Anwyays, these two were really great, Q might just change my mind yet. Loving JLP more every episode especially, and I love a time travel trope. Excuse the spray tan my cousin gave me, day one is always dark and crazy. Next two episodes coming soon! Enjoy!

Star Trek: The Next Generation ( S3 | EPs 13, 15)

Comments

Not that I don't like TNG as it was but Yesterday's Enterprise gave us a glimpse of what might have been. I have never felt an alliance between the Klingons and the Federation made sense but since the Kllngons were an allegory of the old Soviets and the Federation the US, the alliance was always pushed on the show and in the movies as something to be desired in real life, especially in the wake of the Cold War ending. We can see today that was never going to work. It's also why I never liked Worf on the Enterprise. And his later romance with someone I won't reveal has to rank as one of the worst in Star Trek history. What were they thinking?

thansen

I just rewatched The Offspring. It has been a long time since I have seen it. After so long, you can forget the emotion associated with it. What an absolutely amazing episode. I would would almost plead with Cassie to watch this episode on her own. Not because I want her to watch one off my favorite episodes or something. But this is such a beautiful story, I truly think she would be missing a treasure. I so love sharing treasure with others, and I would feel selfish if I didn't encourage the watching of it sometime.

Tom Furze

Fun fun! FYI there is a 'will they won't they' thing with Picard and Crusher but it's woven into a lot of episodes which you may have skipped I think or is more prevalent later.

Scott Macaulay

Cassie: "We need a good will they wont they" There are a few - but they likely won't win these polls

John Sullivan

One Fan theory says Guinan used to be a Q. That explains their relationship

John Sullivan

6 will be intersting solely for the amount of 2 parters in that season.

rakesh

For me (everyone is gonna be slightly different) but season 3 has like 5-6 must see episodes. The who watched the watcher one is really good. Season 4 has 6 must see episodes and a bunch of great Data episodes... BUT season 5 and 6 is going to gets heated if you are only watching 3 episodes. There is so many must see episodes.

ExploreWinnipeg

Shooter McGavin? Wow! Cassie hasn't seen his comedy yet.

Brian's Dog

The look on Cassie's face when Yar appeared was priceless. TBH, I was not a big fan of season one Tasha Yar. I blame bad writing, not Denise Crosby. Her appearances after season one were great.

Stephen Dias

But minus the collars.

Daniel Turbyfill

Thanks, might be cool to have a few X-Files episodes on as well šŸ‘

Dean Holt

That's not a bad idea at all! Throwing in a few creepy TV episodes goes with the theme for sure.

Rick Moreno

And then they ruined it later? LOL! Is that what you are saying?

Mike LL

If it gets picked (hopefully)

John Sullivan

That could work. There's plenty of scary episodes that won't win in the polls that will be cool to watch later. Something to think about.

Andrew Buel

Not really sure where to post this suggestion and I know it’s very early regarding Cassies Halloween picks. But it’s just a thought and just wondering if anyone else thinks it’s a good idea and she could watch two maybe four episodes as part of Scary not to Scary in October as there are a few darker episodes, I’ve listened a few below and I personally think Frame of Mind & Genesis would be perfect for Halloween. Conspiracy S1 E24 Power Play S5 E15 Imaginary Friend S5 E22 Schisms S6 E5 Frame of Mind S6 E21 Eye of the Beholder S7 E18 Genesis S7 E19

Dean Holt

Ultimate question!!! So which characters do you like?!? Spot is a Favie of mine!

Randolph Tirazona

I like how Cassie realized when Data and Tasha were in the turbolift that they were the ones that had "relations"

rakesh

We better watch "Brothers"

John Sullivan

i can't wait for her to watch relics

Brian Smith

It’s been a while since I’ve seen that Q episode and maybe because of that I actually really enjoyed watching it, I’ve always thought Yesterdays Enterprise was one of the good episodes so I’m glad Cassie watch that one especially if certain episodes get picked in the future. Also loved the 88mph line lol, which made me think if Carly hasn’t watched the Back to the Future films how about a rewatch like you did with LOTRs.

