Hey everyone! Well not to be dramatic but it feels like January has been 41 days already!? Doesn't Christmas feel so long ago? I was happy to have my kids go back to school this week and feel a small sense of routine coming back ISH always a big ISH for me. It got FREEZING here this week, and snow after Christmas is just not that cute. Trying to find little things during the day to look forward to to beat those January blues. Today it is Carly coming over tonight, and crossing off "costco haul" off my list. WOAH DREAM BIG I know!
This week for movies we've got Kill Bill ( a little nervous) ST4 ( a little excited) and a SURPRISE ( something for YOU to hopefully look forward to) I was going to give you a little hint, but you are all too smart and no matter how difficult I try to make it, I think you'll figure it out!
If you didn't see yesterday, I did an instagram LIVE where I drew 6 (whoops only could do 5) from our 51-100 request list and that poll is up on the YT community. It is weird becasue every comment is about how good lost in translation is, or how much they love 3 men and a baby, but the clear winner right now is I, Robot (YT is a mystery sometimes)
Here are some dates to remember
1/27-Extra Butter LIVE!
2/1-PATRON POP QUIZ TRIVIA #6
End of February-3rd Annual POPPIE AWARDS!
I want you to know I see all of you, I know a lot of you want more classics, some people hate Star Trek, some of you feel unheard and I am so sorry about that! I do read all the comments and I want you to know I really do try to balance as much as I can with trying to make as many of you happy as I can. I try to balance genres, decades series vs no series etc. but I know some undoubtedly get overshadowed! I am going to be putting together a little survey, I know we have had one or two before, but can't hurt again, always trying to make the channel better! I know I am a broken record but I ADORE this community and you are all like a big hug in gloomy January!
xoxo
Cassie

I've been binging your reactions on yt for about a week now. By far my favorite reactor. since I'm new i had to check on something. I would of swore you were Kimberly Schlapman of little big town just with better hair.

2024-01-27 06:21:31 +0000 UTCYeah, well, your accidental comment during Kill Bill Volume 1 that, "Gogo has caveman balls," should be it's own clip, and it still cracks me up. You already made my year, sweet girl, and you're right, Carly is a bright spirit to help with the darkness of winter. Just remember, 6 weeks and we start getting into Spring. March 4th things warm up. The days are longer.

2024-01-15 07:15:46 +0000 UTCI don’t know what to say. I know the picks are for variety but the majority is now not what I signed up for. I am not interested in anything in months except maybe Ransom that isn’t available so I watched the YouTube version and that isn’t your fault but the majority vote has shifted away from my interests completely. Y’all can come at me but this is my option. I know I can shut up and leave but I do love the ladies reactions. Bye.👋

2024-01-13 17:34:54 +0000 UTCWhat do you think are we going to get Kill Bil or Star Trek IV next? We all know which one will bring a yea from Cassie.

2024-01-13 16:33:01 +0000 UTCI am a doctor. It seems you are the one who's upset. Cool. You call that an essay, well since I am used to writing novels, I suppose you might think 17 lines would be excessive. My current novel is about 116,000 words, which I've edited down from about 150,000 words. I like to write. I like to read. And love to debate. My question remains why are you fighting so hard to defend the indefensible? And if I am so far out of line, why did 5 people like what I wrote. Perhaps, since I am still engaging with, they've changed their minds. Not sure. As long as you write to me, I'll write back. As far as the historical or political I'll refrain from mentioning 99.99999% of what I'd like to say. As I wrote above, if you ever would like to mention a different internet platform which encourages political discourse, I'd love to join you on that site. Your choice. Ignore me. And I'll stop. Keep on sending nonsense my way and I'll respond. Though I'll refrain from call you the names you're calling me. Truth is, if you truly agree with that other dude, than I do feel sorry for you. Remember Cassie doesn't like the language you're using above. That's why I'll refrain from using some specific choice words. Oh yea, I love rhyming. But I think that too would be above your pay grade. Happy New Year. I'm having a great time so far in 2024.
John Liebling
2024-01-13 06:53:07 +0000 UTCLol, instead of letting it go you just wrote an essay, including political commentary which you supposedly oppose and yet can't refrain from positing. You're a hypocrite, Mr. Historian sir. You have a very high opinion of yourself, despite your deranged rantings and delusions of grandeur. I'm worried that dementia may be setting in. Please see a doctor, sir.

