Comments

When is No Time To Die reaction coming out??

Ryan Zman

If you prefer it over Sam Smith's Writing's on the Wall, that's fine but I have to say I didn't think much of that Radiohead song. Just my opinion.

JONATHAN REDFERN WILLIAMS

Lea Seydoux in that dress, though. I mean... come on!

Bill W

Here's an interesting breakdown of why the Spectre song works, and how James Bond themes/scores in general all have a pattern. https://youtu.be/tiesXqT1P3g

Jesus F Christ

They're not even comfortable saying "Oh my God" lol I'm going to go on a limb and say they haven't seen South Park

Jyn Jilly

Have Cassie and Carly ever seen South Park? Surely They've heard the Oscar nominated song "Blame Canada" by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. But have They ever seen the song performed by Robin Williams, on Hollywood's Biggest Stage, at the Oscars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXeWT8CQ6uc :-)(-;

Larry Darrell

Hey guys, went to go see Mission Impossible, and it was so awesome. Not Top Gun: Maverick level awesome; but almost. It was such a great movie for the big screen. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

Uncle Phoenix

I agree 100%

TigerDelta

In the fight scene between Daniel Craig and Dave Baustita, they were both injured. Daniel said he accidentally punched Dave in the nose and broke it and literally ran away. I don't remember what Daniel's injury was, but I remember being the train fight.

I’m old. We didn’t get a microwave until the mid 80s, when I was in my teens. Until then, microwaves were like VCRs: something only “rich people” owned.

Just Plain Bob

Popping off: Given how easy it is to make your own popcorn in a microwave, then unless you're terminally lazy, what's the point of buying non-premium "instant" popcorn?

Happy Hanukkah

Let's not be so quick to rule it out, Martin. Surely we could negotiate something, for the right price.

Happy Hanukkah

Think "Police Academy" not "Tombstone". 😎💛

james flack

Celeste, my apologies. 🙏💛

james flack

Last time I'll post about it, I promise: Check out this alternate opening credits montage with the rejected Radiohead song "Spectre". It's miles better than the chosen Sam Smith song, "The Writing's on the Wall". Not only is the Radiohead song better than Smith's, I'd put it in the top 10 of all Bond themes. https://youtu.be/o4mIWoLg69Y What does everyone else think?

Jesus F Christ

I never once ate Jiffy Pop that wasn’t burnt.

Just Plain Bob

Jiffy pop has to be the worst tasting popcorn, tastes like the aluminum foil it pops in..

Celeste McAllister

@James Flack,is that the opposite of 'Huckleberry' ?

Celeste McAllister

@James Flack,I am a Army brat no stranger to firearms and laying down the sarcasm..I was serious about Dirty Harry.⭐⭐⭐

Celeste McAllister

Cassie reads them,That's why I comment @Just Plain Bob.

Celeste McAllister

So would i,I've been told about a sadistic orthodontist,If it's Dustin Hoffman I'd rather watch Little Big Man,bring on Rain Man...

Celeste McAllister

She’d really hate Marathon Man …

Just Plain Bob

This country has way too many "Tackleberrys". Explanation enough? 🙄 P.S. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, thank you!

james flack

>"Re Tyne Daly: She was my favorite of Harry’s partners; she did a superb job." I agree, she was really great, and that is probably why Cagney and Lacey became a hit TV show. The impressive part of the movie THE ENFORCER is how she won over, EARNED, Dirty Harry's respect. It was a great character arc.

Richard Bourne

Re Tyne Daly: She was my favorite of Harry’s partners; she did a superb job.

Just Plain Bob

james flack .. "isn't it ironic how some fanatical gun owners don't recognize sarcasm" what? Please explain

Richard Bourne

>Tremors and its rec-room scene I LOVED THAT SO MUCH, and for so many reasons. I am kind of a gun nerd, used to be a competitive shooter, so that was a great movie scene to me.

Richard Bourne

>Skinny Pop popcorn is hot garbage. YES! I AGREE.

Richard Bourne

>The Wildey Magnum. Don't buy ice cream without it. :-) LOL, yes that is right and very funny.

Richard Bourne

My dearest Celeste, isn't it ironic how some fanatical gun owners don't recognize sarcasm, even when it smacks 'em right in the kisser? Just sayin'...🤔

james flack

Well, we did get a reaction to Tremors and its rec-room scene. (I still crack up at Cassie's reaction to Carly's instructing the mother-humper.)

Happy Hanukkah

I sure think it was. Tyne Daly was GREAT! She played off Clint Eastwood in that long ago era very well. Remember the scene where Dirty Harry asked in her interview if anyone actually knew what law was being broken.... she nailed it, to the SHOCK of Dirty Harry, and then their relationship started after that.

Richard Bourne

The Wildey Magnum. Don't buy ice cream without it. :-)

Happy Hanukkah

Re The Enforcer: Great flick.

Just Plain Bob

One of the interesting things of this channel is seeing how women react to movies vs. guys. A date is different, and you are on your best behavior. Viewing movies with guy friends, we talk a lot less, but we always point out things that are wrong, impossible, stupid, etc. We rip on everything wrong with a movie we can ... that has been my experience watching movies with guy friends, not in a cinema of course.

Richard Bourne

LOL, Just Plain Bob, I don't know how much Cassie listens to me, but I throw out my advice for what it is in honesty.

