Silverado (1985) - Full Reaction

I can't believe how fun this movie was. I take back everything i said about Westerns being sad and dusty. Every single character was great, Kevin Costner was a DELIGHT! I demand a sequel!

Silverado (1985) - Full Reaction

Comments

JT is alive!!!! Once he has the hankerchief on and all you see is his eyes, you realize it's Neighbor Wilson from Home Improvements. And Stella is in quite a bit, Kindergarten Cop is the one besides She-devil that stands out

Chris Retzlaff

Need some John Wayne's movies

JarHead0351

Try "The January Man" for another great Kevin Kline movie 😊

Johnny Salinas

I always remember Paden (Kevin Kline) from The Big Chill. A phenomenal movie from 100 years ago. lol.

Carol Rocha

I’ll take Paden every day of the week…… (AND TWICE ON SUNDAY), Cassie! lol!! This was so much fun to watch with you. You really MUST watch Quigley Down Under (Tom Selleck) set in Australia! and/or Conagher (Sam Elliot & Katherine Ross—real life husband & wife!) Such a great western.

Carol Rocha

Two other fun westerns are Quigley down under and the Man from Snowy River, both Australian westerns

Scott Nelson

https://youtu.be/efnuQShSsLU?feature=shared Kevin Costner discussing his role in Silverado

Kevin V

Did you figure out where you've seen Cobb before? He was the sheriff in First Blood. Since Westerns seem to be growing on you, I need to recommend McClintock, with John Wayne. It's fun, humorous, and I think you would enjoy it very much. Give The Duke a shot!

Chris

Hi Cassie! I just saw your YT post of Silverado, and I loved it!! Your reactions just keep putting a smile on this old man's face. Do you know when the full reaction will be available for download on Patreon? Thanks, and keep up the great work!

Larry Dennis

To me, "Silverado" feels more like a tribute to classic Westerns and not so much a classic in itself. My personal favorite works of writer/director Larry Kasdan is his co-written screenplay for "Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back" (1980) and his directorial debut, "Body Heat" (1981), featuring Kathleen Turner's first film role.

ButtercupsTrueLove

It was Maverick, Cassie. where they stole the missions money, cowboys stole their money pretending to be indians.

Jimmy Reyes

There’s just something about seeing Cassie’s face light up when she recognizes actors/actresses!

Philip Alan

Delightful reaction, Cassie, just what I expected for this film. Now I hope you jump forward 2 years to his movie right after Untouchables - No Way Out. Romance, spies, suspicion, betrayals.

Bert Towle

PALE RIDER also came out the same tear as SILVERADO.

Stick Figure Studios

It's probably more about how he carried himself. Brian Dennehy dues okay smug really well (as he did in FIRST BLOOD too).

Stick Figure Studios

I enjoy Silverado. Maybe a few too many characters. Some uninspired dialogue. Not exactly Lonesome Dove. And some pacing issues. But it's a fun western and Costner's performance is decidedly unlike his normal performance. I found that refreshing. The best parts for me are the score and the gorgeous land.

thansen

Very good actor. He could play the good guy sometimes, too.

thansen

This is such a great movie and I am so glad you watched it. It is one of my favorites. The acting and music are great. I live in New Mexico and it broke my heart a little when you seemed so disappointed when you found out Silverado was made there. The town of Silverado was also used in Thor, with changes of course. They were supposed to do a sequel but the first one didn't great in theatres so it never happened.

Ramah Mustangs

Yeah, Kevin Kline is great in everything.

Stephen Dias

I love how much you loved this movie. I love how excited you were during this movie. You really got into it. It is a great movie. And you are a great person to watch this movie with, Cassie. More Costner. Try Waterworld, The Postman, No Way Out, Tin Cup, just to name a few more you may like.

Rick Williams

I have to say, I don't see why Cassie said Cobb was arrogant. He's actually a pretty pragmatic villain by movie standards. And the shot of him walking toward the camera with the house fire in the background is a great shot.