2024-01-13 04:17:30 +0000 UTCYou got me. I did bring attention to hate speech. I did bring attention to a political philosophy that enjoys committing horrible crimes against children. And you're using your first amendment right, in support of that. Shame on you. And shame on anyone who would agree with you. The facts are almost nobody else wants this give and take. They want to focus on what movies Cassie will react to next. They are here to have fun. To get a break from the hardships that make up so many lives. The fact is YOU are the person who has brought politics into this. And bringing more attention to the that to the PIB community. You and only you have responded. Not sure if you are an ally of Shehab, or maybe you are Shehab. The big unanswered question is why you support his identifier? When clearly Cassie does not. She removed it because it violated community guidelines. Time to move along. Comment on her reactions or suggest movies you'd like Cassie and Carly to react to. Stop keep this going. Now if you'd like to suggest a specifically political site, I'd enjoy showing and proving how wrong you are on the subject. Don't forget I've worked as an historian for about five decades. I can tell you, without talking to her, that this conversation is bothering Cassie. She'd like you to stop. She'd like to you start a conversation about anything else. So, if you respect Cassie. Do that.
John Liebling
2024-01-12 23:55:59 +0000 UTCCorrect. This site isn't a place for political comments and yet you posted multiple political comments here. 99% of the people here never would have noticed his profile picture if you wouldn't have brought attention to it.

2024-01-12 23:02:39 +0000 UTCHa Ha giggle giggle. I don't get triggered. And I am neither a neocon, nor a pathetic snowflake. You don't know who I am. But I won't show you how tiny you are and engage with you, because that is not what Cassie would like, and that is not what this site is all about. I strongly suggest you refrain from talking out of something other than that thing beneath your nose.
John Liebling
2024-01-12 16:51:43 +0000 UTCWow. His tiny little pic is a flag and two words and that is enough to trigger you. You pro war, neocon snowflakes are so pathetic. Go find a safe space for you to cry in.

2024-01-12 09:57:51 +0000 UTCOh, I understand her distaste for the gore. If she had informed us she is not comfortable watching the film I still support her channel and look forward to her content. I don’t expect a friend to like everything I do. She is such a trooper which inspires me to try different genres.
Anthony V Petty
2024-01-12 01:09:41 +0000 UTCI liked it as it's own movie thing, but as a story adaptation I feel it fell really short; I'Robot is one of those properties that really should only be adapted as an anthology mini-series.

2024-01-12 00:37:25 +0000 UTCYou did not have to do that, but thank you! I enjoy the wholesomeness of your reactions. They help keep me sane between teaching, going to school myself, and working with multiple non-profits. Thanks for what you do.

