Runner Up Poll

When I was gathering these runner ups from past polls, each one I saw I was like "oh I bet this will win" then I would see the next one and think "oh actually this one will win" All this to say, I think these choices will be tough!

We're going to do things a little differently with this poll. You guys will vote and then the top 4 will go to a poll on YT for YT members. We have had a few more members over there lately and want to give them some perks too ;) So lets see if the results change too much once it switches platforms DUN DUN DUUUUNNNN

This poll will end on Wednesday 3/1 at midnight MST

PS you can vote more than once!

PSS the winning video may not be posted until middle of March

Comments

Awesome 😃😃😃 Thanks 🥰🥰🥰

Björn Karlsson

👍

Jon Freezin-Rain

Im more of a Taxi Driver early DeNiro movie person

zynjams

Hehe nah 🤣🤣 if you could request my favorite movie - "Show me love" 😇😆

Björn Karlsson

I found The Deer Hunter to be a Hopeful Film.

Larry Darrell

"Your a peach" is that supportive enough? OR "Your a daisy if you do" 😁😁 ?

Jon Freezin-Rain

Most want to see The Deer Hunter or Bridge On the River Kwai. Two great classics that don’t get enough attention these days.

China Andronicus

Yes, please watch it! And keep the Deer Hunter in mind for either another war movie pick or classics. It’s so underrated nowadays and Walken is brilliant in it! 😭

China Andronicus

There has never been a more perfect movie reaction for Cassie than LADYHAWKE!

Super Powered Design (Jim)

It’s worth it for Walken’s brilliant and Oscar winning performance. I would love it if we watched this one.

China Andronicus

Deerhunter is underrated though, and Walken’s performance alone makes it worth a watch. So many just know his colorful personality and don’t really appreciate how amazing an actor he is.

China Andronicus

It's also a film he was nominated for Worst Supporting Actor for btw. He was critically bashed for his performance.

Shawn Kildal

Cassie has mentioned FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME before several times. It's on her radar. Maybe when baseball season begins I hope, which is right around the corner

Shawn Kildal

I can support, if you will support me. 🙂 Ok done, can you help me 😇

Björn Karlsson

New topic: American Underdog needs to find it's way into a poll. It's on the popcornrequest site so some support there? If you've seen it you know, if not go watch you will

Jon Freezin-Rain

North By Northwest is a fantastic movie. Hopefully she'll get to it before too long. The classics will always be there!

Richard Rolen

I have seen most of the movies suggested and am familiar with the others. The Bridge on the River Kwai happens to be the only one of the films listed that has any appeal for me at all.

Ted Little

Rush Hour

Joe Mallard

Have a suggestion: how about the patreons choose the winner and then YouTube voters choose the winner from the next four finishers and then Cassie watches them both.

Al Swearengen

Now heres someone with the guts to play for blood.

Kevin Kuma

Gonna be hard to watch cause "I cant see a damn thing".

Kevin Kuma

I havent seen Highlander so I think im part of the problem.

Kevin Kuma

Poor Tin Cup. Its day in the light will just have to wait.

Kevin Kuma

Interstellar is a great movie to cure insomnia.

Al Swearengen

feel it's a bit overrated tbh. Rewatched it recently, imho it doesn't hold up. The sequels also were awful. The only thing that was positive was the tv series.

rakesh

I'm starting to think Highlander is doomed to keep showing up in these polls because it won't ever win.

John Casamassa

We need to get a breakdown census of the different age groups involved..use that info in a mutually beneficial way for everyone..

Celeste McAllister

To close to an election, contender has some bias political views,I believe she was right not to view the contender at that time..

Celeste McAllister

Let's give the Monsters & Wizards a time out as well..

Celeste McAllister

"Overrated" has been tossed around so much it's beginning to lose its meaning..😃

Celeste McAllister

Have you girls heard of Strange magic by george lucas? think it would be a win* Love what you do!

Cojuancidence

I’m so motivated to have the girls watch a Chris Tucker film 😂😂😂

Joseph harper

It will happen, Jason. I'm certain of it.

Stick Figure Studios

Unrelated but I think red dawn and dazed and confused would both be good watches

Dale Shackleford

you are not alone, Cassie would love it

Keith Jones

So Celeste I'm a one too cause I feel several are overrated myself. 😂

David Freese

Multi pass 🤪

David Freese

It's too long and it's so slow that every reaction to it is terrible 😔

David Freese

In a similar off-topic vein, many of us remember Cassie's reaction to the guard getting his comeuppance in Terminator 2: https://youtu.be/LMdGbUHdmM0?t=853 I also burst out laughing at Trixy Blue's reaction: https://youtu.be/9TmSHP0gOXY&t=1195s

Happy Hanukkah

@ Jason - Yes, comics are a much better read than encyclopedias.

