"Don't be so gullible McFly!" "I love to dance a little sidestep.......and lead the people on" - edited out by james flack (along with many other posts). I figured out that you're a troll, the first time I put any thought into it, so who are you calling gullible, troll? And trolls are attention seeking children that I don't waste my time with so we're done here.

@ Mike - I was was genuinely trying to help this guy, only to get a bunch of deleted comments and general BS. I'm torn between thinking he's a troll or just a bit off - or maybe both. He claims to be 75 and not used to comments sections, yet seems to be remarkably internet aware when it comes to deleting and changing his comments for someone of his supposed age and experience.

I'll add, don't edit your comment in an attempt to hide what you said. That is the dink move that drives me crazy , and it's why I quote parts I reply to when talking to people like James.

Try and help some people. The only people who will be replying to your comments will be the ones who think it's funny to make you delete them.

I understand your concerns and can sympathize as I've had a person literally hate post on every comment I posted in a comments section over a general comment I made that wasn't even directed at this person. But I did not delete any of those posts. Part of posting in a comments section is you're putting your opinion out there for everyone to see - and comment on. There is no "I directed this at one person, no one else can comment". You may not agree or like some of those comments, but people will comment anyway. You can still walk away without deleting your posts. If someone gets to the point of making me angry I just post something like "If you're going to act irrational I will no longer engage with you" and I do exactly that, even if they keep posting. If you leave the post up and the poster is truly being irrational others patrons will often come to your defense. But if you're just having an argument with a normal person and want to end it simply post "we will have to agree to disagree since neither of us is going change our minds" and most people will respect it, and if they don't just ignore them and move on - the worst thing you can do to a person looking for a argument is ignore them.
That all out of the way, the worst thing you can do is delete your posts. Doing that gives the impression of weakness, and not just to the person you're having a problem with. It's also annoying to the people who posted who were supporting you or even just having a related side conversation, and anyone who posted under your op already knows what was written and is just left thinking that you're afraid to stand up for your statements. It's really not a good look. And I'm not just directing this at you, it's been at pet peeve of mine for quite awhile. Anyone deleting their posts without a really good reason like spoilers or offensive comments (your own offensive comments, other peoples should be left up for everyone to see) just think of how you're coming off to other posters before you delete.

So excited for Casino Royale. It was the last Ian Fleming book they never adapted for legal issues. So for that reason, it feels very much a return to Connery's Era but with an edge. All the best Bond films (except Diamonds are Forever) were faithful adaptations of the novels. It became hit or miss when they had to start making stuff up because they ran out of books.

@james flack - why do you delete so many of your posts? Seems like every post lately. You should maybe try standing by what you write and not worrying so much whether people agree with you or not. If you feel like you were wrong in your op then admit it and move on. I wouldn't care if it were just your post, but it wipes out everything that anyone took the time to comment wrote, often not even directed at you. Deleting a post without real cause (spoilers or offensive statements) is probably the most annoying thing people can do in a comments section.

He could have just said "it's about a spy trying to stop someone from taking over the world while having sex with various beautiful women" and been right 99% of the time.

I think Goldeneye gets some residual affection from people who love the video game so much.

After watching all these Bonds with them I have a funny feeling they're not going to like the Craig Bonds as much as some people think they are. But it's just a feeling, I wouldn't presume to think I know what they're going like (unlike many people here.).

I used to live in north London and I remember them filming the car park chase scenes at Brent Cross Shopping Centre (Mall) nearby. So I always find it funny to see the car scooting around and blowing things up in the local shopping centre car park and then somehow land in a car rental office in Stuttgart. Lol.

The Chinese spy is played by Michelle Yeoh, who was the greatest female action star ever in her early days making Hong Kong films. She's best known nowadays for playing the antagonist stepmom in Crazy Rich Asians and the lead in Everything Everywhere All at Once, but in between she made a couple of films that would be good for the channel: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) and Memoirs of a Geisha (2005).

A quote I just saw on IMDB quotes, Pierce Brosnan on Tomorrow Never Dies (1997): "I still don't know what the movie's about. I honestly couldn't tell you."

I've thought the same thing, that Goldeneye seems to look a bit more dated than the other Brosna Bond films, then just two years later it looks a lot more modern with TND, though in Die Another Day it gets dated to that time period of 2002.

I'm glad you're up to the Craig Bond films. Them were darn good.
