Tron (1982) - Full Reaction

Comments

I see allot of recommendations. It's tough to decide. Today, I would recommend Explorers 1985 with River Phoenix among others.

ulyssescpt

Seeing Tron's vision of Computers, Lasers, Matter Manipulation, Video Games and Animation, certain Films from the 80s that follow Tron (1982) came to mind while watching... WarGames (1983)... with Matthew Broderick, Ally Sheedy and Dabney Coleman The Last Starfighter (1984)... with Lance Guest, Catherine Mary Stewart and Robert Preston Real Genius (1985)... with Val Kilmer, Michelle Meyrink and Gabriel Jarret The Manhattan Project (1986)... with Christopher Collet, Cynthia Nixon and John Lithgow Innerspace (1987)... with Martin Short, Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)... with Bob Hoskins, Joanna Cassidy and Christopher Lloyd Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989)... with Rick Moranis, Marcia Strassman and Matt Frewer

Larry Darrell

Tron: Legacy (2010). RT = 51%. Consensus: "Tron Legacy boasts dazzling visuals, but its human characters and story get lost amidst its state-of-the-art production design." Jeff Bridges I recommend: THE OLD MAN (2022) (7 episodes). RT = 97%. --Nominated for two Emmy's including Jeff Bridges as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. TRUE GRIT (2010). RT = 95%. --Nominated for 10 Oscars including Best Picture, Jeff Bridges, and Hailee Steinfeld. HELL OR HIGH WATER (2016). RT = 97%. --Nominated for 4 Oscars including Best Picture and Jeff Bridges. CRAZY HEART (2009). RT = 90%. --Jeff Bridges WON BEST ACTOR OSCAR. Maggie Gyllenhaal nominated for Oscar.

Clay F

Starman and The Big Lebowski are my favorites but you already reacted to those, but he did voice one of the characters in the 1982 animated movie The Last Unicorn, one of my favorites.

Richard Higgs

Remember "It's all in the wrists" and "that's a big door!" Also users are like lower case "gods" in Tron.

Chuck Jacobson

Jeff Bridges is perfect in almost every thing he is in, lol

william aaron sleeper

I’ve seen Tron Legacy many times and love that movie but have never sat and watched Tron from start to finish before…until now! 😄 Thanks Cassie! What a fun, interesting movie, I also very much enjoyed the 80s graphics, it worked really well with the concept of the movie. Can’t wait for the Tron Legacy reaction next!!

Spencer Thurmond

Thanks for taking me back to when I was a kid and saw this in the theater. It blew my mind. It was great to revisit it. I haven't seen the new one. I look forward to watching it with you. Great Reaction Cassie.

Rick Williams

Underrated, I don't think it gets as much love as it should. When Tron popped up in the "Upcoming" it sprung to mind as a good Jeff Bridges pick. I have brought it up previously. And, yep, I would put in the bittersweet basket for a Cassie reaction.

Mojo One Thousand

While watching this reaction I was reflecting on the the last time I saw Tron. It was prep just before I went and saw Tron Legacy on its opening weekend, which is fairly ordinary and pretty a common thing. But what made it interesting and memorable was that I had laser eye surgery that morning. I sleep through the recovery period as per the doctors advice and it ended being midnight when I watched the movie and I had to wear sunglasses while watching it so it was a bit of trip with the bright and flashing lights. Pretty sure I had to wear sunglasses for Legacy as well and just generally indoors for a while afterwards. I know the visuals have had mixed comments, but watching it again, although knowing it is from a particular time, it did feel like it had a unique feel of being the world they are in and it all kinda works even now. I had a bigger gripe with some of the dialogue. Interesting to think that it took some inspiration from "The Wizard of Oz" with characters in the alternative world having a relationship with the real world character, and the MCP being a more menacing wizard/man behind the curtain. With some more modern films having inspiration from it, as mentioned in other comments, Free Guy has a plot element based around the plot of Tron, and Matrix also has a similar messianic device (as do other movies), and among other similarities, humans in programmed world. Among other commenters I would recommend as Jeff Bridges movies: * The "True Grit" remake (according to the app Cassie has seen this) * "Arlington Road", which I mentioned in comments about thrillers previously. * "Hell or High Water", which I thought about suggesting for the last heist poll, but like "Heat" it is more about bank robbery than heisting. "Inside Man" won that poll, which is although being a bank robbery movie is a little more heisty. I am pretty I have added all as requests in the app.

