CREED III (2023) - Full Reaction

I was unsure about this movie for the first half, but the second half really moved me and had me emotional - feeling, and dodging! It did break my heart a little that Rocky wasn't in it but we both really liked it in the end! I know some of you who have not seen it yet, so I won't say anything else! FIGHT!

They’re back! The female versions of Siskel & Ebert.

One of the best fighting movies I've seen.

Never back down

Can we get a fighting movie poll Cassie, there are a lot of good ones out there,"Never back down" , "undesputed", "Ip man".

After Bond Films, there are other spy action movies you can watch. You would love the Yash Raj Spy Universe it's an Indian shared universe centered on a series of spy action films, which feature various fictional RAW agents, start it by watching Ek Tha Tiger(2012) Featuring Salman Khan, and the sequel to it Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) these movies feature more fun romance and action trills side by side and the next 2 are spin-off which makes it a larger spy story with War featuring Hrithik Roshan this one is very much like a high-stake mission impossible ride with a face-off twist. Pathaan is a comeback story of a beloved Indian Movie star Shah Rukh Khan after 4-year hiatus. If you have followed the actor it's very meta and you'll want to explore his Romantic films after this. So please watch them with Carly you'll have an incredible journey.

Nice reaction ladies! Great to see the band back together! 😀 This was my first time watching this movie as well. Overall, I thought it was very good. Michael Jordan did a great job directing. Acting was excellent. And there were genuine heartwarming moments like those with Apollo’s family. Not sure about the isolation sequence during the final fight. Where the crowd disappears. I understand what they were trying to do. But it wasn’t my favorite. Also, no Sly Stallone was kind of a bummer. Overall though, I enjoyed the film and your reaction!

With the mixed comments this was actually better than I thought it might be. I definitely felt the missing rocky but at a certain point I'm not sure how you would bring him in and have it feel organic. That having been said I just never felt as connected with the creed characters as much as the og rocky characters. Nice to have Carly back for this one

Yawn

Oh no! His defense attorney says he didn’t do it! He MUST be innocent!!!

Just Plain Bob

Perhaps you can post a recent article after some of the facts have come out. https://www.newsweek.com/jonathan-majors-assault-court-lawyer-trial-girlfriend-1817943

Blood Raven

Ah good, I was worried you got into problems with copyright or smthg

Dioskur

That must be why multiple women have come forward to say that he assaulted them as well. https://variety.com/2023/film/news/jonathan-majors-more-alleged-abuse-victims-cooperate-with-da-office-assault-1235588870/

Just Plain Bob

Yeah but the case against Majors fell apart under the bare minimum of scrutiny.

Sorry I don't know what happened, looks like a draft was published without the video or something... anyway working now!

Cassie

Sorry I'm not sure what happened, but it's up now!

Cassie

Shucks, was just about to watch along

"This video has been removed by the creator" Any comment on the removal? What happened?

This was a first time watch for me. It is amazing that after so many years this film series still gives the same feels and thrills. Not the best in the series and definitely far from the worst. Congratulations to Michael B. for graduating into the director's chair.

Nice touch was Damian washing his socks in the bathroom sink. A bit of 18 yrs and you can't let go of some habits.

Anthony Perez

I guess after having a memorable villain using a rare name and making that association in people, it is becoming a self-generating circle. There are a couple of such names, like Norman or even more so Hannibal. 🤔

Hey Cassie, there were some issues with Stallone and production so he wasn’t a part of this movie and in an interview said he would never watch it. The whole thing makes me sad. I haven’t seen it yet because I knew Rocky wouldn’t be there. I was afraid it would lose that magic.

Tara

Without Sylvester Stallone, the Rocky magic just isn't in this one. It's a solid film, but for me the Rocky film series ends with Creed 2.

David Crabtree

Roman Polanski was convicted of rape, but fled the country. After earning that the judge planned to reject his plea deal and impose a prison term instead of probation, he fled to Paris. A convicted rapist who fled from facing justice, yet Hollywood still celebrates him.

David Crabtree

It's always nice to see a character with the same first name as mine in a major movie, but it disheartens me that it usually seems to be the villain. :-( Anyway, I enjoyed this one, but it's definitely the weakest of the three. Like you I missed Rocky, but it was still an engaging story competently directed by Jordan.

Stick Figure Studios

Admittedly not the same without you know who, but gotta say still pretty darn good

JL_83

I disagree. I think Roman Polanski is a sexual predator that raped a 13 year old girl and I’ll say so. I think Bill Cosby is a sexual abuser of women and I’ll say so. I think Ezra Miller is an abuser of women and a pedophile and I’ll say so. All stand accused, none have been proven guilty (Cosby’s conviction having been overturned). Just because the court system hasn’t dealt with them doesn’t make them factually innocent, only presumed innocent in a court of law. As for this not being the forum, I would ordinarily agree. I’m not a fan of cancel culture. But can we really not agree that assaulting women should be called out?

Just Plain Bob

Carly's back- I love this for us! Glad to see the team back on their home court. Looking forward to the reaction, not looking forward to no Rocky🥺

Dave

Bob, nothing has been proven against Jonathan Majors and this is Not the right place to bring this up. this place is about the movies, PERIOD!

Gary Smith

I’ve been a boxing fan since growing up watching Ali in the 70s and have watched literally hundreds of boxing matches since then. I enjoyed the entire Rocky franchise up til this one (well . . . maybe not Rocky V so much). Oh sure, there were times when it was unrealistic. But nothing like this. I have never, never seen two fighters stand across the ring from each other and roar. Absurd. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it. The boxing scenes in this movie were genuinely the worst I’ve ever seen on film. But the real problem was that this story just lacked heart. And that heart is provided by Rocky. Time for actor Michael B. Jordan and (alleged) serial woman abuser Jonathan Majors to move onto something else.

Just Plain Bob

I liked it, maybe not as much as the first, but right there with the sequel. Worth watching! Did miss Rocky though!

Cole Jennett

It’s definitely the worst of the trilogy but still entertaining!

Wes

I'll watch it tomorrow morning..06:54mnt,C3 it got me,a mother's love,a dad's dedication and devotion lasts forever..they Did mention Rocky,I would have liked it more if they had shown his place at rest next to Adrian..
