VOTE NOW!!! #51-100 Poll

Okay here is the official poll! We randomly drew these picks from #51-100 on the requests app. You can watch the draw here. Vote away!!

Comments

Didn't even see this poll until it ended

D. T. Nelson

True, it's not like Equalizer won by a huge margin. But it still won, and the best film (imo) didn't, so - Typical.

Richard Maurer

I've never seen a poll this close across the board.

Bill W

Been waiting to see Equalizer on one of these polls. Looking forward to that one!

John Casamassa

The silent majority 😏😏

Björn Karlsson

There's only 22 other reactions I could find with a quick search... (edit- 25) Maybe next time.

Mike Lemon

Typical

Richard Maurer

Rounders and Gone in 60 seconds in the same poll, um?

Michael J

How dare you!?! 300 is evergreen, almost LotR level evergreen.

Richard Maurer

@ Russell - a big part of the problem is there just too many reaction channels. And so many of them are bad at it. Sorry to say this but a lot of people just aren't as interesting as they think they are. If you can't get more than 10-20k views doing Lord of the Rings or the MCU it's probably time to hang it up.

Richard Maurer

"...the last American hero, the electric centaur, the demi-god, the super driver of the golden west! ...our soul hero, in his soul mobile, yeah baby!"

Larry Darrell

Those are some very Interesting Variables Variable.

Larry Darrell

😆😆😆

Sam R.

I hope you end up watching the top 3, because it was would be travesty if you didn’t.

Biggman83

It's not a tumah! It's not a tumah.

Paul Deaconu

🤣🤣 wow pretty random quote. Had to think about it.

Sam R.

I saw Jeff mentioned it, but “The Hurricane” is a critically underrated performance. I’m convinced he got his Oscar for Training Day because they knew they messed up by not giving it to him the previous year. There aren’t many actors better🤷‍♂️

Cole Jennett

Are these all your lunches? You mean you eat other people's lunches? Stop it!!

William Bryan

Certainly everyone is entitled to their own opinion but Denzel is great. There's not a movie of his that I haven't enjoyed. Have you guys seen Flight? There's your diversity. My personal favorite of his is Man on Fire but Remember the Titans, Training Day, The Book of Eli and John Q are fantastic. Plus the fact that Denzel and I have the same birthday as nothing to do with my bias. 😁

Robin Craft

@Variable- Interesting take, I wonder how the vote would tun out with the alternative vote (ranked choice, instant runoff) as the voting system. Alternative Vote Explained- CGP Grey- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Y3jE3B8HsE

Mike Lemon

actually I like kindergarten cop more than twins

Sam R.

Glory and Man on Fire were great

Sam R.

for me it's the pure astrology method of connecting disparate "signs" together. Dan Brown and a corkboard of a web of strings come to mind

Wu Sha Ling

She and Carly have seen the Tom Hardy Mad Max, so I'd love them both to see the original - it's an iconic Australian movie.

Sarah Frost

Man on Fire

John P Tucker

@ Patrick - Right? Why would someone refuse to watch Glory?

Richard Maurer

This will be interesting, who’s on your’s Mt Rushmore. Mine is Eastwood, McQueen, Denzel, Cruise. Why? I tend to have a cool factor involved, then each of them have at least 3 films that are on my favorites list. Cruise always has a debatable? It is not a stone Mt. Rushmore

Jeff Mansell

As i am writing this, of the 1,391 votes, like 320 of them are for The Equalizer and the other 1,071 are for "not The Equalizer". It's a bummer.

Variable38

REMEMBER THE TITANS, INSIDE MAN and BONE COLLECTOR are some of his blandest, forgettable movies honestly. Why would anyone refuse to watch GLORY?

Patrick Flanagan

I do love Morgan Freeman and and SLJ. In Django SLJ was top of his game. I do realize that actors who are in a ton of movies do tend to ultimately play themselves. Freeman is no exception, Clooney, Cruise also end up playing themselves. So many films leads to that, however when they stand out it’s exceptional. After all that’s what the producers and directors want. Best of all we all have our favorites. None of us are wrong, hence personal opinion…

Jeff Mansell

yep, i rarely watch the winner of these polls.

zynjams

glory is fantastic

zynjams

It’s been awhile since seeing some of those but I really don’t think of Denzel as “diverse.” I feel like he’s great at playing Denzel.

RabidMango

It's like 3 non-english movies from Europe on top 500-ish on Planners app. Show me love, Let the right one in and Das boot. 9 non-english from Europe on topp 1000. 4 swedish, 4 german and one Italian.🙂

Björn Karlsson

.....and Lukas Moodysson😍🥰, Tomas Alfredsson, Kjell Sundvall etc...

Björn Karlsson

These polls are always a disappointment.

Godzilla Jones

I refuse to watch that movie

William Bryan

Add Glory to that list.