Richard Bourne

I think the Dirty Harry movie Cassie and Carly would most enjoy is THE ENFORCER (1976). Remember, that movie launched Tyne Daly who then went on to star in the female cop serious Cagney and Lacey (1981-1988).

Richard Bourne

@Celeste McAllister From your lips to Cassie’s ear …

Just Plain Bob

PPS: Cassie is right, Carly is wrong. Skinny Pop popcorn is hot garbage.

Just Plain Bob

I love, and have two Smith and Wesson model 29s in .44 Mag, but they are no .475 Wilbey Mangums. I thought about one, but I couldn't afford it. I see in used condition it is now worth over three grand. In new condition, over five grand.

Richard Bourne

PS to my previous post: Fingers crossed that Cassie someday watches the superlative Layer Cake, the movie that earned Daniel Craig the role of Bond, James Bond. Despite my criticisms of most of the Daniel Craig/James Bond movies (except Casino Royale, which may be my favorite Bond movie ever), I thought Craig made an excellent Bond (second only to Sean Connery). I just wish the writing/story had been as good as his portrayal.

Just Plain Bob

He is Canadian and Kaley Couco's dad...

Celeste McAllister

Ok,Let's get 'Dirty Harry' on a law and order poll..

Celeste McAllister

Daddy hurt my feelings! It’s all your fault!! I’m gonna get even by spending decades to create a global criminal network and hurt or kill thousands of innocent people, all in a Byzantine effort to hurt you for being daddy’s favorite!!! Excruciatingly stupid.

Just Plain Bob

It must really be bugging you if you mention it not once but twice lol. I didn't like the "brother" thing at first either, still not a fan, but it only plays a minor role in the movie, don't see why it should get your knickers in a twist. Blofeld has been causing terror and toying with Bond for years before M directed Bond in spectres direction. It's partly retconning, partly picking up loose threads they didn't finish earlier (which might have been on purpose). CR and QoS both had intentional loose threads (mr white and his unkown organization). Besides that, the movie plays with the idea that Blofeld and Bond are different sides of the same coin, the silly idea of them being "brothers" adds to that, just like the shot at the end where they face eachother with the bulletproof glass between them: Blofelds reflection covers Bonds, pretty cool shot. If you ask me there are plenty of other things to focus on, especially since this is Craigs only movie with: a proper henchman for example. Or a secret spectre meeting which we haven't had since the 60's. Before NTD Craig also didnt have a supervillain, a secret lair, a proper car chase with gadgets or an old fashioned train-fight. Of all the Craigs, this one follows the old format the most to the letter.

davidov

One more thing, Hinx had a AF2011 Dueller Prismatic double-barreled pistol which is just stupid. I realize they are trying to make it look cool, but .45 ACP side by side doesn't stand up to a more serious caliber like .44 Mag, .45 Win Mag, .454, and so on. IMHO, the ultimate handgun used in a movie was used by Charles Bronson in Death Wish 3, the Wildey Hunter .475 Wildey Magnum. This was a rifle caliber in a massive handgun built to fire it. One might be able to shoot down a helicopter with that.

Richard Bourne

I really feel for MC Hammer. I followed his story, and how he blew through 30 million with a giant payroll where he was helping friends and put way way too much into his masion. He was sooooooooooo talented, it was painful to watch what happened to him, seriously.

Richard Bourne

JV762 ... Right On !!!! Better than I could have said it !!!!

Richard Bourne

Nothing but a joke on my part: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otCpCn0l4Wo

Happy Hanukkah

So there you have it. Everything retconned to be part of one large, ridiculously complex scheme to get even because daddy loved the other kid more than fake Blofeld. It’s the kind of absurd plot you’d expect from an Austin Powers movie; a third tier Austin Powers movie; one made by third graders in their backyard. Excruciatingly stupid.

Just Plain Bob

Yes, a pretty bad exaggeration of firearm capability even by hollywood standards. That looked like a 200 yard shot, at best. On a target moving probably 50 mph from a moving boat! Just hitting it at all would have been a miracle, considering at that range, the .380 probably had a 20 ft drop from point of aim. However, even with a hit the tiny bullet would be moving so slowly it would have felt like a paintball. Oh, then there is the rotor wash from the helicopter...oh never mind! LOL

JC762

? What? M and C are completely opposite, that's the point. I want M in charge, not C. F - C !!!

Richard Bourne

William Shatner has been doing some good work for the History Channel.

Richard Bourne

[Meme:] Why not both? Hammer Time!

Happy Hanukkah

I think the ultimate portrayal of the SPECTRE organization was in THUNDERBALL, SC's biggest Bond movie, even bigger than Goldfinger. Austin Powers was largely making fun of that since it was so iconic.

Richard Bourne

0:00-0:03 [Producer Guy voice:] Hey! That's the name of the channel! I am baffled as to how you neglected to mention the Greatest Canadian of all: Dr! William! Shatner!

Happy Hanukkah

The movie starts with an impossible helicopter scene (which has been done in other movies like BLUE THUNDER and THE A TEAM) and ends with an impossible helicopter shoot down with a mere .380 ACP caliber short barrel pistol which has far less punch than a 9mm. This Blofeld being part of James' early life is new and very far fetched, too much of a reach IMHO. I do love to hate the new character C. The World needs Ms, not Cs.

Richard Bourne

I love how Carly covered her pretty face when James got drilled😲😨made me cringe like dentist chair vibes..
