CREATURE FEATURE POLL 2 of 2

*I had to repost this to set it as multiple choice! Make sure to vote again!

OK GUYS I'M going to watch THE THING!! That will be my first FEATURE CREATURE of the season, then you pick my other in these polls!! I got so many suggestions for this poll, I had to make two-the top 2 from each will go to a faceoff for the winner in 3 days!! Make sure to vote on both polls

CREATURE FEATURE POLL 2 of 2

Comments

Good idea John. She could make it a whole week! Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975), Excalibur (1981), The Fisher King (1991), 'King Arthur' (2004), and what she will like the most... First Knight (1995).

Super Powered Design (Jim)

King Kong 1976 is awful.

Christopher Carr

@David Collins The Prestige is one of my all time faves. Top notch cast, writing, sets/costumes... Interesting idea about "Reign" being set in medieval times, rather than modern dystopian... but I can't imagine how folks in medieval times would have had a chance in hades fighting the dragons in the film. For medieval-times dragon, Cassie may like Dragonheart (1996)

Bill W

@Clay Faries You actually look at, let alone trust, RT? Dude

Doug Fisher

I'm hoping for a "King Arthur/Knights of the Round Table" day and Cassie and Carly will watch "Excaliber".

John Murphy

Maybe Cassie can do a law enforcement week > Training Day would be one great movie.

Beth Brown

Reign of Fire is a grossly underrated movie. It's between that and The Prestige for which is my favorite Christian Bale movie. It would have done a LOT better with fans and critics alike if it had been set in medieval times. Today I totally love the movie, have re-watched it numerous times, but I was intensely disappointed when I saw it in the theatre because it didn't match my expectations. Once you let go of the expectations, it's actually a really good movie.

David Collins

I’d vote for the original King Kong, an essential classic, or even the Peter Jackson remake. But the ‘76 version is pretty awful. At least save it until you’ve seen the others.

Silver Machine

Almost same 1980-90s theme as last year. Nothing new. Perhaps Cassie can try 1930-50s theme

Russell Teo

Reign of Fire is the most unique of all the movies on the list. Great cast and well done. Its a bit of lesser known movie. Definitely a must watch at some point. McConaughey(superhero bod in this one), Bale and Butler …really how can’t you want to watch?

Jeffrey Smith

The Descent is one of the best movies on that list but I certainly wouldn't recommend it to Cassie. I like her too much for that. I also really like the Creature From The Black Lagoon - that's more her speed.

Walter

The Fly and The Mist

ChristopherTracy

The reason why Godzilla 2014 is my least favourite is that Godzilla doesn't appear on-screen until nearly halfway through the movie and has the least screen time of all the new films. The problem with modern monster movies is they waste precious screen time on the human characters -- presumably because of the high cost of CG. The annoying human characters drag down the Godzilla/King Kong sequels -- the monster battles are spectacular!

Rod Reavern

I actually think this one was the only really good one of this batch of new Godzilla/King Kong movies. They are all watchable, but they’ve gone downhill for me since. I also would have voted for Pacific Rim.

Cole Jennett

Never said that others aren't allowed to enjoy it. When I make a comment just assume a imo is included (unless it's actual facts) because I'm not going to write imo for every post. I mean nobody does when they're writing about how great a film is, that's for sure.

Richard Maurer

Godzilla 2014 isn't the best monster movie of the new Godzilla/King Kong movies, but Cassie should start with the first one. I would've voted for Pacific Rim or The Shape of Water if I could have -- both great films by Guillermo del Toro!

Rod Reavern

Its not you. Read other comments. Patreon is having some issues.

Mike LL

The best Kong is the original Kong. Ahead of its time for sure.

Stephen Malloy

I have watched neither and trying to decide if to watch both. At Rotten Tomatoes = Reign of Fire (critics 42%, audience 49%), The Descent (critics 87%, audience 76%). RT critic consensus: "Reign of Fire gains some altitude with its pyrotechnic action and a smolderingly campy Matthew McConaughey, but the feature's wings are clipped by a derivative script and visual effects that fizzle out." RT critic consensus: "Deft direction and strong performances from its all-female cast guide The Descent, a riveting, claustrophobic horror film."

