The building blown up at the beginning of the movie was the 1950s era City Hall in Orlando, FL. The night of the implosion was like a circus with spectators and news media off camera a couple of blocks away. The new City Hall was visible through the smoke after the old building fell. Coca-Cola had paid for the rights to hang a neon sign on the new City Hall and it was visible briefly after the building fell. The Coke sign was removed after filming. Amazingly, only a few windows were broken on the new City Hall even though it was only about 25 feet from the imploded building!

The bad rep comes because they gradually became more focused on humor and romance etc. The 4th movie very different movie than the 1st. Many fans of the first (2) movies didn't like that evolution.

Once again, this was a great reaction Cassie, you're the best! Looking forward to you reacting to the 4th and final one! Not much for me to say than what I already said in the comments of the full length reaction lol! However, earlier today when I tuned in, like I mentioned about Mel Gibson IRL is a 3 Stooges fan and it's funny how in pretty much all the Lethal Weapon movies he does a few references to the 3 Stooges, so he basically has his character be a fan as well lol! Like I also said, besides Gibson, many Hollywood A list actors look up to the Stooges as comedic mentors, actors like Woody Harrelson, Bridgette Fonda (It Could Happen To You), etc. Are all Stooges fans! So yes, you should react to them whenever you wish of course, many YT channels do a lot of first time watching/reacting to the Stooges, and if you and Carly ever got my email I sent you a while back, you will get a taste of their comedy and my voting poll idea for watching them lol😁 One other thing I forgot to mention, I sent you a message a few days ago about a special big project I'm working on for you and Carly, on your own time, give a little look/see lol! Surprised you didn't catch it when they were talking scars that the gunshots wounds to Rigg's back, which pierced this lung, and the knife wound, were from the ending of Lethal Weapon 2.

I actually like 4 even more than 3. Not sure where the bad rep comes from. Give it a go and don’t pay attention to the naysayers. And now that you’re fully invested in the Lethal Weapon series, you should go back and revisit the bank robbery scene from Maverick… you’re going to be delighted by the Easter egg you didn’t get a year and a half ago.

Anyone who says anything bad about Lethal Weapon 4 is a heartless sonofabitch. You can’t rank them because they’re all one great thing. Every one is better than the one that came before it BECAUSE of the one that came before it. The joy is the ride - the loving family that these characters become.

When I first saw this entry in the Lethal Weapon series, I didn’t really care for it. Over the years, though, it’s grown in my estimation quite a bit. I still prefer the first two, but this is definitely a fun, fun movie. And the chemistry between Mel Gibson, Danny Glover and Joe Pesci is absolutely fantastic. So much so that its hard to believe they’re not besties in real life, out there solving crimes at great expense to the taxpayers. 😂

The reason Lethal 2 feels like a summer blockbuster is because it was... Came out July 7, 1989. Lethal 3 was a bit sooner, May 15, 93. Lethal 4 is another big summer July release, so better get a move on...
