We watched this X-Men. All of us loved your reaction last week. I know I posted something. You know your up in the Canadian Rockies fly fishing you go with out Wi-Fi for around 30 hours. You get it back on only find that your gf has ordered like $700 worth of stuff from Cozy Earth, why? She saw Cassie advertise it. You realize that you don't have your keys . That they were in your dirty clothes that your gf took home with her. You turn on Amazon music playlist. "What I am listening to" Only to find your gf has put Christina Aguilera and Taylor Swift on there. I really don't mind Barry White, but Christina and Taylor? C'mon now. I don't listen to that. She must have added like 30 songs. I am not ready to go home yet. This is my last night in Canada. I have to be home by 18:00 tomorrow for some function at my cousin's restaurant.

8:54 Something I haven't seen mentioned: at the end (underwater), when it most counted and under truly horrific circumstances, Logan was indeed able to keep it together. 45:49 Carly, I must take exception to your choice of words. :-P

Ok

Uncle Phoenix

I think she mentioned fairly recently having seen that. Maybe during Austin Powers or in those comments🧐

I have a Scary(but not too scary) Recommendation; it’s “So I married an axe murderer.” It’s a funny light-hearted Rom-Com with ton’s of heart.

Uncle Phoenix

Exactly

This is a blind reaction channel. I wish people would stop giving hints about the future or what they will or will not like. Let them watch the movies and decide for themselves! That's what we're here for, after all. 😡😡😡

I mean, they'll no doubt love X-Men: Apocalypse as it's a film with some damn good scenes; the cast carries the movie for me. People overreact when it comes to the following two films, even though, from my experience, reactors seem to enjoy these movies thanks to having no comic bias toward certain storylines, characters, etc. But let's let them both judge the film for themselves.

LittleGalaxyBoy

I feel like Marvel could easily make more Animated projects, I'd watch a Howling Commandos series with Captain America during WW2. Even if it's not the voice of Chris Evan's they could bring in someone like Josh Keaton who does a great Captain America. X-Men 97 quality of animation, storytelling, and writing and Marvel would be set. Or go the direction the Crown took with each Season exploring a differant time period in the life's of these characters. Each Season re-casting it's characters with older actors.

44:00 Groan! :-) 51:50 Just a promo for the next movie. No need to worry about it. They changed the past, so they all lived (past tense) happily ever after. :-P

I usually don’t comment, but the “I’m so excited for the next movies” line from Cassie broke my heart. Others have alluded to this, but watch Logan and then stop. First Class and Days of Future Past were written by the writing team behind Stardust. The next two were written by the guy who wrote XMen 3: The Last Stand. They’re painfully bad per reviews. Days of Future Past had the perfect ending and I chose to stop there (other than Logan).

I don't know if Cassie ever reads these comments, but this is basically the end of this timeline for the original cast. Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart come back for Logan, but up until now, you never really see any of those other actors again. From here on out, other than Logan, they just focus on the First Class group, and these next couple X-Men movies are really bad. Logan is really the only good movie in this series left, but then there's the Deadpool movies and whatever the MCU is going to do in the future.

Stranger2Reality

You can see why people say the X-Men timeline is such a mess. Superhero movies, if they are to continue need to follow the example of James Bond. When an actor or actress gets tired of doing a role you recast. The character continues and nothing is ever said. If you read the comics you quickly realize that every time a writer comes on for a long run you really get a new character. I would have loved to see several more Captain America movies with Chris Evans, but he wanted to move on. The new Deadpool and Wolverine movie is probably going to bring back many of the old X-Men characters before they clear the board for the MCU version of the characters.

To sum up, Logan's actions reshaped the history of everything we've seen so far. Some things will remain the same, while others will change to reflect the new history, character origins, how certain characters met, their fates, etc. Through the eyes of James McAvoy's Professor X, those 50 years from 1973 to the Dark Future of 2023 were a possible future. One that is now prevented, allowing the young generation of these characters to make their own history and hopefully make it a good one. First Class (2011), set in 1962, begins the original and revised timelines. Then, they both branch out into their separate histories once we hit `1973 whenever Logan's goes back to 1973, altering history as he informs Charles/Beast about the future, releases Magneto from capture with the help of Peter, and prevents Raven from killing Trask. We then get events like Mutants being revealed to the world in 1973 thanks to the actions of Magneto, along with Trask being granted the ability to create the early Sentinels, showing them off at the White House. Magneto attacks the Whitehouse, giving his iconic Mutant speech to The World. We also have more personal changes, such as Logan, when he meets characters like Beast, Raven, and Quicksilver earlier in his life than what was shown in the original timeline. Logan met Beast in X-Men: The Last Stand in the original timeline; Quicksilver seems like a character Logan would've met during his time as an X-Men, while Raven met Logan in the first X-Men film. So, these characters would already know Logan before he joins the X-Men, although Logan would have no memory of these events. Charles reading Logan's mind also allows him to view the events of all the films up until now. Charles could stop these events from happening, such as the death of Jean Grey and Scott Summers, explaining why they are both alive and well. Charles having large amounts of knowledge into this possible future can allow him to correct the mistakes of his older self.

LittleGalaxyBoy

James McAvoy Professor saw into Logans past, which includes P.S. Professor X's past 'mistake' with Dark Phoenix so possibly the new timeline he fixes those things since he knows what he did last time.

So basics of how the time travel worked. The future would not be set until kitty/rogue stopped using her powers on Wolverine. Once that happened then the future changed. Which is why it was so important mystique made her decision before the sentinels in the future got to rogue or Logan lost to much control by drowning that his mind got snapped back to the future. Yes this movie was mainly a way to reboot X-men to undo the original movies especially X-men 3 which everyone hated. Unfortunately the movies they made after this for the most part weren’t great. Also Peter the fast guy was playing quicksilver the same character that you met in avengers two and was killed by ultron and was Wanda’s brother. Because of weird legal things they both had rights to the character and both made different versions of him. The X-men version was better. And they used the same actor when Wanda “recast” her brother peitro in Wandavision which really threw us for a loop but unfortunately was just like a gag thing.

It helps to think of it as a alternative time lines instead of Linier think of blocks of time with infamous possibilities. Watched alot of Star Trek.🤔🙂

Tim C

Love this C&C series franchise watch party's,one step closer to 'Logan'💜😎

Celeste McAllister

I’ve never heard of Living In oblivion. Good film?

Thomas Thompson

I believe you're thinking of THE STATION AGENT, which is a great film and Cassie should watch it, but Peter Dinklage's very first movie was a hilarious indie comedy called LIVING IN OBLIVION. I remember seeing that in college and loving him in it. Every time I saw him anything after that (whether it was ELF or DEATH AT A FUNERAL) I was like, "Hey, it's the guy from LIVING IN OBLIVION!"

Stick Figure Studios

Sorry, that’s the station agent

Thomas Thompson

The stationmaster the guy from the Game of Thrones his breakout role was in a film called the stationmaster. It’s an excellent, excellent film. You’d love it both of you.

Thomas Thompson

Thanks ladies. Good times.

Ephram

Ooh! Been waiting for this one!!

Orcagirl78

Can't wait to watch this. Definitely in contention for the best X-Men movie. I'd say it's between this, Logan and X2.

Stranger2Reality

Top 2 for me. If only they took a que from the ending and proceeded accordingly.

Above Average Dave

Ahhh... Maybe the best one...