Richard Maurer

From best to worst, obviously ;-)

Richard Maurer

I know it doesn't stand a chance , but "The Bridge on the River Kwai" is a great movie. Always hoping Dawn will do more old movies from the 50's and 60's.

Captain Caveman

Don't forget the grandson of an American Congressman playing a Russian Kurgan!

Sean Novack

Yep! I was there. I was going to make Robin's comment but he beat me to it!

Sean Novack

You're right. You're showing your age. ;-) Nothing wrong with that though. I only wonder if you have already seen the others and are basing your opinion on that, or if you aren't a fan of more modern films?

Sean Novack

I've always viewed "Unforgiven" as Westerns 401. In order to really appreciate it you have to be intimately familiar with the Western tropes it's trying to subvert. Within those constraints it's unparalleled. For those unfamiliar with the Western genre, it becomes boring and depressing.

Sean Novack

Ouch. Somebody had a nerve struck

Richard Maurer

Yes.

Richard Maurer

I know Tin Cup probably won’t win. But I hope Cassie watches it with Carly one day. Funniest Kevin Costner movie I’ve ever seen. 😁

WeekendWarrior88

Old as a pejorative in evaluating movies is disqualifying.

Jason Chirevas

I love those guys.

Jason Chirevas

I’ve all but given up hope NORTH BY NORTHWEST will ever be mentioned here again, let alone watched.

Jason Chirevas

TOMBSTONE is the comic book version of the story, WYATT EARP is the encyclopedia version. Not a surprise which one is more popular.

Jason Chirevas

My knowledge comes from a 50 years in the film industry insider I'm closely related to,I have his manuscripts and production schedules 1937-87.

Celeste McAllister

Asia and BJ? I saw they have a new reaction to it, but didn't watch.

Mike Lemon

That's why JW was the top box office draw for more than 40 years, his movies directed by John Ford remain popular to this day..

Celeste McAllister

Jeff Bridges is a terrific actor,he does a pretty good John Wayne imitation.

Celeste McAllister

From what I’ve heard about the YouTube crowd, trying to pick a 4th movie that would beat the Top 3, may be a Futile Gesture. Oh Well, if I picked One from the bottom, that I feel Cassie is the least likely to pick on her own, it would be The Deer Hunter. Here’s hoping it stays in future polls and doesn’t get shuffled out.

Larry Darrell

Total non-sequitur here but I had to share this: I'm watching a new LotR Fellowship reaction being done by a couple and I get to the part of the council of Elrond where (spoiler alert) Frodo agrees to take the ring, followed by Aragorn saying to Frodo "you have my sword" Legolas "you have my bow" Gimli "you have my axe", then the woman reactor says, dead serious. "He can't carry all that." I almost fell out of my chair.

Richard Maurer

You're right. There has to be monsters and wizards too.

Richard Maurer

There just may be some folks on here that think the same as Ms. Hanley.

Larry Darrell

Yeah I was wondering the same thing Casey. That's kind of the whole point of reaction channels.

Richard Maurer

Ahhhh I didn’t see that you asked about this too or I wouldn’t have. Although I wouldn’t have gotten a response so I’m glad you did! I was wondering the same thing.

Krusty “Topher”

Very disappointed the Treasure of the Sierra Madre wasn't on the poll. It's considered one of the best movies ever and finished right behind Bridge on the River Kwai.

Christopher Carr

Tombstone has to win this time. Looooong overdue. I've got two votes.....One for each of you.

Al Swearengen

Lol these are some good films

frank deleon

why does an actor need to have range if people enjoy what they are good at?

Andrew

"You're a daisy if you do!"

Robin Craft

So these are the movies you'll be reacting to in March? Excellent! :-P (Unfortunately.)

Happy Hanukkah

Bridge on the River Kwai is the best movie on this list, Tombstone and interstellar are the most popular, as a golfer, tin cup is hard to watch. and as a vet, the Deerhunter is a depressing, sad movie, that I only watched once and that was enough

zynjams

Kim Darby was not my favorite in that role.

Larry Darrell

Great Soundtrack

Larry Darrell

“HEEEEERE WE ARE, BORN TO BE KINGS, WE’RE THE PRINCES OF THE UNIVERSE”. I don’t know that Highlander would necessarily be a movie Cassie takes to, but she absolutely should give the soundtrack a listen. It punches so far above it’s weight, and is all top-notch jams from Queen.

Christopher B.

I read all the comments and yes I do like this poll, maybe because it's diverse but not polarized into just 2 camps. Technically I haven't seen Bridge on the River Kwai and The Deer Hunter but I could be persuaded on those two as well. Oh one more point - since no one person can make their favorite win, I like this idea where you vote for 4 essentially and then let the YT group pick the winner. It speaks to ultimately a lack of control but yet we can funnel or reduce the choices to a few then let fate decide. It's as good a system as any and it's a little less selfish.