Dean Holt

"It's insidious..." :)

The One True Chris

Nice! I'll have to check this video out after work.

Stephen Dias

Fingertip ring, well well isnt someone boujie

TinCan Cosmanaut

Please no Qpid next time.. XD

John Sullivan

i think the problem was that picking the Top 4 from each season half didnt help. It should have been the Top 6 and from that , 12 in a final poll, then the top 4 picked. If "The Offspring" had made it into a second poll it would have made it into a final four. More people were voting for the second half poll than the first. As choices get whittled down and people realise that the first half season epsiodes werent as great as second half and clear leader epsiodes emerge, we would have had a different voting pattern and we had a different final four.

rakesh

I think the problem with 90's trek is that it always took 3 season to reach its stride. With TNG it was Best of Both Worlds. DS9 The Dominon war and worf. VOY, 7 of 9. It's why I gave up on ENT. I just didnt want to wait 3 seasons again for them to get good.

rakesh

I stand by my theory that the show started to get better and better once they started wearing uniforms with collars šŸ˜„ The show was good before. But it feels like they really started to get their sea legs (or perhaps ā€œspace legsā€ would be more appropriate) about the time the uniforms got collars. Great reaction Cassie! I kinda wish you could watch the episode directly after this one called the ā€œThe Offspringā€ the ones that won the poll are definitely excellent. I actually voted for them. But I think you would enjoy Ep.16 too. Maybe you could watch it on your own. Looking forward to the next two!

Robert da Spruce

Just watch it for own enjoyment, not to react to.

Daniel Turbyfill

Even though it wasn’t picked I hope you watch the episode right after Yesterday’s Enterprise, The Offspring. It’s an excellent Data focused episode and in some ways a spiritual sequel to measure of a Man. Data decides to procreate.

Daniel Turbyfill

Basically, but it was refreshing to see Christopher McDonald not play an unsavoury character for a change.

Mojo One Thousand

I very much enjoy anything time travel!

Tommy Bessinger

Yesterday's Enterpise was the writers acknowledging they wrote a horrible episode to kill off Tasha Yarr... and this was their chance to do Tasha right. She saved the galaxy and her death held significant meaning! Such a creative way to bring her back, and cherry on top, it's a fantastic character episode!

Hat

Agreed.

Rick Williams

Cassie I like the tan. You blend in well with the headboard. Great Reactions Cassie. Yesterdays Enterprise is one of my favorite episodes.

Rick Williams

I'm glad you get to see some of Whoopi in her prime. You'd love her in Sister Act. She was great back in the day. She was at her best when working with Robin Williams and Billy Crystal. RIP Robin.

Nick Thousan

That one convo between those two guys, rootbeer and the federation, one of the best exchanges in the series

Bubba Fett

I understand. It is however somewhat confusing first time around. Ideally, you would change the registry numerical value, since those can be quite [infinitely] sequential. The hyphenated suffix are more easily remembered - but makes one of these three (3) things starkly redundant. If we can say Enterprise-D to ensure no confusion with Enterprise-C, then the number ā€œ1701ā€ can be deleted as a redundancy. Reusing the same number for a fleet of ships with the same lineage in name must be a nightmare for whoever manages the books in Starfleet. :) It’s probably why each of the seven (7) US Navy ships to bear the name have had completely different registry numbers.

Ike

Star Fleet likes to re-use registry numbers for famous ships (aka, legacy ships). Enterprise is the main one they keep bringing back out due to the legend of Kirk (and Pike to some degree). Being on a legacy ship was a coveted position, thus the cream tended to rise to the top with those crews. With less famous ships they will reuse names after a generation or so, but with a different registry. There's been at least two Saratogas with different registries, as an example. Due to the sheer size of Star Fleet reusing names seems to be commonplace (estimated there's at least a thousand starships across the Federation and tens of thousands of smaller vessels such as shuttlecraft, transports and civilian craft).