Clay F

Reign of Fire is a must watch. It’s a great tense, movie with great special effects and characters and story. Plus such an original take on dragons. The Descent sucks in my opinion

Biggman83

How about King Kong (1933)? Not the remake.

DWG15

And you're allowed. Just as others are allowed to like/love it which is why I also voted for it. That's the best part about art, it's subjectivity.

mikethemotormouth

Maybe related since they both do the same thing but at different times? Either way, Patreon needs to fix it.

Mike Lemon

Mr Brooks starring Kevin Costner (honorable mention)

Vincent

Well, nobody's perfect. ;-)

Stick Figure Studios

Yes, we can all make mistakes. Like, for instance, the ones you made when you disagreed with my last two posts. :-)

Richard Maurer

Besökarna 😆😆

Björn Karlsson

Again, I think you're just confused. It's one of the best movies on this poll (and in good company some of the best movies on the other poll), far superior to something like THE MEG, but that's okay. We all make mistakes. ;-)

Stick Figure Studios

The Descent has to win.

Robbie

Cassie would be under her blanket for a good quarter of the descent

Chris

They both deserve to beat Arachnophobia, but so far that's not the case.

Richard Maurer

Sorry, but I can't agree with 98, that film deserves to fade into obscurity.

Richard Maurer

So I've noticed. As you've, no doubt, noticed that I despise it.

Richard Maurer

Yes, it maligns and misrepresents them.

Richard Maurer

Prefer the original

Richard Maurer

No, I was very clear in what I said. I'll also say if it weren't for The Meg it would be the worst film on both polls combined. It's one of those movies where I ended up rooting for the monsters (spiders).

Richard Maurer

just want to drop in a suggestion for the next horror poll - As above so below. very creepy in Paris :)

Marcus Öhman

If it ends up like it looks now, being The Mist and The Fly, plus The Thing... Cassie is jumping right into the deep-end. The Descent is a fantastic movie and deserves to beat Godzilla.

Jesus F Christ

Help! How do I get to the voting section? How do I see the results of the poll?

George G

Holy cow folks! Just watched "The Killing of a Sacred Deer". May take the creepy prize away from The Exorcist. You folks that have seen it, what do you think? Cassie ... you like Nicole Kidman. She stars in it along with another great actor, Colin Farrell, who I'm not sure you're familiar with. He did fantastic work in a movie called "In Bruges".

Jeffery Parks

Same here too. I also couldn't vote on desktop, only mobile.

Mike Lemon

I see Mike. That does sound like a separate bug from the one I was talking about.

Grad

The Descent and The Mist are the two best films on this list

Robbie

@Grad- Yes, I know. When I say it is missing I am saying the space where it should be is blank and it was never there (ie. it is showing 2 of the 100 comments and no way to see more). The page has to be reloaded at least once for it to show back up.

Mike Lemon

I love ARACHNAPHOBIA. I voted for it.

Stick Figure Studios

Same.

Stick Figure Studios

Either the polls vanish once you vote on them or they no longer show up. I voted on both Creature Feature polls but now I can't see them (just the thumbnail showing the posters)

D. T. Nelson

I love Eight Legged Freaks!

Barry Justice

I think you mean, sir, that it hit the bullseye twice. :-)

Stick Figure Studios

"and the 'Load more comments' is missing about half the time" I think it disappears when you expand a comment thread. If you want to view older comments you need to load them before you expand individual threads.

Grad

I just mean like, she waited to watch Austin Powers until she had a significant number of Bonds under her belt. So I feel like Shin Godzilla would be better later in any Godzilla journey rather than right after the first batch. As for Godzilla 1998, I know people hate it but frankly, I think these channels could use a few more movies like this. I get that there's limited time or spaces, but like, I feel like it's interesting to see some of the bad with the good. Even Cassie says that! The rough patches help you appreciate the good stuff. But, like I said, I'm receptive to hearing of a replacement for it from the original Japanese series.