2024-01-11 19:46:52 +0000 UTCMost of us are not complaining regarding the Kill Bill, we're looking out for Cassie, as she is not a fan of the type of movie. Because she is loyal to her subscribers and Patrons, she is going through with it, because it was a top vote getter. Because of the many comments, she's wisely not going to include her sister Carly, who is a lot more squeamish regarding that type of flick. I agree with you on a variety of films, that's what makes PIB such a great place. Many of us are pushing for more classic films and something Cassie hasn't tried before...Musicals.
John Liebling
2024-01-11 17:59:53 +0000 UTCCassie hasn't given any indication that she'll be watching or not watching next generation films or TV. But if she's planning on watching "First Contact" which is the only good Next Generation film...I would strongly suggest she watch the Borg episodes. I do think she is planning to react to the Chris Pine Star Trek.
John Liebling
2024-01-11 17:54:19 +0000 UTCI completely agree.
Cody Nelson
2024-01-11 17:14:45 +0000 UTCThe truth is, I never thought she would ever become a Trekkie but she did. So I thought I had her figured out but I don't. I try to send her movies that I know she will like. More than just Sharon Tate movies. Every movie is carefully thought over. So you absolutely you could be right and I could be dead wrong? It's just the major plot twist that happens 2/3 the way through, she wouldn't like it. However the rest of the movie could make up for it?
Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)
2024-01-11 16:20:22 +0000 UTCLife of Brian is a mainstream movie. I see no good reason not to suggest it. Just because some other people's standards of what is objectionable for Cassie are crossed doesn't mean you have to have the same standards. I don't know if Cassie would like LoB, but it's not going to destroy her beliefs or something. We all have ideas as to what constitutes what is acceptable in film, but the mistake people make is believing their standards apply to everyone else. We can make that choice when it comes to voting for a film in a poll, but when the majority disagrees with your standards it's time to let it go
Richard Maurer
2024-01-11 15:15:14 +0000 UTCSo you're okay with violence as long as the victims are real people and not fictional. I'm just messing with you. I still think she'll like it though.
Kevin Charley
2024-01-11 09:32:05 +0000 UTCYeah, but the Manson girls the helped kill Sharon Tate in real life. They deserved it I only wish they could kill them twice. The "over the top violence" at the end of the flick was just a reflection of what the Manson family perpetrated to their victims. I am not knocking Jackie Brown I loved it. Chris Tucker was absolutely hilarious. I loved the way you had to follow the money. Not the people. I just don't think Cassie will like it as much as the other Tarantino flicks. That's all.
Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)
2024-01-11 08:26:47 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite films is LIFE OF BRIAN. I would never dream of suggesting that to Cassie and if I did I’m sure everyone would come out to castigate me for thinking that would be an appropriate movie for this channel. I guess it bothers me that that we’re all so afraid of offending her possible religious sensitivities but we think it’s our duty to desensitize her to gratuitous violence that clearly upsets her.
jdj830
2024-01-11 07:27:05 +0000 UTCLove you, Cassie. You’re always fair. You’re my favorite movie reaction channel. I so wish I could see your reactions to earlier movies-before I found your channel. There should be a way. You’d think they’d still be floating around YouTube. Lol. Anyway, always anxious to hear what’s next. Great job, always

2024-01-11 02:30:52 +0000 UTCI don’t get how anyone is complaining about what is watched? The whole point is for Cassie to watch a variety of films which broadens her experience and she is kind enough to invite us to share the experience. If I didn’t enjoy a movie then I skip that reaction. I watched the original Star Wars trilogy along with her, but skipped the prequels and recently releases. I never cared for them , but I’m happy she watched them. I really enjoyed Kill Bill vol 1&2 , but I certainly understand if it’s not her cup of tea. I don’t take it personally.

2024-01-11 01:58:32 +0000 UTCSince I don't think I've shared my valuable opinion on the matter yet: I have my criticisms (ahem) of the new* movies, but I am reasonably confident that Cassie will enjoy the first two. * i.e. JJ Abrams

2024-01-11 00:04:03 +0000 UTCI am excited for Kill Bill, though-given your reaction on previous Tarantino, I get your anxiety. If it helps, I feel like I get and understand Tarantino’s other work but I wouldn’t say I love it. I really enjoyed Kill Bill, though. You are going to need to make pretty swift room for vol 2-just fair warning. I love you are watching the Star Trek films. Maybe I missed where you said (I’ve been out of it with Covid for awhile so I missed a lot) but are you going to watch the Next Generations Films and the JJ Abrams’ Star Trek Films.? Generations and First Contact are really good from the TNG films and this may not be a popular opinion, but I thought the JJ Abrams films were a lot of fun.

