Melancholia - Danish director (Lars von Trier), actors from many countries and filmed in Sweden 🙂 Great one.

Björn Karlsson

this movie is actually loosely based on my life

I’ve watched this movie a few times in the past and never cried during it, but for some reason this time I had to wipe my eyes a few times. I think the emotions are contagious.

Aaron Ritchie

It turned out to be one big sobfest for us all where boxes of tissues were demolished.

Damon

I remember watching this in the cinema with a couple of friends for my birthday

This reaction should've been sponsored by Kleenex!

I watched the Deep Impact YT reaction video and it gave me a good reminder about the film's story line -- Cassie's video editor does a GREAT job at retaining key story points while avoiding copyright take downs. I've watched Armageddon several times and my preference goes to Armageddon. It is just more fun and doesn't take itself as seriously. Easier to go back to for multiple viewings. I hope it gets reviewed at some time. BTW, If you are looking for an emotionally strong disaster film, try Melancholia staring Kirsten Dunst - aptly titled.

I'm not crying, you're crying!!

This was a fun reaction, seeing you and Carly reacting and getting emotional is always a joy for me to see, just shows you two have such kind and loving hearts lol! I actually remember seeing this in the theatre when I was young, but unfortunately I kept falling asleep a lot during the movie, I honestly don't know why! Like I said once though, the Disaster genre of films isn't exactly my cup of tea, with the exception of Armageddon and Volcano! Speaking of Armageddon, I was surprised to know (I assume) that you haven't seen it, when I actually thought you have, hmm🤔lol😂 Well, if it's true you haven't seen it, then I highly recommend you react to it, it's one of my favorite movies, mainly because the entire cast is so A-list and each character they play has great chemistry! Though I admit, Bruce Willis was the reason why I like Armageddon more than this movie lol! Still, it was great chatting with you during the premiere, you're a sweetheart as always lol! Have a great rest of your week, see you for Popcorn Salt & Butter this Thursday, much love and support, you and Carly are the best and as always [snaps fingers & winks] stay classy Cassie🥰😁😉👍🌹

I want to speak up a bit for Armageddon. I didn't think too much of it the first time I saw it - some of it is pretty far-fetched, but since then and after additional viewings it has grown on me. Best not to take it too seriously. It is a guilty pleasure kind of movie for me.

RandyCC

I cry like crazy every time I watch this movie, and I watch it whenever I get a chance. It has an amazing cast, for one thing. But it also is so believable, for a disaster movie. Where this one is Cinderella, Armageddon is it's Ugly Stepsister. Totally UNBELIEVABLE! 😉 Now, you need another good Robert Duvall movie to watch. Try Phenomenon. It's another favorite. 🥰

Jocelyn Haeberle

I am SO glad that you finally got to see this gem. It came out right around the same time as Armageddon did, so it got pushed aside a little. I still think this one was better. This movie makes me cry everytime I watch it, in the same places you two did. Thank you for pointing out the double meaning of the title. It was very impactful emotionally, and spiritually. Enjoy Dante's Peak.

Dan Campbell

OH YEAH! That was the first time I saw her lol

Randolph Tirazona

I know about the immersion - for me it was with Téa Leoni and her part as Jenny Lerner - 'guiding'/'living it with us' that was thee most impactful for me. In the theater it was GREAT! And yes I love Madame Secretary! Bess lol :) Cassy :) :) Carly :) YAY!

Randolph Tirazona

This comment is a must.

This movie just reminded me, since you both loved Lord of the RIngs so much you should really do a reaction to Tolkien. It's a movie about the author and his inspirations for writing the books. It also has a love story that I think you'll like

Cor

Blimey, a double CassieCarly cry-a-thon with the ‘take the baby scene’ I don’t blame you though, I forgot how tense this movie is and I thought Leelee Sobieski (Frodo’s girlfriend) played that ‘take the baby’ scene with such conviction.

Ria Grix

Elijah Wood character just trying to drag his wife and the baby gets me every time. A true husband.

Maria Soberanis

Being such fans of Robert Duvall, you got to take the time to watch the Lonesome Dove series.

John P Tucker

"Armageddon" was the fun, popcorn (no pun intended) movie that is still worth watching, While this was the more serious side, Now that you did "Dante's Peak" (very good movie - never seen it before) you should compare it to "Volcano". PS: As always, "The Searchers" !!!

Bill Maurer

Great one. Thanks!

Steve Brown

Nice to have something to download before my flight. I always really liked this movie.

Brian Wicker

Of all the disaster flicks that came out around the same time (and probably since), this one was so well done and more realistic, and actually made you think, "What would I do?" Great reaction ladies.

Damon

Almost time for New York!!!!