Brent Petty

Now I really want to get Addie Counts to watch this movie. #SilveradoForAddieCounts

Alex Tan

Yes to The Blues Brothers (1980) first or Animal House (1978). I like The Big Chill (1983). Watched it several tiimes. Kevin Kline is good in it. Several good cast members.

Clay F

My favorite western. Thanks for watching this but if you think you really like Kevin Kline now I highly recommend watching the film version of Pirates of Penzance it's a musical and he has the lead and he's amazing, so funny, charismatic and he can sing very well. He's great.

Ryan Towell

My personal favorite Bruce Broughton score is YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES, but this is a close second.

Stick Figure Studios

She recognized him. Just wasn't sure what from.

Stick Figure Studios

"I WILL KILL YOU!!!" :-O

Stick Figure Studios

The bad sheriff was also the bad sheriff in First Blood. Poor guy got typecast.

Brian's Dog

Kevin Costner personified "insouciance" in this movie. Just a great actor taking what could be a stock western character and making it his own. Kevin Kline, originally a Broadway actor (who has a great singing voice), has always been one of my favorites. He is also known for THE BIG CHILL, FRENCH KISS, CHAPLIN but probably most renowned for his work in THE ICE STORM, SOPHIE'S CHOICE, and LIFE AS A HOUSE. The latter two will make you cry if you are a member of the human race.

Above Average Dave

Still waiting for season 2 of 1923 and then, hopefully, 1963.

Craig Russell

Okay, so obviously you're loving yourself some Costner. Given that, I'm kind of shocked we're not seeing more recommendations for Yellowstone, but of course, before you even think about Yellowstone, you ought to consider watching the 2 prequel miniseries: 1883 (which might be the best done Western experience, top to bottom, I've ever seen), and then 1923 (with Harrison Ford!).

Art of Free Speech

Oh, nice! Back in the day, I used to hate Westerns. This was the first one I ever appreciated.

Stephen Dias

"I think we can trust Mr. Slick." Cassie's people-reading skills are as sharp as ever. :)

Brent Petty

This movie is everything a western should be. One of my favorites growing up. Cassie should watch Young Guns also as a more "modern" western.

BibbitduBois

This was So Much Fun!! Thank You, Cassie. Really glad you enjoyed it and loved seeing your enthusiasm for the score, by Bruce Broughton, who also scored Tombstone (1993)… and one of my favorite scores from when I was a kid… The Boy Who Could Fly (1986). He was verging on John Williams’ territory with this one, and it was awesome. He elevated a possibly laughable film to something really special. The writer and director of Silverado, Lawrence Kasdan, is one of the greatest, having written, The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). I hope you watch his, The Big Chill (1983) one day for many reasons. The Soundtrack is a big one, but also the story. It’s a great slice of life film. My biggest Lawrence Kasdan recommendation though is, a film that he wrote, titled, Continental Divide (1981), starring John Belushi and Blair Brown. (Romance Alert). This is not really the John Belushi that most people know. Perhaps check out The Blues Brothers (1980) first or Animal House (1978). But definitely find your way to the Continental Divide. You won’t regret it. Kevin Costner was just the coolest in Silverado. He lit up the screen every time he was on it. Did you notice him riding bareback. Too Cool. If you want to see some more of the young and exuberant Kevin Costner, then check out Fandango (1985). It’s a Wild Ride, and maybe a bit of Romance in there. It’s one of my All-Time favorites. 1985 was definitely the break out year for Kevin Costner. Don’t know how many have seen this, but I highly recommend it. In 1985, Steven Spielberg created a “Twilight Zone” type of TV series called Amazing Stories. It ran for 2 seasons. The 5th episode of the first season, titled, “The Mission,” written and directed by Steven Spielberg, is about the crew of a B-17 Bomber during WWII, on a, you guessed it… a Mission. The episode stars… Kevin Costner, Kiefer Sutherland, and Casey Siemaszko. (That last actor’s name will become more familiar very soon ;-) After Silverado and since Cassie is watching Masters of the Air, Memphis Belle and Young Guns. This episode seems like a sure thing. It really is an Amazing 45 minutes.

