This movie has great dance numbers and a fun family dramedy.

2023-05-24 11:08:55 +0000 UTCHas anyone ever wondered, where the Blues Rock Music came from in the Dancing Scene? Or where Helen Tasker got her Sexy Dance Moves? No one hit the next track button on the CD player. The Music fades in over Sade's "I Never Thought I'd See the Day," which was playing when Helen entered the room. The Blues Song that fades in, is John Hiatt's "Alone in the Dark." This song came from Helen's Mind. Helen, who is a Neglected Wife, and has surely spent many a Nights Alone. "Alone in the Dark" if you will. Perhaps there was a night or multiple nights in the 15 Years that she had unknowingly been married to a spy, that she was Especially Missing her Husband. Perhaps Helen, who dreamed of being "Reckless and Wild" at least once in her life, on this Particular Night, with Dana staying at a friend's house, wanted to be Sexy for her Husband, and he did not show. Perhaps drinking too much in Self-Pity, listening to Sexy Blues Music, Helen tried out some Sexy Dance Moves and Danced until the Bottle was Empty. When Helen entered the hotel suite, she was Scared and Nervous, but also Excited. This was the Moment she had been dreaming about. The Look she gave herself in the Mirror after Transforming into a "Sexy Prostitute," was a Look of Pride. Helen knew that she was not going to do anything that would harm her relationship with her husband. We saw this with Simon, when she fought him off, and later when she expressed her Love for her Husband. The man on the phone said she didn't have to do anything sexual. "He likes to watch." This gave her the confidence, that she could accomplish this mission. Walking into that hotel suite, was probably the Most Thrilling thing she had done in her whole life. Her Excitement definitely outweighed her scaredness and nervousness. Helen's scene in the hallway, proved She Wants to Impress. Helen is asked to remove her dress and dance, and her nerves get the better of her. She Fumbles. He tells her to dance Sexy. She then remembers that she has done this before. She remembers her Favorite Sexy Blues Song, Plays it in her Mind and then does her Best Sexy Dance, that she had practiced Alone... in the Dark. Unbeknownst to Helen, that she is actually dancing in front of the one person, whom she always intended to dance for... Her Husband. In my opinion, Harry intended to tell Helen that night, but She ruined those plans in Spectacular Fashion... with the phone. He always underestimated her. Also, Anyone ever pay attention to the Lyrics to John Hiatt's "Alone in the Dark," which was Edited in the film, to remove lyrics that deviate from the story. But I'm assuming it was the Brendan Fraser one. Another Halloween slot wasted on a non-horror movie. And please don't try and convince me that it's a horror movie - it's a action comedy with mummies in it.
