Zombieland (2009) - Full Reaction

I think I'm having an identity crisis, because how could I like that so much!!?? Big part of it was probably Emma Stone and Woody and BILLL! So fun to start off October with.

Zombieland (2009) - Full Reaction

Comments

Jimi Hendrix said Terry Kath is the greatest..screw Rolling Stone woke publishers lol

Dana Regan

It's funny..growing up with street smarts in Chicago then adding a college degree to it, I knew the 2 girls were a scam right away. I can spot a con quickly. Not armed, alone in a grocery store during zombie dominated country..its a scam..I woulda never handed my gun over for any purpose..new rule: #75 Never give up your firearm to anyone.

Dana Regan

Oh--if you dont know who Terry Kath is, Google Tanglewood 1970. Jimi Hendrix called him the greatest guitar player ever, EVH-yawn. lol

Dana Regan

Taking the Browns to the Superbowl is a 90s reference to taking a sh1t. glad to help out on references. Ignore these mean people. I canhave my buddy trace them down and I could call my cousins in Chicago who take care of people like that if u ever want. small fee. no evidence. lol

Dana Regan

all zombie movies are boring and stupid..at least I could laugh at Woody in this one..we will be taken over by sheeple who believe everything the govt says before zombies or vampires. I still have my Witchcraft hardback handbook though. lol

Dana Regan

I did consider unsubscribing when I heard the words “Who’s Eddie Van Halen?”.. But nah, I enjoy Cassie too much. LoL.

Joe M

Aurora

Richard Maurer

Grew up in Garland so the first part cracks me up every single time.

Robert Snyder

Train to Busan is also a good one, and she watched World War Z before the channel IIRC (Brad Pitt).

Brent Petty

watch the movie, Cassie said Who is Eddie Van Halen, geesh

zynjams

I was commenting on Cassie saying who is Eddie van Halen when Bill Murray said he was a zombie

zynjams

Nightwish 🥰

Björn Karlsson

That was Chloe Grace Moretz

Ian from wine country

You hurt my 80s soul.

Ian from wine country

One of the best guitar players of all time. Rolling Stone has him at #8 on their 100 Greatest Guitarists. Guitar World has him at #4 on their "The 100 greatest guitarists of all time."

Clay F

Zachary K.

Yeah voted for Tucker and Dale as well as I think she would really like that one. But it was great to watch this again 👍

Dean Holt

Have you even watched Train to Busan?

Russell Teo

The best Zombie movie of all time is The Return of the Living Dead 1985...Dawn of the Dead (2004) is a close second.

Barry Justice

whos Eddie Van Halen?

zynjams

I'd love for that to happen along with The Crazies!

Shawn Kildal

Train to busan isnt all that. its' just zombies on a train. Ok, its set in korea. It's not some great revelation. Just zombies on a train.

rakeshldn

Knowing now that Cassie can endure zombie movies Dawn of the Dead (2004) would be a great watch, She liked 300. And i think this debut from Zack SYnder was fantastic.

rakeshldn

Zombieland is one of my favourite horror comedies. The Rules are so clever and hilarious, especially the "Zombie Kill of the Week". The cast is perfect and the cameo was inspired! It's a shame they waited 10 years to make the sequel -- and it was a letdown because so many zombie comedies had been made since 2009. It's not going to win any polls but still worth watching for the funny characters, especially the bizarro versions!

Rod Reavern

You can make your points that Korean films have done a great job without resorting to the absurd though.

Cole Jennett

Nothing original about Zombieland in 2009. Rehash of same 1990-2010s Hollywood junk without any new context. Learn from others

Russell Teo

With Emma Stone and Woody in this, she was bound to have a good time. Glad she enjoyed it!

Cole Jennett

Are you saying there was bad casting and acting in Zombieland??🤯

Cole Jennett

I always wanted to watch Train to Busan. Not sure about Rampant. Zombieland is awesome in my feeble opinion. Creative. Different. Funny. Rotten Tomatoes = Train to Busan (critics 95%, audience 89%). Critic consensus: Train to Busan delivers a thrillingly unique -- and purely entertaining -- take on the zombie genre, with fully realized characters and plenty of social commentary to underscore the bursts of skillfully staged action. Zombieland (critics 89%, audience 86%). Critic consensus: Wickedly funny and featuring plenty of gore, Zombieland is proof that the zombie subgenre is far from dead.