Laura Thornley

Loved this reaction, one of my faves so far, nice getting more insight into Q's world and character. I do agree with the consensus about the episode The Offspring, a must see Data episode, even if its an offline viewing.

D4RK

Lt. ā€œShooterā€ McGavin?

Ike

I think one of the best next generation episodes and one of my favorites, but on the down side, I think the enterprise C is a better looking ship than the enterprise D and so when I look at the enterprise D now I can’t help wishing it was the enterprise C, it’s just a better design.

Thomas Thompson

Also Coolant Leak! and the Geordie Roll under the descending door!

rakesh

Why don't you let Cassie find out that last bit of information for herself when she gets there...

Pickupthepieces76

The problem is that season 3 has so so many amazing episodes. Tinman is one of my absolute favorites, although I get why it wasn't chosen. Offspring is a really hard one to miss as well. Yesterday's Enterprise I completely love though. Taking Tasha's rather meaningless death, and then giving her a chance to do something heroic was such a redemption.

Robert Haynes

There are a few unavoidable character beats we may have missed due to the sporadic nature of reactions (like telling you that Vulcans actually do have emotions despite Spock’s protests to the contrary). 1. A funny, repetitive trope of Star Trek series are ā€œwhat could have happened had [insert event here] never occurred?ā€ A fun way for Star Trek actors to play different personalities of themselves within a good, what-could-have-been story. 2. The palate and appetites of aliens like Worf are often a mild source of humor. ā€œPrune juiceā€ for tough guy-type moments are my favorite. And lastly… 3. For reasons passing understanding, Star Trek differentiates Enterprise ships by a sequential, lettered suffix. (Kirk, Spock and Bones were on the original NCC-1701, and later NCC-1701-A after Kirk blew up the original after the events of Genesis). Picard’s Enterprise this series is NCC-1701-D or colloquially Enterprise-D. ā€œYesterday’s Enterpriseā€ showcased the Enterprise-C - a ship that would exist between Kirk’s era and Picard’s - we hadn’t seen before. āœŒļø2-points for ā€œBack to the Future reference. Loving our Star Trek voyage. Enjoy your trip!

Ike

Just an idea

Katie Jackson

If we were allowed to vote on those 2 separate polls as if they were 1 poll and then just take the top voted on by percentage to a final poll it would fix that problem

Katie Jackson

Shut up Wesley! 😁

Pickupthepieces76

@ContrabandDonut maybe the idea of an enlightened Federation is unrealistic. Maybe it runs against fundamental aspects of human nature or the reality of power games will always undercut it. (I hope not) But this is fiction. It can be idealistic

John Sullivan

@rakeshldn I know it's hard on the writers - and they did produce like a thousand stories at this point. But I wish they'd accept the challenge

John Sullivan

Cassie, your reactions in Deja Q whenever Data is discussing his humanity endeavor really trigger the sadness in me that you won't be able to react to the episode "Offspring" . Perhaps you can get a chance to watch that privately. As for Yesterday's Enterprise, let me add to some details and hope it helps. First regarding returning Enterprise-C, the fight with 4 Romulan war birds gets attention to the Klingons and therefore gain respect. The harder/longer Enterprise-C fights, the better chance to get Klingons attention. So make sense Tasha has to help when captain Garret was dead. Ohh...but there are repercussions for sending Tasha!! Also I'm sure you have figure this out by now. Enterprise-C has the registry NCC-1701-C. Picard's Enterprise-D has registry of NCC-1701-D. The TOS Kirk's original ship was NCC-1701. The Motion Picture (first movie) was called the NCC-1701 Refit. The rechristened ship assigned to Kirk after his demotion back to captain in ST IV:The Voyage Home is NCC-1701-A, or Enterprise-A. You'll see Enterprise-B and E later!

