The Book of Boba Fett (EP 5-7) - Full Reaction

I'm pretty sure I liked this series more than most... It is hard, however, when your two favorite episodes don't include the title character! There was some cheese throughout these epi's, especially in episode 7, but you know what was worth it all! Hope you guys had fun watching along with me, I'm now ready for MANDO S3!!!

The Book of Boba Fett (EP 5-7) - Full Reaction

Comments

Next week D23 starts, we might get an official release schedule for it. It cannot come soon enough!

Chris Retzlaff

A big +1 for Andor. My favorite Star Wars series, even more than The Mandalorian that I very much liked. Diego Luna said the filming of S2 is complete. S2 should air in early 2025.

Clay F

Now, I understand why Cassie keeps calling Boba Fett, "Bubba." That's cute. BTW, I've been to the province of Quebec (doing genealogy stuff), but I didn't go to Montreal. Supposedly, there's some old world, historical type places there; I should go back some time.

Stephen Dias

Hope you haven't Givin up on Andor, that was truly a great series, these are fun in the Feloniverse, but true cinematic show well written, Andor!

Chris Retzlaff

I loooove Cad Bane!!! You didn't recognize him because he was in the animated series. Also he trained boba fett

Jayson Phillips

I love the BD droid too, it's your companion in Star Wars game.

Jayson Phillips

I was happy to hear Luke’s theme music πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Tara

Disney hired a deep fake artist to do Luke in Boba Fett after the actual cgi artist hired at Disney didn't do the best in the last ep of season 2 mando.

LightsCameraJake

Just wanted to say a very minor Clone Wars detail since I doubt you ever will watch the whole thing, Cad Bane(the evil blue guy with the hat) fought in that show many times against Obi-Wan and Anakin.

YodatheHobbit

Grown ups like Star Wars in all it's forms.

YodatheHobbit

I actually thought the series was alright. Not nearly as bad as some people say. I enjoyed the stuff about Boba with the Tusken raiders. I enjoyed the Marshal. The politics was kinda slow. But Mando and Grogu to the rescue! The young Luke was done surprisingly well. I think that’s the most realistic CGI to date. There were some instances it still looked fake. But much better than Leia in Rogue One. Overall though, a decent series. And a nice setup for Mando Season 3. Looking forward to your reaction to that Cassie!

Robert da Spruce

She has seen Obi Won in the channel. It was before True Detective.

David Freese

Now that is what I call Star Wars. I'm so glad I waited to watch this show with PIB, when Grogu and Mando reunited, right in the middle of a battle lol, Cassie's reaction reminded me why I'm here, so fun. I was really impressed by this series, and love that they included Cad Bane too (what a great character from Clone Wars, and that name... like someone in the writing room was like, "What's a good villain name, think of some villains..." "I don't know, Cain is a pretty cool bad name." "Hmm, bad, Cain... CAD BANE!!" I liked this so much I really hope they either continue this series or heavily incorporate the characters into The Mandalorian story line, at least Boba and Fennec, they were so cool. Boba Fett has always been my favorite character, since I saw Return of the Jedi when I was 6, even though he was only in the movie for a few scenes and died (we thought) in the Sarlac Pit, when my parents asked what I wanted for Christmas that year it was a Boba Fett action figure. I finally feel vindicated after all these years lol always knew there was something intriguing about the character, badass.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

Cassie!!! Please please please watch the "Obi-Wan Kenobi" miniseries they did on Disney+!! There is more than a few familiar faces that makes that one a fun ride!!

Riley

shoot, i’ll try to fix that! sorry!

Cassie

oh very smart actually

Cassie

I hear ya, bro. I really do. For me, the sequels and The Mandalorian actually made the prequels more tolerable. In about ten years, when all the kids who grew up with the Sequels come of age, and have that nostalgic love of them the way the kids who grew up with the prequels loved them comes to fruition, I think we will see a resurgence, and I'm really looking forward to Daisy Ridley returning as Rey Skywalker. I think they'll give her a new trilogy in the 2030s. I mean, if they can bring back Hayden, they can bring back anybody. Because watching him in the prequels WAS dental surgery, lol. For me at least.

