Just as good as the movie is the soundtrack!!! They had some bangers in there!!!👍👍

To Die For with Nicole Kidman would be good for this!

F-word doesn't mean "finance." :-P :-P :-P

Happy Hanukkah

Since Cassie seemed almost totally unaware of the whole Tanya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan incident, that was one of a couple stories in the mid 90s that really kicked off the "tabloid-ification" of mainstream news, in which stories that previously would have mainly been fodder for stuff like the National Enquirer, instead was widely covered by mainstream outlets. A couple other stories that also had this effect were the Amy Fisher shooting of Mary Jo Buttafuoco, the caning of American Michael Fay in Singapore because he stole road signs and spray painted graffiti there, the infamous Lorena Bobbitt/John Wayne Bobbitt incident, and really culminating with the OJ Simpson murder trial. This time period really represented a turning point in American mainstream media, which most people would probably say was for the worst. Also, this movie owes a huge debt of gratitude to the films of Martin Scorsese, especially Goodfellas, Casino, The Departed and The Wolf of Wall Street, as this movie is completely aping the style of those films. This movie is pretty well done, but this is very much just trying to imitate the style of those films.

RICHARD JEWELL confirmed in a single case everything my several friends at multiple state police forces have told me over the years.

I think Wolf of Wallstreet now holds the record for most.

I'm so glad you reacted to this film, and appreciated it -- even though it isn't exactly a pleasant watch. I don't have a strong opinion about who the villains and victims are in this matter. But one of the takeaways I think is that the world of competitive figure skating is: A. Beautiful to watch and clearly blissful in some ways for those who do it. B. Also bad for the competitors as human beings, and kind of evil as an institution. I think it's similar to NFL Football. It's probably bad for the participants and a rather greedy, corrupt big business, but undoubtedly fun and even uplifting for spectators.

Andrew Pulrang

We loved it too, like you said so much fun.

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

We saw DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE, too, and very, very naughty and fun. BUT Cassie THERE ARE SPOILERS THROUGHOUT THE MOVIE FOR LOGAN - BE FOREWARNED.

Seconded. So glad you were strong enough to break away from this, Cassie, and you've obviously gone on to build a loving family. God bless.

Just finished watching the YT edit. I know this isn't a feeling Cassie would want to inspire, but hearing that she was once in an abusive relationship makes me want to fight somebody. It also makes me all the more grateful that she ended up with a guy like Ben.

Margot Robbie is going to be remembered as one of the greats. She can play everything from hot Barbie to difficult and complicated characters like Tonya Harding and nail them all. I'm not going to suggest this for Cassie to watch (it's kinda weird and gross), but "Babylon" has a really good cast in it (Brad Pitt included) and Margot steals the show.

I don't think swearing is the worst thing that happens to ears in Reservoir Dogs!

In real life, World Skating did not allow skaters to use music with vocals during performances, only instrumentals, before 2018. Ivette Toth from Hungary was the first to perform to music with vocals, a medley of AC/DC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYzYr6zpPG4

"Somebody told me there are more than 150 F-words in this movie." A timely reminder of why we should probably keep Cassie away from Scarface.

I’ve always enjoyed Cassie’s reactions but, after this one, I hope she never reacts to “Monster” with Charlize Theron. She’d probably come away thinking that Aileen Wuornos was the victim. Gotta remember, when watching these kind of biopics, that they are usually made with a certain point of view. In this case, the story is very much told from Tonya’s point of view. The film leaves out the fact that her version of events has changed repeatedly over the last thirty years, ignores her own history of assaulting others (including domestic abuse against another boyfriend and attacking a female motorist with a baseball bat), minimizes the strength of the evidence against her (for example, the woman from whom she got the information regarding Kerrigan’s training location and times confirmed it was Tonya that she spoke with, while Tonya claimed the note was a forgery) and generally ignored all the evidence pointing to her involvement in the scheme to cripple Kerrigan. Tonya suffered at the hands of those that should have protected her, but that can’t excuse her own criminal behavior. How would anyone respond, for instance, if Tonya’s mother or Gillooly were abused as children? Would that excuse their treatment of Tonya? Of course not. She was a victim right up until she began hurting others. And she definitely has a history of hurting others.

Just Plain Bob

The DA certainly thought so and actually convened a grand jury. She was indicted as a co-conspirator. Fortunately for her, she had reached a plea agreement in exchange for her testimony against Gillooly and Eckardt that gave her immunity to all crimes in connection with the attack. The film was well done, but it does appear to be largely a work of fiction. Tonya was a sympathetic figure. Everyone agrees that her mother abused her and it seems very likely that Gillooly did as well. But the film ignores her constantly evolving story, which changed each time new facts were uncovered, seemingly to comport with those new facts. It also ignores her own arrests for assault against a boyfriend and an attack with a baseball bat on a female motorists, as well as a history of DUIs and probation violations. Her loved ones treated her horribly, but she was hardly the victim depicted in the film. Nancy Kerrigan was the true victim (though I admit finding her unlikeable).

Just Plain Bob

Wow, this film is tough to watch. What does it feel like to have an abusive mother? It's like living your childhood in the shade. I won't go into detail, but you develop this inner voice that says awful things to you. And you have to write them down and argue inside your mind against them. Or these negative seeds will drag you down. A parent like that will leave you with internal thoughts that are the equivalent of a cruel comedian mocking you as you battle through life. The comedian is skilled, and has a sharp tongue, so you have to battle it every day. And other people can't see your wounds, so they look sideways at you. Then you adapt and "play happy" so that society won't reject you. Parents are vital to a happy, safe society. Another funny thing is that mentally healthy people naturally push wounded people away, and they wind up in a cycle of broken people, breaking each other more. You can get out of the shade, but you have to fight every day. A negative self image is like a cocaine habit, you don't just abandon it, the temptation is there to slide back into disliking everything about yourself.

I still think Tonya knew the whole plan. 🤣

I remember it hard to believe it was that long ago. The movie very Jerry Springer. I do remember she was hated and Nancy Karagen stared in a Disney Parade. Tonya did live a Tragic Life.

Tim C

If you had ended up watching RICHARD JEWELL after all, you would've seen the same actor playing Sean in the lead role.

Stick Figure Studios

If you want to like Allison Janney again I recommend Drop Dead Gorgeous. She still plays a redneck, but a nice funny one.

Yeah I do when I can find the movie on streaming. But the timers always go opposite ways. Like the movie timer counts down to zero, and the reaction goes up. Really frustrated. But yeah the full ones are fun when I can sync them right.

Chris Thom

Chris, you have to try and sync up the movies with the full reactions. They are so much more satisfying, and it truly feels like your watching along with her. I know it can be a pain to sync up and keep the movies synced, especially if its a streaming service, which can freeze and skip at times, and then you have to sync up again by pausing Cassie’s reaction. But once you do, its so much better than watching the YouTube edit. Which I usually watch anyway, after I’ve watched the full reaction. Gotta support our leading lady!

Dan M

We loved your reaction to this. Eva was crying right along with you Cassie I looked at her she said it's a girl thing. She has been using that an awful lot lately when it comes to Cassie Oh we saw Deadpool & Wolverine https://photos.app.goo.gl/yvkxKtsLroufJK4f8 The last time I gave a nine was to Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Very rarely

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

These YT edits are such a relief. I'm too dumb to link up the full with the movie properly. And it stresses me out. Anyways...LOVE the shirts and love this particular reaction! Even the front hair twists feel on theme. Well done.