Tyler Foster

I agree with this. Good opportunity to watch the classics and you'll gain a greater appreciation for the newer movies. The same case could be made for The Blob, The Fly and Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Grad

Well first I'd eliminate 98 as I (as well as many other G fans) don't even consider that a real Godzilla movie. I know that YT is has a lot from the Showa era, and Amazon has the last 3 Heisei era films. The Japanese films from Millennium on are on YT. As to their availability in the original Japanese w/subtitles, well I'll take what I can get. Also the fact that Shin was doing something different is a major reason to include it, especially as it would be at the end of a release order list.

Richard Maurer

You mention Shin Godzilla but I don't think that should be the fourth movie, because I feel like Shin Godzilla is intentionally trying to do something different, so I would imagine if she gets that deep into Godzilla, that would be something for later.

Tyler Foster

It was meant to be 1998. The problem with most of the other Godzilla movies is going to be streaming availability, especially in Japanese. The other question would be, if you're only doing four Godzilla movies and two of them are going to be the current MonsterVerse Godzilla films (to cover all the movies ahead of Godzilla vs. Kong), then what is the one other movie besides the original Godzilla that would be both available and most representative?

Tyler Foster

Other than '54 and 62 your Godzilla list seems to be mostly US movies (not sure which movie 1996 is supposed to be as no Godzilla movies were released in 96). But skipping the movies from the Heisei era or Shin Godzilla in favor of the US ones would be considered pretty strange among most Godzilla fans. Not that the US made ones are bad, but Godzilla is a primarily Japanese creation and should really be represented mostly by Japanese films.

Richard Maurer

So it missed the mark twice then.

Richard Maurer

I don't see the poll itself but I do see a clickable "Poll" greyed area. When I click that, it takes me to to where all the past polls were, but I don't see the actual poll for these Creature Feature ones.

Damon

I have quite frequently in the past week had to refresh my browser to make the "Load more comments" line appear. I have heard that if you click on the name of the movie it will record your vote. Just what I heard.

Mike LL

But it's not a comedy. It's a thrill-omedy!

Stick Figure Studios

IMO, it'd be better to do the original 1933 King Kong, the 1976 and 2005 remakes, and Kong: Skull Island (2017). Since it doesn't look like it's going to win this round, you could save it for another week similar to the Robin Hood one. Same with Godzilla -- 1954, 1998, 2014, and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019). And then you could watch King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962) and Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) to finish.

Tyler Foster

Patreon is falling apart lately. The changes they put into effect only make things worse.

Richard Maurer

I have zero arachnophobia and I completely agree with the sentiment "GAH!!! ARACHNAPHOBIA is winning", just for the opposite reason from you. Nothing scary about spiders.

Richard Maurer

A scary movie on a horror poll? Crazy.

Richard Maurer

The Meg might actually be a worse choice than Arachnophobia, hard as that is for me to say. But they both definitely stink.

Richard Maurer

When I think of creature features, I always look for ones that are mostly comedies.........wait, of course I don't, that would be silly.

Richard Maurer

I can "load more comments" but there is no button to vote. I'll check back tomorrow because I want to add my vote to Arachnophobia and The Descent.

Sarah Frost

Off topic- Is anyone else having problems with Patreon? I can't see the polls anymore (for about the last 18 hours) and the "Load more comments" is missing about half the time, plus there is no comment total showing. It's been going on for the last few days.

Mike Lemon

I hate Arachnophobia. Because I hate spiders. But that's on me. I'm sure it will be a wild reation..that I'll never watch. Lol

nick bell

Creature from the Black Lagoon and The Fly from what you posted.

Eddie Perkins

King Kong 1933 and GWTW are both in the top 20 most iconic movies of all time on IMDb.