Jason Dolan

While I appreciate your reasoned response I'm won't go into the many reasons I prefer the Prequels, I'll just say I'd watch the Prequels over the Sequels any time. In fact if the choice were between the Sequels and dental surgery I might have to go to the dentist because at least there anesthesia would be involved

Richard Maurer

The prequels didn't do a good job with Anakin, butchered Leia's memory of her mother, and R2D2 flying, not to mention the only good acting we got was from Ewan, Liam and Ian. Everyone else was terrible. Zero chemistry between Natalie and Hayden. It just didn't work at all for me. They needed a director. George can't direct actors. He should have gotten directors to help him like Kershner and Marquand did. And the visual effects were not good enough for the scope of these films. It was too plot based, not enough character based. The sequels focused on characters. Loved what they did with Han and Luke and Leia. Felt they did a good job of recovering after Carrie passed. Lucas was making up the original trilogy as he went along (i.e. Leia was never supposed to be Luke's sister, he made that change between Empire and Return, just like they made the change of Rey's backstory, so for me, the sequel trilogy is much more like the original trilogy in that regard - loose and fun) and I ended up loving the Dyad. Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley gave masterclass performances and I believed their connection as much as I didn't believe Anakin and Padme. As for the Emperor, Star Wars has ALWAYS been about space ghosts and clones - I loved that the Emperor was able to transfer his conscious into a clone body. I loved that the son of Vader was ultimately defeated by his inability to control the fate of his nephew - he saved his father but he couldn't save Ben. Brilliant. And that destroyed him. He did what Yoda and Kenobi did, disconnected from the Force and moved to a remote planet. That was the realist thing in Star Wars. Luke was never Space Jesus. He is not perfect. He buckled under the pressure of being perfect. But the way they modified Luke reaching out to Leia in Empire, into Rey and Kylo being able to connect in person with the Force - brilliant - and Luke using that trick to help save Leia - brilliant. I loved the sequel trilogy. Way more than the prequel trilogy. But that's just my subjective opinion of course.

Jason Dolan

I agree about Andor - it's actually too "good" to feel like Star Wars. The Original Trilogy was called space opera for good reason, definitely more light-hearted and melodramatic than the serious drama of Andor. But you lost me at "Sequels over Prequels" - that's a bridge too far.

Richard Maurer

While I mostly agree with the SW community about the sequel trilogy being horrible I think both this show and Obi-wan Kenobi prove that anything that isn't near perfect is garbage in the eyes of most of SW fandom. Both these shows were certainly flawed but neither was as bad as they were made out to be.

Richard Maurer

Who is Cad Bane? Just another question that can be answered from the Clone Wars series. He's not THAT important, but he's a cool character, who knew Boba Fett when he was just a kid.

KTVindicare

Cad Bane "looks like the Mouth of Sauron meets Avatar"...Cassie you truly are a poet. That's brilliant

SeanATX

You know this show isn't great when I'm a big Star Wars fan and my first reaction to this post was relief that she's done with this so she can go back to the Last of Us lol BOBF had some cool moments and Episode 6 was beautiful fan service but it just could've been a lot better

Jyn Jilly

Only person to ever request a carry on in star wars.

Tonio

There was a small scene you missed in the credits.

Yaisu

Yea same. I have to time it to some of her more reactive moments to line up where it would be

LuMarq

You mentioned watching the Variety interview with Pedro? You should really record your reactions to short videos like that. It was hilarious and the shorter reaction videos would be easier to edit.

KMJ

Is it just me or is the reaction not synced up with the video, like at all? I have to run my video like 4 or 5 seconds behind what it says in the reaction...

POSTALMNDCLARITY

Episode 5: Mando's back baby! Didn't expect that did you? I don't think that Mando would have ever been that violent with Grogu around even though I think that's the reason for Mando to be so violent; he misses Grogu Episodes 6: Grogu misses his dad I feel like if I think of it this way it's a better show; Mando Grogu and Boba Fett' s characters people always telling them how to be Grogu uses the force doesn't mean he's a Jedi he's both Jedi and a Mandalorian Mando being a Mandalorian doesn't mean he has to stick to those strict rules Boba Fett just because he is also a bounty hunter doesn't mean he can't be what he wants to be. Also changing the title to something else would have helped. Episode 7 Grogu hugging Din is so cute Grogu would have totally taken Luke's X wing to go see Din πŸ˜† It still ends up being about Din and Grogu by the end not that I'm complaining.

Catradora fan

Been a fan since I was 8 and saw ep 4 in theaters in 1977, perhaps because of this I love every SW production movie or series, including this one, and look forward to watching Mando S3 and Andor for the 1st time as Cassie reacts to them!

