school experience. Bullying and leaving people out makes me so sad. I dont care if my kids are the best at anything, except being the kids that look out for others

Cassie

yes! still planning on that one, and thank you!!

Cassie

Close Encounters is such a great movie - I'm sure Cassie will like it. I saw it in the theater when I was a little kid, and have since watched it every few years since.

Johnny

Twisters sucked

ShazD

Sorry, my friend, but then we have the TNG movies and the Kelvin (aka Chris Pine) trilogy.

Stick Figure Studios

Is Star Trek finally over after season 7?

Daniel Karlsson

I have an entire youtube Playlist of "Favorite Cassie Reactions" that has over 200 videos on it. For when I just want an edited reaction instead of a full one

Katie Jackson

Looks like another great week! I'm sorry about your windows but, thank God everyone is alright. Close Encounters is a true cinematic masterpiece that I'm really looking forward to watching with you. I remember sitting in my mom's lap, watching this at about 6 years old. Steven Spielberg actually used some of his own childhood experiences with his family in the movie. There were some very difficult shoots for him. Star Trek is always good but this is probably my least favorite of the 2 part finales (still looking forward to it though). I think you and Carly will like Twisters. Me and my boyfriend(Travis) took my sister and our mom's to go see it over the weekend. It was good but doesn't really feel connected to the original all that much. It's doing very well though so maybe we'll get another sequel and that one might feel a little more connected to the original story. Hope you have a good week. Don't collapse from everything you're trying to do. Oh, P.S. You were wondering when everyone found you. I found you when you did your Jurassic Park reaction. I sat and watched your Jaws reaction after that. My very next paycheck I joined your Patreon, something I had never done before. I've been here ever since, and I've never regretted taking that chance on you. The last 3 years haven't been the easiest but you've made them much better than they ever would have been, so Thank You So Much!(Here since September 2021)

Katie Jackson

That is an awesome way to experience that movie. The only other thing that could have possibly made it more perfect would have been if you guys had seen it at Devil's Tower itself. That is on my bucket list BTW: to visit that monument and hopefully watch the movie there because they periodically project it onto a big screen at the foot of the mountain.

Stick Figure Studios

Although I've been a member for 3 years (since Shawshank) this is probably my first post as it just felt like the right time. I'm beyond excited for the Close Encounters reaction. I first saw the movie in the summer of 1978 at our local Drive-In, as my parents could not afford to take all seven of us to the theater and the Drive-In charged by the carload. And what a magical experience that was laying on the grass under a blanket of stars watching Close Encounters on the huge screen, with our eyes darting from the movie to the skies above with every airplane becoming a UFO as it flew overhead and one time just as the UFOs were flying through the night sky on the screen, a jet with landing lights ablaze seemed to emerge from the top of the screen as it made its way to the airport, creating a near panic amongst us. Oh, the memories of youthful excitement you have rekindled in me and thanks a million Cassie for helping an old man, for a few hours, feel young once again!

Collar City Guy

i know it’s still 💰, i think a lot of people might wait for the YT edit of that one!

Cassie

“Twisters” is streaming for $19.99. Seems a bit steep for a movie that appears to be about people being chased by computer drawn cartoons of tornadoes. I think I’ll skip it.

Just Plain Bob

I usually watch it every couple years or so, but for a while now I've been holding off rewatching it because I was waiting for Cassie to finally react to it.

Stick Figure Studios

I am Definitely adding Cassie’s reaction to Starship Troopers to my snowy day winter mix, along with Cassie’s reactions to Predator; Hunt For Red October; and Crimson Tide. “ROLL TIDE!”

Uncle Phoenix

That’s a GREAT lineup, Cassie! ❤️

Carol Rocha

I’ve always loved it as well!! Thought they would never get around to it!

Carol Rocha

Ohmygosh!!! I thought you’d NEVER get to CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND! ❤️🙌 I cannot wait to see this classic again!

Carol Rocha

Close Encounters was one of the most memorable movies I've seen. Even seeing it as a child, it gripped me to this day. I pray if anything like that ever happened, it would go so well. Cassie will definitely enjoy it as it has a lot of family components. And it's very realistic and relatable

Kuskesh Haramzadeh

Mashed potatoes goes with CLOSE ENCOUNTERS just like Reese's pieces goes with E.T.

Stick Figure Studios

I'd like to see a Classic Horror po..........Sorry, force of habit.

