[YT Edit] It (2017)

Hey guys! Here is the YT edit for "It" which will premiere shortly. Hope you enjoy!

Here is the full reaction to this movie.

[YT Edit] It (2017)

Comments

Right. So you're just admitting you're pushing your own agenda and don't care about the facts. Got it.

Richard Maurer

I don’t care… why is this concept so hard for you people?

Cliff Stephenson

IT is a HORROR MOVIE. It's supposed to make you scared and uncomfortable. Why is this concept so hard for you people?

Richard Maurer

You dial it back. Cassie needs you to advise her? Get over yourself. And people with your mindset advising her on horror movies would be like me advising her on rom-coms. She got through IT just fine, she was affected in just the way she was meant to be. I know this will come as a shock - HORROR MOVIES ARE MEANT TO SCARE PEOPLE. I know this concept is hard for some, but a horror movie that doesn't scare anyone is a failure, not something to be applauded. If anyone should be advising her on horror films it should be me and my fellow horror fans here, but I wouldn't seriously suggest that, of course.

Richard Maurer

Lord. Last I checked, I was simply saying *I* didn’t enjoy the reaction because *I* didn’t feel that her experience (which seemed uncomfortable) was the fun ‘Scary, But Not Too Scary’ type of reaction I like from PIB. It’s the people who clearly loved watching her seem so uncomfortable that feel this bizarre need to defend themselves. I can’t imagine why. If you enjoyed her reaction, own it. I don’t understand the compulsion to have to justify it as something else to total strangers.

Cliff Stephenson

Lord. Last I checked, Cassie is a grown-ass woman and can make her own decisions. She did the hard work of doing the reaction, so I'm gonna watch it.

Arki Kali

Loved your reaction, and you should be proud--you made it through! It's a SCARY scary movie, so that's something to brag about. You can do Chapter 2 next October. 😉

Arki Kali

ADVISORY board. Dial it back sparky. Lol

Brent Fugett

And the people criticizing the “too much Cassie” people are realizing they get a perverse thrill out of watching a woman uncomfortable and clearly upset by what she’s watching. I simply felt this one wasn’t as fun as many of her other reactions, but that’s only because I don’t get a thrill out of watching a woman look pained for 45 minutes. I’m weird that way, but I’m also comfortable with that.

Cliff Stephenson

Yes, Cassie needs a board of patrons to tell her what she can or cannot watch. Do you people even realize what you sound like? She and her team can make those determinations without you trying to control her (for her own good, of course /s}.

Richard Maurer

The "too much for Cassie" people are realizing they're not able to control what Cassie watches and that's what's really bothering them. Now when anyone says a horror movie is "too much" all we have to do is mention IT.

Richard Maurer

I hope this puts an end to the "too much for Cassie" comments. She handled this, she can handle any mainstream horror movie. I plan on bringing this up whenever someone says a horror movie is too much for her.

Richard Maurer

Glad you called for reinforcements.

Bert Towle

I'm right there with you. Suspense is lately often replaced by gore, they disgust and bore me more than actually scaring me. 🤔 Terror movies again I try to avoid, because they make me feel sick, physically and emotionally.

silverarrow06

I honestly don’t care anymore. I don’t have the time. I didn’t enjoy the reaction and watching her so obviously uncomfortable was difficult for me. Others clearly enjoyed it. I just don’t care anymore.

Cliff Stephenson

Again, what makes you think, anyone here could "talk her" into watching anything? 🤔 And thanx for quoting me out of context and ignoring the rest of my statement. Always a nice way to discuss different opinions. I didn't say you have too much compassion, I said you took it too far, because you're attacking everyone that dares not to think or feel like you on behalf of someone who you assume was pressured into watching something she didn't want to, what simply isn't true. And to answer your question in your initial post: Cassie herself thought "It" was a good movie to react to. 😉

silverarrow06

Cool… maybe you can talk Cassie into watching Irreversible for Valentine’s Day. Wouldn’t that be FUN to watch her react?!?

Cliff Stephenson

This movie didn’t win a poll, she chose this, to a lot of our surprise, on her own. I’m sure it was suggested by some for October, but it wasn’t near the top on the popcorn requests list, as far as I know.

Cole Jennett

that's a classic and very fun movie!

Walter

Personally, I don't recall ever finding clowns particularly enjoyable, but I've never understood the quasi-phobia regarding them. (Word of the day: Coulrophobia.) Perhaps this phenomenon started after my formative years, or I simply wasn't exposed to the necessary (sub-) culture? (For instance, I don't remember ever seeing a clown painting in anybody's house, and I can't even imagine my grandparents having one. :-) ) TLDR: Clowns? Meh. :-) One thing I am grateful to clowns for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51B55OQysj8 (With one of my favourite couplets ever at 2:07) ADDED: If you don't love clowns, you'll undoubtedly love: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABD8u0PwXjQ

Happy Hanukkah

Right? Mimes are just annoying, but CLOWNS?? -Whether they're smiling or frowning, they're still creepy. Clarabell (Howdy Doody show- albeit before my time), Ronald McDonald... hell, even Bozo, Cookie and Wizzo I didn't trust 100%. I basically watched Bozo just for the Grand Prize Game and Batman cartoons.