Eddie Perkins

Tee heee Arachnophobia. 1933 King Kong is a must-see Cassie. Great read is the book I sent you about its legendary composer, Max Steiner - Hollywood’s most influential composer aka “the father of film music.” His indelible mark on movie music is best remembered for his work on Gone With the Wind (another highly anticipated PiB reaction); despite the producer’s micromanaging, he successfully wrote over 3 hours of music in under 3 months time! Although you’ve heard his music before in Casablanca, the Tara Theme is one of the most famous and instantly recognizable motifs in film music history. Steiner’s music in GWTW exemplifies two art forms - musical scoring and cinema - combined to perfection.

Rose

Mine too.

Stick Figure Studios

I am glad that Arachnaphobia (1990) is leading. That is my top choice.

Clay F

I kinda wish The Mothman Prophecies would've been added to either of these lists.

Ed Vicenti

I like the 1976 version but I agree.

Marko T.

Creature from the Black Lagoon is great. Its interesting trilogy of movies.

Marko T.

THE MIST would be crueler.

Stick Figure Studios

Arachnophobia is a great movie...but I wan Cassie to watch The Descent to see if she'll pee her pants. :0

John Cranberry

Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) is SOOOO good !

pinkdino99

Oh this is gonna be fun. Maybe more for us? lol, I kid, you'll be fine.

Erik Daniel

GAH!!! ARACHNAPHOBIA is winning, while it's a good movie in its own way and it has some entertaining momments, but given that I have arachnaphobia myself, I just can't watch this movie anymore without getting the willies! Mind you, little spiders don't bother me, it's tarantulas I can't bare to look at without shivering, and this movie has one and the Goliath Bird Eater, no spoilers! You should've put the 1933 KING KONG on this poll, the 1976 remake is okay, but the OG and Peter Jackson's 2004 remake is where it's at! I'm glad to see that GODZILLA (2014), THE MEG (2018), and CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON (1954) made it on this poll! I'm really shocked to see REIGN OF FIRE make it onto this poll, that's a good one! Very underrated classic, while you could call it a creature feature because of what's in it (no spoilers), but I rather categorize it as in the Post Apocolyptic genre, but that's just me! Still, it's a good one, I hope to see you react to it someday! My votes for both polls are: LAKE PLACID, GODZILLA, REIGN OF FIRE, THE MEG, THE MONSTER SQUAD, CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, and UNDERWORLD! May the best movies win, love and support🥰😁😉😇🙏👍🌹

Wesley White

Amazed that The Descent even made it into the poll. That movie would terrify Cassie. At the same time, how did Deep Rising make it? That's a bad movie. Also, the 1976 King Kong?! That is wrong on every level imaginable.

Mark Vaderr

It! Terror from Beyond Space is usually the movie most cited as the inspiration for Alien, to point where there's even some accusations of plagiarism.

Richard Maurer

I'm pretty sure that Rubicon is far ahead at The Exorcist. The Thing is a stepping stone, a great one, but still a stepping stone.

Richard Maurer

I was going to vote for King Kong until I saw that it's the 1976 version. The original 1933 version or Peter Jackson's 2005 version are much better.

Kevin Townsend

Cassie should really watch Train to Busan. I think she might be one the few major reactors who hasn't at this point.

Richard Maurer

@Cliff Stephenson yes because 1. Neither one has really anything to do with a "creature" 2. We're still a couple years(at least) away from her being able to handle either one

mikethemotormouth

Voted for Godzilla, The Descent, and TCftBL. Arachnophobia and The Meg are bad killer animal movies and don't deserve to be in the same poll with the rest of these films.

Richard Maurer

Tied for worst movie on the poll with The Meg.

Richard Maurer

Same here. Traumatizing!! And yes, I have arachnophobia. The furrier the spider, the worse it is!! 🫣😱

Audrey

Right about Kong, wrong about Invasion - the 78 version is definitely better.

Richard Maurer

If It wasn't for Arachnophobia then I would have voted for Deep Rising. I hope the former wins but you really should watch Deep Rising at some point.

Cody Nelson

Don't let these people scare you Cassie. Is The Thing scary? Yes, it's a horror film, so it's supposed to be scary. Is it as bad as some people are portraying it? No, it is not.

