Hey shamlamadingdongs!
I hope you are having a great week! I am sorry there will only be one upload this week (maybe two if we can get home in one day) I prom prom I will make it up to you! We are camping with my parents for a couple days this week, and then trekking back to Utah. There will still be 3 uploads this week on YT and I will try to do 4 Patreon next week! I have really loved our time in Canada with my family, but I am also looking forward to being back in our own space and own routines. I feel like coming home to Alberta for most of July always grounds me and reminds me of what truly matters. I hope my kids have the best memories of their summers here.
Did you see the two courtroom polls? I am so excited about them, like I said in the post, I LOVE this genre! The Finale poll will go up on Thursday with the top 3 from each!
What do you guys want to see more/less of from PiB in the second half of the year? I'm doing a lot of planning for the upcoming months and would love to get your feedback?
Thanks for everything always, all at once!

a moment of pure delight

I will second a recommendation for The Thomas Crown affair (1968). The first one marginally over the second one. Also Secondhand Lions (2003) and Gambit (the 1966 one).

2023-09-02 03:09:54 +0000 UTCOr the swedish movie Beyond the border. 😉😉 It was actually a big pleasent suprise that you requested that movie 😊😊😊 Have you seen any of Lukas Moodysson's movies? Show me love, Together, Lilya 4-ever and We are the best are really good. But Lilya 4-ever is a tough one 😬😬

2023-08-04 23:02:30 +0000 UTCI would like to recommend a "Mindbenders" poll. That is to say films that don't necessarily follow the normal film structure or theme, a la Predestination(2014), The Prestige(2006), Cloud Atlas(2012), Looper(2012), 12 Monkeys(1995), Memento(2000), Vanilla Sky (2001) [Another Tom Cruise Film], Fight Club(1998), and I believe arguably one of the greatest love stories put to film The Fountain(2006). For some strange reason though almost no one agrees with me on The Fountain. These films usually require some fierce attention to detail while watching, and can even be more fruitful on second, third, or even fourth viewings. Of course, only the first we would share on this channel.

2023-08-02 16:44:33 +0000 UTCI'd also like to recommend a movie called Big Man Japan. Not because I think it will make a poll, let alone win, but because it's Kaiju/comedy film that's actually really funny. Do yourself a favor if you're into Kaiju, Ultraman, etc. - watch this movie.

2023-08-02 16:15:17 +0000 UTCMore movie I like and less I don't like. Sounds good but I think i see a flaw in that plan ;-)
Richard Maurer
2023-08-02 16:07:16 +0000 UTCAs a horror fan I actually agree that there's more bad horror films than good. There are two reasons for this. The main one is that since the 60's low-budget movie producers realized that horror films almost always make a return on their investment, so they've been flooding the market with them every since. Many of these are directed by novices who never go anywhere in show business. The relative few good ones that come out of this process are either directed by talents who move on to more mainstream movies or are directed by dedicated horror fans who go on to make even more good (or even great) horror films. The other reason is that major studio produce bigger budget ones but these are seldom very good either, as again they're more interested in making money than producing good horror.
Richard Maurer
2023-08-02 16:03:35 +0000 UTCAlso, anyone who says there's not a lot of good horror movies doesn't watch a lot of horror movies. The real problem is that most casual fans don't actually watch the good ones, so you get polls full of Scream and Conjuring sequels.
Richard Maurer

2023-08-02 15:45:09 +0000 UTCHey Cassie, I think you should do way less Patreon polls, and you pick the films you fancy viewing. Just try to eat into that Top 20 of your list. Or you put up a list of themes with movies already picked and we vote on the theme. Theme weeks are good rather than months. I’d love to see you branch out of your comfort zones, do more horror. But not for the whole month of October. There’s way more bad horror than good.
Biggman83

2023-08-02 13:29:38 +0000 UTCA list of the essential Godzilla movies - some may disagree, but they are wrong ;-) . Gojira and/or Godzilla (1954) -basically the same movie with scenes edited and replaced with added American scenes. The entire Heisei era series: The Return of Godzilla aka Godzilla 1985 (1984) Godzilla vs. Biollante (89) Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (91) Godzilla vs. Mothra (92) Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (93) Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla (94) Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (95) . Godzilla 2000: Millennium (00) Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (01) Shin Godzilla (16) . The American made Legendary Series: Godzilla (14) Godzilla: King of the Monsters (19) Godzilla vs. Kong (21) You could also put Kong: Skull Island in between G:KotM and GvK if you wanted to be a completest.

