HAPPY CANADA DAY!! Hope all my Canadian friends had a great day, saw some fun fireworks, a small town marching band perhaps, ate some poutine for me and celebrated a beautiful country. I get homesick and wish I could have been back today! soon though.

I am sorry I had to reschedule our Butter Live as we’ve been dealing with a family thing:/ It will be tomorrow at 7:30, just a hangout and chit chat time.
This week we have X-MEN DOFP, Miracle (to get into the olympic spirit) and our Paris Poll winner (go vote) I will also be posting our ST TNG S6 episode polls. Our march madness winner pick will be this month along with Olympic Gold, Silver, bronze theme week!
We are heading to Canada this week to visit my family for a few weeks. It’s been a year since I’ve been home and I can’t wait. We are going to be taking off the week of the 7th-13th and to also give our editor a much deserved break! Thank you all for understanding and remember there are hundreds of watch alongs and YT edits to watch on here ;) After the 13th, I’ll be back and able to watch movies while i’m up there still!
I hope you have a safe week, please be careful with fireworks!
hold onto your butts,
Cassie

Make sure you save deadpool 2 for after Logan and not before. If you watching in release order, it should be ok

I'm guessing Dolemite Is My Name wouldn't go over well as a recommendation, right? Despite the rather, ahem, "raunchy" material, this is basically a comedy film about Rudy Ray Moore, the so-called "Godfather of Rap" and "King of the Party Records". Anyone who's ever heard "Shine and the Great Titanic" and "Signifying Monkey" knows EXACTLY what I mean.
Of course, if you don't approve of that one, there are a number of other films in what is known as the "blaxploitation" genre. And if you still have an itch for more sci-fi horror and jumpscares, may I recommend "Event Horizon"? One word of warning, though...if you decide on Event Horizon, you will not be okay afterwards. 😉

I found a lot of other “watch for the first time” reactors to be SUPER obnoxious. A lot of yelling, fake laughter, non stop idiotic comments and contorted faces that are clearly trying to mimic surprise, shock, anger or whatever. It just seems so super fake and disingenuous. Or it’s the opposite where there is zero reaction and it’s just a blank face looking at movie clips (that they have probably already seen before).
The only other reaction channel I watch is Jason Brant. His “So Bad it’s Good” title is pretty cliche, but his jam is the 70’s - 90’s low budget crapfest movies (and Steven Seagal 😂😂) that NOBODY wants to watch except for the great Redlettermedia (which has usually watched the movies he’s just getting now, years in advance) and he stays in his lane. I can appreciate that.

My goal was to get some horror outside of October, but I'll take what I can get. Speaking of horror outside Oct., I've noticed a lot more "mainstream" reactors have been doing horror lately. Maybe Cassie could follow a trend instead of setting one for a change.

Hi Cassie, have fun on your holiday. We all need a bit of R&R from time to time.
I’m loving your TNG reactions and can’t wait for the next one!
Have you seen the Outsiders? 1983. Back in the early nineties we had to read the book in high school, which I really enjoyed, but as a treat we got to watch the movie as well, which I found captivating! It’s a American classic with an amazing cast including Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, Patrick Swayze and Tom Cruise!
But it must be the original, not the remastered version with the terrible score!

Anybody notice the increase in Star Trek and X-men reactions lately? Most of the others just wait for Cassie to do something and copy her. The problem is though they're not her, most aren't even close. Not trying to suck-up, just the truth. Cassie is the only one that can get me to watch reactions to films that I barely even care about.

Did anyone else read the "I'll be back" part in Cassie's voice doing an Arnold impression? 😄
I'm looking forward to Miracle quite a bit. Also, whichever the Paris poll winner is. Ronin is one of my fav, and I remember liking The Pink Panther, but I think I haven't seen it since I was a teen.
PS: some of the old, unavailable full reactions have been re-uploaded to YT if someone is looking for content during Cassie's summer break. For example Saving Private Ryan or The Last of the Mohicans.

Cassie is the gold standard for sure. A newer channel, "The Media Knights" I have found to be entertaining and invested in the films, with excellent edits. "TBR Schmitt" is an old favorite of mine, known for his very long outros, but he and his wife have a great dynamic and are invested in the films. Cheers!

