When cinephiles talk about the best directors, Ron Howard's name usually doesn't come up. But Howard will always hold a special place in my movie-going heart because he's made three of my all-time favorite films: "Apollo 13," "A Beautiful Mind," and "Cinderella Man."

She’s a peach though … always so endearing. I’m a fan for sure :) Also, I’m brand spanking new to living in SLC so I’m gonna embellish my day to my friends back home by counting watching this with you two as attending Sundance 🤷♂️

I’ll have to watch the full movie movie now. Very emotional and inspiring and I appreciate your personal connection. In the future, you should check out the ‘John Adams’ HBO miniseries. It stars Paul Giamatti - the trainer in this movie - and offers a great window into history with the same kind of family struggles during difficult times that made this movie so great. Thanks again and I look forward to what’s ahead. PS - I think I’ve recommended it before but I’ll do it again - ‘*61’ - an HBO movie with a few familiar faces about the home run record that deals with friendship, family, doubt/adversity and history. Check it out at some point.

If i can give a suggestion for another movie you two should watch it would be "Only the Brave" a true story and i think its a perfect movie for you two to watch together. Was sad to hear about your family being sick and its crazy to think that you dont get help because your insurance dont cover it or you dont have money for it.. There is the shared human experiences that, as a parent, one knows the sense of wanting to provide always for your loved ones yet circumstances outside one's control can make you feel that you have failed them at times. Cinderella Man taps into those emotions and reminds us all of the indominable spirit that can help each of us to rise above life's vagaries to achieve more than we believe we are capable of achieving - especially when we are motivated on behalf of those we love.