2023-08-02 13:04:32 +0000 UTCCassie, I'd say don't try to do too much, do what ever amount feels right to you. Now, on to asking for stuff: I will of course once again ask for a Classic Horror Poll and a Asian Martial Arts Poll. But any change from the constant action movies would be welcome.

2023-08-02 12:48:47 +0000 UTCYeah, take away what little (and weak) horror we get on this channel. I don't think so. Them's Fighten Words!!!!!!!!!!!!

2023-08-02 12:42:25 +0000 UTCI agree with everything you said - Except about multi season shows. It cuts her off from some of the best series ever. There's a reason these shows last multiple seasons. And I'd kill (metaphorically) to see her watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Richard Maurer
2023-08-02 12:37:21 +0000 UTCShe refuses to watch The Exorcist. And the Conjuring films are just mainstream jump scare films, there are many better paranormal films she could watch. Like Ringu (The Ring), Ju-On: The Grudge, Sinister, Paranormal Activity, etc..

2023-08-02 08:08:49 +0000 UTCA thought occurred to me, if by chance you are doing 4 reactions next week, perhaps it would be the perfect time to do the 2 Grumpy Old Men movies to mix with 2 other movies?
Shawn Kildal
2023-08-02 06:52:00 +0000 UTCStar Trek once Bond is done with is first on my wish list. Maybe more suspense movies such as Fatal Attraction, Escape From Alcatraz, Executive Decision, No Escape, or Cape Fear, as examples. The 2 Grumpy Old Men movies you would love. I'm sure you already have in mind several movies just for October. Please also consider Cujo and The Crazies. Since you enjoyed The Last of Us, I'm sure you'll enjoy The Crazies as well I believe. Don't let the title sway you otherwise. Maybe instead of doing a movie poll, do an actor poll, or director poll. A list of Best Picture movies that YOU want to see and do a poll on that?
Shawn Kildal

2023-08-02 03:35:41 +0000 UTC"What do you guys want to see more/less of from PiB in the second half of the year? I'm doing a lot of planning for the upcoming months and would love to get your feedback?" I'm glad you asked Cassie. Let's get more comedies on the docket, and take a break from a lot of the action films. Pure comedies, not just romantic comedies. Would love to see The Planet of the Apes series be your next series once you've wrapped up James Bond. How about another Classics Chaos Bracket? You need to watch more great older movies, especially the black & white ones. How about an October poll for Halloween? Any chance that you will consider watching DARK CITY in October, even though it's not a horror movie. I'm giving you gems here, Cassie! Please consider it. :)
Mark Vaderr
2023-08-02 03:28:30 +0000 UTCI did see the courtroom polls but that's a genre that's not really up my alley. And what would I like from PiB this year? I'd like to see more movies that I like and less movies that I don't like. -I'd like to see more Planners app movies incorporated. Whether by polls or like someone else suggested you just picking movies from that site. -I also like the themed polls (like by actor or director or decade) and would like to see another animated movie on here. -If there was something I'd like to see less of its movie series with 4 or more movies in them.

2023-08-02 01:07:42 +0000 UTCI'm sure I'm in the minority on this, but I would say less horror movies in the month of October. I know it's Halloween month and all, and horror is the theme, but there's just not a lot of good horror movies. Most are pretty cheesy with gaping plot holes. I would also like to see more movies from Planner's app incorporated into the channel.