Mojo One Thousand

There is also a reaction to "The Big Lebowski" as well.

Mojo One Thousand

Ooohh, don’t even get me started on The Pointer Sisters… and yes I do. Who doesn’t love a Montage? ;-)

Larry Darrell

Honestly, whenever I hear I’m So Excited by The Pointer Sisters I think of SUMMER LOVERS. I’m sure you know what I mean. The movie is an Experience. It will touch your heart and break your heart and mend your heart all over again.

Mike LL

Absolutely! There are a lot of great quotes from this movie. One in particular about Jealousy that I use regularly. This film sticks in your mind long after seeing it. Love the soundtrack too. Perfect use of the complete version of Chicago’s “Hard to Say I’m Sorry/Get Away.” One of the Coolest Songs Ever. I’m very curious to see Cassie’s Reaction and wondering how it could happen.

Larry Darrell

SUMMER LOVER’S is one of my guilty pleasures, for sure. Peter Gallagher and Daryll Hannah. It is not only a film but a state of mind!

Mike LL

Look at these dates… Pink Floyd: The Wall 5/22/1982 Rocky III 5/24/1982 E.T. 5/26/1982 Poltergeist 6/4/1982 Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn 6/4/1982 Blade Runner 6/25/1982 The Thing 6/25/1982 What a time. Wish I could have been there. Also, Summer Lovers (7/16/1982) is one of my Favorites. As a Man, I feel like it’s hard to describe the film to someone, without them thinking, “Ahh, that’s why you like it.” It really is a Beautiful Love Story though… Unique and Beautiful.

Larry Darrell

Tronegacy is super underrated in my opinion. Yes it’s pretty standard but the visuals are something else

Night King01

Great react Cassie to a classic!

Terry Yelmene

I think the visuals of the Shiva laser digitizing Jeff Bridges Flynn into the game world is still one of the coolest effects I’ve ever seen in a sci-if movie, even though it’s a relatively simple (animated) effect.

REDR58

Unfortunately shifting aspect-ratio is nothing new and still goes on today. Christopher Nolan does it a lot in his films.

REDR58

K-Pax is criminally underrated. Def check that one out :)

Nathan Jasper, the Artist Formerly Known as Primary

Even more ironic, a lot of the “computer” graphics are in reality, hand-animation. It was a a very complicated process to say the least that, as the filmmakers said on the commentary, will probably never be done again.

REDR58

This will make you think twice before hitting the DEL button next time ^^

pinkdino99

Won't spoil the next one by indicating what it is but as much you seemed to like this one, I know you'll love legacy.

Bubba Fett

Yep he's Starman, haven't gotten around to watching that yet but one I've always been intrigued by

Bubba Fett

Dr. Ian Malcolm: God creates dinosaurs. God destroys dinosaurs. God creates man. Man destroys God. Man creates dinosaurs. Dr. Ellie Sattler: Dinosaurs eat man. Woman inherits the earth.

2-Can

Ironically, even though the images were mind-blowing and groundbreaking, it was denied an Oscar nomination for best visual effects because the Academy felt at the time that using computers to achieve them was "cheating." SMH. :-/

Stick Figure Studios

That was early in my career. I've been Systems Engineer for a long time now, so I'm usually trying to herd all those cats. ;)

Steve Colletti

Jeff Bridges is in Only The Brave (2017), a highly-recommended true story! He's not in The Court Jester, but I'm sure he's seen it, AND would abide it’s recommendation too!

2-Can

Also, there is nothing like the original This was made in 80 to 81 and released in 82 and was groundbreaking. It still holds up today. The modern version is great, but the original is untouchable. I remember hanging out in game arcades and watching this in the theater at 22!

Timothy Williams

Note the religious elements. The users create programs. The MCP doesn't want programs to believe in users. The MCP is very much like a communist Soviet Union which officially doesn't believe in God. However A user comes down to the computer realm (earth), becomes a program, and saves all the believers. It isn't any specific religion, but it definitely has elements. Do you believe in the Users?