Bill W

He's just a sweet transvestite!

Bill W

I think everyone's Grandparents had those clown paintings. It's hard to believe clowns or mimes were ever popular?

Barry Justice

This could lead us to a discussion of horror vs terror vs ... My own hobbyhorse is complaining about how the "horror movie" definition has evolved from "horror" to "gross-out," from movies evoking horror or even mere fright, to evoking nausea.

Happy Hanukkah

Yes, I enjoyed every single bit she was scared and uncomfortable. This is a REACTION channel. That is why I'm here. To watch her REACT. Cry, laugh, scream, jump, hide, smile... whatever. No need to try to protect her.

Philip Alan

You gotta see how it ends! That’s the best part… ❤️

Emily Coleman

I wouldn't go as far as ridiculing others for for suggesting this movie, but I do concur with the sentiment of trying to suggest movies that she would enjoy based on what we know she likes genre-wise.

Mario

I gathered my courage and watched the movie with the full reaction today. It was one of the most terrifying ones I've seen but I still think THE RING and EVENT HORIZON were more frightening for me. The tender and touching scenes with the kids balanced it out nicely. Found this article a couple of days ago: https://www.moneysupermarket.com/broadband/features/science-of-scare/ According to the "Science of Scare Project", IT is the 30th scariest movie according to their 2023 data set, measuring the scariness via heart rate monitors on the audience.

Gábor Árki

Growing up my aunt and uncle had these hobo clown paintings in their stairway that totally creeped out me and my cousins. If we had to go upstairs, we would race up them as fast as we could without looking at them. And that was back in the late 70s, before we had seen any "scary clown" movies etc.

Bill W

They should watch the original with Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart. Cassie said that Carly had already seen the Sabrina remake with Harrison Ford before Cassie had watched it on the channel.

Tim Raths

Skip the second one. Do a rewatch of 'Sabrina' with Carly to get you back on track.

David

I hope that you complete the story and see the second part.

Javier Hernandez

Well done for making it through this. I’m not a big horror fan myself and I struggled with this when I saw it at the cinema with some friends. It’s still a good film just really scary. Since I found your channel on YouTube I really liked that you wanted to push yourself and try new types of films that you wouldn’t have watched before. You definitely did that here. Hopefully you enjoyed it a little bit.

Don

“Too much compassion”- great… I will remember to mark that down as a character defect.

Cliff Stephenson

You take your compassion for Cassie way too far. What makes you think, her fans "made her" watch this movie? There were enough fans who warned her beforehand about the film and she chose to watch it anyway. Cassie is perfectly capable of deciding this for herself. If she truely doesn't want to watch any movie or show, she wouldn't do it, no matter what her viewers want or not. Besides she made it clear in the beginning that she chose the movie to push her boundaries a little more, something I always respect very much. 🙂

silverarrow06

I don't like horror movies in general and this one specifically but to be fair... this was not a poll or a recommendation, this one she chose to watch on her own so far as I can surmise. Some people enjoy being scared and they relive that "excitement" when watching a reaction to something they are already familiar with.. I don't think this should be confused with enjoying her being upset. And like Philip said, she was well aware of the kind of movie she was getting into, Cassie is a grown woman fully capable of turning off her dvd player at any time.

Andrew Rose

So you guys ENJOYED seeing her physically and emotionally uncomfortable throughout this? I didn’t find it fun and I knew the moment Georgie went outside that this was going to be a really rough go for her. I guess there’s just those of us who thought this movie was a bridge too far for her and those who enjoyed watching her be so upset.. As long as you’re comfortable with what camp you’re in and we don’t have to interact, we’ll all be fine.

Cliff Stephenson

He mixes it with love, and makes the world taste good. And now I'll mix vodka with tomato juice.

Happy Hanukkah

Calm yourself.

Jeffrey Schmidbauer

@Happy Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice!!!

Philip Alan

Yes, I love the story telling with the young ones. Very nicely written and directed. Boo to the bad adults. Yay for brave kids. "Why are they walking towards it!?!?!?!" Cassie is so right! haha.

Philip Alan

Oh, stop. She knew this wasn't a "not-so-scary" movie. She knew it. She has the power to say NO to any movie. She made the ADULT decision to go ahead and watch it. I enjoyed the reaction! Rock on, Cassie!

Philip Alan

Yeah…. This almost felt cruel to put her through.

Cliff Stephenson

It's the subject of demonology, she wants no part of it. :)

Celeste McAllister

Who the hell thought ‘’It’ was a good movie for Cassie?!? This isn’t scary… but not too scary. This movie is terrifying., full stop. I actually felt bad and couldn’t finish the reaction because it was so obviously painful and unpleasant for her. Popcorn fans really need to be a little more tuned into Cassie’s sensitivities when suggesting movies.