Clay F

It's called empathy. She's referring to calling a living, real person who is acting and very overweight, fatty. It's a little cringey to look at empathy for another person as cringey.

Coleton B.

Let down by poor script, acting, casting, videography, direction. When it comes to zombie Movie/TV, the Koreans are already light years ahead of Hollywood. Time for Cassie to discover Rampant & Train to Busan

Russell Teo

Agreed about TUCKER AND DALE. I think Cassie would like that one too.

Stick Figure Studios

Rule #14 - When in doubt, The Exorcist is OUT.

Brent Petty

I wasn't born here, but I got here as fast as I could! :)

Brent Petty

Jackson's Braindead, A.K.A. Dead/Alive (in the US) is so much funnier than The Frighteners. But, as with all of his early films, the gore level is off the charts. Much worse than Zombieland. So if gore bothers you don't go there.

Richard Maurer

Looks like Cassie could start second channel reacting to music. If she does I'm going to recommend Slayer just so someone will say " It's too much for Cassie!".

Richard Maurer

Well you can, but not with any of the well known ones. I've seen some low-budget indie ones however that really stunk up the place.

Richard Maurer

While I voted for Tucker and Dale, this was a close second. One of the rare horror comedies that is actually funny. By the way, Tucker and Dale has a cute love story too, and is also very funny.

Richard Maurer

Well, in the least surprising news ever category, that was another awesome time at the movies. A little bit of a rough start for ya, kind of thrown in the deep end with all that gore. However, I'm sorry to say, it was worth it to hear you belt out "it's still September!" lol, holy that was good hah. The over the top, comical gore was probably good practice for what's to come...dun dun dun.

Erik Daniel

This movie makes everyone want a Twinkie. I wouldn’t be surprised if their sales when up after this movie. There’s also a Zombieland 2 I don’t think it’s as good as the original but second movies rarely are.

John Cohen

Alright, who are you? And what have you done with the real Cassie? 😂 Seriously though. I’m glad you enjoyed the film! The cast and relationships definitely made it more than just a “Zombie” movie. I’m not a huge horror movie fan myself. But a nice way to start off the month!

Robert da Spruce

Madison rocks !!!

Bill Maurer

I think their plan is to do a new Zombieland movie every 10 years

Bill Maurer

They are not gone Cassie, you can still buy them, they are just made by a different company now. This movie was actually made around the time Twinkies announced they are shutting down in real life and this movie just sort of played off that public sentiment. Luckily for us, they are being made again.

LightsCameraJake

wait twinkies are gone?!

Cassie

love this Mike!!

Cassie

oooohhh j14 i didn’t know that was her, that tracks 🤣

Cassie

yes love the different take on it!

Cassie

Here here! For following up with Zombieland: Double Tap. Zoey Deutch gives an absolute side splitting performance as Columbus's competing love interest.

Jeffery Parks

Yes, also before she gets to Bill & Ted.

Cole Jennett

Just a fun, fun movie. I love it. Great Reaction Cassie. Now you have to watch the 2nd one. 😁

Rick Williams

Great reaction. I was pretty sure Cassie would enjoy this one despite the graphic gore, and I'm so glad that she did. Here's hoping she watches the sequel (Zombieland: Double Tap) too.

Luke Godfrey

Great reaction to a great movie but OMG go watch a Van Halen video. :) Try Jump, Panama, Running w the devil, so many others to choose from. Big question now is are you going to do Zombieland 2?

fallout4

Alright I’m glad that you liked Zombieland, was unaware that you are a fan of Emma Stone. Also the Zombie “girlfriend” was played by Amber Heard. Can’t wait to see another Halloween movie that I like with your reaction.

FranciscoGios

I saw them in Stockholm in 1984 😄

Björn Karlsson

It's a little uneven and not as good as the first, but I think Zooey Deutch saves the film. Lea Thompson's daughter, btw.

David Conroy

This movie was a trip!

JL_83

I am glad this movie won the poll. Years ago, when I first watched Zombieland, I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. Creative. Definite unique spin on zombie movies.

Clay F

R.I.P. Eddie Van Halen. I grew up on Van Halen. I first saw them in concert in 1980 when they were promoting their third album Women and Children First.

Clay F

Kingpin is one of the greatest comedies i've seen. Utterly Hilarious.

rakeshldn

Saw it just now for the first time along with the full react lmaoooo how have I never seem this film, that was amazing

Omar

I love this movie it’s so much fun. Skip the sequel it pretty terrible.