No can do on the lesser reactors. As with most other human undertakings, only a limited few actually do reactions well, or do them in a way that is engaging for the viewer. Many of them just phone it in for clicks and views, or clearly are just doing it for profit (this is also true for many music reactors too).
I stopped watching one person recently because her reactions went from 45 minutes for a two hour film when she began her channel down to an average of under 30 minutes - usually around 26 or 27. When you consider her intros and outros, the actual reaction time is around 21 to 25 minutes on average. No one can make a properly entertaining and engaging 22 minute reaction - she's clearly just phoning it in for cash now.
Cassie on the other hand, even when some of her clips are a bit shorter than others, always makes it fun and entertaining, and it's easy to see that she is really invested in watching the films. When she's gone, I'll probably just go back and watch a past reaction of hers that I've already watched - I sometimes do that anyway because her reactions are top shelf - which is of course why I'm a patron.

Happy Canada Day!
I celebrated Pride 🏳️🌈 a little more than Canada Day 🇨🇦 this year. My friends and I were at the parade in Toronto followed by a visit to two spots: Paradise Grotto and Wiggle Room. 😁
I'm not big into poutine but I found a suitable alternative. Paradise Fries! 😋 Crinkle cut fries tossed in salt and MSG and loaded with kewpie mayo, teriyaki, sriracha, scallions, and crispy shallots. 🤤
I'm looking forward this week's line up. I voted for Ronin and The Pink Panther.
Happy Canada Day PiB and Pibettes! 🇨🇦😁

Well, like Meatloaf sang, two out of three ain’t bad. Really excited for the reactions to Miracle and Days of Future Past. But as it stands now, it looks like I’ll be disappointed with the Paris poll outcome. C’est La Vie! But, I’m sure I’ll still enjoy your reactions to the winners.
Have a great time in Canada! There’s nothing like going home, spending time with family, and reminiscing about the good ol days. Me and my siblings are talking now about flying out to Arizona next year for a family reunion at my cousin’s house. Just working out the details and trying to coordinate with other family members.
Looking forward to chatting with you and other PIB patrons on the live tonight! Until then…Ciao!

Happy Canada Day to you as well Cassie, believe it or not I've never had poutine before lol! Oh my goodness, those pictures, is that you as a youngster? Awww, you look so cute and adorable Cassie, especially in that second photo, how can anyone not recognize that cute little smile lol! Don't you worry, family always comes first, besides it's not like I'm gonna be able to participate in the live anyway, haha, you always have most of your lives and special events on days I work😭lol😂it's no big deal lol! Gee, you sure got quite the line-up coming up! This coming 4th of July offically marks 2 years since I became a patron here on your Patreon, and I've enjoyed being one ever since, I hope you have a fun and safe 4th of July also! I won't be doing much other than traditionally watching INDEPENDENCE DAY and reading The Declaration of Independence every year lol! A little update for you on my sickness, I'm slowly getting better, having a sinus infection is no showboat lol! But, I'm starting to get over it, still minor cough, but not as bad as Saturday night was, ugh! Anyway, hope you, Carly, Ben, and the kids are doing well, safe travels back home visiting family! Love and support always, I so hope and can't wait for someday to watch you react to The Three Stooges, I'm sure you (and Carly) will get a good laugh at their slapstick antics! You and Carly are the best, God bless y'all🥰😇🙏😉😁🤗✌🌹

Cassie, Everyone needs some some time away. You definitely deserve it and I am glad you get to see your family. I can't wait for Season 6 STNG. We watched the Kelvin films and we're so completely blown away.
For us we are leaving for Kelowna B.C. 8-19th. To be with my friend up North who lives right on Lake Okanagan I was scheduled to take this trip alone but since I have gained my better half she is going with me for a week. Even my cousin who owns the restaurant is taking the 2nd to 9th off. I need to take a break from all things healthcare related.
So go have fun with your your family. The Indiana Fever Caitlin Clark hat will be here waiting for you when you get back. Much ❤️ love to you & Ben and your family. As always you will be in our 🙏. And as always you are Classy Cassie.

Oh, The Sweet Hereafter? The one by Atom Egoyan? Thats a brilliant movie! ... Have you seen the canadian end-of-the-world flick "Last Night" (1998) by Don McKellar? ... its kinda a dark telling, but still very humane with some great characters played by a fantastic cast. Very moving and thought-provoking... the ending is beautiful in so many ways...

Excited for all of these! Miracle is a great watch. Really excited for Days of Future Past. And for the Paris vote, I had a simple suggestion, it seems many want Ronin, and The Pink Panther. Loving the TNG reactions! Can’t wait until S6 & 7 are complete so you can get into the movies and MOST IMPORTANT…Picard!! What a way to wrap up the TNG story!
Movies:
Generations
First Contact (awesome!)
Insurrection
Nemesis
Picard Season 3 - all 10 episodes are a MUST.
