Stan, I assume that you're referring to my "Yes, but" comment. 1. If you're going to respond to a 2-week old comment, it would be courteous of you to reply directly to it so that I am notified. 2. Given it's been two weeks, that's more than enough time to reflect on my comment. Either you completely misunderstood it (Hint: review the last two sentences), or you are being hypocritical. It's like if Dick Cheney were running for president and what he did on/after 9/11 was an issue in the election, and the movie United 93 came out in that environment. The movie isn't controversial. It doesn't make excuses for the administration; it doesn't heap blame on the administration; it doesn't really address the bigger picture and aftermath at all. Why the movie is seemingly controversial in 2023, I don't know. I can only assume that people haven't seen it. But what you're doing here is wildly inappropriate. I can't imagine that "no political discussion" means that it's fine for one person to spin a 20,000 word Wikipedia page into a sweeping and misleading political statement, relying on no one challenging it so that it doesn't become a discussion.

And that is the reason for the whole controversy: people were outraged that it went to such great lengths to gaslight us and absolve a senior Democrat from blame for the deaths of American heroes. That this left-wing Hollywood propaganda came out when memories were still so fresh and when Hillary had the gall to run for president really stuck in all true patriots' craws. Conversely, that's why you'll find those America-hating liberals all breathlessly praising this film. Did I get that right? :-)