Richard Maurer

Monster Squad, definitely skip Monster Squad - It's, it's, TOO MUCH FOR YOU CASSIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Richard Maurer

I used to own the species of tarantula that they used for the "queen spider" or whatever they called it. So not only doesn't this film scare me, I actually have a real dislike for it.

Richard Maurer

I won't be watching it either - because I hate bad animal movies.

Richard Maurer

Every other version of King Kong is better.

Richard Maurer

It's definitely very scary, but I think she could handle THE DESCENT better than she could handle THE MIST.

Stick Figure Studios

Wow. The only one I have seen is the 1976 King Kong so I picked the one I thought I would most like to see sometime. Lo and behold, it's winning, lol. Only about 7 hours into the poll so I'll say "leading".

MertzRocks

Arachnophobia????

Jacob King

I know. It's a joke.

Dave Sees Movies

"Creature From The Black Lagoon." Classic!

Jay E Bjorklund

Godzilla is such a great documentary

Stephen DeBow

Cassie, Ive been watching your videos for a long time lol. I promise you DO NOT want to watch The Descent. I know I dont know you, but from watching all your videos I feel like I kinda do. And I think its too scary. Its way too scary for me. I still get freaked out even thinking about that movie

Andy Bodkin

I couldn't agree more with this, the comment that Haute Tension is just cinematic cruelty. Take my like.

Coleton B.

It's a "thrill- omedy" (I remember that was the specific term used in the publicity).

Stick Figure Studios

I'm with you on the original KING KONG (though I do have a soft spot for the 1970s version as that is the one I grew up with), but I might dispute your contention about the original INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS being better than the Philip Kaufman remake.

Stick Figure Studios

The Fly!

Randolph Tirazona

Well those aren’t options on this poll, so we’re saved the allure of that cruelty.

Cliff Stephenson

The cruelest move? I would think that would be Funny Games(2007) or High Tension(2003)

mikethemotormouth

One of worse King Kong's

R Harper

I had to go with "Reign of Fire" because it has Matthew McConaughey, Christian Bale, AND dragons... the only thing missing is hobbits.

Dan

Went for the Decent - just for slow mo came cassie jumping and fumbling her popcorn. No idea how King King 76 got in there lol

Rick

I went with Arachnophobia, but even though I was originally going to vote for it because it would be fun to watch you two do it, on this list, it's actually my favorite here. Yes, I know, some of the other films are probably better, but I love it. LOL

Raven Dark

I want, with all my heart, to vote for The Descent, but I also know that is the absolutely cruelest move to make on Cassie.

Cliff Stephenson

I enjoyed the 2014 version of Godzilla but believe Cassie should watch the 1954 original first (Gojira). I was fortunate enough to have the original suit actor to sign my copy of the original Gojira poster at a convention shortly before he passed away. It’s among my most prized possessions.

Just Plain Bob

You must be a monster kid like myself; you just named some of my favorites, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931). Was nominated for three Academy Awards, Fredric March won the award for Best Actor. He was the first actor to win an Oscar for horror; many people don't know that.

Eddie Perkins

IMO, The Descent, Reign of Fire, Frailty, Slither, It Follows, Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, The Babadook, The Cell, The Cabin in the Woods, and Midsommar were instant cult classics the first time they came out.

G

The 1933 King Kong is the definitive version but I disagree about Body Snatchers , preferring the 1978. That said, the original is deservedly considered a classic and an absolutely splendid movie.

Just Plain Bob

That 2005 remake is from Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson.

Alex Ch

@Eddie Perkins Amen and agree 💯. It’s my personal favorite movie, of any genre.

Just Plain Bob

John Carpenter's "The Thing 1982" ranks with Halloween as one of his best. The special effects are amazing. These are the kind of handmade effects that we don't see anymore.