Mannygogou

For example, Bridge over the River Kwai is currently in forth but has zero chance on YT against the other three. But I think a lot of people are just voting for whatever they want for their fourth pick knowing nothing has a chance against the top three on YT.

Richard Maurer

Celeste yes 💯. I’m paid up through August but I’ll probably phase out of that part

Krusty “Topher”

Agreed!

Krusty “Topher”

So glad Bridge on the River Kwai is pulling ahead of Time Cup. I know it doesn't have a chance in the YouTube poll, but it's nice that it is getting some recognition. It's one of my favorite movies of all time.

Neill Shaughness

Disappointing certainly, but sadly not hard for me to believe.

Stick Figure Studios

I'm over 40, didn't vote for Interstellar but I think it's a good movie. But it doesn't make for great reactions, at least not till the last 1/2 hour, and that's too long to wait for a reaction to get good, Plus it's been overdone by reactors lately anyway.

Richard Maurer

Jeff bridges is definitely a better actor than John Wayne. The only character John Wayne played well was John Wayne.

Richard Maurer

I'm not really sure how this rather innocuous statement makes me a curmudgeon but I will accept the title anyway. It's good to be known for something.

Richard Maurer

Replace it with someone said Jeremiah Johnson (1972), I don't remember the history with this Robert Redford film, hasn't it won yet? Wait, I'd replace it with HOMBRE (1967) Paul Newman... yeah.

Mannygogou

I admire your loyalty to the Duke, but I'm sorry, Celeste. The new TRUE GRIT is superior to the old one in every way. *mic drop* :-)

Stick Figure Studios

Ooh, The Quick And The Dead (1995) I always vote for it. With stars showing u p such as Russell Crowe, Lance Henriksen, Keith David, Jonothon Gill, and Gene Hackman. Who is the quick? Who is the dead?

Mannygogou

Postcards From The Edge (1990)... I only remember 2 things from the movie, Meryl Streep and Carrie Fisher who wrote it... I'd watch it.

Mannygogou

I least it’s not just me then 😂

Dean Holt

Well I'm over 40 and I voted for Interstellar! :p

Robert H

I also think INTERSTELLAR is highly overrated.

Stick Figure Studios

wait, you're saying don't vote for 5th Element because YT will pick it.

Mannygogou

Tombstone woo! So I like this poll, very creative! Basically we are picking the top 4... nice! I likes I likes... (Don't do this - one way to "game" this poll is to pick your favorite and then pick the worst 3... and with this you assume the one of the 4 that will win is your favorite because it would be no contest against the other 3. Unless you're wrong 😅) LoL I picked Tombstone, Highlander, Interstellar and Tin Cup - because I like these over the others.

Mannygogou

Kwai and Interstellar should be so far ahead of the rest of this field. LOL

Delford Chaffin

Summer of 2021 I broke my foot and spent the down time consuming ALL of Lean's pictures in release order. A couple I'd seen before, but most were new to me.

Delford Chaffin

To be fair, Tom Hanks basically plays "Tom Hanks" in every movie he is in. If one is in the mood for a "Kevin Costner Movie" they aren't expecting an Aranovsky or Wes Anderson movie.

Adam Doyle

The Deer Hunter was a life changing movie for me and I think it's a movie that can change attitudes about war and veterans. But also, I consider it important for you to see YOUNG Robert DeNiro and Meryl Streep. They are so good in this!!

Peggy Zehr

The dude abides

Alex Laime

You don't have to watch Tombstone,I'd rather see Cassie react to Liberty Valance.

Celeste McAllister

Yes,enough with the focus on movies that are just an excuse for CGI visual effects..

Celeste McAllister

We pay for our memberships on patreon, not on discord or YT,to few people have all the say so..why pay for something that's being given away to others for free?

Celeste McAllister

Kwai and Deer Hunter both are best picture winners..

Celeste McAllister

They can't all be superheroes and aliens..

Celeste McAllister

There's only one True Grit and only one Rooster Cogburn, that's John Wayne..

Celeste McAllister

I like a lot of his movies, but you're right. And come on, how many movies can you name where he doesn't show his butt?

Martin Carter

We haven't seen a second western poll,at least we can watch Tombstone if the YT freebies don't screw things up..patreon should decide on the final four!!!