Metallic Podcast

Exactly. Haven’t seen ANY reactors watch Fabelmans. Or some of the recent films like Close and Quiet Girl too. The Last Duel. The Father. Worst person in the world. Past lives. Coda. Blackberry and Air. I’d add Kelly Reichardt , Billy Wilder and Kore-Eda to the list. Agree on Iñarritu..

AC5555

I did watch Training Day. It was ok I guess. I just dunno what all the fuss is about with him. Lots of other actors who are phenomenal. Morgan Freeman and Samuel L Jackson are in my top ten a all time.

William Bryan

Agree. So many good directors to pick from. Coen bothers, Scott brothers, Nolan brothers, Kubrik, Coppola father-daughter, Waititi, Lumet, Kurosawa, Bong JongHo, Innaritu, Villeneuve

Russell Teo

No judgment. I have to ask, have you watched The Hurricane, Malcom X, Training Day, American Gangster, The Great Debaters? Is his words “Come on man”. For me DZW is for sure on the Actors Mt Rushmore. His work is more diverse than any other “A” list actor. I forgot Devil in the Blue Dress, ya see, now I’m all worked up.

Jeff Mansell

Equalizer is pure Hollywood copycat crap. Nothing original about the script

Russell Teo

I thought Flight was really good.

Cody Nelson

Agree. One of the top5 most overrated actor. I can’t even remember when he was really good

Russell Teo

What is people's obsession with Denzel Washington? Other than Remember the Titans, Inside Man, and The Bone Collector most of his movies are meh

William Bryan

I can only hope.

Bill Maurer

I've only seen one of these movies. 👍

Philip Alan

Napoleonic era setting looks good, especially casting Joaquin. But the trailer was horrendous. the music and editing did the movie no favors.

Wu Sha Ling

Hopefully 'Napoleon' will be as good and historically accurate and authentic as it looks, production values look off the scale,18th,19th century European/North American history i find intriguing. 👍👍

Celeste McAllister

I'm hoping for Running Man or Commando!

Todzilla

I loved Vanishing Point from the moment I first saw it. More than most other films in the genre, it really captured the zeitgeist of the era.

Just Plain Bob

'Kindergarten Cop' has been brought up in the live chats, maybe Conan the Librarian..Barbarian..should be the next Arnie, keeps the OG sausage party happy..

Celeste McAllister

To be blunt, most people don't like having their religious beliefs mocked.

Celeste McAllister

Has anyone seen the trailer for Napolean? That movie will be amazing

Tim Mclouth

Now that 'Jeremiah Johnson' is being viewed by Cassie,'The Searchers' is next..John Wayne's best! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Celeste McAllister

It’s more about the channel survival. How many reaction channel has gone the way of dropping viewership from hundreds of thousands, to just thousands?

Russell Teo

Maybe next time let's do a 101-150 poll,I like the way 51-100 ruffled some feathers! ✌

Celeste McAllister

Baby Mel Gibson in 'The Bounty' 1985,questions are welcome..

Celeste McAllister

'American Graffiti' 1973 sparked a nostalgia craze and car culture..

Celeste McAllister

Watched Vanishing point not long ago,the '69 426 Hemi Challenger was bad- A..

Celeste McAllister

I'm so glad I helped with suggesting and pushing this poll,it's been fun reading these comments 🔥😂

Celeste McAllister

Did you feel that way with 'The 5th Element' 'Robocop' & '300' ?..They got old two years ago..

Celeste McAllister

Didn’t think I was whining tbh 😂, just my opinion that I didn’t think the film was that popular that it would be winning over some of the others. She’s just watched loads of James Bond films that I have no interest in but I’ve not moan about it because I fully understand Not everything she watches is something I’m going to like.

Dean Holt

This poll has stirred up a hornets nest!! Gotta love it! 😂

Celeste McAllister

'Let's glorify black market auto-theft & chop shops in one minute'...

Celeste McAllister

Hardly can believe you guy's,you get what you want then you whine about it..

Celeste McAllister

@ Mike - Your #3 is a matter of opinion (yours and other patrons), You think Saw and Candyman are her limits, I disagree. For instance she watched A Nightmare on Elm Street last year, and many "it's too much for her!" comments were posted - and of course it wasn't. If it were left up to the majority of people who think they know what's too much for her she'd never see anything worse than Monster Squad. There needs to be more balance between the people who want to shelter her and the people who want push the envelope. As a horror fan there are many horror films I wouldn't recommend for Cassie, at least not at this point. But there are basically four weeks a year that Cassie watches horror - compare that to action and war movies. So yes, I object to horror comedies like Arsenic and Old Lace, and what amount to children's movies like Hocus Pocus, and mainstream thrillers like Silence of the Lambs, and action films like The Mummy. To horror fans who want to watch real horror films around Halloween these are all just wastes of precious space. Also I would point out that nobody's forcing Cassie to watch horror at all. It's her channel and she could (and should) say no horror period if it were really as traumatic for her as many people here seem to think.