Richard Maurer

I have recommended the director's cut (aka the ultimate edition, AKA The Final Cut). It is the definitive version of the film.

Stick Figure Studios

One of Williams' best scores. I'm hoping she watches it in her theater space.

Stick Figure Studios

I like "They belong here more than we." Francois Truffaut didn't speak English terribly well and was self-conscious about his accent, so after he said that line, the crew had a little fun with his pronunciation by having t-shirts made up that read "Zey belong here Mozambique."

Stick Figure Studios

Cassie might be the first person ever to react to that movie's most famous scene as if it was a jumpscare.

Clarence Newman

Cassie, You know the guy that directed Starship Troopers also did Showgirls right? Starship Troopers had a really bad reputation back in 1997. Extremely bad word of mouth. Even though we believe that movie is associated with some of the worst things of the 20th century. My gf and I still 🙏 for you everyday. You would like It Ends With Us. I love you Romantic movies. Anyway much ❤️ to you, Carly Ben and Family. Gf and I have been discussing eloping to Vegas.....

Zachary K. (Swiftie)

It wouldn't surprise me.

Stick Figure Studios

Stick Figure Studios and I feel Cassie should make it a theme week by watching the OG from 1933, the DeLaurentis remake from 1976, the Peter Jackson gem from 2005, and the current Skull Island. And that would introduce her to The Monsterverse.

Dan M

I'm going to see Twisters tonight, Cassie, I'd love you to watch “Basic Instinct” my favorite Paul Verhoeven!

Grégory Gautier

Think Twisters is still in the cinemas in the uk, will have to wait til it comes on VOD.

Gray

My favorite line from 'Close Encounters'..."Who are you People?"

Celeste McAllister

I'm curious if Cassie picks up on the thing that Spielberg regrets in Close Encounters.

Scott Macaulay

When you watch "Close Encounters", make sure you're listening with "good" sound. John Williams (the movie's score composer) said that this is probably his favorite score because it allowed him the most freedom. The music is a huge component of the film, moreso than most films, so if at all possible find a way to watch this one with a sound system that can make the room vibrate, rather than just listening through headphones.

Samuel Vivian

"If you feel it!"

Alex Tan

Cassie, King Kong has been re booted a few times over the years, a Young Jeff Bridges starred in one in the 70's, and Jack Black and a great cast around him took the reigns in 2005 with Peter Jackson directing! (He directed LOTR!) (2005 is my fave reboot / remake 😉) Then, they also made an entirely NEW version of Kong to fight with your Thicc Ugly Lizard Sea Monster, Godzilla, in a film with Samuel L Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman, and John C. Reilly! (called Skull Island 2017) Anyway, the olde '33 started it all, inspired everyone and everything, and led us here today! Kong lovers will hope you watch at least one other!!

Jon Johns

Hi Cassie, Broken windows! That does sound like a nasty storm. Glad you are all ok. I know it can be a tough time for parents, during back to school time. Take a deep breath! You will make it! More trek and a great selection of movies. Thank you 🤗 I think you did mention at some point you would watch “there will be blood” can’t wait for that one. 😊

Mark White

There are three versions of Close Encounter : theatrical, extended and final cut. AFAIK the final cut is Spielbergs preferred one. Which one will it be?

The Sheeple

I remember dreading the first day of school but in the context of summer being over. I really didn't mind school that much, but the loss of summer freedom always hurt! Another great line up. I really am living vicariously through Stick this week, he's getting one of his this time! I know the feeling, and it's goooood! Also so happy for Richard getting his poll this week. Makes me think I should brush up on my PiB wish list, even though I got my top 3 wishes long ago. Hmmm..... Off the top of my head, which is cluttered with classic movies, I am hoping for soon the Live Dice game winner THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE (1972). I'm hoping for that real soon. But as for the rest of my wish list, hmmm.....

MikeLL

Winter?! I’m down in Texas & unfortunately we have a couple of months of 90+ degrees left.

Jerrod Acree

I thought the exact same thing. 😂

Ib-René Jørgensen

"and I need 4 more of me. " - Do I hear a need for a Multiplicity (1996) reaction?

Mike Lemon

Back to school always made me really depressed.

