The Fly has a gross factor. Gore, and grotesque visuals. Disturbing to look at for many.

I love Mars Attacks! I saw that film when it was first released in cinemas way back in 1996. I think that film would be a great reaction for Cassie to do.

People on this channel have weird definitions of movies. Some are suggesting "Strange Days" as a "tender" movie, and recommending some pretty hardcore horror movies like The Blob and The Descent as "not so scary." I don't know if they're doing it because they're truly out of touch, or if it's a bid to show how bad-ass they are. (Kind of like the guys who eat hot sauce that causes smoke to pour out of their ears, but loudly declare how it just tastes like plain tomato sauce to them.)

I don't really understand why people were warning Cassie to avoid something like The Fly when stuff like this is way more unpleasant to watch. It's the sheer cruelty and cynicism that is so off-putting here. At least The Fly has a tangible emotional core and a sense of humanity.

October is almost over and November is/might be Warm and Fuzzy/Feel Good so time to make a few suggestions. I suggest a Micheal J. Fox Poll because he's Canadian and had the best looking female co-stars!
1. Doc Hollywood (1991) Micheal J. Fox A Romantic Comedy
2. The Secret of My Success (1987)
3. Greedy (1994)
4. Mars Attacks (1996)
5. For Love Or Money (1993)
Other Feel Good/Heart Warming Movies.
1. Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret (2023) With Rachel McAdams
2. Gifted (2017) Staring Chris Evans and Mckenna Grace it might have actually made me tear-up a couple of times!
3. The Man in the Moon (1991) With a very young Reese Witherspoon.

I love this film so much and I enjoyed your reaction. However I do feel bad for you that you get so scared at these things that you didn’t get the humour as well. That’s really why this is a classic as it makes fun of itself and other horror films. I guess not much chance for Scream 2?

This was fun Cassie, though I can't blame you for being completely and utterly terrified throughout this reaction, still it was a fun watch! I'm sorry, but I can't help but laugh at the photoshop done on your face in the thumbnail, that was brilliant lol! I'm glad I was able to join in on the reaction while I was at work today! To answer a question you said during the reaction, a few years later after this movie was made, there was a parody movie that turned into a franchise and not only does it poke fun at this movie but other iconic horror films as well, it's called SCARY MOVIE! I hate to say it though, but I don't recommend you watch it next year, while it does have its funny moments, but it's just way to raunchy of a comedy for someone of your personality, like seriously, there are some scenes that might slightly gross you out and make you say "what the heck"! I pretty much grew out of that franchise over the years! Anyway, like I said in the comment I left in your full length, I'm not the biggest fan of this franchise, but I can't help but find some entertainment in it, and it was this film that made me a fan of Neve Campbell (Sidney) and gosh did I have a huge crush on her back then, and she's still lovely as ever today lol! Hope this movie hasn't completely traumatized you, while some aspects of this film can actually happen in real like i.e. a creep calling on the phone and harrassing you and possibly stalking you, that's creepy enough on its own, so I don't blame you for getting so spooked, especially at the beginning! Still, it's not real, it's just a movie [BIG comforting virtual hug] it's okay! Love and support always, hope you had a good Saturday! God bless you, Carly and your family, and as always [snaps fingers & winks] stay classy Cassie🥰😁😉😇🙏👍🌹

For the record: I did NOT suggest that you watch this movie. I can’t handle this and I don’t know whose bright idea it was to recommend this to Cassie. That was really uncalled for. Proof that the internet can be a truly terrible place. I’m so sorry.

It’s like 2 movies in one. Joan Cusack and Christina Ricci steal each of them.

Cassie to answer your question about “Safety on a gun”, it’s a safety mechanism (hence the name safety) that prevents a gun from firing. Some guns have them some don’t (some types of guns don’t ever have them like Glocks and most other guns have models without them as some people don’t like them), and there are a few different types of safety. A lot of older guns (and some current ones) have it built inside or near the trigger guard (round bit that surround the trigger to prevent it from firing if the trigger would bump something without it), some have it built into the grip, the most common is a lever or switch on the side of the gun usually in a spot where you could move it with your thumb. Hope this info helps (I also put this on the full reaction)

Time to wash your eyes and soul, Cassie. You NEED a good comedy or 2!

No idea how this made it into the ‘not so scary list’ my idea of not so scary is Addams Family Values… which isn’t scary in the least bit, but Joan Cussack’s Malibu Barbie monologue is scarily good.

we only get one spooky month a year. It's a season that corresponds with A holiday, that is super fun for kids too. It's no different than celebrating Christmas for a month.
(which I love too)

Cassie, Courtney Cox and David Arquette (Dewey) actually met working on this movie and fell in love in real life and were married for years. They are a great horror couple

Cassie you are adorable lol. I loved that you caught the Freddy Krueger reference with the principal. The guy in the Freddy Sweater was actually played by Screams Director "Wes Craven" also the director of A Nightmare on Elm Street

33:05 "Isn't there like ten of these. Why?!" Why indeed! The first Scream (1996) is a classic and while there are some good scary moments in some of the sequels, none of them are as great as the first one. To quote Roger Ebert: "If Scream (1996) was like a funny joke, Scream 2 (1997) was like somebody telling you, "here's how I heard that joke,'' and Scream 3 (2000) is like somebody who won't believe you've already heard it."

Next October, could consider having a scary week (e.g., Halloween week) instead of a scary month.

Every time I watch this, I'm reminded that it takes place in suburban CA not suburban TX. Had it been in TX, she'd likely just find a gun and the movie would be over very quickly...
