Another great reaction to one of my childhood favorites.

Ramah Mustangs

First time watching. Hated it. Some mixed genres work. This didn't in my opinion. But that's just me.

Paul Rich

And three years after Adventures in Babysitting (1987) it was used again in Martin Scorsese's gangster classic Goodfellas (1990) in the iconic Copacabana scene!

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

Since you liked Elizabeth Shue in this check out her and Tom Cruse together in Cocktail

James Rex

Elizabeth Shue looked way too old to be 17 here, but now she looks way too young to be....however old she is. 😍

Bill W

20:41 Clark Johnson from The Wire!

Social media bad!? The irony 😆 Good luck securing yourself a Gen Z babysitter. Thanks Cassie. Brilliant watch 👏

Hey Cas! Not sure if you get around to reading all of these, but I think everyone else on here will probably appreciate this little story. The case/poster art for Adv. in Babysitting was done by the amazing Drew Struzan, one of the last great posters artists. I actually got to interview him for a paper I was righting while in art school. He shared several great stories including how he had to change (almost) the entire poster at the last minute. He did several small sketches and then after getting one approved, went and painted the finished art @ 30’x40’ in. Done and turned in, he gets a call from the studio, they love it but they want him to remove the full moon (the orig. had a moon over the peoples shoulders), and make the NYC skyline bigger. This is early 80’s, no digital software, no photoshop, nothing of the sort. Luckily Drew paints on heavy duty illustration board, which is basically multiple layers of art paper glued and pressed into a board. So anyway, the solution?…..he cuts out the top several layers of the actors and the stone wall (imagine like peeling an onion or orange), REPAINTS a whole new background and then pastes the foreground characters and wall onto the new background. For the love of art and film right?

The 80s were my teen era, so all these kinda movies just feel like home. Like Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles etc. Although, I do remember living in the shadow of a possible nuclear war and seeing tv programmes about what to do in case of one… so maybe the 80s is a bit rose tinted spectacles lol

Ria Grix

"Did they sing the blues though?"😂

BRT

And Brian McKenzie in Father of the Bride, Annie’s groom. Also “The Yeti” on Friends

Cole Jennett

She knows Penelope Ann Miller from The Kindergarten Cop

Shawn Kildal

In the Superman Animated series, yes. But in the Justice League animated and Justice League Unlimited series no.

Shawn Kildal

Wasn't Tim Daly (Wings) the voice of Superman? edit- Looked it up, Daly was the Superman series and a lot of movies, Newbern was Justice League and a lot of movies. I never really noticed the difference.

Mike Lemon

Thanks as always, Cassie. You're probably booked up for "Tender November," but if not - two suggestions: FINDING NEVERLAND with Johnny Depp and Kate Winslett and TIN CUP with your silver screen bf Kevin Costner and Rene Russo. Cheers!

Above Average Dave

Try "Year of the Comet" with Penelope Ann Miller . She was the girl at the bus station 😀

Johnny Salinas

The Crystals did the song Then He Kissed Me. I always loved that one. We just don't get great songs like that anymore.

Shawn Kildal

I think I’m one of the few people who didn’t really like Elizabeth Shue. She was in some great films though. This is an enjoyable enough film and it was nostalgic fun watching this.

Don

The real superhero was the guy who kissed the babysitter at the end of the movie. The actor is George Newbern who was the voice of Superman in the Justice League Animated series.

Shawn Kildal

Penelope Ann Miller (Brenda) is in a movie called The Relic. Very good thriller movie set in a museum in the 90’s. Keep it in mind. You’ll like it.

ChristopherTracy

I love this movie!!!

Diana Quijano

Elizabeth Shue was also Daniel LaRusso's first girlfriend in the first Karate Kid movie, even before Back To The Future II! I loved this movie back then when I was younger and I love it still. Simple, great storyline and great job all around. AND I just learned it was filmed partly in Chicago and partly in Toronto.

Jason Jardine

This is a surprise! I like so many other 80’s kids, was Gaga over Elizabeth Shue. Props to the channel for picking this. And I had no idea that it was Vincent D’Onofrio as the shop guy.

Trevor Rotan

The 80's were fun! Lack of social media? I mean come on, the Internet was not even really available for regular people until like '93 or '94. Being born in 1975, I did not experience the 80's as a teenager until the last two years. My brother did being born in 1970.

Matt O'Keefe

"Superhero babysitter." You have no idea how right you were, Cassie.

Stick Figure Studios

Fun surprise! One 80s movie that’s got some laughs but is definitely more dramatic is Cocktail with Tom Cruise and Elizabeth Shue. You might like that one too.

Jason Pratt

I love that YouTube is being such a jerk that the YouTube edit has to be hosted on the Patreon player. Again, suggesting that Rumble get a test run.

Mike Lemon

Excellent video! 💙

james flack

I think it’s time you finally watch the movie that put Schwarzenegger on the map. Made him a household name. Conan the barbarian.

Michael Lynch

Holy mackerel, I wasn't expecting to see this today! Hope to join in on the premiere later today, can't wait 😁

Wesley White

Unofficial MCU film with thor hahaha