Timothy Williams

Thanks Mike. That's really odd because on her Jurassic Park YouTube playlist she has two hidden videos (it looks like Jurassic World has now been hidden as well) so I wonder what the other hidden video is if it isn't Dominion. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJ3Z8w6Nwe9N1jD4vo2PBb_nT9SNHb8HO

shireknight

Holy cow, you watched Tron? That's one of my all time favorite movies. I thought the sequel was mediocre at first, but now it's also one of my all time favorite movies, I just had to let it percolate for a bit apparently. I was all set to load up Kill Bill and watch that with your reaction, but this takes priority.

Robert Haynes

Jeff Bridges was perfect in the big Lebowski. If you want to see an interesting romance, movie, watch Jeff’s brother, Beau Bridges, in The other side of the mountain the film is very old, It was released in 1975 however, a true story of courage and survival.

Doc Larry

Can't wait for the Tron Legacy reaction. I saw it on premiere night under the influence of certain fungus-derived substances and it was one of the best cinema experiences I've ever had.

p0sthum4n

Just watched for the first time in a year or two on projector. It's great, but the IMAX switching is annoying unless you've got a killer set-up. The soundtrack is fricking insane.

AdrianF

Maybe they get lucky and a devops engineer is driving by to work around the issue with some duct tape. 😄

Gábor Árki

This was the first video I ever rented aged around 12. I took it home to the one TV our house had and the whole family watched it with me. My step-dad said "don't ever do that to me again !"

pinkdino99

I prefer the sequel; better effects and a killer soundtrack

Odd Thomas

Three technology professionals suffer a flat tire driving to a conference. The hardware engineer proclaims, “We need to buy a brand-new car.” The network engineer argues, “Let’s get rid of any cookies we have and move the tire to a different wheel.” To which the software engineer replies, “Hey, let’s just run the car for thirty minutes and see if the problem goes away.”

Steve Holton

I was in love with the Tron arcade game - played it all the time.

Walter

Great idea!

Walter

yep, I just listed my personal favorites of his regardless. He's one of the legit greats.

Matt Rose

Jeff Bridges is Starman I think. Oh wait... he was Obadiah Stane too. And he was "The Dude" Lebowski... like if you're into brevity man...

Mannygogou

A group of us (programmers) from work saw this at the theater when it came out. I'll always remember the first comment my friend had at the end - "they could always restore from backup".

Steve Colletti

Hi Scott, you are in luck! Cassie has a Patreon exclusive reaction to Starman. Search "Starman" in "Search Posts" above.

Steve Holton

Wow, no one can rec KISS ME GOODBYE but me? 😂

Mike LL

It's a very emotionally packed film.

John Liebling

Cassie has seen some already. This is however a great list.

John Liebling

I think you would love Starman with Jeff Bridges and Karen Allen(Raiders, Scrooged)

Scott Macaulay

I knew you would want to watch Tron: Legacy after this. I think you’ll be surprised by it. Jeff Bridges films… Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (1974)… heist film with Clint Eastwood Tucker: The Man and His Dream (1988)… true story Crazy Heart (2009)… Must Watch. Lots More as well, as you can see.

Larry Darrell

I'm glad you had fun with this one, I think you'll enjoy Tron: Legacy even more. It's a sequel to this one, which is always tricky to do with such a long time gap but they handled that aspect of it quite well. Back before Tron: Legacy got made, the director put together a little short film as a proof of concept, and they brought it to San Diego Comic Con to surprise the audience. They went BANANAS for it, which convinced Disney to sign off on the movie.

Patrick Egan

Same :)

Patrick Egan

I almost met Jeff Bridges in NYC years ago at a Big Lebowski Convention. He was there with John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, and John Turturro at the Manhattan Center. I wish I got his, and all of their autographs. 😖 He's been in the business for over 60 years. I love him and a lot of his movies : THE LAST PICTURE SHOW THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTFOOT WINTER KILLS AGAINST ALL ODDS STARMAN JAGGED EDGE THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS THE FISHER KING BLOWN AWAY WILD BILL THE BIG LEBOWSKI ARLINGTON ROAD THE CONTENDER SEABISCUIT HOW TO LOSE FRIEND'S AND ALIENATE PEOPLE THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS CRAZY HEART TRUE GRIT HELL OR HIGH WATER ONLY THE BRAVE BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYAL I've never seen the Tron films (surprise 🤯) or Tucker: The Man and his Dream. And as an added bonus, I share a birthday with Jeff. December 4th Sagittarians! 😁

Zane From Canada

I love TUCKER. It's a great story, the characters are fantastically portrayed and it's one of the more beautifully shot films from the pre-digital era with an amazing palette. Perfect for CASSIE'S NEW SCREENING ROOM!!