Ben Livingstone

[in my best Bones McCoy] Oh… joy. 🙂

Ike

Normal People is probably my favourite one season show next to Firefly

Cole Jennett

Haven't been in school for literal decades at this point but I actual find myself getting anxious as stores seem to bring school supplies in earlier and earlier. It feels like summer barely got started and it already over. Already seeing fall and winter stuff at stores already. Looking forward to watching close encounters, haven't seen it in years

Canadianant

Weekly reminder to watch There will be blood!

Daniel Karlsson

Excited about you and Carly watching Twisters. My wife and I just saw this, and loved it. Sorry about your loss of windows.

Tom Furze

School begins here in September, but after August 20th, which is like our version of July 4th, I always felt a sense of gloom and dread approaching. I was bullied a lot during elementary school and didn't really have any friends, so I always dreaded the realization that school was about to start again. I think this had a significant impact on becoming such an introverted person and made it difficult for me to open up, trust someone or make friends. Even in high school, when I eventually managed to make some friends, it was only during the last two years that I really started to enjoy and look back fondly. But even nowadays I tend to feel that slight sense of gloom around the end of August, even though it doesn't matter anymore. Looking forward to Close Encounters this week. PS: Cassie, have you seen Tom Cruise taking over the Olympic flag? Are you planning to go to the 2028 games in LA? PS2: "I am being pulled in 10 different directions and I need 4 more of me". This reminded so much to a movie and now it popped into my head: MULTIPLICITY (1996) with Michael Keaton and Andie MacDowell. Haven't seen this one in ages, probably since my teens.

Gábor Árki

Close Encounters. I feel like some mashed potatoes.

Tom Furze

I knew there was a distinction in English between ape and monkey, but never checked what it was. In my language we use the same word for the two.

Gábor Árki

Cassie, I am ready to watch your reaction to Close Encounters. Remember to wear your "Directed By Steven Spielberg" shirt or your "Music By John Williams" shirt. :) I hated school, so I never enjoyed the first day or any other day. I am loving the Classic Monster poll, please check out what I had to say. All set for more fun reactions!

Mark Vaderr

"The comments on Starship Troopers made my happy cry" Yes, Starship Troopers made me too up and cry. :-P "the monkey seems to be running away with it!" Nope, I won't take the bait. :-)

Happy Hanukkah

It's a masterpiece.

Stick Figure Studios

I've been looking forward to this one for a long time.

Stick Figure Studios

I believe you mean "The APE is running away with the poll. Monkeys have tails." — This is a comment you will also likely hear a LOT if you ever watch any of the new Planet of the Apes movies. Most of the reactors to that trilogy have a habit of calling the chimpanzees (and gorillas and orangutans) in those movies "monkeys". Natalie Gold actualy used an hilarious animated counter for every time she called one of the apes a monkey. The tally got quite high. Looking forward to your reaction to Close Encounters. Early Spielberg, and different to most of what you are used to from him.

D. T. Nelson

Cassie, We went and saw the new Blake Lively ROMDRAM movie It Ends With Us. We really liked It. Twisters we already saw weeks ago it was decent. The 90's one was so much better. Yeah gf says that kids get sick first day of school so her floor is usually full. I loved going back to college. Football games. Gf said she didn't like all the pledges her sorority got. During pledge week which was always right around the corner after school started. Now it's IV's and kids puking on her every other day. 8 more days till that stent gets taken out. Then hernia surgery next month. We officially live together now. I am not talk about Starship Troopers at all. She told me to leave it be. Focus on getting a World War II Poll which the 85th anniversary of the start is September 1st.

Zachary K. (Swiftie)