2023-08-01 23:18:29 +0000 UTCLove the pictures! I agree with a lot of people in the comments about what to see on the channel. Personally, I would love to see a few more stand-alone films that you or Carly have picked yourselves to sprinkle in between poll winners, themes, series. The picks could be done through the Popcorn Requests app where you just go in and pick something that not only is appealing to you but has been requested. And it'd be fun if it was a surprise for us too. Like no random draw, just pick. I know that one of the benefits of being here is the polls, but it's also fun to see reactors pick movies that they want to watch! I've had a really good time when you've done weekly themes in the past and I would like to see this maybe once every two months or so? I'd love to see a director week, or actor week, or maybe a classics week with a specific decade? The polls for these would be fun too cause you'd be picking the top three and then I feel like the community doesn't have to focus so much on having the winner be a tie between two films in order to get you to watch both, because you're committing to three anyway. This would be fun to put on a rotation and would get some more variety too and then it spoils us because we get to see 3 reactions in a row that kind of connect together in some way.

NO, THUNDERBALL, FOR YOUR EYES ONLY and THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH) -Starting a new series... hopefully STAR TREK and preferably beginning with the 1979 motion picture (although you may want to consider watching an episode or two of the original series first). -More foreign films -More classics (including musicals and maybe even silent films) -More Hitchcock. -More Coen brothers (maybe a poll) -More Spielberg (again, maybe a poll). Whatever you do come though, I'm sure we'll be fun. Keep up the good work. :-)

2023-08-01 21:01:30 +0000 UTCHi Cassie. I am with Matt. It would be great if you watched at least one classic film each month. Remember that they are the ones that started it all and to really understand later films, you need a classic film background. I am talking about films made before the 70's, and mostly the 30s, 40s and 50s. Films by great directors like John Ford, George Cukor, Frank Capra, Billy Wilder, Alfred Hitchcock, John Huston, Howard Hawks, Preston Sturges, Orsen Welles... so many. These are the directors that people like Scorsese, Spielberg and Tarantino immulate. You could start with "It Happened One Night", the first film to win all top 5 Oscars and the film that made the undershirt business drop 75% because Gable didn't wear one. Here's hoping for a date with a classic each month!

2023-08-01 20:48:12 +0000 UTCMore- variety. This includes trying not to watch the movies that a dozen other channels have watched. Less- polls. This would help with the above, watch all those movies you have said, "I've been wanting to see this," about. A lot less- the bajillion movie series. For the love of Pete, please, no more long series.

2023-08-01 20:46:00 +0000 UTCI'd love to see some Irish films on the channel! There's some really great ones but nobody will react to them as they're not well known (That's completely fair though).

2023-08-01 20:01:43 +0000 UTCShamlamadingdongs? You just made me think of Animal House LOL🤣 A comedy I highly recommend you react to lol! Gone In 60 Seconds, I'm really looking forward for that reaction, can't wait! I've recently watched your full lengths of The Equalizer and North by Northwest, both were great, loved them both! Very nice pics you posted here, that ice cream cone looks yummy, nice scenery shot of that mountain, and such a beautiful sky picture! No worries about posting, take as much time as you need, spending time with family is always important! I voted on the courtroom polls, very clever making them like Exibits A & B lol! Hmmm...🤔 what do I want to see more/less of this second half of the year? Well, I would like to see you react to some more underrated films of the 90's and there's a whole bunch of them I'd recommend, here's some that comes to mind: The Rocketeer (91) Dragonheart (96) The Shadow (94) Iron Will (94) The Phantom (96) Cutthroat Island (95) The Long Kiss Goodnight (96) You know I was gonna put Iron Will in there lol! These are all movies I grew up watching as a kid and I've loved them ever since, they deserve more love! Especially Cutthroat Island, now before anyone says anything, I'm aware it was a box office bomb, but I say it's awesome! It's got everything you would expect in a pirate film, a bad-A protagonist, great action, a villain you love to hate, really great sword fighting choreography, a plot about burried treasure, some romance, a climactic ship battle at sea, and of course an incredible musical score that rivals that of Pirates of the Caribbean! It deserves more love, but that's just me! Would be really fun if Carly watched all of these with you lol! Anyway, that's my idea of what I want to see more of, hope you'll consider it lol! Safe travels back home from Canada, hope you had a fun time with family and the kids, you (and Carly) are the best, love and support always, god bless you, and as always [snaps fingers and winks] stay classy Cassie🥰😁😉👍🙏🌹