Tech Citizen

Yes, the Enterprise-C’s slow-walk into the rift was ridiculous, but so was the Ent-D’s firing rate versus the Klingons. We’ve seen the Ent-D firing phasers more rapidly before, and it’s capable of firing 10-torpedo spreads, not merely 3, as seen in the episode. Also, why didn’t the Ent-D use its saucer-sep ability to even the odds versus the 3 over-sized Birds of Prey? The point was Enterprise-D was sacrificing itself to save the Enterprise-C so it could sacrifice itself in the past to save the entire Federation.

Rod Reavern

Yes, it’s a shame that ā€œWho Watches the Watchersā€ episode didn’t make it. It was a great exploration of the Prime Directive and of Picard’s character, with a dramatic and inspiring ending.

Rod Reavern

In ā€œSins of the Fatherā€, Kurn mentioned that Klingons consider human food too bland, so I imagine that prune juice’s intense tart taste agrees with Worf’s palette. In the season 2 episode wherein Riker used alien eggs to cook an omelette for his friends, Worf was the only one who liked it. I believe it’s a running gag that Worf enjoys food and drink that humans traditionally don’t like.

Rod Reavern

^^^ This. I agree about The Offspring. The saving grace of Sarek is it will have Picard moments she will love, and she is a all about the Patrick Stewart these days.

Mike LL

I agree, it would be great if Cassie watched ā€œThe Offspringā€ even if it’s offline and she shared her thoughts about it in her next TNG reaction video. I admit that when I watched TNG as a preteen, I didn’t like ā€œThe Offspringā€ episode, but I’ve been re-watching TNG along with Cassie’s reactions and when I watched that episode, it resonated more intensely than before. I’m certain it would move Cassie to tears, in a good way, and she’d appreciate the Data-focused episode.

Rod Reavern

Yes, that is one that Cassie would like greatly. It is such a shame we couldn't see her reaction to Captain's Holiday and The Offspring. I would rather have those than Deja Q or even Sarek.

Mike LL

I agree, ā€œThe Offspringā€ could’ve been Cassie’s favourite episode from Season 3 considering the subject matter. I don’t want to SPOIL that episode other than it involves DATA and the title is ā€œTHE OFFSPRINGā€. IF Cassie knew what it was about she might choose to watch it! šŸ¤ž I appreciate that Cassie is watching 4 episodes in addition to the ā€œBest of Both Worldsā€ two-parter, so it’s unfair to ask for more. Perhaps she can watch ā€œThe Offspringā€ offline and share her thoughts about it on one of the TNG Season 3 reactions.

Rod Reavern

Speaking of All Good Things, after watching a lot of episodes recently and a few of the movies just to get ready to vote in the polls, I am in favor of watching All Good Things after the TNG movies, just to give TNG a good close.

Mike LL

Q: ā€œAnd what do we say to the god of death. A: ā€œNot Today!ā€

Uncle Phoenix

Additionally, she accounts for precisely the concern Wasted has by pitting the top 4 vote getters from each poll in a secondary poll. You'll note in season 3, all four episodes that are actually going onto the channel are from the second half of the season. After accounting for a episode 12 anomaly, of course.

David Collins

Mojo, yep, a smart/timely/applicable comment (joke) by Cassie.

Clay F

Cassie, since you mentioned root beer floats, you'll be happy to know root beer features prominently in Deep Space Nine. :) Just sayin.'

The One True Chris

I can't BELIEVE "The Offspring" didn't make it through the poll. I think Cassie would appreciate that episode much more than "Sarek," particularly given how much she loves Data.

The One True Chris

Also its never clear exactly what El-Aurians' (Guinan's species) powers are exactly - but they seem to be able to pick up on 'weirdness' that is otherwise undetectable. Which is probably why Q dislikes her - she can see through him to some degree.

Laura Thornley

True. But it's one more reason that perhaps Cassie should be interested in exploring the entire series for herself.