Above Average Dave

even better, DISCS OF TRON. That was the holy grail of arcade games for me, especially if you could find an arcade with the full cabinet.

Matt Rose

TUCKER is one of the great underrated/underseen films of the 80s and was proof that, at that time, Coppola still 'had it'.

Matt Rose

Excellent choice, Cassie. My favorite Jeff Bridges movies are the excellent John Carpenter film STARMAN and the Coen Brothers remake of TRUE GRIT.

Steven Perez

That's 4 recommendations for TUCKER so far. I'm surprised, I thought mine would be the only one. Only 3 of us requesting this movie at the moment on PR, so it's on position 2302.

Gábor Árki

Damn I was hoping for I, robot next lol. It was first in your upcoming

DustinChecksIn

While I thoroughly enjoyed Tron Legacy, this first one will always have a special place in my memories. Memories of watching this movie the first time and going to my local arcade and seeing the actual Tron arcade game.

Rainbow Dash

Cassie has yet to watch Jurassic World Dominion. I don't know why it hasn't happened, because she liked all the other ones.

Mike LL

Great minds, Matt! 😁

Above Average Dave

seconded 100% on BAKER BOYS and TUCKER. both are on my list in the post above yours.

Matt Rose

Yay! My brother and I played “Tron” as kids, which basically entailed running around the yard like we were on the Tron cycles. As for Jeff Bridges movies, it doesn’t get any better than THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS with Michelle Pfeiffer and his brother Beau and TUCKER.Thank you, Cassie!

Above Average Dave

My Jeff Bridges recommendations include: THE LAST PICTURE SHOW THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTFOOT AGAINST ALL ODDS STARMAN JAGGED EDGE TUCKER: THE MAN AND HIS DREAM THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS FEARLESS THE BIG LEBOWSKI THE CONTENDER SEABISCUIT CRAZY HEART TRUE GRIT HELL OR HIGH WATER ONLY THE BRAVE BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE

Matt Rose

True Grit, Blown Away, Starman, The Fisher King, The Vanishing, Fearless, Wild Bill are great films you haven't seen yet. He has a great range of movies. His westerns are my favorites.

Jimmy Reyes

I find LEGACY to be extraordinarily dull, personally. Great soundtrack by Daft Punk aside, the original crushes it.

Matt Rose

THE STATION AGENT is fantastic.

Matt Rose

I still say this, 40 years later.

Matt Rose

Lots to love in this movie. - Fantastic score by Wendy Carlos (also did THE SHINING and A CLOCKWORK ORANGE) - Jeff Bridges in 'mega charm' mode just reeking charisma. - Great action sequences. - Fantastic final shot with the city seeming to turn into the grid. I saw this twice theatrically back in the day. It's not a perfect movie by any stretch (the script needed another polish, imho) but it's still thoroughly entertaining.

Matt Rose

I’ve only seen the the remake so I’m looking forward to seeing this one with ya. My favorite Jeff Bridges movie is True Grit, followed closely by Hell or High water. And then Crazy Heart.

Alex Gorell

I really liked it. It is a silly fun movie. The movie is not taking itself seriously. I see its influence, though, on some recent movies like Free Guy. In some aspects, the movie is way ahead of its time. Watching it with you Cassie made me enjoy it even more. My favorite Jeff Bridges movies: Crazy Heart, True Grit, The big Lebowski, Starman and Hell or High water.

Mohammed Alshahrani

Cassie does have a reaction to Starman from a couple of years ago.

Shawn Kildal

Jeff Bridges is great! Besides Tron, I love his movies Blown away and Against All Odds. He's good in Old Man also.