Larry Darrell

Great reaction, lots of fun... Between 3:10 to Yuma and Silverado, these westerns are starting to get Cassie a little blood-thirsty though ;)

Michael Labs

I love any reaction... when Cassie 'leans in.' Silverado was a lot of... leaning. But the best part... Cassie said, even considering his 'Otto' in A Fish... she still might actually 'love' Kevin Kline now. (I AM surprised Cassie didn't recognize Brian Dennehy as he played the 'arrogant bad sheriff' in Rambo- First Blood too.)

Terry Yelmene

+1 for Soapdish (1991). Also with Elisabeth Shue and Robert Downey Jr.

Larry Darrell

Wyatt Earp (1994), same Writer & Director as Silverado, Lawrence Kasdan. Also starring, Gene Hackman, Dennis Quaid, Jeff Fahey, Bill Pullman and more recognizable faces. It’s a little darker than Silverado, but definitely still Fun.

Larry Darrell

Honesty Cassie I don't think anyone cares about the quality at least I don't. It's all about watching a movie with you. That's what people care about. At least that's all I care about I imagine other people feel the same way. So don't worry about it.

Zachary K. (Swiftie)

Cassie, the horse that Kevin Costner rides in this movie looks a lot like Hidalgo. That movie stars Viggo (Aragorn from LOTR) He bought the horse after the movie finished filming. I think you would also like Young Guns with Charlie Sheen, Emilio Estevez, Kiefer Sutherland and more. It’s a “newer” Western like this one. YG has good guys vs bad guys and possibly a love story… < wink wink >🍿

Tara

My first time watching this movie as well, it was very enjoyable and your reaction was fantastic

Choof

Maverick the stole the money box in Maverick too.

Christopher Gray

misread this as "Sharknado" and am mildly disappointed 🙄

John Sullivan

This was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I still can’t not watch it anytime it comes on. 👍

K V

Thanks for picking this one. I'd never seen it before and found it quite enjoyable. You really need to watch 1883 for your next miniseries.

Yaisu

A modern Australian western style movie would be the biopic"Ned Kelly" with Heath Ledger in the titular role, and Orlando Bloom also starring in it.

Mojo One Thousand

An argument can also be made that the plot point is also loosely based on The Magnificent Seven. A group of loner cowboys banding together to help a town in the clutches of a corrupt sheriff. John Cleese was also Archie Leach in A Fish Called Wanda, and Scott Glenn was Axe in Backdraft.

Dan M

Fun Fact: There was a fantastic series in the 80s called 'Faerie Tale Theatre'. Hosted by Shelly Duvall (Roxanne, The Shining), the show retold classic tales, live-action with big name stars. The year 'Silverado' came out, Jeff Goldblum guest starred as the Big Bad Wolf in 'The Three Little Pigs'. He wore an exaggerated, more furry version of the outfit he wore in this film.

David Patterson

Cobb was played by the actor who was the police chief in First Blood (Rambo film). You saw Stella in Kindergarden Cop as the principal. Another you might recall is the boss outlaw they take the money box back from. He was the manager in Major League. The British sheriff was played by John Cleese, who was also Nearly Headless Nick in the first two Harry Potter films. JT was played by Earl Hindman, who was also in 3 Men and a Baby (the drug dealer who suggested putting the baby in the trunk). Emmet (Scott Glenn) was also in The Hunt For Red October (US sub captain) and Courage Under Fire (the reporter). The plot point of good guys recovering money stolen from a wagon train was from Maverick.

Brent Petty

I loved this movie when it first came out, as there had been a dry spell, really more like a stoppage of western movies for so long, this was so welcome. I still enjoyed some aspects of it, sweeping vistas, etc. but it's lost its initial appeal for me., Still happy you watched and enjoyed it!

Roger Hagerty

Love that Cassie really got into the rousing musical score of this picture. It is one of the best things about the film, along with the outstanding cast and great characters. I was waiting for Cassie to recognize Brian Dennehy as the sheriff from First Blood. Outstanding reaction! I knew she would end up loving Scott Glenn after seeing him in this one!

MikeLL

After having all of his scenes cut out of the movie The Big Chill. The director gave Costner this roll as a make-up.

