In between filming his two Star Wars prequels, Hayden Christensen gave a very good performance in Shattered Glass (2003). It is based on the true story of New Republic journalist Stephen Glass (whom Hayden portrays) that was exposed of either partially or entirely fabricating many of the articles that he wrote in his career, at least 27 out the 41 New Republic articles that he wrote! It's a very good film!

2024-01-03 00:09:32 +0000 UTCI always felt bad for the way Jake & Hayden were treated. They did what they were asked to do. It's just a shame that a lot of Star Wars fans are toxic to the actors when they're just doing their jobs.

2024-01-02 01:26:30 +0000 UTCCan't say I've experienced that, and I can't say I envy you. :-) (Another relevant song: R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet.) I used to semi-follow and enjoy FunnyLilGal until (like some other reactors) she started focusing mostly on TV shows that I am not currently interested in. (As is their perfect right, of course.) I think the last reaction of hers I watched was to Serenity, which she "enjoyed" even less than Cassie. :-)

2024-01-01 02:15:02 +0000 UTCWell, it is a scary situation when you find out someone is engaged, and you're lying in bed with them. Some highlights: Ducking out of the basement and keeping my head low while sprinting to the car. Hearing a boyfriend ram his shoulder into the front door of an apartment repeatedly. A fiance disappearing into the darkness of the house and turning all the lights off except the fish tank, leaving me to wonder if he was going to emerge from the darkness to stab me. Not only was she engaged but pregnant. I hustled out of that house like my arse was on fire.

2023-12-31 20:59:34 +0000 UTCLove the pajamas Cassie! They look real comfy. Its been awhile since I saw this movie, so it was so much fun watching it with you again. You’re right, Arnold does have pretty good range as an actor, and i’ve come to realize I like him a lot better as a comedic actor than as a action hero. BTW…Myron the mailman is Sinbad. He’s better known as a stand up comedian, so you may have seen one of his shows. He was also in the football movie Necessary Roughness. Thank you for another fun reaction. Happy New Year to and your family, and Happy New Year to the entire PIB community! 🎉🥂

2023-12-31 19:20:45 +0000 UTCSeeing Jake Lloyd in this, very shortly before his life was permanently ruined by the backlash to his performance in The Phantom Menace (1999), I find very tragic. There is a very interesting interview with one of the two child actors that auditioned with him at the final stage of casting Anakin Skywalker.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0hqnMUi3NA Also there is a 2017 interview with Mark Hamill where he states that he is still angry at the way Jake Lloyd was treated https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFu2IFdjCaw

2023-12-31 06:35:30 +0000 UTCClarence Carter's classic in the genre is obviously "I Got Caught." The single version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpGBNSZFibo (The "shame and sin" line is classic.) The man is an entertaining performer. A live version I can find is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GTzz18aHaA (To understand 1-2 jokes, note that CC is blind.) If you want to know why I am spreading such debauchery on this wholesome channel, it is solely because I was prompted by the very last notes of the live version. :-)

2023-12-31 06:18:20 +0000 UTCThe beginning of this movie is breaking my heart. I hope that the trauma caused by his absent dad does not cause this poor innocent child to turn evil.

2023-12-31 04:51:17 +0000 UTCCabbage Patch Kids were all the rage back in the mid 80s. People definitely lost their minds over those dolls. I kinda figured that this movie was somewhat inspired by the fanaticism that surrounded those dolls.

2023-12-31 02:07:07 +0000 UTCGlad you’re feeling better. If you need to YouTuber to watch when you get sick, I recommend FunnyLilGal reacts. Although you and Carly are my go-to for all rough occasions. I severely dislike the character Ted who goes after everyone’s wives. I have had my share of women who lied about their relationship status, and found myself needing to escape a house or apartment from an angry boyfriend or fiancé. But I never intended to be in those situations. This show was decent, and it had a good message, but I prefer The Ref to show the greed of people at Christmas. When an armed robber gets to tell your family what’s up; it’s a hilarious situation, and Denis Leary was perfect for the role. Who’s Minding the Mint is an another heist movie classic. Brilliant script but older film. And the Ma and Pa Kettle movies are brilliant comedy.