Richard Maurer

She will very likely Watch Mad Max (1979) first anyways, when she finds out The Road Warrior is a sequel. I think She already knows it is.

Larry Darrell

While I'd prefer Cassie watched Mad Max first, I'd rather she watch Road Warrior now than take the chance of it never winning a poll. That's if we can get it past the lesser movies that are currently leading this poll.

Richard Maurer

No you don't. Most of America didn't even know Mad Max was a thing when Road Warrior came out.

Mike Lemon

You need to see Mad Max before Road Warrior. Otherwise I’d vote for that.

Mr Trick

A couple of other reactors that do horror content I recommend are Alanda Parker and She's Scared. The common thread between Kat and these ladies other than watching horror is that they are incredibly funny and a delight to watch.

Robin Craft

The only ones I’ve heard of out of those is Mary Cherry and TBR. The ones I tend to watch are You me at the movies, Just SUMM Reactions, Holden Hardman and Rob squad movies.

Dean Holt

I liked it as well but I wish they would have stayed closer to the book.

James Young

As good as the DaVinci Code is, the book is sooooo much better. If you like reading books, check it out before watching the movie.

James Young

Hehehe Dead snow. A hilarious norwegian splatter. Well that would be to much for her 🤣🤣

Björn Karlsson

@Richard- And 3) People who pay attention to what she absolutely hates. For example she is OK with a very little bit of gore/violence so something like Saw or Candyman she would be fine with, but something heavier she likely wouldn't be (yet).

Mike Lemon

Yeah.. Cassie must see this movie (LTROI). If not, it's almost a service error. 🤣

Björn Karlsson

Asia and BJ, Cinibinge, Dasha, Octokrool, The Homies, Nikki and Steven, Reel Rejects, and a bunch of "second tier" channels. Everything else has 0-3 reactions, with only Mary Cherry being the "big name" to watch any of them, except Twins- Octo and TBR watched that.

Mike Lemon

SPOILER ALERT!

Tal Moore

(-; Now that’s the Kinky Stuff. ;-)

Larry Darrell

Tbh I do follow a few reactors and I’ve never seen anyone do it, so yes from my point of view it’s a surprise.

Dean Holt

My movie pick never even made it to a poll but perhaps that is for the best.

Mario

Most reaction channels share the same audience, so it makes sense that the same movies keep getting suggested / viewed frequently.

Mario

@ Manuel - I argued against The Mummy vehemently when it came up for exactly the reasons you mentioned. While I do think this channel and other reaction channels where the reactor has a problem with horror have the tendency to softball it where horror films are concerned, there is a bigger problem(s). That problem is the patrons themselves, and on this channel in particular that problem is twofold, with some crossover. 1) are the patrons who don't like horror and push for horror comedies, thrillers, and children's films (as well as action films) and 2) are the patrons who like to "white knight" i.e. protect Cassie from any violence or anything really that will challenge Cassie. Both these groups basically try, and often do, ruin it for horror fans, which I'm sure makes them happy, even if they wouldn't admit it. I would like to recommend a channel called KatWatchesHorrorMovies - a reactor who while she is very frightened of horror films still bravely watches nothing but horror on her channel.

Richard Maurer

Planner's app is all Patron requests. You can go on there to see how many people have requested the movies currently listed in place 51-100, which is what Cassie did the random draw from to make this poll. If more Patrons connect to the site and spend 30 mins requesting their favourite movies, the Top 100 will definitely shift around a bit. At the same time, lots of people probably won't use it and we can't force them to either. Gotta give huge credit for Cassie for constantly being creative with how movies are picked for the channel. Mom and Dad polls, Ben poll, Planner's app polls, poll themes, themes she's picked herself (war/military movies), her Popcorn Pick of the Month, and on and on. As for The Mummy, that was a choice that her and Carly made quite a while ago now and they're sticking with it. Unfortunately Cassie cannot please the wishes of thousands of patrons and hundreds of thousands of people over on YouTube. These polls here on Patreon are our way of participating and having a say, and most of the people that vote don't leave comments. 🤷‍♂️ Just gotta roll with it!

kaiielle

It shouldn't be a surprise at all. Every other big "reactor" watched it a few months ago, so of course it has to win. There can never be variety.

Mike Lemon

CODA on AppleTV :)

Randolph Tirazona

I enjoyed it, but I'm concerned it might be too unpleasant, depressing and esoteric for Cassie to appreciate it. Then again, there's a good chance I'd vote for it if it were in this poll. :-)

Happy Hanukkah

Spoilers? Yep

Larry Darrell

Good luck with that.

Richard Maurer

I don't hate Equalizer (although some here do), but I don't think it's close to being as good as Road Warrior, and I think Equalizer has been overdone on reaction channels to the point that it needs a rest.