Celeste McAllister

Right?! Or the runner ups would make great fillers or spur of the moment Reactions when the schedule spontaneously needs to change. You know at least the fans want those to be seen too. Oh but we are just tiny ants on Kilimanjaro on this channel🤣

Krusty “Topher”

I'm just glad Tin Cup is losing. Kevin Costner is such an overrated actor with no range at all. He is the same emotionless character in every movie he's in. (Sorry about bashing your crush Cassie)

David Bunnetto

Absolutely right Shawn, we are not paying for memberships on YT..

Celeste McAllister

I sent Cassie 'The Bridges of Madison County' it's Meryl Streep & Clint Eastwood can't go wrong with that..I hope.

Celeste McAllister

A 51-100,101-150 and so on poll would help bring up some of those great movies that are being pushed aside..seriously why doesn't this make sense to powers that be?

Celeste McAllister

Hey Celeste. Yeah I’m in/out nowadays. Mostly just the occasional YT Live now.

Krusty “Topher”

So does Fifth Element...

David Bunnetto

Hey Krusty glad you are here.

Celeste McAllister

Congratulations, You're the official curmudgeon for PIB patreon..

Celeste McAllister

Tin Cups feel good story will be a nice break from the action

Kevin Kuma

I’d actually venture to say Cassie may enjoy the TV series too

Peter MacColeman

Highlander will scare our delightful host and get her eyes to leak. Though have great expectations about reaction , it seems best Cassie not watch this one by herself. Timeshifts in Highlander are above great.

Danny T

Most of her Patrons are 40+ I guarantee it. The polls always go like this.

aarswft

Interstellar is the best movie on this poll by far, I'm not sure how its currently in 3rd place!

Austin Working

I tried to search for True Grit but the Patreon search doesn't show anything. Not sure if it works.

Alex Laime

Interstellar, Tombstone, and The Fifth Element are all great choices...hoping Highlander can edge out Superman 2 and The Bridge...but it looks like it's going to be close.

TwistedMagoo

I will also add The Deer Hunter as my second choice.

Stuart Guthrie Jr.

Though this may be showing my age, "The Bridge on the River Kwai" is the only one on this list that I would watch.

Ted Little

Hey Cassie I will have to choose Tombstone. I just joined your Patreon channel because I really enjoy your reactions.

Stuart Guthrie Jr.

Tin Cup is the natural progression in your journey through Kevin Costner sports films. It's funny. It's a romantic comedy. It's an excellent sports movie. I hope you take an opportunity to watch it regardless of the poll results. Thank you for the great channel!

Walter

It might surprise you but everyone doesn’t have the same opinions. As I sci-fi fan I really wanted to like it and saw Interstellar at the cinema but I just thought it was a bit boring as nothing really happened in the first hour. it picked up a bit in the middle and had a great idea for a film but I just thought it was executed poorly. But I’m sure there’s a few films I really like that you might not and I’d be perfect fine with it.

Dean Holt

The Bridge on the River Kwai is regarded as one of the greatest films ever made. It won seven Oscars: Best Picture, Director, Actor (Alec Guiness), Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography, Editing, and Original Score. It is also an excellent introduction to the great English director, David Lean. There are, IMHO, four Lean films that are essential viewing for anyone who loves cinema: Brief Encounter (1945), a romance; The Bridge on the River Kwai; Lawrence of Arabia (1962) one of the most beautifully shot films ever made; and Doctor Zhivago (1965) an epic romance. Also, Lawrence and Zhivago have gorgeous, Oscar-winning scores by Maurice Jarre. I saw Lawrence of Arabia first run when I was a kid, my parents took me, and scenes from it were indelibly impressed in my memory. I've watched it many times since, and it does not pale in any aspect. Cinema titbit: After the premiere Noël Coward quipped, "If Peter O'Toole had been any prettier they'd have had to call it Florence of Arabia."

Elliot Nesterman

Maybe in the minority but I really think Interstellar seriously overrated. Wouldn’t mind Tombstone going through but my personal favourites from the group are Highlander, 5th Element

Dean Holt

Highlander is a sentimental favorite for me, but whatever you do skip ALL the sequels. I also think you'd get a kick out of The Fifth Element, just because it's so unique.

Patrick Egan

Tomstone deserves to win but i voted Highlander

Rick

I'd happily re-watch every single one of those picks but I have chosen Highlander because as far as our vote is concerned... THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE

Jedi Psy

THE PLAYER is a good entryway into the cinema of Robert Altman.

Stick Figure Studios

But in which order? ;-)

Stick Figure Studios

I wouldn't say INTERSTELLAR is bad, but I wouldn't exactly say it's good either.

Stick Figure Studios

He doesn't just want to see it again. He wants Cassie to see it. Isn't that why we're all here?

Stick Figure Studios

BRIDGE is certainly not for everyone, but since Cassie doesn't have a short attention span, she ought to be engaged by it.

Stick Figure Studios

"I think I did ask about it once" I did too.