2024-01-10 21:07:36 +0000 UTCShehab Dawoud...This is a movie platform. We enjoy agreeing and disagreeing. It's all fun banter back and forth. Follow community guidelines and stop with your BS Palestine flag and politically hateful commentary below the flag. If you want to add a comment with your name, or other picture, that's fine. No political messaging should be tolerated. Do the right thing and take it down. This is now the second time I am tell you to cool it regarding your ridiculous point of view. 2024-01-10 18:04:32 +0000 UTCCannibal Holocaust in the Avocado Jungle of Death? I love that movie! Why wouldn't Cassie watch it? :-P
Happy Hanukkah
2024-01-10 18:03:50 +0000 UTCSo if Cannibal Holocaust were in the requests and Cassie picked it would have to go in the poll, and then if it somehow won Cassie would have to watch it? Yeah, I don't see that ever getting past the requests stage. If she picked it I'd be one of many telling her she needs to just skip that one and move on. The truth is my position is not the extreme position. Kill Bill is violent, yes, but it's still just a mainstream movie, and there isn't a good reason for Cassie not watching it.
Richard Maurer
2024-01-10 17:50:45 +0000 UTCIt's not a secret tbh. I've been nagging about that movie like 2 years now almost 😵💫😵💫

2024-01-10 16:33:08 +0000 UTCWe're likely to see a bunch of Star Trek reactions in the future, as they seem to be doing fairly well on YT for Cassie. Anyone remember the avalanche of Mission Impossible reactions after Cassie watched them?
Richard Maurer
2024-01-10 16:26:53 +0000 UTCCassie mentioned in the video that Contact was the movie she wanted to win the poll. But that couldn't have had anything to do with it winning, right?
Richard Maurer
2024-01-10 16:20:24 +0000 UTCI'm a little nervous for you on Kill Bill too. Lost in Translation has an arthouse cinema feel so YT makes sense to me: comments that it it is great, but never going to win a popular vote.

2024-01-10 12:39:22 +0000 UTCReposting my comment from last week: We got some pretty big sporting events coming up next month. One is of course the Super Bowl. I’m not a fan of American Football but I always watch the SB. So, leading up to it, I’d love to see a reaction to Any Given Sunday! It’s not really a great film, but it features a stacked cast and an Al Pacino carry job where he delivers one of the greatest movie speeches of all time. I think you’ve seen all the other big ones, so that’s the one that’s missing. The other big event is the NBA All-Star weekend. I think it’s about time that we get a Basketball poll going. I mean, we’ve seen pretty much every sport on the channel other than the two biggest ones (Fútbol & Hoops) for crying out loud. Some of my favorites: White Men Can’t Jump, Blue Chips, Above The Rim, He Got Game, The Way Back (2020), & Hustle (2022). All very different films, with different environments/levels, themes, genres. You could also throw in some films like Uncut Gems and Air, which aren’t Basketball films per se, but where the sport plays a big role. Hoping we can get it this time!
Shehab Dawoud
2024-01-10 12:33:15 +0000 UTCCassie's Pulp Fiction reaction taught me that she doesn't like films that are 99% style and 1% substance - even when it is intentional. Sadly, Kill Bill is in the same vein as Pulp Fiction. It's only truly enjoyable when you can understand its pop culture references. That said, I always appreciate the diversity and consistent quality of her reactions.

2024-01-10 11:44:21 +0000 UTC"Because they copy each other" Yes! I've been screaming this for a while now. Why have the 50th reaction to The Fifth Element when there are so many good movies out there that get no love.
Mike Lemon
2024-01-10 11:29:12 +0000 UTCI'm so looking forward to Star Trek IV and the rest of the original cast films, now that III (still a good film mind) is out of the way, they just get better and better for me. I won't be bothering with Kill BIll as I've never seen it and don't have any interest in doing so but then that's what makes your approach to this Popcorn in bed idea so perfect. You cover films of all genre so there is something for everyone. Looking forward seeing what the mystery film is :-) Take care Cassie and Carly.

