I watched this movie once, about 15 years ago, and didn't remember much except bits and pieces of the beauty pageant. I enjoyed this rewatch. Such good acting across the board. The 4 Oscar nonimations (won 2) well-deserved -- nominated for Best Picture, and Abigal Breslin won Oscar Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role. When I see Abigal Breslin (born April 1996), I always recall that she is nearly identical age as my daughter (born May 1996).

'Miranda's Victim' just got added to my watch list. I have always wondered about who Miranda was and what she did and why she needed her own law. I had not heard of the movie, so I just looked it up. First of all, from the previews, it looks really, really good. The preview also clears up a rather important misconception I've always had regarding Miranda. I hope having that cleared up by the preview doesn't spoil the movie any. I suspect it won't but I will not clarify that any farther for anyone else who hasn't seen it.

Cool, congrats on your opinion

My Christmas present to Cassie: a hidden masterpiece starring Kevin Costner (his first role), Judd Nelson (his first role, and Sam Robards (his first role). FANDANGO 1985

Cassie saying she really admired little Abigail Breslin is perfectly understandable, as Cassie said she's seen 'Definitely, Maybe' in the past. I feel the same way. But now, little Abigail is all grown up, and she stared in a great new-2023 movie that though may be too serious and uncomfortable for for Cassie... I want to mention it's a true story, it's a heroic woman's story and the events covered here changed American law. Based on her previous legal suspense reacts, I recommend and would encourage Cassie to react to the intense crime drama; 'Miranda's Victim'.

Little Abigail Breslin. She was so adorable in Signs. Grew up to be kinda hot too

Offbeat. I liked it but I would never recommend it to Cassie.

I totally agree! I love her smile and laugh.

Like I said it was like Batman only in that there aren't any super powers it's all just regular people. I wasn't really trying to give away much more than that

Cassie, growing up, I had a list of what you might call non-conventional movies. LMS is just one of them, another is the 1971 film, "Harold and Maude". Just sayin....💛

I second the recommendation for Super. Don’t get the Batman comparison though. I’d describe it as a world where superheroes don’t exist but an idiot decides to be a super hero anyway. But it is hilarious and very unfairly overlooked. I think people think it’s a comic book movie but it really isn’t.

I was never really a fan of this movie. I actually find it quite depressing even though it has some funny moments. Enjoyed the reaction though

If you want an AMAZING hidden gem, Super (2010) with Dwight Shrute Ellen Page and a few others is so good. It's a "super hero" movie more like Batman only in that there aren't any super powers whatsoever. It's weird that it ended up being a hidden gem, I love it so much I still watch it once or twice a year

I am sure I have mentioned this before, but it bears repeating. I love Cassie's reactions to comedies more than any other category. She has such a beautiful laugh when she is watching a comedy she is digging. It is so genuine and actually brightens up my day. We should be recommending more comedies for her and Carly to watch.

Cassie laugh-crying ❤️

a great largely unknown independent movie Twenty Bucks it is a 1993 American comedy-drama film directed by Keva Rosenfeld and starring Linda Hunt, Brendan Fraser, Gladys Knight, Elisabeth Shue, Steve Buscemi, Christopher Lloyd, William H. Macy, David Schwimmer, Shohreh Aghdashloo and Spalding Gray. The film follows the travels of a $20 bill from its delivery via armored car in an unnamed American city through various transactions and incidents from person to person.