Richard Maurer

I hope so brother I mean it feels like she's going with safe movies like she done a research on the movies and she's only doing ones that she feels safe with

Manuel Villacana

Maybe we'll get lucky and LtROI will win a Halloween poll, although we would need peoples taste in horror films to improve here.

Richard Maurer

I just couldn't buy the premise. The Catholic Church is in a conspiracy to keep secret that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalen and their son was the first king of France? There's a difference between an entertaining fiction and a laughably ludicrous one.

Tal Moore

I am also guilty of liking this history p**n.

ArsTropica

Yes, Name of the Rose would be a very interesting reaction. I don't think there's anything graphic in that movie, although it's been many years since I've seen it.

Al Swearengen

At some point she'll have watched every action movie ever made. Then we can get back to some diversity.

Carol_White

Understanding that it's purely fiction, what was so ridiculous about it?

Al Swearengen

The way Foucault's Pendulum was first described to me, I expected something like (the subsequent) Da Vinci Code. I was understandably somewhat discombobulated :-) . Knowing better, I then went on to read most of Umberto Eco's fiction. The Da Vinci Code is ... good for what it is. I'm not sure whether to recommend The Name of the Rose (1986) for Cassie.

Happy Hanukkah

I watched it and it had no such effect on me; and I'll bet it won't influence Cassie either. (I won't bet that this comment can get away without a smiley.)

Happy Hanukkah

Yeah I like Tom Hanks in The Da Vinci Code a very under appreciated film

S Elphick

Chose the Road Warrior, but I suggest watching the first Mad Max (1979) first (TRW being the sequel). It’s a 70s revenge thriller with a post-apocalyptic setting.

Lance Li

This is a really good list. But Tom Hanks in the De Vinci Code is a favorite of mine.

Donald Holloway

I don't know I don't want to be rude but at the same time I don't want to be the type that wouldn't say anything when something is bothering me,, but it almost feels like every week is the same movies just different titles and it doesn't seem like she's branching away like she used to when she first started this show with the Shawshank ,, I mean why are we going to watch the mummy for Halloween? I mean it's not even a horror movie it's a action adventure movie why did we have to wait 11 months just to see that? It's the second most requested movie because it's a non horror movie and it's not fair for us horror fans who have to wait 11 months just for Cassie to watch horror movies which we only get a handful of picks

Manuel Villacana

Bribery it is.

rakesh

I'm an atheist Jew and I thought the movie was ridiculous.

Tal Moore

This would mean the second pick is virtually guaranteed to do poorly, which does nothing to help Cassie's channel. There's a reason these films come in last in polls, and this is coming from someone who's had a number of favorites come in last. Once in while it might be a fun thing but asking Cassie to do this consistently is unrealistic.

Richard Maurer

Cassie, I must protest! Every time there's a poll my favorite selected one gets picked last. This is extremely triggering and gives me flashbacks and PTSD from remembering getting picked last in any school sports activity! I suggest we employ a modern "everyone who participates is winner!" strategy but tweak it to the winner and not the second favorite but the overall loser. This way poll selectors can't game the system forcing you to pick two winners. I humbly petition you to think of us pollsters that never get picked and wish to bask in the glory of winning. Oh to have a favorite movie picked.. im sure it would feel like a Rocky montage. Alas, until you grace us with a pick we'll never know that feel. Honestly if this doesn't work, my next attempt will be straight up bribery.

rakesh

we must splash the pot to get attention.

rakesh

Trying to dare her into watching it lol, it's in last place and I think it's a cool movie either way.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

I read Foucault's Pendulum in my 20's and hated it. Gave it another try a few years ago, and realized it's absolutely brilliant. The Da Vinci Code is like the young adult version, but definitely enjoyable.

Al Swearengen

Lol, sounds like a personal problem there. Besides, poker isn't gambling. Just ask Mike McD.

Al Swearengen

In the Reaction game of life, blockbusters are the rake. They're the f#@$ing rake.

Al Swearengen

The Da Vinci Code is only a waste of time to Christian zealots.

Al Swearengen

Little surprised The Equaliser is winning as I thought it was an ok film but nothing special I’m really surprised that there was a sequel and there’s even a 3rd one coming out. The top 3 out of them in my opinion are Twins, Gone in 60 Seconds and maybe Rounders.

Dean Holt

He moved to soon 😂😂

Dean Holt

Yeah... I will promote these movies on Pib this summer and fall. After that it will be other channels.

Björn Karlsson

Agree. I don’t get the hate for it in this thread. Just because it’s a simple intense action movie? Come on, it’s well shot, and well acted, and I think Cassie would enjoy the hell out of it. Im good with any movie on the list though.

Bryan Erickson

as "Rounders" fans we shall remain in the dark musty underworld of this chat, sticking to the shadows as we grind our way into existence.....