Alex Gorell

The banana ones are great. And I am curious what Smuckers is going to do with the brand.

Mike Lemon

Can’t get Cassie’s reaction on Youtube or download the movie from iTunes either.

Uncle Phoenix

This reaction was a lot of fun, more than I expected. I feared Cassie might be put off by the gore, but she seemed to have a blast. This makes me hope she'll like my first choice, Tucker and Dale vs Evil. 😄 I would love to see more comedy reactions! It always cheers me up to see Cassie having such a good time.

Gábor Árki

+1

Mike LL

Personally, I think it's not as good as this one.

Stick Figure Studios

I love THE FRIGHTENERS.

Stick Figure Studios

I love that movie too... and I was born in West Virginia.

Stick Figure Studios

I have the same issue w/ Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil (I live in WV).

Brent Petty

Yeah. Her reaction to "fatties" was pretty cringy, I admit.

Brent Petty

Don't wait for the last minute to pop the corn.

Mike LL

Well, I am on a long string of movies on the channel that I have never seen, and this was the latest one. Good call, bringing it out the next to the last day it is on Netflix! 😄 Now I see why all the hype for this one, the first time I have truly enjoyed a zombie movie of any kind, much funnier than Shaun of the Dead. Thanks for the reaction.

Mike LL

Haven't seen it in a while, but I think the effects in THE FRIGHTENERS are quite impressive for their time. It was released in 1996, only 3 years after the groundbreaking work ILM did for Jurassic Park. Also, it was the catalyst for the creation of Weta and their work on this movie paved the way for them to be selected (and accepted by studio) for LOTR.

Gábor Árki

honestly they taste the same to me lol

LightsCameraJake

Little miss sunshine would be a movie you might like

jay

RIP Twinkies. They don't trully exist anymore, just a sad knockoff.

aarswft

I love Slither

Eddie Perkins

I have a list, too. The first thing on it is don't trust women, but like these two guys, I keep forgetting that rule. This is one of those movies that is so funny that it doesn't even feel like a horror. Did anyone notice that 406 was Amber Heard? They do have a sequel to this that came out ten years later.

Eddie Perkins

We need a Cassie reacts to Van Halen

Canadianant

Welcome to Zombieland. Maybe we can rules for PiB like they have in Zombieland ???

Bill Maurer

Great idea! I would include movies that weren't to be as good as they were. Caddy Shack comes to mind...

Brent Fugett

Great reaction Cassie as always! I admit myself, I'm not the biggest fan of zombie movies either, there are very few that I actually like and this one is one of them, still this was a great watch! You.....don't......know......who...... VAN HALEN IS???😱😱😱 Shame on you Cassie LOL!!! kidding🤣🤣🤣 However I think you may have heard his music and just didn't even know it, my personal favorite of his music is the song simply titled "Jump"! Check it out and have a listen when you get a chance! Funny thing, I just finished watching your full length reaction to THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD for the first time before jumping into this, quite the unexpected surprise lol, a good start for spooky season nevertheless! Woody Harrelson is such an awesome actor, he's great! Like I once said, one thing that makes me love the guy even more is the fact that he's a Three Stooges fan lol, even before I knew that I always loved his work! One thing that I think this movie does well is poke fun at the typical cliche's of zombie outbreaks, like always shoot them in the head! While also creating new ones, like doing the "double tap" to make sure they're dispatched! And of course all the different and creative ways to dispatch a zombie is always fun to watch, if a bit gruesome lol! I really haven't much to say other than just saying that I really enjoyed this reaction, both this movie and you reacting really cracked me up! I'm looking forward to seeing what's next, hope you're getting better Cassie, sorry I couldn't attend your live hang out yesterday, hope you got my package and love the shirts! Love and support, [virtual hug] God bless you, Carly, and your family! And as always [snaps fingers & winks] stay classy Cassie🥰😁😉😇🙏👍🌹

Wesley White

Cassie recently said that we can suggest "Themes" for the channel. I would like to recommend "So Bad They're Good". Some of my favorite movies are so cheesy, but I love them BECAUSE they are cheesy! I may just have Halloween on the brain, but a couple of examples would be: 1. "Killer Klowns From Outer Space" 1988 2."The Blob" 1988 Best remake EVER! 3. "Slither" 2006 with Nathan Fillion 4. "Chopping Mall" 1986 Special request for Cassie because she "used" to dream about being locked in a Mall overnight...this may cure her of that dream!