Eddie Perkins

How did we miss getting “mothman” onto the poll? Because of…..you know…the “incident” 😂

JC762

7:30

Cassie

i’m a newb! i’m sorry! ha

Cassie

7:30 mst

Cassie

😱 You're watching The Thing! This is the moment you cross the rubicon for this channel. Wow. I'm proud of you!

rakesh

That is a fun movie.

Rick Williams

That's good. I was afraid she would grab the more recent version from this century.

Rick Williams

It would be a fun movie for her to react to, for sure!

Philip Alan

If you are ever going to do a King Kong movie, the 1933 is the original classic. And the 2005 is hands down the best one since the 1933 original

Eddie Perkins

The real serious downside to both of these Creature Feature polls is that there are soooo many movies you have chosen that are must watches. That's it. Otherwise, I'm excited for almost any that will win. You might have to pick two from each list, honestly lol. Just so many good ones. You really shouldn't limit it to just one from all these choices.

Astraeos

Arachnophobia, absolute best in its class with a style todays cinema could not replicate. . . and ill never watch it again lol.

Kevin Kuma

it wont take my vote

zynjams

Off topic: What time is the livestream going to be?

Tim Raths

Fun movie. Slow burn, great payoff.

Just Plain Bob

Totally agree!

Alina Jones

From beginning to end, the Descent freaked me out. Was not expecting what I saw!

Alina Jones

I agree. The 1982 version is the best.

Rick Williams

Hey David. She will be fine. She takes these suggestions to several people and if they say yes she puts them on the watch list. She might be scared in points but she appreciates the horror genre and is doing what the channel is for.

David Freese

Yes that's what is constantly suggested to her on Patreon and YouTube

David Freese

It's the original.

David Freese

FUN FACT: The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) was an influence on Alien (1979). The writers Dan O'Bannon and Ron Shusett took inspiration from, in their own words, "every B-movie horror film that got the scares right!"

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

Is '76 Kong with Jessica Lange? My memory of that movie is its not great. Haven't seen Black Lagoon in ages. Is that the Godzilla Cassie should watch?

ContrabandDonut

Eight Legged Freaks, Congo, The Grey, Crawl, Hannibal, Blade, The Edge so many more to go. wow.

Jimmy Reyes

I’m hoping it’s the 1982 John Carpenter version of The Thing and not the soulless godawful 2011 CGI fest version.

Just Plain Bob

as for the Meg, read the books by Steve Alten. The books are a whole lot better than the movie. they stripped the book and created their own version. the only good thing is the shark looks wonderful. it is a nice-looking shark.

Jimmy Reyes

I'm hoping one day in October, Cassie will watch the classic BBC horror drama GHOSTWATCH (1992). I think that would be quite a reaction!

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

i agree the Descent is a level up on horror, this would be a bit much.

Jimmy Reyes

I know it isn't going to win in the polls, but you need to add The Creature from the Black Lagoon. It is an all-time classic like the Hitchcock films you've watched but just in the horror genre.

Jimmy Reyes

The Decent is one of the best horror movies ever made. Almost an all female cast. Yeah definitely top 40 of the greatest horror movies of all the time. Invasion of the body snatchers with Donald Sutherland great flick. Meg 2 The Trench is MAX.

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

Jessica Lang. and 2005 is more Mighty Joe Young than King Kong. 2005 is a giant gorilla. King Kong 1933,1976, and current version are monsters. the look and the walk are different.

Jimmy Reyes

The Descent is without a doubt my favorite horror movie this century(and possibly ever). Such an incredible movie.

sarCC

1933 King Kong is far superior to 1976 King Kong. 1956 Invasion of the Body Snatchers is far superior to 1978 Invasion of the Body Snatchers. These are big mistakes.

Carol_White

You're one of the good ones, kudos. Well done!\

Coleton B.

you don't want to watch descent

pat on

I kinda agree on some of these that she gets asked to watch. The reactions aren’t very good and I for one don’t enjoy, watching her suffer through some miserable grotesque or emotionally draining punishment.

JC762

Are you watching The Thing from 1982?

Rick Williams

Good example of a potentially great reaction, but an overall kind of a silly junk movie. Nothing wrong with that imho.