Kevin Kuma

I thought it had to be one of those two. To be totally honest though, LtROI has a much better chance of being seen on this channel, and its chances aren't that great. Reality sucks, but there it is.

Richard Maurer

Road Warrior is better "car porn" than either version of Gi60S.

Richard Maurer

Rounders is great, but Twins would be the funniest movie to do.

Adam Doyle

Well I think she will get little bit scared of LTROI, but she will have no problems with it. I´m talking (as always) about Show me love/Fukcing Åmål. The most accurate teenage movie that has ever been made imo. When things gets reeeally complicated and you are 14-17 years old and are in love.

Björn Karlsson

One of main reasons I don't enjoy Thunderdome as much is that it's a big budget film. Big budgets mean big studio involvement, which means a less risk-taking "safer" film. Give me the independents any day.

Richard Maurer

Road Warrior. Gi60S is another ok cheesy Nick Cage action movie, but not as entertaining as Con Air. And Equalizer has been done to death - I'm sure Cassie will get to it eventually, hopefully after it's had time to "refresh".

Richard Maurer

Out of these 6, Cassie would definitely like Twins and Rounders the most. But Road Warrior and The Equalizer are must sees at some point. The Da Vinci Code is ridiculous and a waste of time.

Tal Moore

Respectfully, I disagree. And I don't think she would enjoy the first film as much as the last. Thunderdome had the big budget treatment, a few call-backs, and Tina Fing Turner. Of course, we die hard fans will always appreciate Max's origin story.

Javier Hernandez

It's not absolutely necessary, but it certainly helps. And I think the OG Mad Max is a lot better than it's given credit for.

Richard Maurer

She liked 300, she'll probably like Road Warrior as well.

Richard Maurer

No skipping Mad Max. If she skips anything it should be Thunderdome.

Richard Maurer

And Gone in 6e+10 Nanoseconds would have been really confusing.

Richard Maurer

@Larry: Well, okay. I still don't think it's absolutely necessary, but whatever. As I said, I'm not opposed to it either and It's not a hill I'm willing to die on.

Stick Figure Studios

It takes a interesting subject and makes you not care about it.

Richard Maurer

Let the Right One In?

Richard Maurer

And Mad Max, you need to see Mad Max before Thunderdome. MMBT is my least favorite in the series.

Richard Maurer

If she REALLY wants to do that (get out of her comfort zone) and wants to see something without being scared, upset etc. Well then I know what will do the trick 🙂🙃

Björn Karlsson

"I did nothing. The pavement was his enemy." 😁

Zane From Canada

I went for Gone in 60secs, might as well continue the Nic Cage marathon and it’s a great fun action movie. Never seen the Equalizer, something always stops me from watching it.

Biggman83

Only ever seen one of these movies so I voted for what I’ve seen lol doesn’t seem like the greatest list here imo. Better luck with the pulls next time. Maybe I’ll actually know some of those movies.

brooke atkins

@cole jennett Sure enjoy what bits you like. But the locations, history or culture does not make his plots or writing any better. I love Florence, it is my favorite city by far. Inferno was set in Florence and added nothing for me. The plot was not improved by it.

Wu Sha Ling

She mentioned in April (three months ago) that we will have a foreign movie poll. She havent done any non-english movies from Europe since January.... last year. It´s time for that now..

Björn Karlsson

I loved it. The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons were amazing to read, especially the illustrated versions. The movies were edited down so much to fit a movie length that they lost their magic, imo. The settings are incredible, and it made me want to travel even more. Paris and Rome are magical to me, partially because of those books. I mean, I know they are Paris and Rome already, lol, but it added to the experience for sure.

Cole Jennett

Mad Max (1979) gives backstory to the Mad Max character and gives more detail on why the World is the way it is, in The Road Warrior. The events of the first are summed up in the first couple minutes of The Road Warrior, via Montage. This was added because Mad Max (1979) did not get a wide release, and a lot of the new audience Needed this backstory. There is some Deep Stuff that happens in the First, which is better to have seen in Detail, rather than a montage and voiceover. I believe George Miller always intended for people to have seen Mad Max (1979) First.

Larry Darrell

Take what I say with a grain of salt but there’s nothing REALLY standout in this list. ☹️ Just my opinion but I haven’t seen her watching anything really memorable lately. I’d love to see her get back to classic Hollywood and Alfred Hitchcock again. Or foreign films, Oscar winners and nominees. Maybe watch a director’s work consistently. So many films

AC5555

what the hell..........I rarely post but come on people, the equalizer is a low rent paint by numbers boring weak ass movie..........worst movie on the list by a mile, so, of course, it will win.........

christopher b swanson

Gotta go with the Road Warrior on this one. Some good ones on the list for sure. I'd swap allegiances only if it meant Twins got the win.