Bill Hayden

Linda Hunt who played Stella won the Oscar for best supporting actress in "The Year of Living Dangerously" the year before this came out

Tom Furze

Paint Your Wagon - a Western, a musical, and some singing by great actors who have no business trying to sing (Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin) - classic stuff!

Walter

I have always thought this Costner performance is a unique one - very high energy, very fun. The closest maybe is Tin Cup - that's sort of Jake with 10 more years of living on him. Maybe.

Walter

Yeah, I thought that too. Shame she missed it.

Walter

It just occurred to me, this feels a lot like the opening of ROMANCING THE STONE, especially since I think "Eyepatch Guy" was the villain in that one, too.

Ben Livingstone

Since you seem to be hitting all the Kevin Costner western flicks, you should take a look at Wyatt Earp. A bit more drama and character focused than the competing film Tombstone, Wyatt Earp is incredibly underrated and some of Costner's best work. You might also want to check out Tin Cup, one of Costner's sports movies, but one where he plays a less serious main role.

Paul Ark

I have watched many westerns, e.g., watched Pale Rider (1985) a zillion times, but only vaguely knew of Silverado. I heard the name over the years but never really saw or heard much discussion. Maybe my ignorance or my limited world, or I simply just didn't seek it out -- so many movies out there. This was my first watch. I liked it. Incredible score. I liked the visuals, such as the scenery, the look of the saloon(s), etc. I had read a characterization of Silverado as a quasi-parody (or at least the feel) of 1950's-60's westerns. However, while there may be some familiarity, Silverado (in my opinion) stands on it's own as an "engrossing western" and "a feast for the senses" -- and with a focus on the characters. Entertaining. Scott Glenn (Emmett) was the commanding officer of the USS Dallas in "The Hunt for Red October." I liked Danny Glover in Silverado and Lethal Weapon. I understand that Glover (now age 77) is suppose to be in Lethal Weapon 5 (Lethal Finale). Danny Glover got his start in the movie business as an inmate in "Escape from Alcatraz" (1979) starring Clint Eastwood, which I would like to see Cassie react to that. Kevin Costner pulled off the Jake character (nailed it) having the boyish demeanor and being a killing machine when needed.

Clay F

His directorial debut was a sexy, stylish neo-noir (practically a remake of DOUBLE INDEMNITY) called BODY HEAT with William Hurt and Kathleen Turner (in her first film).

Stick Figure Studios

Just finished the reaction and thoroughly enjoyed how invested you got in that film. Definitely one of those movies where you root for the good guys to beat the bad guys. Just FYI, you do know the actress that plays Stella (Linda Hunt) from something else: she was the principal in KINDERGARTEN COP. You also knew Cobb (Brian Dennehy) from FIRST BLOOD and the English Sheriff (John Cleese) from A FISH CALLED WANDA.

Stick Figure Studios

He's in GRAND CANYON with Danny Glover as well (also directed by Lawrence Kasdan).

Stick Figure Studios

She recognized him from SECRETARIAT and BACKDRAFT.

Stick Figure Studios

I just watched THE COWBOYS for the first time the other day. Despite not caring much for the way they ended it, I really enjoyed it. TWO MULES FOR SISTER SARA wasn't bad either.

Stick Figure Studios

Playing an almost identical character.

Stick Figure Studios

It’s been mentioned a few times but you really should watch The Man from Snowy River with Carly. A few Kevin Kline suggestions: The Big Chill French Kiss ( with Meg Ryan) De-Lovely (with Ashley Judd) The Ice Storm He’s also in the live action Beauty and the Beast I’m still waiting for a sister watching of Kevin Costner in Tin Cup

Justtired

BTW Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!!! 🍀🇮🇪 This mick here will be enjoying some Guinness, Smithwicks, & Harp with his corned beef sandwiches today!

Zane From Canada

Cassie, I totally want a sequel to this too! 😁 I know it's wishful thinking. But there are small glimmers of possibility: Kevin Kline, Scott Glenn, Kevin Costner, and Danny Glover are still around. 🤞😉🤞 I think that's what makes Silverado special. Even though it doesn't last forever, you still love it and want more of it.