2024-01-10 10:59:35 +0000 UTCYeah a bit shame I had a patreon (I'm a bit on and off, really, depending if there's something good) and I forgot to cancel it despite knowing that I won't like December lineup. Don't really care for Star Trek or christmasy movies More classics and highly rated movies would be great. The world is full of so many high quality movies. Most of us (me included) never see ALL the good films in our lifetime. Because we were distracted watching something else, and before you know it life is over Finding all the greatest films is not easy... not all of them are well-known. Some require subtitles (as great as Hollywood is, not all the greatest films were made in USA). Reaction channels don't cover even half of them, not even half of the good Hollywood ones. Because they copy each other My fav recent reactions have been "The Game" and "Inside Man". Great films that aren't on every reaction channel
Banned by CineBinge, for no reason. 1 day after purcasing Patreon.. FU
2024-01-10 10:56:37 +0000 UTCSomeone may have said this already but with 137 comments I couldn't check them all out. You should do Kill Bill vol. 2 soon right after as this is not a sequel but literally the same movie. When Tarantino was making the movie it ended up at around 4 hours, too long for one movie but too much to cut out so he opted to split it up into two movies.
Andrew Roach
2024-01-10 09:51:07 +0000 UTCOnce Upon A Time has a real life people in it. What she said at the end of that reaction I do that to I often let my mind play what if Sharon had lived? What if. I have friends in Hollywood who like me often wonder that. Jackie has violence against women. Like me, I don't think she would like it.

2024-01-10 09:37:40 +0000 UTCAfter watching Kill Bill 1 and hopefully 2, you will need a palate cleanser. Treat Carly and yourself to a good Rom com. 2024-01-10 08:28:17 +0000 UTCIt not only won the poll relatively comfortably*, but it was in third place on the requests app. Which just goes to prove, we patrons love David Hasselhoff! Sorry, I meant: Matthew McConaughey. * Granted, some of that might well have been an anti- Kill Bill vote.

2024-01-10 08:25:29 +0000 UTCI read that your committed but a little nervous for "Kill Bill". Understandable, we may all be ever so slightly nervous for your reaction lol. For comfort, I found that past the flashes of visual cruelty is a massive career epic performance by Uma Thurman. In this film, she joins a very short list of female actors who crumble the notion that a petite beautiful female cannot play a strong assertive lead role. Tarantino has no shortage of strong female characters in his films but Uma Thurman tops this list, revealing herself as an unwavering female renegade in a performance that should be seen as historical in Cinema.
Kevin Kuma
2024-01-10 08:23:02 +0000 UTCWas Contact a poll winner? I didn’t think anyone really cared about that movie. It was hardly a huge hit or a “cult” favorite.

2024-01-10 08:02:52 +0000 UTCCassie, will you be watching just the winner of the YT poll, or top two? I'm still puzzled by I ROBOT winning by a landslide. Also, even though RONIN has been disqualified, it is a real underrated hidden gem worthy of attention. I am excited for KILL BILL VOL 1, but also worried a bit. Although still leaning towards that you will hopefully enjoy the story. Fair warning, it will probably be the most violent and gory movie on the channel so far, although its depiction is so over the top that it becomes unrealistic and cartoonish. Also, this is just the first part of the story which is concluded in VOL 2, and I am confident you will have a much easier time with that. A fun surprise movie with Carly. I have no idea, but secretly hoping for STARDUST. 😄

2024-01-10 06:38:38 +0000 UTCAckshooaly, she put it on the poll only because we put it in the top 50 in the requests app. So we don't get to play Pontius*. :-) Substantively, I will sit in the middle on my moderate sensible comfy chair and let you and jdj pull in your respective directions. While gibing and snarking about any decision. :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDM_96X40BU [Ackshooaly, that is precisely what we would be doing. :-) ]

2024-01-10 06:25:05 +0000 UTCGiven the YouTube poll, howzabout "3 hommes et un couffin" (1985)? :-) [Explanation: It's the original of Three Men and a Baby.] [ADDED:] For the Francophobic among us, let me clarify that "couffin" is French for crib*. It is not that the French version of the movie is incredibly dark. :-) *Not entirely etymologically surprising.

2024-01-10 06:17:55 +0000 UTCAmen. I hold Babylon 5 in very high regard, but I would hesitate recommending it for a reaction for this very reason. There are some other channels I've lost touch with because they've decided (as is their perfect right) to follow 2-3 shows/series which I'm not particularly interested in but which practically monopolize their channel. Cassie has obviously not been as bad (IMO), but this is something to beware.