KTVindicare

Man I love Yesterday's Enterprise, classic trolley problem episode. Comes from an era before Star Trek went too crazy with time travel episodes. I like them better as a novelty that we see occasionally rather than as a regular occurrence like what we get in Star Trek Enterprise, that was too much.

KTVindicare

Unfortunately, the understandable need to limit the number of episodes viewed won't really allow those to materialize...

Story Archer

I think a fair few of us were surprised that Deja Q got voted in as one of the episodes this season especially when Season 3 is stacked with so many other good episodes, but that does go to show just how popular the character is with the fanbase in general. There will be more Q in future seasons too since some pretty essential episodes including the Series finale have Q as a central character.

KTVindicare

Cassie - you commented on how much you liked the uniforms worn in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Did you notice that the crew of the Enterprise 'C' were still wearing those old uniforms?

Story Archer

No one's forcing you to stay subb'd every month regardless of what she posts. You are allowed to pick and choose if you want. There are going to be months where she is catering to what you like and months where she isn't, I felt the same way you feel when she was doing all of those Westerns not that long ago, except I didn't feel so self important that I complained about it in the discussion threads.

KTVindicare

Cassie, once again, I hope you watch the 3rd season episode The Offspring (The episode between Yesterday's Enterprise and Sins of the Father), even if you only watch it by yourself (no reaction). It is an important and powerful episode concerning Data.

D. T. Nelson

I think she gives him Prune Juice because it may taste similar to a Klingon beverage of some kind. And also it keeps him regular, and she can tell he's an extremely tense person!

Laura Thornley

A pity you cant find anything you like in the 533 videos she has uploaded. And it seems objectively from the youtube views the X-men and TNG Episodes are doing really well. I think she does a great job changing between genres. On the flipside, feels like my Annual Extra Butter membership is money well paid. Oh well, can't please everyone.

rakesh

Don’t throw your pocket protectors at me, but Q is the most overhyped character in the Star Trek Universe. Q related episodes are usually boring and, like him, largely annoying.

Rollo Tomassi

Let’s hope not

shaneth138

shaneth138

Boy, Spot on with that. "Captain, I started reading War and Peace when they started for the rift. I have now finished. How close are they now? They have 9/10 left. " ugh!

Tom Furze

"We need a good will they wont they in Star Trek." Oh but Cassie we get like 4 or 5 of those in TNG.

KTVindicare

Yea, season 3 if nothing else. lol

Chrissonator

Eh, he wouldn't have greenlit a lot of Trek... DS9 would've been a no-go in general. He hated The Undiscovered Country. Voyager would've been a no-go since it wasn't about the Enterprise.

Chrissonator

Well, Who Watches the Watchers would've been nice, but alas. lol

Chrissonator

A fine adjustment to your sensors, Captain.

ContrabandDonut

I read the Mark Altman book about Next Gen (DS9, Voy, the movies), Fifty-Year Mission. For the depths of the interviews he must have conducted its breathtaking. You don't have to read more than a hundred pages to understand that the central argument in the writers room from season one to season seven of Next Gen was whether a story conformed to Roddenberry's limiting vison of a Trek story or a more liberal interpretation. I think John is correct, Roddenberry would hate Section 31.

ContrabandDonut

I lament that I can only like this comment once.

Robert Haynes

Mike Post wrote the L A Law theme. He wrote a lot of theme songs back then. Also back then they spent like two three minutes on theme songs in TV!!!! Now are theme tunes even 40 seconds?

ContrabandDonut

I want to watch this right now. But, my husband likes seasons 3-7 and wants me to wait until tonight so I can watch this with him. So, I have to be patient. I hope you love this season as much as we do.

Kelly Oehlschlager

Cassie: Why is Q naked? Me: He just got a spray tan!

David Patterson

I agree with you about Denise Crosby. This is her best performance. My problem is I can't tell if that's her fault or the showrunners for not giving her more to do in that first season. I don't know how her end in season one came about behind the scenes- her decision, their decision, mutual decision - but I've always felt like she deserved a better fate in the Next Gen story than what she got.

