Star Trek: The Next Generation ( S2 | EPs 3, 9) - Full Reaction

Season 2 off to a great start for me! These were awesome episodes and Data4President!! I know some people are frustrated I am not watching more or all of the episodes. I get where you are coming from, I'm not claiming I am an expert or understand the show/characters like you do. I'm just getting to know this new generation of new characters a little so I can continue to enjoy a world I never thought I would have. Sorry this was a late, we ran into some hiccups on the initial edit!

I am a little sad that you aren't watching all of these. I mean, you have your choice of course, and I respect that. But there are a LOT of stories that you are missing out on that are very worthwhile, and the farther you go along in this fashion, you will spoil some of them if you ever want to go back and watch them. To get through the selected stories quickly just to learn the characters enough to enjoy the movies is hard - the next generation movies are really not the ultimate best stories of this crew - and many of the happy moments that *are* the best stories of this crew are being missed over during the TV episodes. I do love watching you react to things, and will always be a fan. I am not complaining because I am missing out on this journey with you - I am just saying you are missing out on a lot, and that makes me sad.

Prior to production to S2 there were behind the scenes issues with the actress Gates McFadden's who portrays Dr. Beverly Crusher which is why we get Dr. Polanski.

Doc Savage

Tiny bowl. Doesn't help

2 out the 4 season 3 episodes are going to be hard to pick.

The disconnect with more episodes, is that every season has important character/plot episodes that are mediocre episodes. Those episodes will get picked because of plot relevance (Skin of Evil), but you are missing the all time classics. 6 episodes in S3 going forward would be a good compromise. 3 episodes per reaction.

She has the Guy Ritchie one on her Letterboxd thing. But, if that’s wrong, it’s a HUGE oversight. Definitely start with Basil Rathbone

Larry Darrell

Did you just admit to never having seen a Sherlock Holmes movie in the intro, Cassie? I'm thinking a Holmes theme week would be good. Maybe a Basil Rathbone movie, YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES and the first Guy Ritchie film (which if you enjoy, and I think you will, you can watch the sequel).

Four episodes works for the first couple of seasons but you might want to consider 5 or 6 for season 4 thru 6. Star Trek is at its best when it’s seen on TV. The movies are ok, but watching them on TV is where you grow to love and connect with the characters best. If you ever watch Picard watch all the episodes for season 3. It’s serialized episodes and you would get lost since they are all connected.

Oh yea....please tell me we're getting "Q Who"?
