Hey guys! Here is the YT edit for The Game, which will premiere shortly. Hope you enjoy!

*Update, fixed the issue with video freezing!

Here is the full reaction to this movie.

[YT Edit] The Game (1997)

Comments

You MUST do a “SHORT” on this one! 🤣The slo-mo reaction of you both WAS PRICELESS!!!😂✌🏼❤️

Carol Rocha

By far one of your best reactions. I watch the Full Watch along and then the next day the YouTube edit. I obviously have seen this great movie a few times before, but watching both of your reactions throughout was a delight.

Adam Doyle

I don’t know if it’s a deliberate choice, but you have two copies of the film online. One unlisted and one listed. I only discovered the listed one accidentally after watching the unlisted one. It’s a shame as your views are split between the two videos.

Sean

You should watch Seven quite intense but a very good movie

S Elphick

Sean Penn deserved a severe beatdown. No way would anyone be ok with this at the end.

Bill W

I loved you guys reactions to this. It’s such a clever film.

Sean

That's kinda how I felt when I saw the movie a long time ago. It really angered me that so-called "friends" would intentionally traumatize someone, and I've never watched it again since. I hadn't thought about this movie for many years but it all came rushing back when I saw this movie reaction posted.

Michael H. the Lord of the Legacy

I pay for Prime, I pay for Netflix, I pay for Hulu, I pay for Peacock, Paramount+, Apple TV, HBO Max and Disney+ (in addition to Patreon). I pay for movies. God forbid streaming services I pay for actually carry the movies I want to watch.

Story Archer

I love that you guys were almost offended by it all, like how dare they make us go through all that with him! How dare he be ok with it in the end. 😂

Ria Grix

I know a hidden gem 😉🙂😁

Björn Karlsson

A hidden gem. I’ve always liked this one.

Rudy Hernandez

I remember seeing this in the theaters, 'we' were soo shocked we didn't say anything about it for about a half hour. Then it all came out! We were also scared to our cores, shocked, surprised, etc. I think that scare and shock had us contemplating its implications. I think it also 'made me forget about this one.' I was watching the YT edit and my wife saw it - she said that she remembered watching it and notes that its good but she too doesn't remember much of it now. So I guess I don't have a choice but to get it lol

Randolph Tirazona

I loved your reaction to this...I love 90s mystery thrillers to follow on with the Michael Douglas theme I'd recommend a Perfect Murder another 90s mystery thriller with Michael as well as another of his movies Don't Say a Word another mystery thriller.

Chris

This was one of those that kind of snuck up on me as "oh never saw this, guess I will check it out." Glad I did, vary unique and shocking a bit.

Michael J

Just sad no one makes movie like this anymore

Russell Teo

7:05 -- that guy was in "Independence Day"

mhz

When watching this movie the key is to not get bogged down with all the nitpicks, like how they could have pulled that off. Just suspend your disbelief and go with it. And as to what he got out of it, Conrad asks him in the beginning: "What do you get for the man who has everything?" The answer is you give them an appreciation for all that they have by tricking them into thinking they'd lost everything.

Stranger2Reality

Btw I knew an assistant editor on this one and he carved his initials “JV” into the scratchy old film look in the opening sequence. Also that sequence is cool because it slowly zooms from an old square-ish aspect ratio, to the full anamorphic widescreen frame. It’s so subtle I didn’t notice it the first time I saw it.

Maxoutkast

Really fun watching y’all in this one. So it’s actually pretty simple I think: as soon as the game started everything around him was controlled by CRS. The only real question is, when did The Game ACTUALLY begin? The logical answer is when they say it did, in his house, on the TV. “This is your game, and welcome to it.” However, I’ve seen this film probably 30 times over the years, and my gut tells me it starts as soon as his brother hands him the card. It’s fun to think about when you watch it again. Suspension of disbelief is required at the highest of levels to fully enjoy this movie, but I love it.

Maxoutkast

David Fincher does incredible work

Gene Crossin

Love the spontaneity between the sisters. It makes for a more lively viewing and reaction.

Jeffrey Schmidbauer

God forbid you have to pay for a movie!

David Crabtree

There is literally no streaming service where you can watch this movie. I belong to pretty much everyone and you have to rent or buy it on every single one of them. How is that even possible these days?

Story Archer

This was, by far, my favorite reaction. The movie was SO well done, it essentially (as Cassie said) makes you the mark. It really needs to be watched multiple times to truly appreciate it, and to catch all the "clues".

Dan Campbell

I feel like this should be the first movie you guys actually do a second "First Watch" because there is SO much to take in, and it really blows your mind, right to the very end, the first time through. It would be fun to see tour reactions a second time.

Rick Adams

Great flick, but one of those rarities: a movie whose theatrical cut is better than the director’s cut. The director’s cut explains too much. Not knowing exactly why and what’s happening is one of the great strengths of this movie IMO.

Just Plain Bob

Now for some Donnie Darko

Michael J Paulus

I was able to watch the whole thing. Just ended at 7pm Pacific time.

Michael J Paulus

The Game was unique to Michael Douglas. He was already suffering from deep, deep trauama. If anyone else played, they'd have a different game.

David Blount

Hurts my soul to hear Cassie refer to the vastly inferior Wall Street sequel with Shia Lablah, blithely unaware of the far better original 1987 movie.

Just Plain Bob

No good for it to come back at that point. It’s done. I missed it. 🙃

Carol Rocha

Good one!

René Ferland

Relax everyone, it's just a game. 😄

Zane From Canada

Amazed it took this long, tbh.

Brent Petty

It comes back at 40:47.

Brent Petty

I think the copyright goblins are after pib because she's so popular.

Bill Hayden

Me either 😂🙇

Robin Craft

Pretty sure the video was faulty, as the one linked here on Patreon went to crap 27min into the video.

Kim Brink

Brad Pitt. Likely the ONLY reason.

Brent Petty

Guessing there's an issue with the edit since it fails at about 27 min

Alex

Not the twist I was expecting.

Brent Petty

The YouTube live stream just got nuked

Adino1

Premiere just ended abruptly. Copyright or video was faulty.

Brian McGovern

Same here

Kim Brink

The video fails 28min in for me

Kim Brink

Yeah, it craps out at 27:41 for me.

Stranger2Reality

Me too.

nouvelle_vague

Damn. I was enjoying the reaction too. I wonder if their father has seen their reaction?

Brian McGovern

Yes

Louis Chapman

Is anyone experiencing an issue around 27 min mark?

Brian McGovern

I love this movie so darn much. I'm gonna watch it this weekend. Was a surprise hit for me finally seeing it 20 years after it's release.

Louis Chapman

Hey, gonna miss the premiere, sorry! Watching A Haunting in Venice tonight. Love all the Poirot movies, classic and new :)

Nathan Jasper, the Artist Formerly Known as Primary

I have no idea how you saw seven before this channel hahaha.. it’s a hard watch