JC762

Reign of Fire is a great movie!

Martin Skouboe

True. There is a creature, but it’s definitely more of a action fantasy/dystopian movie

JC762

Arachnophobia does for spiders what Jaws did for shark’s

Doc Larry

I’m one of the people that have been asking for The Thing for a while simply because it’s such a great movie. I keep telling myself that I think she’s got enough scary movies under her belt that she can handle it without hating it. I don’t want my own bias to miss judge this, but I keep telling myself, has she seen scarier movies? I think so. Has she seen movies with more graphic violence against people.? yes, I think definitely so. Has she seen a movie with this amount of detailed creature effects? probably not, but I think she’s gonna like it. But I could be wrong.

JC762

Jeff Bridges.

Mike LL

That IS a good one!

Jeffery Parks

I usually vote to save Cassie from you animals and your desires to put her through the proverbially “ringer” (Platoon for God sakes!?!?), but I have to vote for Arachnophobia just to watch her jump out of her skin this time. LOL. Sorry. Edit: to add LOL

R F.

Was hoping for Willard(2003) Not enough Crispin Glover on the channel

mikethemotormouth

Personally I think Deep Blue Sea would be a better option than The Meg but she might like it

John Cohen

Nice to see a couple of my suggestions on the poll. Arachnophobia and The Descent, wish Train to Busan was on there too, maybe next time. Hope you'll be watching The Haunting of Hill House, great 10 episode series. ✌

Danny (Icarus)

I'm pulling for CFTBL,what happened to 'Them'' 1954?

Celeste McAllister

Yup. I prefer 1933 but man… I have enjoyed 1933 and 2005 so very much more than 1976!

JayPeaBee

THE DESCENT!!! SCARE YOUR PAJAMAS OFF!!!

Alina Jones

1976!!!! This shouldn’t even be on the list!! It’s either 1933 or 2005. 1933 first would be best.👍

Wil Olandria

On this list, I'm going with ARACHNAPHOBIA.

Stick Figure Studios

I removed it.

Stranger2Reality

You're watching THE THING? Are you able to watch a movie entirely with your eyes closed? God speed, Cassie.

Dave Sees Movies

That would have been one of my suggestions if I had the energy to recommend it earlier in the week! :)

Philip Alan

Carly had better be busy the night The Descent gets watched!

Kent Theaker

Why the spoiler

Coleton B.

The cool thing about The Descent I would add is that if you allow it to be, it's a real thinker. Who is the real bad guy?

Jeffery Parks

For the record… Carly could handle Reign of Fire. It’s more of an action movie than a scary film.

djKENTO

I think it may be has to do with the type of horror. When a lot of the scare factor comes from the situation, the suspense, etc, I think that’s easier for many people to enjoy than when all of the horror comes only from creative and graphic, gory violence against a variety of people via a variety of methods.

JC762

I would say the fly will be harder for her than the thing. Just a guess at this point we’ll see.

JC762

You're going to genuinely enjoy Arachnophobia, as it's more "light horror" than a really scary movie. It's actually quite funny and is definitely a crowd pleaser, which is why it was a big hit when it came out. I think you'll have a lot of fun with that one. The Descent is probably going to make you feel more claustrophobic than anything.

Stranger2Reality

Believe this 🐴🪓 🤣🤣

William Bryan

Not sure why the 1976 version of King Kong is in this list. The 2005 version with Jack Black and Naomi Watts is far and away a better version.

Jeffery Parks

Hahaha, THE THING is going to give you a heart attack. Just look at it as a rollercoaster ride and I think you'll be fine. You have really grown since you started the channel, you can handle this one. We believe in you.

Patrick Flanagan

Yes Carly, yes

J.J

The thing

Jacob Lantom

Arachnaphobia is ahead as I write this. With Jeff Daniels and John Goodman both in the movie, you know there is going to be an element of comedy in it. Spiders are creepy and even seem to have intelligence if you have ever starred a big one down.