Zane From Canada

Just remembered that Brian Dennehy, who played Cobb, was also the sheriff in Rambo: First Blood.

Patrick Reynolds

Since you enjoyed this film so much, I recommend ""The Cowboys" starring John Wayne. And "Two Mules for Sister Sara" starring Clint Eastwood.

Patrick Reynolds

Cassie, I loved watching your reaction to this movie. This is my all time favorite western. I loved seeing it again after almost 40 years. It is a shame they never did a sequel. By the way, Scott Glenn, who played Emmitt was Christopher Chenery, father of Penny Chenery in Secretariat.

Patrick Reynolds

This has long been #1 on my list of movies I hoped you would get to (especially once you started in on the westerns and Costner films). So glad the day has finally arrived.

Cliff Stephenson

Loved, loved, loved this reaction. This is one of my favorites ..so much I bought it on Google Play. So glad you loved it too.

Michael Enos

If you want to see more of Kevin Kline, I’d recommend Soap Dish. It has a great cast, with him and Sally Field in the leading roles. It’s pretty hilarious. Also, French Kiss starring him and Meg Ryan. It’s a guilty pleasure of mine. Not the greatest film, but it has its moments.

Ronin NinetyEight

Yea! It's working! Everybody come and get it!

Tom Furze

Scott Glenn plays Emmett in Silverado. You've also seen him in... The Right Stuff - Astronaut Alan "Jose Jimenez" Shepard The Hunt for Red October - Submarine Captain Mancuso Backdraft - John Adcox Silent of the Lambs - FBI Agent Jack Crawford Courage Under Fire - Washington Post Reporter Tony Gartner Secretariat - Mr. Chris Chenery

Ike

There may be some debate as to whether or not Australia is included, but on my list “QUIGLEY DOWN UNDER” and “THE MAN FROM SNOWY RIVERY” or definitely on my top five all time favorite Westerns.

Uncle Phoenix

Cassie, well I haven’t seen it yet, but did you recognize Kevin Kline from Dave and A Fish Called Wanda? The older one from the group, Scott Glenn, was Diane Lane’s father in Secretariat

Tara

DAMN!! I still can’t get the reaction to play. What does it mean when it says they are still processing the video? I’ve never had this issue before. The one time when a reaction drops early enough to watch it and I can’t 🥹 Hopefully it’s fixed on Sunday so I can watch it then.

Tara

Bet Cassie tells Carly she should have seen this one...

Bert Towle

For Westerns I will also mention... Oklahoma (1955) - set in the rugged Oklahoma Territory a young farm girl tells her suitor a list... of what not to do. (Later Hannibal Lecter will quote from this, but twisted-like in his meetings with Clarice). The cowhands in conflict with the farmers... creating a spiraling whirlwind of tension. In one scene Curly McLain quick draws a revolver to demonstrate shooting into a knothole for Jud... who is played volatile and menacing by Rod Steiger. And many hilarious scenes 😄 it's chock-full of entertainment!

Mannygogou

I've been wanting Cassie to watch this for ages, I knew she'd love it :) Gah, the video needs to process faster!

Patrick Egan

I'm so excited to watch this! In the 90s, this was one of like 5 movies we had a VHS recording of off live TV. This was one of my dad's favorites, so we must have seen it a hundred times as a kid.

ThinkClint

The Quick and the Dead is a gonzo Western but I kinda love it. A lot of great actors in that one too

Walter

Reminder to everyone to subscribe to the channel this is on youtube, it's different than normal PiB and if it gets to 1000 subscribers the processing speed for these full length reactions is increased a lot

Choof

Still not working, I was really looking forward to this one! I am glad you enjoyed it though, gives me hope you will keep watching some more westerns. There are quite a few good ones out there.