Collar City Guy

Yep, there's about a 5 sec delay in Cassie's reaction.

Aaron Mann

100x this.

Matt Rose

That was my 🎬PSM🎬, lol

Jason Dolan

One of her producers needs to tell Cassie to just take her earbuds out and start her wrap up as the credits play on screen so that if a mid-credits scene surprises her she can just pop her earbud back in.

Jason Dolan

Idk if it’s just me but it isn’t exactly synced up to the show. There is like a 10 second delay where Cassie is behind what’s being shown.

Alex Gorell

There's a mid-credit scene about the Marshal. Don't miss that.

Timothy Roberts

She missed the part with the Bacta tank at the end... lol

Andrew Rose

🎬🎬🎬 PUBLIC SERVICE MESSAGE - Cassie's reaction is behind a couple of seconds with the visual cue so sync accordingly! 🎬🎬🎬

Jason Dolan

Super SwordπŸ˜‚

Jason Dolan

Andor is more Star Trek than Star Wars - the one thing that show lacked for me was any sense of fun - similar to Rogue One in that fashion which is why I preferred Solo - much more fun - Star Wars is all about the balance of fun and drama - the Prequels were too silly at times and then they couldn't balance out the drama the way the OT did, but The Mandelorian, and to some extent this series, were like Goldie Lox finding Baby Bear's porridge.

Jason Dolan

You know your show is in trouble when the best episodes don't even feature your main character (I remember when it was on there was a hilarious meme going around that said "Popular Star Wars character Boba Fett will make appearance in BOOK OF BOBA FETT"). Also, the fact that they undid in just a couple episodes the whole goal/story arc of MANDO season 2 just felt lazy, like a cheat. Yes, I'm glad they're back together too, but then what was the point trying to get him to Luke in the first place? This whole endeavor just feels like a desperate course correction and it could have been great. There was a lot of potential here for show about such a beloved, mysterious and badass Star Wars character, but I think they squandered it. It's the weakest of all the SW shows imo (though I haven't seen ANDOR yet). Oh, well. On to MANDO Season 3.

Stick Figure Studios

This show is actually pretty great - I liked it much more than Andor, which I know a lot of people loved - for all its hokiness and cheesiness which are trademarks of Star Wars in of themselves, this show felt more connected to the Original Trilogy than Andor did. Post Original Trilogy Star Wars has been much better than Prequel Era Star Wars for me. I think people who grew up on the Clone Wars see it differently and that makes sense, but I think ultimately, I am personally just a bigger fan of the Mandalorian era of Star Wars, but I'm also someone who thinks the Sequel Trilogy is much better than the Prequel Trilogy and that's a line in the sand a lot of people won't cross, because we know how that generation feels about sand.

Jason Dolan

Cassie if you want great lines and a superb writing you have to see Andor...is like SW for grown ups.....

salim alvarez

His reputation is mainly coming from the books and comics dude not the movies. He is a joke in the movies.

Curaitis

The last 3 episodes are called "The Mandalorian Season 2.5" for a reason.

Nathan Swapp

I like how SW fans think Boba Fett is this badass because of the movies, but he was only in the movies for a few minutes. I actually saw people that thought he should have just been ruling the city after 1 or 2 episodes. I much preferred the slow burn where he built up his team to help him control the city. I do hate how they brought Grogu back. If they couldn't stay away from the character for a while (because of $$), then The Mandalorian S3 should have been about him coming back. And seeing Cad Bane in live action was pretty sweet. 😁

Bryan Fritchie

Can't wait for OHMSS!

Tej Shah

Can't wait to watch these last 3!

Todzilla

If it ain't the original it will always get hate in the SW community, that's just how they are. Boba was a fine show. Sure Mando probably has more going for it, but that doesn't mean it is bad. Not perfect or anything but enjoyable nonetheless. However they did make a big mistake in my opinion. By having full blown Mando dedicated eps inside this show it completely throws the balance off. That did a disservice to the Boba story line. I get they needed to show what was going on with Mando first in order to logically get him there in the end, but I think they could have opted to make him story wise unavailable and just focus on Boba's story. And keep the Mando stuff for it's own show. Because if you didn't watch Boba, you missed some big plot development for Mando going into S3, which is not what you want. All in all, don't feel bad about saying you like something even if the (SW) community/majority didn't or even says you shouldn't either.