ContrabandDonut

I'm hoping she watches all three seasons of PICARD.

Stick Figure Studios

I'm fairly sure the reason she didn't do this was because there's a limit to how many options you can put on a poll on Patreon.

KTVindicare

For the next Star Trek polls, might I suggest you combine all the episodes of a season into one poll, instead of splitting up the seasons into two separate polls? For example, I feel like Season 5 saves its best episodes towards the end. The possibility of a banger not being watched simply because it's in the second half of the season is kind of silly to me.

WastedPo

Does Lieutenant Richard Castillo replicate pieces of shit for breakfast?

Mojo One Thousand

He is also in "Major League" which has been reacted to on the channel, the entitled veteran player that initially plays for himself and not the team.

Mojo One Thousand

Yep, 88mph is "Back to future". Cassie doesn't need to apologise for those referential jokes, it proves this cinematic journey she is on is working.

Mojo One Thousand

Just as a suggestion Cassie, if you want a little more romance for the series, might I suggest on your own to watch Captains Holiday. Purely a suggestion, but I think you might enjoy it. Obviously it wont make it online, but would give you the romance you want.

Tom Furze

"Head into the rift" "What speed sir" "Snails pace. Warp factor 0.0001"

rakesh

You forgot Whoopie!

rakesh

I really like all the little touches and tiny details that went into Yesterday's Enterprise to show the changes in the timeline. Things like how, throughout the show, they go out of their way to make it clear the Enterprise is a ship of exploration, but in YE, in Picard's summary after the intro, he refers to his Enterprise as a "battleship." That went over my head the first few times I saw the episode. To me, in some ways, it's those little details that make the episode so great. Fantastic reaction, Cassie. I love the next four eps of this series you'll be watching, so I can't wait for those!

Raven Dark

Cassie's impression of Star Trek TNG: The show starring John DeLancie, with occasional guest appearances by Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, etc. (I actually like Q, especially in this episode. I just worry she's getting an unbalanced impression of the series overall.)

WastedPo

The federation ideal leaves to boring stories and handcuffs writers. Glad they made it into a telemovie than a series. Honestly new trek for me isn't that bad. I fast forward bits of discovery that are wokery. But as a series it's ok. And new worlds is excellent. Things need to move forwards. Can't keep on looking Gene as the barometer of good trek. I doubt he would approved of DS9 and that was a superb series.

rakesh

A section 31 movie? Really? Basically every other scifi besides Trek relies on this trope of a secret dark/Machiavellian force hiding under a supposedly enlightened utopia. Trek is supposed to be the one that's actually an actual enlightened utopia. There's no way Gene Roddenberry would have green lit Section 31

John Sullivan

*gigglesnort* Best comment ever.

Raven Dark

Yesterday's Enterprise is definitely in the top 10 episodes of Star Trek. Ron Moore worked on the teleplay for this and he created For All Mankind on Apple. Guess he's all about alternate timelines stories

Chris Retzlaff

To be fair, Cassie, the tan goes well with the headboard!šŸ˜‰

Chris Clarke

You may like the movies "Coherence" "Time Lapse" and "Triangle" for timelines and loops. These are all low budget / indie movies but all very good.

rakesh

Watched both, quite hilarious to see Cassie working through the time epsiode trying to figure out what was happening. Side note. The other Q was played by Corbin Bernsen who acted a lot in TV shows in the 80s. Most famously L.A. Law. ( had a great theme tune!)

rakesh

I have wondered if you recognize that Wil Wheaton who is Wesley Crusher is the lead teen boy (Gordie) in the movie Stand by Me (1986) you reacted to (one of your initial reactions in Jan 2021). I wish I would have downloaded that full reaction b/c no longer exists. Guinan (Whoopi) is a good fit in TNG. The Guinan character adds flavor to TNG. The solid trusting relationship (and respect) between Picard and Guinan is a nice touch. I like E13 because shows Q has vulnerability (at least a little), and for the good dialogue and the good John D Lancie acting. "You have achieved in disgrace what I have aspired to be." "If it means anything to you, you are a better human than I." "You weren't like that before the beard." I find E15 somehat convoluted (a little confusing). Enterprise C fighting the Romulans (whether failing or succeeding) should make the difference. Denise Crosby's acting as Tasha Yar was her best yet in this episode. 88 mph = Back to the Future?