Barry Justice

Check out "What Lies Beneath" Harrison Ford , Michelle Phiefer, ghost story movie. Perfect for Halloween 🎃

Johnny Salinas

Time for Kingpin which stars Bill Murray and Woody Harrelson. Hilarious movie

djKENTO

Cool reaction. I am glad this movie won the poll. Years ago, when I first watched Zombieland, I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. Creative. Definite unique spin on zombie movies. “Zombies don't mess with other zombies.” -BM “Yeah. I mean you got the guts of a guppy, but I could hit that.” -Wichita

Clay F

Great sequel

Odd Thomas

The sequel is just as good, if not better

Odd Thomas

You were absolutely right on about the gore Cassie.. it was soooo over the top that it becomes funny instead of scary. Glad you enjoyed this one! Great reaction btw

Andrew Rose

I love zombie movies, glad to see you're checking Zombieland out. It's a fun watch

Gipsy Undead

I definitely hope you do watch THE FRIGHTENERS, that was Peter Jackson's last movie before he began work on THE LORD OF THE RINGS. Before those movies, he was known primarily as a horror director, or a horror-comedy director really, and despite having some '90s CGI which maybe hasn't aged well THE FRIGHTENERS is a blast, a very good balance of scary, funny and emotional. The Bill Murray impression that Woody Harrelson was doing here was of Carl Spackler, Murray's character in the 1980 movie CADDYSHACK, which is probably the greatest golf comedy ever made. (Maybe not a high bar to clear) Also if you enjoyed their interactions here, Murray and Harrelson also worked together in the 1996 comedy KINGPIN, which is probably the greatest bowling comedy ever made. (Maybe not a high bar to clear)

Patrick Flanagan

Not a bad movie, but definitely not nearly as good as the first one.

Stick Figure Studios

I live in a town called Sachse right next to Garland, Texas (where I actually spend some time). When the movie does the gag about how crappy everything looks not because the zombies destroyed it but just because "that's Garland," nobody laughs harder than me because it's so true.

Stick Figure Studios

Yeah I thought it was my internet so I tested it and it's fine so I played something else of cassies on patreon and it plays fine , for some reason it's this video impaticular

Wyatt Nuxoll

It's pretty good, but they probably waited about five years too long to make it.

Patrick Flanagan

It seems to be still rendering on YouTube. I've tried serval times.

David Freese

No problem

David Freese

Always really enjoyed this one. Nice, simple and quick. Also love it because the song playing over the opening credits is "For whom the bell tolls" by my favorite band Metallica.

Choof

I really don't like zombie movies, but I love this one. And I enjoyed watching it again with you.

Kevin Townsend

Is anybody else having trouble watching this one , it won't load

Wyatt Nuxoll

Did she really just ask "Can they say that?" for the word "fat"? It's a comedy.. for adults Maybe I'll skip this one actually lol Respectfully

Jyn Jilly

I'm just minding my own business watching a reaction and she asked "Who is Van Halen" and I passed out. I don't know where I am anymore.

RabidMango

Best. Cameo. Ever. And the younger girl you recognized is the little girl in Signs.

Brent Petty

Can’t go wrong with a zombie flick!!

Audrey

Cassie there is also a second movie that came out semi recently and it's very much worth watching! "Zombieland Double Tap" (2019) Same cast!

LightsCameraJake

Thank you for the update. I didn't get to see the live, so was unaware of that. 🙂

Ed Garland

During tonight's live she said she'd try to watch John Wick 4 tonight. Remember she is still not feeling well. So hopefully we get it on Sunday

David Freese

Always wonder what you'll enjoy from spooky month, glad this made it this year.

Tringard

Where did John Wick 4 go?? I thought that was the 1st movie this week, but instead we got Clue, and now Zombieland. I'm looking forward to Zombieland, but did Wick 4 get canceled??

Ed Garland

Face it Cassie, you're an allround movie buff now. Enjoying all genres. 🍿

Pickupthepieces76

Love this movie! You should consider Arsenic and Old Lace as a Halloween Light movie as well! It takes place during Halloween

Barbie Pootsky

ah man, too bad Carly isn't here for this one. Still, cant wait to watch it.