2023-08-01 19:55:55 +0000 UTCWhat would I like to see? I'd like to see Cassie and Carly continuing to enjoy what they are doing. With October's exception, I'd love to see lighter, more comedic films enter the PiB fold. Marx Brothers, Chaplin, Lloyd, Keaton. Also, I agree with big big monster movies, the stuff of 1950's drive-ins and theater matinees. Sure, they aren't the greatest movies ever made, but they sure are fun. Most important, though, is that there still be a sense of enjoyment and wonder for Cassie and Carly. After all, it isn't really work if you enjoy what you are doing. Best reaction channel around.

2023-08-01 19:49:44 +0000 UTCAnother great Josh Brolin film is Ridley Scott's American Gangster (2007) starring Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington. An underrated gem!

2023-08-01 19:43:20 +0000 UTCHi Cassie: I'd love to see more Cary Grant make it onto your viewing list. CHARADE would probably be very easy for you to get into and enjoy. It also has the added benefit of having an absolutely radiant Audrey Hepburn in it. Just a fun, fun riff on a Hitchcock film. After that, I think you owe it to yourself to do a deep dive into some classic screwball comedies. IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT, BRINGING UP BABY, THE AWFUL TRUTH, and many more. You'll have a blast.
Matt Rose
2023-08-01 19:42:33 +0000 UTCTwo films for future consideration both with Josh Brolin coincidentally. No Country for Old Men... Javier Bardem in his finest role and Sicario... Brolin, Emily Blunt and Benicio Del Toro.

2023-08-01 19:26:14 +0000 UTCI am glad you had a good time in Canada with your family Cassie. As far as what id like to see, more comedies would be nice. I know you are self conscious about them but it's so much fun laughing along with you. Also I would recommend diehard 4 I know a lot of people don't like it but I think you would. It is a summer movie and it is a bit different from the original 3 but its still fun. its and older John Mcclain.

Presumed Innocent (1990) Shattered (1991) Deceived (1991) Mortal Thoughts (1991) A Kiss Before Dying (1991) Consenting Adults (1992) Unlawful Entry (1992) Guilty As Sin (1993) Malice (1993)

2023-08-01 18:56:43 +0000 UTCCassie, just take a break and have some rest, no need to make up for anything the next week. I think the first half of the year turned out a bit too action oriented so for the second half I would appreciate if other genres would have given some more chance. Some ideas: - European movie poll, we haven't had one since Amélie - Sports movie poll, but not football/baseball/box - Thriller movie poll - Historical movie poll - Fantasy movie poll - Biography movie poll - British comedies poll - Maybe bringing back the Oscar's Past Poll, but quarterly instead of monthly

2023-08-01 18:55:23 +0000 UTCIt's always more fun with Carly, so more Carly 😊 As far as idea's for polls. I really like the idea of a "Bottom Tier Poll". The 51-100 voting poll was a perfect example. So like the movie with the least votes from each future poll are put into a poll of there own. That way the ones that don't get chosen often have another chance. 😁

2023-08-01 18:39:20 +0000 UTCI really don't think you should have to push yourself in the future to try to "make anything" up for us. I think you should live your best life and create more quality reactions and enjoy yourself and your family first. Can't rush perfection. 2nd half of the year? Planet of the Apes (starting with 1968, then whatever you want) Star Trek movies, starting with the ones from 1979 on (not the recent ones first) More Cary Grant More Hitchcock (will never get enough of those two!) More courtroom movies More comedies (Eddie Murphy, Austin Powers) Austin Powers, speaking of More thrillers How about some musicals (of course I am thinking some classics like South Pacific, My Fair Lady, even OG Mary Poppins which you haven't seen yet, then go old old school with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers)

King Kong, Godzilla, Todzilla, Donkey Kong, all of them. 😉 I think a big discussion about which films to watch, polls, chat, versions, directors, etc would be fun for all! 😊 Maybe Patreon picks the films on the poll, and YouTube votes for which to watch? Or vice-versa. Either way, a few giant monsters would be fun to watch.