Wallace Marbach

Equalizer is such an ordinary run of the mill film. Denzel is fine but it's just a blah movie.

nick bell

I really liked Equalizer and it will probably win, but I went with Rounders.

David Thibodeau

Had to vote for Rounders, if only to see Cassie react to John Malkovich’s accent :)

Patrick Egan

Are the top two being watched or just the winner?

Joel

Don't watch Rounders. It's a great movie, but it'll make you want to gamble.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

"Car porn" is a wonderfull description of such movies 😅😅

Björn Karlsson

I love Denzel and enjoyed The Equalizer, but let's be serious - it is not a great movie. Incredibly predictable. It currently has the lead, and I do think Cassie would enjoy it, but it is (along with Da Vinci Code) the weakest film on the list. Twins is the one the girls would enjoy most (or at least I think it is), Road Warrior is probably the best movie (from a traditional "what makes for a great movie" sense), and "Rounders" is also one any real movie fan should see. "Gone in 60 Seconds" is not a great movie, but a the same time it has something compelling about it, particularly the cast and score.

Cliff Endicott

The is barely continuity between the first two Mad Maxes. Most Americans in the '80s didn't even know there was a Mad Max 1.

Mike Lemon

Really a bit of a mixed bag here. As of this writing I'm not really understanding the equalizer love? It seemed pretty forgettable to me. Twins would be interesting just for the different factor. 60 was huge when it came out but is pretty corny in spots. Road warrior is good but are we setting ourselves up for a Batman 89 situation where she has seen the more modern version and in some cases the older one seem strange comparison? I don't know I don't really feel like I have a dog in this fight.

Canadianant

The Equalizer is garbage (based on a very good tv series); Gone in 60 Seconds is a good remake of an "okay" 1970s movie, Twins is funny and heartwarming, and The Road Warrior is a must-see classic. But only if you've already seen Mad Max. The Da Vinci Code is, imo, crap, and I haven't seen "Rounders". So, emulating Leslie Nielsen in "Airplane"... I voted for "R.E.D." instead.

Jim Williams

I hope Rounders gets another chance soon. There are so many great moments in that movie. Would love to see a reaction to that

Thoko

Da Vinci Code and Gone in 60 Seconds are must watches, I'll vote for 60 because Nick Cage is awesome

J.J

Maybe you would have preferred Foucault's Pendulum (and Umberto Eco in general). :-)

Happy Hanukkah

Twins would be a nice change, and I think you’d love it.

James UK

Easy poll - Equalizer w/ Denzel Washington. (say it just like that, every syllable “Den-zel-Wash-ing-ton!”)

Ike

Rounders. I love that movie. When I was into playing poker that movie just was at the right time and place for me. High stakes poker and high tension. John Malkovich is amazing as KGB. It's such a great movie. This is a film that Cassie and Carly would enjoy. They love those casino scenes! This is it and so much more!

rakesh

Both Equalizer movies are what I call Dad Movies but I mean that as a huge compliment. It’s the kinda movie your dad watches on a Sunday while falling asleep in the recliner as the credits roll. I love them.

djKENTO

@stick figure studios you're not missing anything with the novels

Wu Sha Ling

DA VINCI CODE was surprisingly dull.

Stick Figure Studios

I never read the book, but I found the film rather dull.

Stick Figure Studios

@Larry: It's been a while since I last watched them, but I don't remember a lot.of continuity between the first two Mad Max movies (I just remember the second one being better than the first, which was still good), so I'm not sure it's necessary, but then again, I'm usually in favor of watching a series in order, so even though she's already seen FURY ROAD if she chooses to watch MAD MAX before the ROAD WARRIOR, I won't be disappointed.

Stick Figure Studios

@Shawn: I think she'd like EQUALIZER well enough.

Stick Figure Studios

Man I hope gone in 60 seconds wins

Marvin dishman

Like with the Jack Ryan films, I believe, She would watch Mad Max (1979) before watching The Road Warrior. Pretty Sure. Very Possibly.

Larry Darrell

Equalizer is awesome!

Joe Mallard

Maybe I am a snob but when the book Da Vinci code was popular and after reading it, I was thoroughly disappointed. Everyone can like whatever they like, but Dan Brown is a weak writer. Using historical iconography doesn't make his thrillers any better. His book Inferno is almost a personal insult to me. I am a fan of Dante and using it as a cheap plotpoint in his writing felt degrading in many ways. But again, if you like the movies, you like the movies.

Wu Sha Ling

Da Vinci Code is the worst kind of stupid movie because it really wants to make you think it’s smart by putting in all these historical references and Latin phrases…it’s so, so dumb

jdj830

I would have voted for it as well if Cassie had already seen the OG Mad Max. Like you, I don't have a dog in this fight but I chose The Equalizer thinking it will provide the most entertaining reaction from Cassie

Shawn Kildal

IMHO, order of movies 4/5/3/1/2/6. All are worthy in their own way.