Grad

This used to be me too. Thankfully I've learned to appreciate westerns over the years.

Stick Figure Studios

KWAI is arguably the best movie on this list.

Stick Figure Studios

She really liked the first SUPERMAN. I think she'd dig the sequel.

Stick Figure Studios

Calm Down Wesley......Why do you want to see a movie you obviously seen multiple times?

Casey Nicholson

I cant believe Bride Over River Kwai is even on the list. That movie will put you to sleep. Old and Boring

Casey Nicholson

So sick of Tombstone...

Casey Nicholson

That movie is sooooo boring.

Casey Nicholson

So does Tin Cup...

Casey Nicholson

All the above but I voted for Superman 2. It has a love story Cassie like most on this poll, but it's also the best Superman movie imo. You said you wanted to watch it recently soooo...😉

Gideon James

Funny thing is while all these movies have their fans I've also heard them all called overrated, several of them in this comments section in fact. Which is possibly how they all ended up lumped together in this poll.

Richard Maurer

@Shawn I think she said she fell asleep watching it and she didn’t seem thrilled when she picked it in her last Top 50 poll.

Tim Raths

It's only because they've watched it.

sarCC

I agree. As I said before, Wyatt Earp (1994) has a better screenplay. Tombstone (1993) has better cinematography. And I just can't get over the goof in the rain scene in Tombstone, which is supposed to be the film's most dramatic scene.

G

UNFORGIVEN is my favorite western too. I also love TRUE GRIT, but alas she's already seen it.

Stick Figure Studios

Alas, we are old.

Bill Eby

But I don't watch those other channels. OK I do some of them but haven't seen 5th Element on any.

Alex Laime

Tombstone is my second favorite western, behind Unforgiven, but I'd love to see True Grit (2010) make it to a list.

Alex Laime

I think I did ask about it once but got no reply. I was under the assumption it will probably make it to the schedule as part of the planned war movie of the month. The runner-up in 3rd place was The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948).

Gábor Árki

YES!!! Tombstone is my vote! that is my all time favorite western movie, and I'm sure you'll like it! it is kinda violent I'll give you a heads up so you're ready for it lol! plus it has one of the most A-list all-star cast of actors I've ever seen! a little trivia, though a lot of the movie is dramatized, but a majority is based on true events and real people from back then! one particular character, a U.S. Marshall, that's in Tombstone is actually based on a real life ancestor of mine, according to my late Grandfather! you'll see when you watch it because we have the same last name lol! can't wait to see you watch it if it wins 🥰😁😉👍

Wesley White

Your memory is just fine.

Stick Figure Studios

Madness, madness.

Stick Figure Studios

Bright Angel, I watch to see your commentary. You make everything seen with new eyes.

Clifton Owens

I can't believe I live in a world where The Deer Hunter is running last in this poll.

John Cranberry

Agree, I voted for it ❤️

John Cranberry

I found it Meh 😒

John Cranberry

Yeah, I know, but I would prefer The Cowboys with John Wayne or Silverado or The Quick and the Dead. All superior in my opinion.

John Cranberry

@Shawn, nope.

Tim Raths

It's currently in 4th place as I'm typing this which is where it needs to be to advance to YouTube votes. But it doesn't stand a chance there unfortunately.

Shawn Kildal

Shouldn't this be the other way around maybe. Have the YouTube vote in the top 4 and we vote to decide the winner?

Shawn Kildal

Yeah it’s just weird that Bridge is on another poll after it’s already qualified to already be watched. 🤷‍♂️

Krusty “Topher”

Several movies are being "skipped" or on an indefinite waiting list I think. The Contender won a dice game many months ago and there's no mention of it being put on the calendar

Shawn Kildal

Tombstone for win , this movie is how I got my name haha , but honestly these are all great movies and they are entertaining

Wyatt Nuxoll

The Contender also won a dice game roll during a livestream.

Shawn Kildal

I don't think Cassie has done a Meryl Streep movie reaction yet. I could be wrong. I know she's seen The Devil Wears Prada though. Deer Hunter was one of Meryl's early movie roles along with Kramer vs. Kramer I think.

Shawn Kildal

Thank you for the anecdote.

Adam Harris

Sorry, it wasn't for me. I saw it at the cinema and haven't had any inclination to see it again. Maybe I should.

gas667

I don't remember the story with Interstellar with Cassie. I think it's a partial rewatch with her. She either fell asleep or just simply turned it off. Whatever the case is, I'm sure she's not voting for it to win.

Shawn Kildal

Tin Cup!

Jacob Colson

its hilarious to see people down talkin Interstellar lol

David Martin

Bridge on the River Kwai is one of the most depressing movies ever made.