Wendy

More Jeff Bridges? Try Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Tucker: AMan and His Dreams, K-Pax, The Fisher King, The Contender, The Fabulous Baker Boys... he's got a good catalog to choose from for sure. Looking forward to the nostalgia this one will bring.

Dave

Jeff Bridges has a FANTASTIC, super emotive performance in "The Company She Keeps"(1951) when he was 6 months old. /joke

YodatheHobbit

Hell or high water is a really good film with Jeff Bridges. #1 is always the dude.

Brandon

I was gonna mention The Fabulous Baker Boys - I love that movie!

Walter

I think this is a good idea to have polls based on a specific year. It would allow some movies that are not often requested to have a chance and add more diversity. It could be done easily with Popcorn Requests, by choosing a year and then selecting few randomly. Maybe from the top 20-25 instead of 50.

Gábor Árki

My #1 favorite Jeff Bridges movie is True Grit. Besides the ones I think Cassie has seen already: Crazy Heart (he won best actor for that), Jagged Edge (courtroom drama), and The Contender (he plays the President and btw President's Day is right around the corner)

Shawn Kildal

I’m right there with you. I saw it in the theater as a child and was blown away by it. Yeah, it’s a guy in a monkey suit. But no one ever made a monkey suit better than the legendary Rick Baker (who also did the suit acting for the film).

Just Plain Bob

If Cassie elects to react to The Vanishing, I hope it’s the original Dutch film. The American remake is fine, but nowhere near as good as the original.

Just Plain Bob

I somehow forgot and left Hell or High Water off my list, so I’ll second it here. GREAT movie and Bridges gives a fantastic performance.

Just Plain Bob

Jeff Bridges film recommendations.. Hell or High Water (2016) Fearless (1993) The Fisher King (1991) Cutters Way (1981) Last Picture Show (1971)

Matt

I first saw Tron when it was released on VHS at my local video store in the early/mid 80s. Once I'd seen the movie I couldn't understand all the hullabaloo that accompanied it. The story was nothing special and I felt that the effects seemed dated even at the time. I've seen it again in recent years and still don't see anything special about it, not even nostalgia. Oh well, to each his own. Jeff Bridges movies I recommend are Cutter's Way and 8 Million Ways to Die. I believe that 8 Million Ways to Die was the first film to adapt a Matthew Scudder (by crime author supreme Lawrence Block) novel. Both are murder mysteries/crime stories and both are good, but they are VERY different movies - although I feel that no one has quite managed to truly capture the Scudder character on camera to date.

Just Plain Bob

I haven't seen the reaction yet but you watching TRON will get me started thinking about the great movie year of 1982. I saw the first showing in our town of TRON on the Friday it was released and took my brother to the last showing on a Thursday night. When we discovered the Tron Arcade game later we became obsessed with that game, calling each other Programs and my brother was always saying this or that was “derezed!” It was a good time. Cassie, with TRON you have now seen all the great Sci-Fi hits of the summer of 82. Along with ET: THE EXTERRESTIAL, WRATH OF KHAN came out the same day as POLTERGIEST and BLADE RUNNER came out the same day as THE THING! Sylvester Stallone had a good 1982 with FIRST BLOOD and ROCKY III. Some movies I would want you to watch some day (they would never win a poll) from 1982 would be Ron Howard's directorial breakout comedy movie NIGHT SHIFT with Henry Winkler and Michael Keaton ("Love Brokers!") and the romcom (since you are asking about Jeff Bridges recs) KISS ME GOODBYE which has James Caan as a ghost haunting Jeff Bridges and Sally Field. And the wacky comedy YOUNG DOCTORS IN LOVE a fun spoof of medical soap operas. I have seen many others here suggest some great movies from 1982 that you have yet to see: ARTHUR 48 HOURS FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH TIME BANDITS DEAD MEN DON'T WEAR PLAID VICTOR/VICTORIA GANDHI TOOTSIE THE VERDICT Would make a good poll, no? I could go on all day about 1982! I could write a book! THE BEASTMASTER, PORKY”S, SUMMER LOVERS, FRIDAY THE 13TH PART III in 3D!

