Thanks girls. Your genuine empathetic reaction to this movie warmed my heart. My photo is dated. I'm an older divorced guy so maybe it's possible I can find love again too ... but not with anyone resemblng Ann Margaret. FYI Jack Lemon's grandson went to my son's private school. His character claims to be 68? Try 80-ish. His daughter is played by Daryl Hannah who once dated John Kennedy Jr. Daryl's breakthrough role was playing a mermaid in "Splash" where her love interest was a very young Tom Hanks. You may want to react to that film. Search the trailer. EDIT: Just saw you already did. Now I'll watch.

We had one when I was very young, followed by a Scout Traveler. Both valuable collectors if you can find one still running.

2023-11-24 17:37:00 +0000 UTCThe Odd Couple, yes! It was such a good movie they made a TV series. In the 1950-70s Lemmon, Matthau, and Anne Margret were big stars. Margret had a steamy affair with Elvis when they shot Viva Las Vegas. Matthau was also really great in the original Bad News Bears.

Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau (you're right he was the neighbor Mr. Wilson for the Dennis the Menace movie) teamed up for "Grumpier Old Men" which is at least as entertaining and fun, because this time Max gets the new girl in town Sophia Loren! Lemmon and Matthau did mutiple movies together starting with "The Odd Couple" many years ago. They always play off each other in fine fashion.

It would be a perfect pick for next year’s scary but not too scary. Davis plays John F. Kennedy, dyed black and salted away in a nursing home after the failed assassination attempt in Dallas. He’s teamed up with Elvis Presley (the Bubba in Bubba Ho-Tep) to protect their fellow nursing home residents against supernatural forces. It’s a classic.

A younger (but still playing a grumpy old man) Walter Matthau alongside George Burns in the excellent The Sunshine Boys (1975). Jack Lemmon together with, well, Walter Matthau in The Odd Couple (1968). (Neil Simon again.) The two collaborated in many movies.