TheCaptain359

So would Carly.

Justtired

I need Interstellar to win at some point. It is a must watch!

Zac

Bridge on the River Kwai starring obi wan!

3dbadboy1

I wrote a comment on that video joking that as soon as she said that, immediately every guy watching starts begging Cassie to watch TOMBSTONE. It was the first comment I ever made on one of her videos and it got a buttload of responses,,, including one from Cassie herself.

Stick Figure Studios

Looks like Tombstone will win which is a shame. Not a fan of Westerns no matter who stars in them.

Luke Godfrey

Perhaps, but that doesn't make it bad

Stick Figure Studios

Why wasn't Jeremiah Johnson included in this poll?

Celeste McAllister

Yes! Tombstone finally!! I do like the fact that The Bridge on the River Kwai is having a respectable showing in the polls too.

Shawn Kildal

@Todzilla,it seems Jeremiah Johnson just can't get the break it deserves..

Celeste McAllister

Tombstone,it's based on a true story and you're going to love Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday Cassie,by all means please watch Tombstone with Carly!!

Celeste McAllister

It's been over a year now :(

Allen Bond

The Fith Element With Bruce a bit like in Die Hard. 1939 Good Bye Mr Chips is a film based on a book ... Classic

Danny T

Todzilla - Yeah, one of my main reasons for not doing a reaction channel is I've seen most everything. I'd be stuck doing Rom-Coms and Musicals, And since I don't like those genres I'd have rely on people who enjoyed me goofing on them, so not much chance of that. My other main reason is reaction is oversaturated at this point, but that's another story. I think I know the girl you're talking about and as long as it's working for her then I think it's great. I actually have been watching another girl who is so specialized that she does nothing but horror but her gimmick is she doesn't like being scared and is a screamer near to Cassie's level.

Richard Maurer

ABSOLUTELY The Fifth Element. ABSOLUTELY. #6 on my Top 100 and the only film in my top TEN she hasn't reacted to. Tombtstone, I agree, is VASTLY overrated, though Val Kilmer is fantastic in it.

Terdell Ferguson

Not that it matters but Bridge over River Kwai was already supposed to be watched. It was second in Classic poll and you said you were watching the top 2. Just FYI

Krusty “Topher”

It’s incredible and I find it amazing the fifth element is anywhere near it

Michael Lynch

Richard I totally believe you on the MCU. I just think the YouTube algorithm doesn't suggest it to me because I normally don't watch any MCU stuff on YT, just like LOTR. I could never be YT reactor 😅 besides the obvious like not being camera friendly, I've seen most older films and there is very few new things that I even watch. I did notice at least one newer YT reactor really staying to just a couple genres. Mostly 80s/90s action, sci-fi and horror. It's served this particular girl well. For those of us that don't want to expand out horizons, lol, it's worked out well. Cassie is still the GOAT IMO. It's just she wants to make sure everyone gets their stuff reacted to, so it might take her a while to circle back around to things people are interested in.

Todzilla

Yeah, you’re in the minority with that opinion buddy

Michael Lynch

It’s absolutely ridiculous that the fifth element is anywhere near interstellar, or tombstone.

Michael Lynch

Tombstone is overrated 🤦‍♀️

John Cranberry

You'd be surprised how many people start out with the MCU, But it wouldn't be my personal choice for a starter either if I were starting a reaction channel (which I'm not, for many reasons). I would try to hold onto the MCU as long as possible, to have something that would give me a long sustained boost in YT views when I needed it. LotR is how I find most of the new reaction channels I watch as well many more I never watch again. If a reactor screws up LotR they might as well quit right there.

Richard Maurer

Agreed... I think it'd be a great reaction vid!

Ray Johnson

TOMBSTONE TOMBSTONE TOMBSTONE. I love all these movies and 5th element and highlander are personal favorites, but I LOOOOOVE TOMBSTONE.

Godzilla Jones

GO TOMBSTONE!!!

MatthewBrown74m

I definitely wouldn't mention MCU because there are like almost 30 films now, so it would be a slog for anyone. I guess LOTR is a popular reactor series, but since I'm not a LOTR fan, reactors watching it don't hit my radar. The only way I found Cassie in the first place was "girl reacting to Aliens" popped up in my YouTube and the rest was history.

Todzilla

Huckleberry gang!!!! Let’s go Tombstone!!!

djKENTO

I know it won't win this time, but Tin Cup is a gem and Cassie will absolutely love it!!

Chris Davis

@ Todzilla - I thought it was interesting that your of list of reactor starter movies didn't mention LotR or the MCU . Of the movies you listed only Star Wars comes close to those two as reactor starter movies. I mean, I usually check out 1 to 4 new LotR reactions a week and the majority are from new reactors. I have noticed Terminator, Predator, and Robocop getting an upturn in popularity lately, but I think that's mostly due to the top reactors going through these movies, and new reactors copying them. But LotR, the MCU, and Star Wars have been, and still are, the kings of start out options for new reactors.

