Download Issues...
Added 2024-03-01 16:01:52 +0000 UTCHey guys! Just a heads up, someone has claimed some files on the Google Drive account that we use to host the full reaction downloads (yes, the blurred/muted full reactions).
They give us a few URL's of the 'infringing' content but, they've suspended the Google Drive account, so we can't even check to see what the content is let a lone remove it. We've reached out to Google, but they said it'll take 2 days for an account specialist to review our case...
All that to say that downloads won't be working for a few days. So sorry about that! We'll look into some alternatives, but once we get an update, I'll let you know!

And... it's entirely possible the drive will never return because nothing has changed. If Google's hands are tied when a complaint is made, there is no reason that a new complaint could be made with very small changes and it would restart the lockout process all over again. Could this be the real underlying message being conveyed? Erwin Smith character asks "Who do you think is the real enemy?"

2024-03-08 10:49:35 +0000 UTCIt's technically possible to have a "distributed" download system where members replicate a portion of the files library into their own google drive, there is a very simple and quick Copy command. Then the files cannot be shut off from one source. Not that I'm suggesting this is how we do it but a member can easily create a new email and a free drive account is allocated to that email. Not saying that this is an exploit... because it's likely also very little additional overhead for Google. The copy files are fast because they are kept in the cloud and probably the data isn't even duplicated, it's just that a new pointer is saved to the same data.
