[YT Edit] Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997)

Hey guys! Here is the YT edit for Austin Powers, which will premiere shortly on YT. Hope you enjoy!

*There were some copyright issues on this one so we had to use the Patreon player.

Here is the full reaction to this movie.

[YT Edit] Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997)

Comments

by the way James Bond is a parody of a secret agent. That's why he's never covert and always giving out his real name. He is you know, quite the international man of mystery. In contrast Austin at least pretends to be "Richie Cunningham" lol... with wife "Oprah" (names from television 10 years before he was unfrozen in 1997)

Em McG

I have to wonder if they purposefully made a "cat" joke where Dr. Evil's cat was hairy in the 60s, but then hairless in the 90s.

Nathan Bishop

I just got to this. My life has been far too busy lately. Your joy in this movie was exactly what I needed. Thank you.

Dissonant Bard

Back up!

Coleton B.

I feel the same way about Turner and Hooch!

Mike LL

Axe Murderer is on her Letterbxd list, along with the two Wayne's World movies.

Mike LL

Why do you hate-watch her? I'm sure she appreciates your views anyhow! Very odd behaviour to watch someone you claim you dislike so much.

kaiielle

I like them, hard to do stuff like this anymore. Cheese fun was good times at one point.

Michael J

Yea no politics,,,,

Michael J

You concern me.

Jon Johns

That explains the intelligence level, but in any case.. Continue to shout at the sky, James! Carry on!

Coleton B.

Really strengthening your case to have your privileges reinstated on YouTube, eh Harvey? Edit: James' comment before he edited it twice said this: "Piss off, Coleton B. You have no power here! :D"

Coleton B.

You really should come join us on discord, we keep screen grabs of all your comments before you edit, or remove them. Also, I wish you had as much sympathy, or empathy for Ashleigh Burton...

Jon Johns

Unnecessary comment. First, Cassie enjoyed it; Therefore, you're wrong. Second, girls are allowed to like Austin Powers without your input or connotation. Third, Carly is a big girl, I'm sure she could take care of herself. Edit: For anyone playing the home game, James' original comment before he edited this three times said this: "Poor Cassie, thank you for not exposing Carly to this obviously "boys only" type of movie."

Coleton B.

Can we leave politics out, please? Geez.

Jeffrey Schmidbauer

I think you're on the wrong video, brother.

Cassie I loved every minute of this reactions. Thoroughly enjoyed every guffaw, chuckle, OmGosh and especially the eye rolls. As others have mentioned, there were a few Bond movies that you skipped over that were obviously referenced. (Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, Diamonds Are Forever). You definitely would have noticed those moments. The films also include homages to other '60s spy films- Dean Martin's "Matt Helm", James Coburn's "Derek Flint", the original Bond spoof "Casino Royale" with David Niven and "Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine".

Bill W

I'm pretty sure she's seen that one. I think it's in her Letterboxd list.

Bill W

Please edit this post before she reads it.

Tim Raths

I support your enthusiasm for the next two films. I hope she does watch them. By the way, the key word in my original reply was “Surprise.” ;-) ;-)

Larry Darrell

True but they are still fun.

Javier Hernandez

Sadly the video was taken down on YouTube.

Tim Raths

Not my cup of tea. The parodies are not even funny or have any substance. Would have been panned & cancelled by Liberals/Left for blatant sexism and racism if it was released right now.

Russell Teo

An "evil petting" zoo? Eww! [Nota bene: I did not say "ewe."]

Happy Hanukkah

In my world, “An evil petting zoo” is still a thing 🤣🤣

Steve Slatten

Almost all of them, actually. Hopefully someone removes this comment before she reads it.

Tyler Foster

Some of those are “Surprise” Cameos, just sayin’

Larry Darrell

Javier Hernandez

..............let him have thy cloak also. 🙏

james flack

Through no fault of your own. 25:55 Ill-tempered sea bass vs Johann Sebastian Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier. (Yes, I know, why did you even bother? :-) )

Happy Hanukkah

That went over my head.

Barry Justice

I missed the launch of this movie reaction so I watched it later when I wasn't distracted by the live chat postings. It was great to see Cassie just sit back and laugh and enjoy the escapist entertainment that Austin Powers brings. I'm sure it was a relief after all those heavily emotionally stressful movies she's seen lately. It's therapeutic just to have fun with mindless entertainment once in a while. Keep doing what you're doing, Cassie (and Carly). Thank you for allowing us into your home and sharing the experience; albeit via WI-FI.

Jeffrey Schmidbauer

It’s in the email notification for this post.

Luke Godfrey

Will somebody take those poor bass to Johann Sebastian?

Happy Hanukkah

Mike Myers honouring Sean Connery: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQYp8xJ4kpo

Cassie, this movie doesn’t just spoof James Bond, but a variety of cultural touchstones from the 1960s. For instance, the quick dance interludes in the movie are almost certainly a reference to a comedy/variety tv show that aired in the late 60s called Laugh In. Goldie Hawn first became a recognizable face thanks to her role on the show.

Just Plain Bob

For a second I thought you had skipped the second movie, then I realised you just used the cover from the third movie by mistake. At least now you know there’s two more to watch, hint, hint!

Luke Godfrey

hahaha

Cassie

If it weren't for PIB, I would have been able to avoid this forever...

Bert Towle

very good. very good. NO SOUP FOR YOU!!

Philip Alan

The group therapist is Carrie Fisher. "Mustafa" is Will Ferrell. The blackjack dealer is the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. If you watched the music video of Austin's band "Ming Tea" it features musicians Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles and Matthew Sweet. That was the original concept for Austin Powers, then Myers first wife suggested he make a movie based on the character.

Bill W

Dr. Evil's voice is Mike Myers impression of Dana Carvey's impression of Lorne Michaels.

Bill W

And to think you put the kibosh on my favorite comedy, The Naked Gun. Tsk tsk. (I also really like all the Austin Powers movies.).

Stephen Malloy

These movies only get funnier. 🤣

GomezAddams

I'm with you Cassie. I prefer Dr. Evil over Austin Powers! I hope you get round to watching the other two films soon.

ROBERT CLARK

The sequels are even better.

KauaiKeith

These movies are the epitome of silliness and fun. Dr. Evil is a fantastic Mike Myers creation.

Ria Grix

There’s something so enjoyable watching Cassie laugh at a silly movie. This was THE movie everybody quoted back when I as in high school.

Andrew Hogan

Team Dr.Evil!!

Celeste McAllister

Most spoofed is probably THUNDERBALL, but some YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE, and even some of the original DR. NO.

Richard Bourne

Some great facial expressions from Cassie when Austin is using his charms on the Ladies. She is definitely immune!

JC762

If you find yourself liking Mike Myers movies, I highly recommend So I Married An Axe Murderer. I absolutely love that movie and it's hysterical.

Stranger2Reality

One of my favorite Mike Myers movies, very campy, but funny. 👍

Danny (Icarus)

Wrong title card, but yeah. Hope you watch the other two soon because that was a lot of fun and they're all just hilarious.

Godzilla Jones

Sort of cheesy but has funny parts

Darrell berger

Haha Goldmember! Whoopsy Daisy! 😆