Richard Maurer

5th Element and Highlander. Neither is great but both are magnificent. I never understood the hype around Interstellar.

gas667

You can vote for more then one😊

Cole Jennett

I’m still waiting for Jeremiah Johnson from one of her pillow case pulls 😕

Michael Barootian

Cmon Fifth Element!

Yaisu

Hard to believe Superman 2 isn't getting more votes!

Paul Stelter

But no Cassie reaction to 5th Element. I could careless about those other 25 reactors (well excluding Vkunia, I watched her 5th element reaction and it was great). Mike I'm not going to judge your list of movies, but out of all those the only ones I'd like Cassie to react to would be War Games and Brewster's millions. I'm super lazy, but I'd be curious to see where all those rank on Planners app?🤷 Maybe I'm wrong and they have a lot of interest. I also understand your point, I have a lot of movies I'd like anyone to react to, but I just know they aren't that popular so I get behind the ones that have a chance.

Todzilla

There are thousands of great movies, not only the handful that every reaction channel watches. There are 25+ reactions to The Fifth Element, and picking another from the list, there are zero for Tin Cup. Alive, Around the World in 80 Days, Brewster's Millions, Captain Ron, Enemy of the State, Feds, Indictment, La Bamba, Man Without a Face, Old Yeller, Stranger Than Fiction, Thomas Crown Affair, Underworld, War Games, Yojimbo... So many great movies, but let's watch the same handful of movies 25 times.

Mike Lemon

Just remember Tin Cup for the next Sports or Romance poll.

Bruce C Snell

Ok, so I haven’t seen it since it was released in dvd/vhs initially, but I remember being underwhelmed with the 5th Element. Maybe I was too young or my memory is betraying me, but not sure what the hype is about.

Peter Guertin

Are you not entertained?

Drew

At least Interstellar is in the top four so far lol

Drew

A great, great, great movie.

Bill Maurer

True, but he was dressed up as a Spanyard in this movie. Also he had a Japanese Sword, right?

Richard Bourne

After a while people get tired of seeing the same movies reacted to. Interstellar's been all over the reactor channels lately, it's as simple as that.

Richard Maurer

Good point, the YouTube community is usually more mainstream. I'd bet they'd go 5th Element out of the current top 4, which I'm fine with. I'm really split between Tombstone and 5th Element.

Todzilla

To be fair, the Chaos Classics bracket happened in Sept, then October was scary month, and then four War-related movies in November: The Great Escape, The Hurt Locker, Taking Chance, and The Best Years of Our Lives. Bridge on the River Kwai would have been a fifth War movie in a very short amount of time. It fell through the cracks.

Mike LL

So what I read was we are at war with the YT members. Is this how you get your kicks? Wow!

Scott Macaulay

If it were about variety the top 3 wouldn't even be on the poll, They've all been all over the reactor channels.

Richard Maurer

Side note, totally sad Deer Hunter is in last place. Granted, it's no Taxi Driver but it does have De Niro and Walken!

Todzilla

I’m happy with Interstellar or Tombstone winning then doing the other movie next. Both so worth it 👌🏽

Greg Florez

Tin Cup and Highlander

Andrew Hogan

Tombstone 1993 and Silverado 1985 are both so good.

Uncle Phoenix

Well, even if it won here it would lose on YT. They never go for classics.

Richard Maurer

Because, people like to watch people react to good things LOL. The cast alone in 5th Element is reason to watch it. I mean I'm sure Cassie would like the four views from people watching her react to an obscure, subtitled, foreign film vs the 100k+ views she'd get from watching a Schwarzenegger action film 😅 Most reactors get their start on Alien(s), Terminator, Predator, Robocop, Star Wars, etc. They are great films that stand the test of time for a reason and get the most views. I totally love Cassie, but not even she can get me to tune in to her watching a Hallmark Love Story. Nor Interstellar 😅

Todzilla

Please let Cassie watch Interstellar. Come on guys lol

Adam Harris

Ramirez was Egyptian, not Spanish.

Mike Lemon

I'm definitely going for Superman II, Tombstone, Bridge On The River Kwaii, and Tin Cup(in a distant 4th; it's OK, not bad, but the director's other great sports movie[after Bull Durham] is White Men Can't Jump, which I highly recommend).

sarCC

You said on first Chaos Classics post of Sept 19 that you would watch the two winners. That would be Great Escape and Bridge on River Kwai. Like I said, I'm just suprised people who voted for it didn't speak up for it. I never forget 😁

Mike LL

I don't think 'The Bridge On The River Kwai,' is going to win (so I picked Intersellar), but it will be a shame if Cassie never sees that classic.