2024-01-10 06:15:55 +0000 UTCKevin, it could be worse. He could be demanding that Cassie show him love! :-)

2024-01-10 05:47:33 +0000 UTCIt was Cassie who put it the poll, we just voted for it. And we didn't even vote for It: Chapter One, Cassie did that for us. So to my fellow PiB fans with an aversion to violent films (for whatever reason), time to get over it.
Richard Maurer
2024-01-10 05:46:16 +0000 UTCI remain upset with my fellow PiB fans for putting Kill Bill on this list. I am aware that Cassie is a grownup making these decisions for herself but I also know that she can't afford to ignore its high numbers. Sigh. I look forward to Star Treks 4 and 6 and really hope 5 doesn't sour you on the whole Enterprise.

2024-01-10 05:35:56 +0000 UTCDon't sweat it Cassie. I know that eventually you will opt for a classic film. For now, just be you. That is what we all stay here for. Just you!

2024-01-10 02:50:06 +0000 UTCYes, Cassie, Christmas does feel like a long time ago. Christmas and New Years Day are only one week apart, yet it feels like a whole month passes by in that time.

2024-01-10 02:26:30 +0000 UTCI’ve seen a lot of guesses for The Surprise, and I do think it could be a runner-up from the recent top 50 poll, I do think Pleasentville or Bill and Ted are the best guesses. Won’t be Oppenheimer. Could be Stargate. Or Bringing Up Baby. :)
Mike LL
2024-01-10 02:22:00 +0000 UTCCassie, it means a great deal to this classic movie fan that you even mentioned us and just the fact that you even mentioned us makes my day, my week, and my month! Thank you so very very much for all that you do and I am behind you all the way! ( P. S.: Watch Bringing Up Baby, you and Carly will love it!)

2024-01-10 02:18:29 +0000 UTCSorry, I’m too much of an Issac Asimov fan to do that, but unfortunately, a movie titled I Robot was not made for me (the huge Issac Asimov fan!).

2024-01-10 01:31:18 +0000 UTCPoor Cassie. It is indeed impossible to please everyone. There isn't a single movie or TV show / series that everyone will unanimously be enthusiastic about. It simply doesn't exist. Heck, I have relatives that don't like It's a Wonderful Life. "Too slow" they say. For me, that's crazy talk but I have to try and remember it's their opinion and to I need to respect it and do my best to roll with it. I understand Star Trek isn't for everybody. I get it. Just like horror month isn't for everybody. Cassie does such a tremendous job doing what she does.

2024-01-10 01:30:13 +0000 UTCYou've had an excellent channel for a long time, it's very diverse and you do your best to accommodate so many different voices. Thumbs up and big smiles for all the work you're doing, we all appreciate it.

2024-01-10 01:08:36 +0000 UTCThree Men and a Baby has always been my low-key choice if I ever won a contest and got to pick the movie. If a very sophisticated AI had to pick the perfect movie for Cassie (romcoms excluded), I have to think 3MAB would be it.
Brian Harris
2024-01-10 00:57:42 +0000 UTCI love how you’re trying to make everyone in the PIB community happy, Cassie. But I learned a long time ago that you can’t please everyone all the time. As much as we would all love for you to watch the movies each one of us likes the best, and as much as we would love for you to respond to each one of our comments, that would be an unreasonable expectation. After all, I for one joined your community because I have so much fun watching your reactions and I love your commentary and your personality. And if you happen to watch one of my favorite movies, that’s a bonus! I think you are more than fair at trying to watch a variety of movies with the polls and the surveys that you post. You started this channel to broaden your movie genre experiences, and I am all for doing the same. Just keep doing what you’re doing…there’s a reason why you have 350K subscribers! 😁

2024-01-10 00:18:51 +0000 UTCYeaahhhh… I really don’t know what to say about that. Or actually an image just popped into my head. I’m imagining going back to my Mom’s house to get the DVD, but instead of it being a DVD, it’s an old Piggy Bank. There are 5 old Piggy Banks in my closet that I forgot about. 4 of them have varying amounts of larger coins still in them, except for one. The I, Robot one… which only has Pennies in it.