Clay F

I could be mistaken, but wasn't episode 12 one of the top vote getters? And does not 12 come before 13, even in the distant future? Has there been a breach in the space-time continuum or am I off my rocker...? EDIT: I see what has happened. In the final poll, a minor space anomaly occurred, mislabeling episode 17 as episode 12. Apparently you've already applied the necessary course corrections to adjust for the anomaly and the mission appears to be proceeding as scheduled.

David Collins

Yesterdays Enterprise is one of my personal favourite episodes, a divergence in the timeline that saw the Federation and Klingon Empire at war showcasing a more militant Federation. I adore alternate timelines and possible future storylines, X-Men comics and animation deal with alternate timelines, more so possible future alot so that's a fun little parallel to Star Trek. A few great example would be For All Mankind, Man in the High Castle, Kingdom Come, Fallout, House of M, Days of Future Past, and Batman Beyond to name a few. I'm still sad that WB turned down the Into the Spider-Verse creators Batman Beyond film pitch... Maybe one day :) The idea that history could change around us and no one remembers the past timeline is a little sad. I guess this is where the Mandela Effect comes into play in which a large number of people incorrectly remember events, spellings, deaths etc. Some people like to believe that this is history being re-written and only a few people notice the changes. For example people remembering that Nelson Mandela died in the 1980s when he actually died in 2013. I still recall watching Moonraker and finding out that Dolly did NOT have braces. Myself and so many people swear that she had braces but nope she never did. When stuff like this happens it really does feel like you entered an alternate timeline.

LittleGalaxyBoy

Just season 3, please! Each season is one whole arc, so it's pointless to pick 4 episodes from each season. Seasons 1 and 2 are terrible. I love Star Trek. I love the Picard character, but there are no saving graces to either season, and considering each season is 10 episodes, there is zero chance of her watching the whole thing. If she was going to dedicate her time to watching 20 episodes of seasons 1 and 2, she should watch any other Trek. But Season 3 is 10 episodes of pure gold, driven by a showrunner who loved the source material and was true to the show. Now I love "All Good Things" as a finale. But the movies were a letdown with only 1.5 of the 4 being any good. But Picard Season 3 is the sendoff (as it stands right now) to the saga, like "Rocky Balboa" was to the Rocky Series. I hope she watches it. If not with us, then with her dad (if he hasn't seen it) as I think they'll both get the TNG feels from it.

rakesh

It would be easy to pick Picard episodes to skip - unlike TNG season 4 😬

John Sullivan

Or just that one scene on YouTube 🤣

John Sullivan

Hi Cassie, quick question for you. After you have watched the TNG tv series and movies, will you be watching the Star Trek tv series Picard? Thx :)

Marcus Vanderzonbrouwer

"Oh, you're so stolid! You weren't like that before the beard!"

rakesh

Rachel Garrett will apear in the Section 31 Movie. https://www.indiewire.com/news/general-news/star-trek-first-female-enterprise-captain-section-31-1234968706/

rakesh

Not surprising. Q slowly but surely becomes less of a adversary and more of a pain. I mean it was a journey to reach that point for best scene at the end of picard season 2

rakesh

"Let's make sure history never forgets the name.... Enterprise."

rakesh

She was probably like "well they keep foisting this person on me, may as well pretend to like him".

ShazD

I think you'll need to react to Patrick Stewart in Extras. He plays himself as a characteture of himself. Quite funny.

Brian McGovern

Let's boldly go!

Mike LL

You liked Q in this one? I predicted poorly 😬🤣