Blindsquirrel

Of course it is, it is the movie everybody else reacted to a few months ago. Heaven forbid some variety seeps into the bigger "reactors".

Mike Lemon

Tough poll - all of them, really

Planner

I have to admit, I don't really have a horse in this race. None of these titles are really "bad" per se (a couple are even good). It's just hard to get excited about any of these options... though I do like ROAD WARRIOR, so I guess I'll vote for that one.

Stick Figure Studios

Me, I want to watch her watch a smart grungy movie. Matt Damon struggling to use his actual brains not just his cyber-enhanced-bs. And Ed Norton plays the greatest charming doofus ever. Go Rounders!

jeff

Gotta go with Da Vinci Code, who doesn't love a murder mystery

Tim Phistry

I went back and watched the end of Cassie’s reaction to Fury Road and changed my vote from Rounders to Road Warrior. She can handle it. You’re right that Mad Max needs to win.

jdj830

gone in 60 seconds (2000) is far and away the most fun pick here

diego kontarovsky

While most of the movies on this list are decent picks - I had to go with Road Warrior. One of my favorite movies of all time. I do like the Equalizer a LOT as well, but as I said - most of the movies on the list are decent/good. The Road Warrior is ONLY movie on this list that is a post apocalyptic futuristic movie about redemption. Can't say more without giving too much. There are better made movies, but the story is about his character.

ENC SW DV Rush

The Road Warrior needs to win this. Come on guys. It’s one of the great action films of all time

Stan the Man

While Equalizer is very good, it’s another action flick. Shake it up a bit with some Road Warrior craziness. I’m sure it’ll be a great reaction either way.

FischerMax98

Right now Equalizer is winning with Gone in a close second. I would be very OK with either winning.

mikethemotormouth

Vanishing Point (1971) is one of my All-Time Favorites of all films. I hope Cassie gets to see it one day… down the road that is. Not sure She’s fully ready for it. One Day maybe.

Larry Darrell

The Equalizer is a decent action flick, but it's nowhere near as unique as almost every other film on this list. Typical really. Oh well.

Astraeos

Exactly! I feel like all too often I see people saying "I voted for X cause she'd enjoy it the most" but Cassie started the channel to break out of her comfort zone. Just my two cents

mikethemotormouth

I feel like THE EQUALIZER is one of those movies that it seems every other reactor on YT has done, except for Cassie. I hope that's the one that wins, although I wouldn't mind seeing THE ROAD WARRIOR or TWIINS win, either.

Steven Perez

Twins all the way!

David Crabtree

If only people understood that it would be a tragedy for Mad Max not to win outright. These voters frustrate me 🤦‍♀️

John Cranberry

Come on guys…it’s time Cassie watches the OG Mad Max 1 & 2.

John Cranberry

One vote for the Ayatollah of Rock-and-Rolla.

Carol_White

Out of the 3 Films on the poll that are part of a series, and that could create multiple Reactions… The Mad Max series is Pound for Pound the better of them.

Larry Darrell

Rounders was my vote

TwistedMagoo

Rounders so low in the poll. A shame, Cassie does love her some Vegas.

Seymor Butz

While The Road Warrior is one of my favorite films ever, I had to with The Equalizer. It’s seems like a film the ladies would really get behind.

Brian Lowery

Twins, Equalizer and the Da Vinci Code are the superior movies on this list

zynjams

Good summary that follows my line of thinking, I went with Rounders.

Tringard

the music, the intrigue, Hanks/Howard, and Paul Bettany playing that creepy guy with the calleice... imho, the best movie of the lot... definitely... DaVinci Code.

Terry Yelmene

Exactly right. Alongside Vanishing Point it’s my favorite movie of the “car porn” sub-genre.

Just Plain Bob

What about the other movies? " The DaVinci Riddle", "The Pavement Fighter" , "The Circlers" , "The Sum Total Balancer", "These People Look the Same".

Hat

Surely "The Road Warrior"...

Jens Kristensen

Road Warrior is definitely the best of the lot, but I’m not sure you would find it enjoyable. Twins is cute but I have a feeling its brand of comedy hasn’t aged well. The Equalizer is brutal. Rounders is the kind of movie you would probably watch to the end if you randomly stumbled upon it in a hotel room or on an airplane; it’s fitfully entertaining but nothing special. And, no offense, but Gone in 60 Seconds and the Da Vinci Code are both irredeemably silly and pretentious. I have to give my vote some thought.

jdj830

One Hour Long Car Chase… ‘nuff said. That would be the original Gone in 60 Seconds (1974), by the way.

Larry Darrell

If Twins win, please make sure both Carly and you watch it together. You already have Rain Man on the “to watch list”, so hopefully we go 2 for 2.