Richard Maurer
2024-01-10 00:17:18 +0000 UTCI think the problem with things like Star Trek is not that people don't like them, it's that there is so much of it. I've seen a lot of Trek, but I have no desire to watch it all again and all the time devoted to it is time more variety could be watched. I was loving that brief time between series when we were getting three very different movies a week. I didn't watch all of them, but there was always the chance. With Trek I know I'm skipping the show episodes, skipping all the movies except 2 and one or two scenes in 4, and will skip everything if it continues into TNG. So far, Trek has been, what, 1/3 of content for the last month and a half? It's a lot.

2024-01-10 00:08:47 +0000 UTCThank you for the update, Cassie. Please do not stress over what we say about what we want you to watch, you bring a lot of joy to us for what you do. I like how you mix things up, and doing the top 50 polls are fun. Maybe you should take it further and do another poll where you select numbers 101-150 & 151-200, make it more interesting. I'm excited for another Butter chat and another Trivia night where I can lose again. I am super excited for the 3rd annual Poppies. I will be posting my Poppies Wish List of nominees sometime soon. I've broken down every category, and I will compile which reactions that I hope get nominated. These will not be PREDICTIONS, just what I'm hoping for. Just so you know, I base all of this on your REACTIONS, not on what my favorites movies are. Cassie, keep doing what you love. Your happiness is our happiness.

2024-01-10 00:08:00 +0000 UTCThe movie is a freakin’ cartoon. The book is for adults. It’s thought provoking. The movie bears little resemblance to the book and not only isn’t thought provoking but thinking is discouraged.

2024-01-10 00:06:07 +0000 UTCExcited for Star Trek IV! Hope Kill Bill isn't too much for you(they even switch the movie to black-and-white during one scene to avoid an NC-17 from the ratings board because of all the blood and violence).

2024-01-10 00:02:16 +0000 UTCI honestly like "I, Robot" a lot. I think the key to appreciating it is to mentally disassociate it from the book it's titled after. (And maybe also not get hung up on the previous movies by Alex Proyas which were more aesthetically unique.) When compared to other Will Smith vehicles around the same time period, "I,Robot" is a step above - provoking more thought than MiB/Independence Day, with an added touch of noir.

2024-01-09 23:38:12 +0000 UTCCassie, you do a FAB job of balancing and exploring everything there is to offer (imo). It's impossible to please so many people all of the time because of how varied opinions are about all the movies, genres, decades, and more. What is important is that you EXPERIENCE it all for yourself! I fully believe that the majority of people are patient and kind and know that for every week of reactions that isn't quite up their alley, something that IS will be right around the corner. And you should be proud that you have a lot of people here that will still watch a movie they don't care for that much just to see YOUR reaction to it. And maybe experiencing it with you makes them like the movie a little more than they did? The survey will be great to get a birds eye view on what the community at large is looking for and thinking. Anyway keep on keeping on and being you! Always so happy to be part of this space with everyone else. 😊

2024-01-09 23:31:48 +0000 UTCHey Cassie, I'm excited for Star Trek 4(my favorite) I think it will probably be yours to at least for the original cast. But I could be wrong. Also voted for Three Men And A Baby. You'd definitely love it. I'm guessing Pleasantville for the surprise 🤞and of course I love the lives and trivia nights. I haven't missed one since I found this channel. You've done a great job balancing what everyone wants. Not everyone will be happy all the time but you give everyone something. There have been many days where sitting and watching a movie with you was the only thing I had to look forward to that day. So thank you again for bringing so much joy just being yourself. My mom has a heart ablation on Friday morning that's making me very nervous😬😪 everything I read and everyone keeps saying it's a relatively minor procedure but it's my mom so I'm a nervous wreck. 🤞everything will be great. I hope you find a way out of the January blues. It's actually been the warmest winter here I can remember( Michigan ) mostly 40's with even some 50's. Right now freezing rain so😒 wishing you a great week.

2024-01-09 23:30:56 +0000 UTCI let my subscription lapse last month and just signed back up for the TOS Star Trek movies, and Kill Bill, and Sneakers, and I Robot and Spider-Man and maybe to rewatch your Last of Us reactions, it was such a great show. If you put together a poll for a new series, I would like to suggest Arcane again, I think it would be awesome for you and Carly to watch it together since it is a lovely little show about 2 sisters, and still only 1 season right now, just 9 episodes, at least until season 2 comes out in Nov.