Mike LL

My favorite Jeff Bridges movie is The Big Lebowski. He was born to play The Dude. Other Jeff Bridges films I'll recommend that you also need to see. The Fisher King (Fantasy/Comedy/Drama) Stick It (Comedy/Drama) K-Pax (Sci-fi/Mystery)

G

Nooo I've NEVER and would never think such things about chad.

My_Cousin_Mose

My mom and dad both had those same glasses as Lora in the eighties and early nineties. I was just looking at a photo of them wearing them when were were at the circus in 1990. It's true, they are hard to pull off.

YodatheHobbit

Favorite Jeff Bridges- The Big Lebowski, Against All Odds (1984), Jagged Edge (1985), and The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989). I also really liked Starman. Tron Legacy is really good.

Phillip Bates

For me, Tron is a good concept that can be appreciated for what it is, Legacy is a great movie (sequel) that almost perfects the original.

Mike Lemon

Favorite Jeff Bridges- The Last Unicorn (1982) a great animated movie and Blown Away (1994) a thriller with his dad and Tommy Lee Jones.

Mike Lemon

My favourite Jeff Bridges film is "The Fisher King", which also happens to be my favourite Robin Williams film also.

Jake McNulty

Can anyone tell me what's happened to Jurassic Park Dominion please. I'm new here and came over from YouTube. I notice there is a hidden movie in the Jurassic Park collection on Cassie's YouTube channel and assumed it to be Dominion that had been hidden due to copyright problems, but looking through the list of full reactions here, it's not listed in there either. Plus, looking through the list I notice that Jurassic Park 2: Lost World isn't there either, but I know Cassie's watched it because I've seen her cut down version of it on YouTube. Are these two reactions in the process of being replaced, or has Cassie never seen Dominion? I'm confused lol.

The Vanishing with Kifer Sutherland and Sandra Bullock. Hard to watch though. Thunderbolt and Lightfoot Clint Eastwood I have seen of all Clints movies. Bad Times at El Royal (2018) Beautiful Soundtrack and Crazyheart Blown Away (1994) Action Thriller and Then The Only Boy living in NY City (2017) Kate Beckinsale, one of my favorite Actresses, True Grit (2010) and of course The Big Lebowski which you have seen

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

Recently watched your Little Miss Sunshine reaction and you mentioned wanting to check out more "indie / hidden jem" type films would absolutely love if you did more, maybe even have an indie poll. So I wanted to recommend some that I think you would like.. The Station Agent (2003) Lars and the Real Girl (2007) Win Win (2011) Ruby Sparks (2012) (same writers/ directors as little miss sunshine) Short Term 12 (2013) Paterson (2016) The Florida Project (2017) Minari (2020) C'mon C'mon (2021) CODA (2021)

Matt

GREETINGS PROGRAMS!

djKENTO

I know I will be in the minority on this one but if I had to pick my favorite Jeff Bridges movie it would have to be King Kong(1976 remake). Most people look down on it, and I do like the original version better myself. However I do still really enjoy it.

Rob Galloway

I think if I would have seen this movie as a child, I probably would have loved it. But I've only seen it before LEGACY came out. Still curious to see it a second time with Cassie. A Jeff Bridges movie I really enjoyed is TUCKER: THE MAN AND HIS DREAM (1988) and I think Cassie would too. It is such a little known, underrated gem, and based on a true story. Also, there is CRAZY HEART (2009) if you would like to hear him sing. He won an Oscar for that role.

Gábor Árki

I loved True Grit (2010) And R.I.P.D (2013) was great too

Scott Souza

You like heist films don't you? Try Thunderbolt and Lightfoot with Jeff and Clint

John Drake

Prefer Legacy but love Tron. Legacy's soundtrack is fantastic (maybe one for the cinema room if you're not using headphones there).

AdrianF

I've never seen this movie. I admire you using it in your preparations for Disney World.

Mark Vaderr

I was 6 years old when this movie came out. My parents took me to the theater to see it and although I didn't understand much of what was going on, I knew that all the imagery in it was created by computer and it positively blew my young mind (it was also my introduction to Jeff Bridges). I cannot wait to watch this reaction and see what you think of it.

Stick Figure Studios

Great thriller you will hate:) Arlington Road. Timothy Robbins is in it as well with Joan Cusack.

Time to pull out the laserdisc box set