FranciscoGios

Since you've already dipped your toe into the Mad Max world, I hope Road Warrior wins and then you round out the series with Beyond Thunderdome. Of course you'd LOVE Twins.

Javier Hernandez

Shame, Road warrior should be the clear winner.

Benjamin Gerrald

Have to do Twins

Bradley

Hey I think we'd all be down with any of those, but let's go Twins get on your horse! Twins is great Cassie, that's the first time Arnold did comedy and he had to bet on himself and take very little money up front because no one thought he could do it. To be fair, that was a pretty odd sell at the time lol.

Erik Daniel

twins is the most entertaining

Wu Sha Ling

It HAS to be Equalizer.... it just has to be.

Mark Schamber

I was thinking the same thing.

Jerrod Acree

Gone in 60 Seconds. This makes the case for how important a title is for a movie. How many people would have seen this if it had been titled "Gone in a minute"?

Clear Light

https://popcornrequests.com/ -- just beware the site is a little tricky to navigate

Tom Evans

The road warrior only at 12%!? You people disappoint me.

Snapjaw

Cmon twins!

Yaisu

Road Warrior is so damn good.

sarCC

It's my opinion, Tim.

Ray Johnson

But the theme song in Da Vinci Code is the best one of the franchise!!

sarCC

I voted for Gone In 60 Seconds. While it’s arguably not the best movie in the poll, I think it would make for a better reaction video for Cassie, being something she probably wouldn’t watch otherwise.

Luke Godfrey

Had to vote for Gone in 60 seconds so Equalizer doesn't win. But Twins is a must watch! And Rounders!

Ray Johnson

Ooh, what an interesting poll. All great movies for what they are.

Mike Lemon

No it’s not.

Tim Raths

I need rounders and gone in 60 :( lol

Enygmah

I know, but I still hate it.

Just Plain Bob

Watch Twins w Sisy

Kathy Carter

Some of these movies are better than others and of course opinions will vary, however I believe that these all are likely to make very good reactions.

JC762

The Equalizer... worst movie on the list is winning???

Ray Johnson

Gone in 60 seconds, Rounders, Twins and the Da Vinci Code...Screw it, just watch em all Cassie lol

Edgar Gonzalez

I liked this one, but didn’t care for the sequel as much. We’ve got a lot of Denzel to get through before I can get “The Hurricane” watched.

Cole Jennett

Save Twins for Carly, a good RomCom for you two.

Philip Herman

How are requests made? I see a reference to the "requests app," but that's the first time I've seen that mentioned.

Cory H

It’s the one that people are requesting in the app🤷‍♂️

Cole Jennett

Anything but Gone in 60 Seconds (which amazingly has the lead right now). Equalizer or Twins would probably be my top 2.

Mike Melfa

Gotta throw in with Rounders here too. In this list of movies, it's the only film, IMO.

Jay Davis

I like them all so no problems for me 😁

Wes

Yes, lets have a comedy.

Mike LL

Please God… anything but Da Vinci Code! That movie (the whole series, really) is horrible and dull. It would be a terrible movie to react to. Please remember the lesson learned from Live and Let Die. Vote responsibly and don’t force Da Vinci Code.

Cliff Stephenson

Blasphemy again!! Cassie needs more Schwarzenegger! Twins! Mad Max is acceptable as well.

Todzilla

I'd usually vote for the comedy, but this time I'm going with The Equalizer. More Denzel is a good thing.

Dave

I gotta throw my support behind TWIiNS

Jason Dolan

Yeah .. gotta see Road Warrior before Beyond Thunderdome.

Bill Maurer

Rounders baby!!!

J M

Out of these movies I know that you would enjoy twins the most but most likely you're going to watch that anyways that's why I cast my vote for gone in 60 seconds

Manuel Villacana

Tough choice. I wouldn’t mind any of them winning. Ultimately, I voted for Twins.

Robert da Spruce

Although that is Beyond Thunderdome.

Brian McGovern

Rounders is fantastic! I hate that the godawful remake of Gone In 60 Seconds is in the poll instead of the original.

Just Plain Bob

The Equalizer for the win.👍

Danny (Icarus)

The Road Warrior ... remember, Cassie is the one who said the immortal words, "two men enter one man leave." PS: The Searchers !!

Bill Maurer

Anything except Rounders

David Nesbit

My vote went to Rounders but I would be fine with The Equalizer or The Road Warrior.

Tim Raths

Road Warrior, no question

B.J. Wilson

Road Warrior for sure, and just maybe follow up with the entire Mel Gibson’s Mad Max series? This series along with Braveheart & The Patriot are the only handful movies Mel Gibson are good in acting/directing-chop. Cos for directing Mel Gibson has a masterpiece in Apocalypto, a movie shot completely in ancient language which are no longer spoken, about family and survival during Aztec/Mayan apocalypse. The rest of this list are really weak