It really does baffle me sometimes when films like the descent get on polls and are considered light horror for Cassie to handle. That is not light horror lol. It's about as straight up down center horror alley as you can get. Maybe its a signal that she's graduated past that stage. I don't feel the thing or the fly are that scary, more disturbing. We'll prolly get to the point where she just watches every horror film except the exorcist. All damn good movies tho.

Skip which one!?

Coleton B.

I love the 1976 remake of King Kong but the 2005 version by Peter Jackson is better.

Marko T.

Cassie, I think you are a decent, upright, bodaciously awesome human being. Judging your reaction to the shining (trust me, there are scarier movies made than that one), skip this one. I'm saying this because I actually care

Jacob Lantom

The Descent will scare the bejesus out of you Cassie. Just saying

William Bryan

Of these, definitly Arachnaphobia.

William Bryan

Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange are great but for me it is 100% nostalgia injected memory pops I’ll admit

Jason Dolan

It’s pretty mild unless you have serious, uh, arachnophobia. 😏

JC762

same. Not as good as the original but still a good movie.

GODZILLA 2014 and KING KONG 1976 the two odd lot versions of each franchise. GODZILLA 2014 is not the traditional look and story to Godzilla, which was later returned to. Same for King Kong as Peter JacKson, in the best version of King Kong ever done, returned to the 1920s rather than a modern age version of KING KONG which is what the 1976 movie did. IMHO, you should do a Godzilla week and a King Kong week, and these two movies are ones I would not include. The obvious conclusion to those two weeks would be GODZILLA VS. KING KONG 2021.

I'm a little surprised Underwater didn't make it on here

Nathan Jasper, the Artist Formerly Known as Primary

Me too. Fantastic reaction potential! “What in the actual crap?!”

JC762

The Descent ?!?! No Carly so ...

John Drake

Godzilla 2014 and Kong are the definitive monster movies, it sucks they are not doing good in the poll

LightsCameraJake

The Thing may be the best horror film ever made and is a personal favorite. I'd vote for Godzilla but I feel like you need to go back to the beginning and watch the 1954 original. You'd still enjoy the 2014, sure, but you gotta know where you came from. Kong '76 is just so much worse than the original. Watch the original or nothing. Arachnophobia is so much fun and The Descent is incredibly good, another favorite of mine, so I hope you watch both of they stay on top. Very excited for this.

Godzilla Jones

Reign of fire I think is one that would be really good for a reaction. Even if it doesn’t win this poll, just as a general action adventure movie I think Cassie would like it. again, I’m basing my suggestions on what she will enjoy and have a good reaction to not necessarily the best movies. I didn’t vote for it on this poll because I think there’s some better ones for scary not too scary month. The other poll in particular has some whoppers, along with the Thing I hope Cassie is prepared for what people may put her through with these votes. 😬

JC762

I love 76 KING KONG

Jason Dolan

Why is Indiana Jones 4 up on YouTube but not here?

Stan the Man

Cloverfield didn't make the cut.....

Robin Craft

THE DESCENT

Odd Thomas

If Arachnophobia wins I won’t be watching it. It traumatised me enough when I was a kid, I don’t need to relive that.

Luke Godfrey

I can watch either one and enjoy it. But 1933 King Kong is a good movie for it's time.

David Freese

, 26 people are evil lol. I'm one of em.."The Descent"

Mike Stevenson

Oh - King Kong 1976. King Kong 1933 is better, IMO, and other fans of monster movies might agree. It’d be interesting to see what they think.

JayPeaBee

Peter Jackson's King Kong is better...

Shaun2342!

I haven’t seen Aracnophobia since I was a kid. I remember it being a creepy, goofy Amblin-esque time!

Alex Villarreal

OK, I mentioned this on the 'scary but not too scary' poll but I'm going to put in another write-in vote for The Host (2006)!

Henry Graham

I already mentioned you’d love Arachnophobia but I have a soft spot for Reign of Fire 😂

Wes

THE DESCENT... ... ... OK.

Steven Perez

Are we still having a hang out tonight?