Terry Yelmene

I asked and no reply 🥲

Rose

A huge fan of every movie listed here with the exception of The Fifth Element.

thomas king

"5th Element is long overdue on Cassie's channel." Arghhhhhhhh Why does every channel have to watch the same things? Vive la Variety!

Mike Lemon

all of a sudden Intersellar isn’t the “IT” movie…internet trends are funny…clearly the best.

David Martin

Wait I think I am confused! That winner was the great escape right>? Hmmm may just have to audible and watch this one anyways, a prom prom is a prom prom

Cassie

Tombstone 1993 is FANTASTIC! It is my favorite Western, and I have seen a lot of them. All star cast, each at the top of their game at the time. Also, with the recent wave of Sean Connery movies, Highlander 1986 is a must see. Funny to see a Scot playing a Spanyard and a Frence actor playing a Scot. It is a rather unique premise and story line, but it does entertain.

Richard Bourne

I know it’s looking like a long shot I’m going to vote for Highlander 4 times. The comedic reaction alone would be worth the price of admission.

Roger Banks

TOMBSTONE, SUPERMAN 2, HIGHLANDER and BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI get my votes. Please, God, not INTERSTELLAR or FIFTH ELEMENT.

Stick Figure Studios

Can't do Superman without the necessary follow-up.

Sage Antone

meh film

Sage Antone

Since the Top 4 are going to YouTube, I voted for 4: 1. Tombstone 2. The Fifth Element 3. Highlander 4. Tin Cup If I voted for a 5th, it would have been "Interstellar", because it's a good film that I really enjoyed. These are as well, but the deciding factor is that it seems like every reactor out there does "Interstellar", and not many do "Highlander" or "Tin Cup".

Sean Novack

“You gonna do somethin’ or just stand there and bleed?”

Gary David Holbrook

Remember folks, you're voting for four titles to go to YouTube, the "winner" here won't necessarily be watched 😉

Jon Johns

Actually, this list...just watch them all in order

John Armbruster

Not saying that Interstellar is bad, but Tombstone is better.

Sean Novack

Oh man, I love all of these movies. But the Fifth Element is the only one I have a tattoo of 👍🏻

John Armbruster

Last year as Cassie reacted to "The Fugitive", she asked "Who's Wyatt Earp?" It's time she finds out. Tombstone for the win!! 🤠

Robin Craft

Tombstone is the obvious one hands down, but Interstellar over the 5th Element?🤔 5th Element is long overdue on Cassie's channel. I'm still amazed she's gone this long without reacting to it.

Todzilla

C'mon, it HAS to be Fifth Element! That's like not watching Galaxy Quest!

Mark Schamber

Thanks! Now if I could my Highlander vote to count for 55 🤣

Nerd Jared

I voted for The Bridge on the River Kwai but it’s not looking good.

Tim Raths

You can choose more than one.

PapaXan

Has anyone recommended "The Player" (1992, Robert Altman) to you yet? It's probably the best movie about movies, and I think you'd have a lot of fun identifying all the celebrity cameos.

B.J. Wilson

Interstellar, of course. Didn't have to think about that one. Can't wait for that reaction. You should totally watch it with Carly.

Matt Dellarosa

I have to vote for Tombstone. Interstellar has been done by everyone, but Tombstone is much more rare (imho, Tombstone is a better movie, too)

MountainViking

Ok, now that The Bridge on the River Kwai is being brought up, I am extremely surprised that no one has mentioned that Cassie committed to watching the winner of the Chaos Classics bracket AND the runner-up, which was Bridge on the River Kwai. How come fans and people who voted for it in the finals never asked Cassie when she would watch it? She said in the very first Chaos Classics post that she would watch the runner-up.

Mike LL

Tin Cup probably won’t even come close, but you should make a power decision and watch it anyhow.

David Nesbit

I just want to see Cassie's mind explode watching Interstellar

Mike Stevenson

Tombstone!!!!

Jerrod Acree

Yes it is! Such an underrated great film!

Nerd Jared

I think Cassie and Carly would really like Tin Cup since it's a nice sports related romcom. Interstellar and Tombstone are must-see movies IMO.

PapaXan

Oh my...which one...this is tough

Nerd Jared

Ive watched intersetllar about 3 times in the last 3 months, but still voted for it, because everyone should watch it..... and tombstone.

Chris

I'm your huckleberry!

Jason Fulbright

Highlander is long overdue. The one I’m amazed she keeps missing is for love of the game with Costner. Tin cup is good too

Peter MacColeman

Watch them all!

Jeff Rogers

Amazing choices