At last. This is a day I have been waiting a long time for. You are finally watching the cinematic masterpiece that is CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND. Made in 1977 as his follow-up to JAWS, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS is one of the rare movies that Steven Spielberg wrote as well as directed. It is one of my all-time favorite films (indeed It was one of the five titles I was going to pick for you if I ever won a trivia night... which now opens that spot up for something else), it is one of the great American films of the 1970s (which, of course, puts it among the greatest films ever made) and -- without giving anything away as to what it's about -- it is one of the most spiritual movies I've ever seen. A few preparatory remarks though. There are three versions of the film. The one I recommend you watch is the directors cut (also called the "ultimate edition") released in 1997. It is Spielberg's preferred cut -- his full and uncompromised vision of the story realized in all its glory -- and it has more or less become the *definitive* version of the film. It is 137 minutes long. Aside from that, the one to watch would be the original 1977 theatrical cut. It may be imperfect (Spielberg considered it essentially unfinished), but it is the next best cut of the film after the director's cut. It is 135 minutes long. Please, do NOT watch the 132-minute long "special edition" that was released in 1980. It is easily the weakest of the three. It does include some scenes not found in the original theatrical cut that you should see, but they are also present in the director's cut. It is also missing important scenes from the theatrical cut (that were restored in the director's cut), but there is one scene near the end that to this day Spielberg regrets ever including (one that was essentially forced on him by the studio). It is only present in the "special edition" and it shows something that should never have been shown. Whichever version you choose to react to, avoid the "special edition." Also -- and I know I have mentioned this before, so please forgive me for repeating myself -- you really should watch it in your basement theater space. There are some films that just need to be seen on the big screen and this is one of them. If you do so, I promise you will not regret it. Finally -- and this is not a spoiler; this is just some advice to help enhance your viewing experience -- do not be fooled by the silence on the film's soundtrack during the opening credits. Many people mistakenly think that there should be music playing underneath the main titles and so they turn the volume way up. If you do that, you will cause yourself pain because it will get very loud very quickly. That's it. I have nothing else to add other than that I hope you enjoy the movie and I'm looking forward to seeing your reaction. :-)

Stick Figure Studios

Can we have some more reactions to Indian movies, like RRR? It was awesome!

Shobhit

I liked going to school, but I think I missed out on a lot because I was so introverted through high school. It wasn’t until I started college that I finally broke through that shell and became more involved in campus and social events. Heck, by my Junior year, I was the president of our dorm association and started DJIng.

Dan M

Crumbs! Glad you're all okay (at least physically, lol).

Chris Clarke

When I pictured you watching Starship Troopers, I pictured it being like Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. This is funny but at the same time "this is hurting my feelings." Glad you liked it.

Jakob Rygh

My mom tried that with me and my brother once, and we both threatened to run away 😂. That was the end of that. She did make a lot of our clothes. She loved to sew on her Singer sewing machine!

Dan M

Close Encounters will be a great watch

Godzilla Jones

I loved the first day of school probably up until 8th grade. At that point, things started getting serious as I was prepping to enter high school. But in grade school, the highlight of getting ready for the first day was taking out my brand new lunch box (got a new one every year through 5th grade), writing my name on it and the thermos. The lunch box was usually themed with the hot tv shows or toys of the time. The Bionic Man, Looney Tunes, Superman, Hot Wheels, etc…Mom was in charge of what went inside. I also loved picking out book covers for my text books. Sorry about the freaky weather you’re getting out there in Utah. Thankfully the damage was limited to only windows. Its been a pretty nice August for us here on Long Island. Almost September like. Kind of makes me sad knowing that summer is almost over. You’re thanking US for being the best on the internet? Cassie, we are here because YOU are the best on the internet. And you’re weekly updates are just one of many reasons why that statement is true. Can’t thank you enough for creating this community. 🙏

Dan M

Daisy Edgar-Jones (in Twisters) was awesome in "Normal People" (2020) (1 season) and in "War of the Worlds" (2019) (3 seasons). Never get tired of TNG. Ready Player One will be a first watch for me. I liked your reaction to Starship Troopers, which is a 7/10 movie for me ("A fun movie...if you can accept the excessive gore and wooden acting.") Pretty people and skin, in addition to (or as part of) the satire. "They're very coed."

Clay F

Different states have different rules on how schools start. My state (Michigan) starts after Labor Day, but other states don’t follow this. Utah is one of them…

Anthony Carlson

I would pack and repack all my new school supplies for days ahead of the first day of school. I loved it! My Mom did make my older brother and I match our clothes on the first day of school. Not exactly sure when that all ended but I’m sure it lasted until he hit high school.😊

Cole Jennett

When do they start school these days?? I always remembered starting right after Labor Day

Dan W

I always hated the first day of school. And the second. And third. And all the rest. I didn’t enjoy school until college, particularly graduate school, which I loved.

Just Plain Bob

First day of school was always enjoyable for me. I was excited to go see my friends, excited to start something new and get out of the house.... And then within a month's time I was bored and wanted the year to be over. And then going back after Christmas break? forget about it! January to May was absolutely the worst

Nathan Jasper, the Artist Formerly Known as Primary

Starship Trek Ready 😉 ohh and FIRST!