Rob Galloway

Since we're looking at fun Westerns at this moment 🙂 I personally like "The Quick and the Dead" (1995) Gene Hackman is like Brian Dennehy in The Quick vs Silverado... The looks of the actor Lance Henriksen vs Scott Glenn. Keith David vs Danny Glover 😄 young DiCaprio vs young Costner... lol the 2 movies are very unalike, but let's keep going... Kline vs Crow? Jonothon Gill vs Jeff Goldblum... we're not done yet, yes we are 😊 more... Rosanna vs Sharon(?)... hahaha how much more fun can there be?!

Mannygogou

Some great Western suggestions there. I'd be in favor of all of them! It is a very John Wayne heavy list, as it should be!

MikeLL

The movie is just too much for youtube to handle! LOL

Mitchell Bowker

Had a feeling you'd enjoy this one, Cassie. It's not necessarily a brilliant (or particularly deep) western, but it is a tremendous amount of fun with a heck of a cast (including a number of actors I'm sure you'll recognize and some others I'm curious to see if you will), exhilarating action, witty humor ("Now I don't wanna kill you and you dont wanna be dead!") abd a rousing score by Bruce Broughton. Can't wait to watch this reaction (as soon as it's done processing). By my count this is now the 13th Western you've watched on this channel... the other 12 being: BACK TO THE FUTURE 3 MAVERICK UNFORGIVEN THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY 3:10 TO YUMA (remake) MAGNIFICENT SEVEN (original) MAGNIFICENT SEVEN (remake) BUTCH CASSIDY & SUNDANCE KID OPEN RANGE DANCES WITH WOLVES TOMBSTONE JEREMIAH JOHNSON So, here are 10 suggestions for some great westerns that I think you'll enjoy (there are some great westerns I am not including on this list because I don't think you'll enjoy them). STAGECOACH THE SEARCHERS MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE HIGH NOON SHANE OUTLAW JOSEY WALES RED RIVER RIO BRAVO FISTFUL OF DOLLARS FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE And one more that I suspect I will be the only person recommending as it is not terribly well-liked, but I loved it and I think you would too: THE LONE RANGER with Johnny Depp (directed by Gore Verbinski who did the first three PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movies). Happy trails, little lady. :-)

Stick Figure Studios

Same. Lots of great memories were had while watching Western movies. Speaking of which Popcorn would also love, “Quigley Down Under”. It was my dad’s favorite Western. Paul Harvey has a great episode about how Tom Selleck had to work as a carpenter and handyman to survive before his career got going, just like Harrison Ford.

Uncle Phoenix

hahahaha

Cassie

bit of trivia: Scott Glenn and Kevin Costner got along great during the filming. Glenn used to kid Costner by calling out to him "Hey movie star" as at that point Costner was little known and had not reached his star status yet.

Walter

How long to process this?

Craig Russell

I am beyond excited for that.

Stick Figure Studios

Kevin Costner played the person that the characters in THE BIG CHILL were going to see but his scenes were cut.

David Patterson

Cassie demands a sequel? Doesn't she know Danny Glover is too old for this sh*t? 😂

MikeLL

I always got a chuckle out of the Frisco Kid.

Bill Hayden

since we're all waiting for the video to be available...any love for The Frisco Kid in here?

Walter

Love that series.

Just Plain Bob

Yay! Have asked for this since the beginning 😊 happy it worked out.

Mannygogou

My dad always loved the “My Name Is Trinity” series of movies.

Uncle Phoenix

I can't wait to watch this one with you! This is a bittersweet movie for me and one my favorites. It was the last western and the last movie my father watched with his dad. The year after this movie released was my granddad's last and in one of his funnier, perkier moments he declared [with some unusual authority and volume I might add], "I want to watch a western! Somebody pick one I haven't seen yet!," ... and Dad had this one ready to go on VHS. Grandpa loved it! He laughed; was in awe; had stories of his own and really liked Danny Glover and Kevin Costner's roles. My dad grew up on westerns and for reasons just described, this is his favorite too. So, as soon as Spring Cleaning Day 3 is complete... we're going to watch Silverado with Cassie, folks! Can't wait.

Ike

I think Popcorn would love the “My Name is Trinity” series. It’s silly spaghetti westerns at their finest.