2024-01-09 23:25:22 +0000 UTCCurious what the surprise movie is. Can't wait to find out. STAR TREK IV you will just love. I promise you that. It's a delight from start to finish. Not sure what you will think of KILL BILL, VOL. 1. The violence may be a bit much for you, but I could see you becoming emotionally invested in the story and the main character. If you get to the final scene and want to know what happens next (since it's sequel is essentially just like the second half of one long movie), I would consider it a successful watch. A little disappointed that the winner of the YT poll is I, ROBOT which I do not think is a good movie. Not absolutely terrible perhaps, but easily the worst of all the titles you pulled. I was hoping for DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS because I think that is a hilarious film that you will really enjoy, but maybe some other time. Keep up the good work. Love your new in-home theater. Hope that get a chance to watch some truly spectacular and awe-inspiring cinematic masterpieces (like LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, APOCALYPSE NOW and 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY) down there. :-)

2024-01-09 23:24:54 +0000 UTCYour next ‘Action Movie’ poll should include 13th Warrior (Antonio Banderas), Pathfinder (Karl Urban), Taken (Liam Neeson), Last of the Mohicans (Daniel Day-Lewis), Man from Snowy River (Kirt Douglas), Soldier (Kirt Russell)… just a few…

2024-01-09 23:21:26 +0000 UTCKeep up the good work. I’m one of the old geezers who think Star Trek is awesome. I started watching Star Trek in 1966. I think you have a very good mix of movie that you watch. I was inspired to watch a few movie I would not normally watch.

2024-01-09 23:20:14 +0000 UTCIt's impossible to please everyone at once when it comes to movie selection, but you do a great job having an incredibly diverse range of choices and balancing between what you know you love and venturing outside your traditional comfort zone. And I think everyone is incredibly appreciative of that.

2024-01-09 23:20:01 +0000 UTCThank you, Cassie. Keep up the good work. Kill Bill (Volumes 1 and 2) are very interesting movies and will keep you hooked till the end credits. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but they are now classics in their own right and fun to watch. You might be nervous now, but I bet you’ll be excited by the end of Volume 1 to jump immediately to watch Volume 2. Cheers!

2024-01-09 23:18:51 +0000 UTCYou're doing fine, Cassie! I was a HUGE Star Trek fan as a kid, and I love how you are liking it. There is an episode of Deep Space 9 that you should watch. You can watch it without knowing anything about it, just gonna say it involves time travel and tribbles. It's called "Trials and Tribblations". I can't watch a reaction to a movie I haven't seen, so you are also expanding my movie watching universe, so thank you for that!

2024-01-09 23:18:44 +0000 UTCKill Bill, huh? It’s a classic for sure, so it’s going to be a great reaction! (Carly probably needs to be out-of-sight and earshot for that one) And Star Trek: The Voyager Home! Possibly the BEST in-theater experience with an audience I’ve ever had. No really!

2024-01-09 23:18:19 +0000 UTCHi Cassie, I was curious if after watching a couple episodes of Star Trek for the channel you started watching the show in your own time just for yourself?

2024-01-09 23:16:55 +0000 UTCKill Bill! I'm looking forward to how Cassie reacts to this one, that's for sure. I think she'll appreciate it for what it is, but it probably won't be her favorite movie ever haha

2024-01-09 23:16:49 +0000 UTCLoving your Star Trek reactions, Cassie! ST IV is a hoot. Kill Bill is a bit much, but just think of the violence as cartoonish, like RoboCop, and you will be fine.

2024-01-09 23:16:18 +0000 UTCI'm pretty sure every other movie on that poll is better than I, Robot.

2024-01-09 23:15:38 +0000 UTCHmmm, I wonder what the surprise could be? Kill Bill is a awesome movie. Not as good as Once Upon A Time In Hollywood or Pulp Fiction but much better then Jackie Brown.