Cliff Stephenson

'Mona Lisa Smile'. 2003

Celeste McAllister

ARE YOU MAD‽ who in all the gods names suggested this was a ‘scary but not so scary’ movie? It’s bonkers scary!! It has children singing within the first thirty seconds for crying out loud, that alone is a strong NOPE! I live on my own so I know for a fact I’ll never watch this movie… ever! You are a brave soul Cassie.

Ria Grix

You know how wine tasters always rinse their mouth with water between different wines? You are in need of a palate cleanse after this one. A good, clean comedy! I recommend Support Your Local Sheriff with James Garner and Bruce Dern!

Chris

“Had nightmares of the poster!” ~the terrifying power of Tim Curry

Audrey

I haven't watched this video yet, but fun fact since I love rewatching your Clue reaction: the butler in that was Tim Curry, who also played Pennywise in the original 80s It.

Justin Lloyd

My friends and I got together with a bunch of horror movie critics. To rate the greatest horror movies of all time. The Exorcist came in at number #2 it could have been #1 but there are a lot of atheists out there as well as agnostics. It! came in at #29. While I agree IT has a lot more special effects than The Exorcist. Almost every horror critic out there will tell you The Exorcist was a much scarier film but I agree for agnostics and atheists. IT was probably much scarier.

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

"Rabbit Proof Fence".

james flack

Well Cassie, as promised I was there for you at the premiere of this reaction, to bad I couldn't send any super chats to you, that's a bummer lol! In spirit, I was holding your hand for moral support🤝 and giving you a BIG comforting hug 🤗 Sorry you had to go through with this movie again for us fans, you're such a brave and sweet and gentle soul! Love and support to you always! See you at the next premiere reaction, hopefully I can send super chats to you next time lol! Have a Happy and safe Halloween with the kids🎃🎃🎃 you're the best and God bless you, Carly and your family 🥰😁😉😇🙏👍🌹

Wesley White

True. She could use a board to screen movies for her. I don't want her scared for life from some crazy movies

Rick Williams

I've seen The Exorcist about 167 times, and it keep getting funnier every single time I see it.

Happy Hanukkah

I think you need an advisory board for recommending watch/don't watch. This would definitely be a don't. Right up there with Full Metal Jacket. There are some movies that don't mix. I'm so sorry you endured that. 😥

Brent Fugett

The Exorcist is nowhere near as horrifying or as graphic as this.

Eric

He was right lol

MatthewBrown74m

True Story: I just visited a relative that I had not seen in many years and she told me that my brother and I had traumatized her when she was a girl, by letting her watch "American Werewolf in London"!!! I apologized for it, but it goes to demonstrate the damage we can do without even realizing it.

Barry Justice

Anyone who quotes G.K. Chesterton deserves many, many likes!

Barry Justice

November🍁 means Feel Good/Heart Warming movie time! So, get your suggestions ready.

Barry Justice

So initially I thought this was scary, but I was reminded that movies that were scarier The Exorcist (1973), The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), The Strangers (2008). Then I watched the second one which kind of ruined the first one. It was just silly. I'm so glad Ben was there for you. You were traumatized I could tell. I really hated to see you in pain. That was worse than the scariest scenes in the movie.

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

Well done! I watched the 1st ever it when I was 10 years old and it has terrified me for absolute years! Can’t believe you put yourself though that! Bravo 🤣!

Jacob

Cassie I know this movie got to you so bad and your not the only one, it is more tragic because of the kids but kids cant run forever (even tho thats the most logical thing to do) but its like G.K. Chesterton wrote, “Fairy tales do not tell children dragons exist. Children already know the dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed.” they are scare of it but all they needed to know is that can stop it

MatthewBrown74m

I cannot believe you watched this! This is one of most mainstream, scariest films. I can't imagine if you actually got Carly to watch this! Just hitting play now!

Jason Jardine

No idea how this made the approved list.

David

Even though I'm at work, I'll be there in moral support for you Cassie! Ben and I will protect you lol🥰😇🙏🌹

Wesley White

Well, Halloween is here, so I guess this is the last of the horror movie reactions. Which means that once again, you won't have reacted to Nature Trail to Hell (in 3-D). 😢 Oh well, maybe we can have a watch-along on Christmas!

Happy Hanukkah

" The Searchers "

Bill Maurer

I'm not a fan of horror movies but, this was a good scary movie with some actual substance to it.

Jeffrey Schmidbauer

There's at least two Poppy nominations for best jump scare.😲Halloween is tonight👻💀 Thank God for November🍁

Celeste McAllister

To say your not a fan of the genre your one brave lady . 👏👏👏

LDC7080

Looks like she actually finished it. I'm proud of you!