Uncle Phoenix

Costner has a four part western epic starting this year. Four three-hour films. Trailer looks amazing.

Brian Lowery

Maybe we could have a The Searchers poll? You know: A) The Searchers (1956) B) The Searchers (1956) C) The Searchers (1956) D) The Searchers (1956) E) The Searchers (1956) May the best The Searchers win!!

MikeLL

I’m so happy to see you reacting to this movie. This is one of my favorite westerns. For some reason it seems to be a hidden gem. So many people I’ve talked to,even those who love westerns, have never seen this. It’s top 10 westerns for me.

Rob Jones

Yay! I haven’t seen this movie, but with all the talk about it from my fellow Patreons, I was getting excited about watching along with you. I just learned that Lawrence Kasdan wrote and directed this film. He also co-wrote The Empire Stikes Back and Return of the Jedi with George Lucas. Wikipedia says Kasdan was known for updating old Hollywood genres…like westerns, but with more contemporary themes. And The Star Wars trilogy is often referred to as an epic western story set in outer space.

Dan M

"The Searchers"

Bill Maurer

If you mean Earl Hindman he was also in 3 men and a baby. Only recognised him on the full reaction

Brian McGovern

Seems to be down for now, but like the sunrise, just a mater of time before it's up. I just need to be patient. I would agree with many of the comments. The actors did an amazing job on this one. Kevin Costner was so young. I would definitely put my money down on a ticket if they came out with a sequel. It's too bad it struggled a little at the box office. People just had no idea what they missed!

Tom Furze

Same

nick bell

Oh man, this has been on my PIB wishlist for some time now - so glad you did it! When this came out I was 12 and I remember seeing it in the theater. I have always loved Westerns and this one had such a fun, kind of epic feel, with a phenomenal cast. One of my favorites

Walter

Looking forward to this one. Just good 80s fun.

Jay Davis

Cassie, when I try to watch, it says “We’re processing this video. Come back later.” I get the same thing when I try the direct link.

Tara

Favorite western with ‘Fort Apache.” SO happy you watched this. THE BIG CHILL is Lawrence Kasdan’s other great directoral effort.

Above Average Dave

Completely agree. Maverick is my favourite too, but I also love Tombstone

Cole Jennett

I just found out there is a Alice In Wonderland Star Trek Episode - This is completely wild is that a six foot rabbit? This a been a Saturday let me tell you, Star Trek, my Steelers trading for QBs and now Silverado. I met Kevin Costner down in the Gulf of Mexico during the oil spill, I was down there cleaning birds. He had some water skimmer that thing he invented here is doing a interview during the spill- https://youtu.be/4oFjTWs_FWY?si=RgHmgbVHmJYyrA-u

Zachary K. (Swiftie)

Here, Here! "Lonesome Dove" is FANTASTIC! Both Book and miniseries.

VivendoBem

I can’t wait till you work your way to Lonesome Dove. It was the first novel I ever read, and when the miniseries came out, it was such a perfect mix of cast and direction to bring the story to the screen. It has always been my favorite “movie”.

Anthony Padua

Perfect Timing. ;-) Wonder if Cassie recognized all The Who’s Who’s in Whoville?

Larry Darrell

I'm going to love this reaction and I have to watch right away . . . except in half an hour is the ACC Tournament championship game between NC State and Uni of North Carolina, so, I can't believe I am saying this, the Silverado boys are going to have to wait until tomorrow, and I NEVER thought I would ever say that!!!!

MikeLL

Any Home Improvement fans recognize the actor who played J.T.? Here's a hint: his face was covered. 😁

Zane From Canada

Oh awesome! My plans for tonight just changed. Time to watch Silverado!!! I’ve been so looking forward to watching this with Cassie

Ann-Marie Myers

Happy Saturday, Cassie. Silverado (1985) is now one of my all-time favorite Westerns. I own the 1999 Collector's Edition DVD in both 1.85:1 & 2.39:1 widescreen formats. This is one movie that I would definitely suggest to Addie Counts.

Alex Tan

This is probably my favorite western next to Maverick! It’s almost like the Avengers in the old west!
