Origins being terrible had nothing to do comic book movies not having yet found their way. That’s ridiculous. They didn’t have the mcu yet, but they had already made some of the greatest comic book movies of all time, even to this day with Spiderman 1&2 and X-Men 1&2. 3 not so much. Fantastic 4 not so much. But Blade 1 & 2 and then 3 of course is what got Ryan Reynolds the part in Origins, same director, even though he hated it. He refused, but they told him if he ever wanted to get HIS Deadpool made, he had to do THIS. Or they’d lose the character forever, or something. This movie is extremely relevant to Deadpool, but not plot wise.
