2023-02-06 18:18:35 +0000 UTCIf you want a one off limited show, I highly recommend 1883, it’s a prequel show to the series Yellowstone with Kevin Costner, but works well as it’s own thing. It follows the ancestors of the Dutton family from Yellowstone as they travel from Texas to Montana in the old west. Real life married country singer couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill star as the leads. Currently there is also 1923, which is mid season right now, and it follows the Dutton family during the prohibition era. Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren are the Dutton leads here. Both are on Paramount+ If interested in Yellowstone, I think you’d need Peacock, as it’s on the paramount network channel and not included on paramount+. I buy the whole seasons on Amazon Prime lol

Stories that made HP Lovecraft shiver! Real cosmic horror. I wonder if the following seasons are like that

Came out the same year as the first season of the ‘Fargo’ TV series which I hope you’ll check out at some point. Definitely an anthology series with each season it’s own thing but also tying into the movie and the other seasons. 2) If you watch ‘The Wire’ … Do it. So good. The best cop/detective show ever. 3) Check out ‘The Name of the Rose.’ Ya boy Sean Connery plays a Dark Ages monk/detective. Total mystery flick I think you would love with a few great supporting actors who you’ve seen before.

The language is foul foul foul, but it is probably the best show that was ever on TV, especially season one. Milch (the creator) had a reason for the bad language, but IMO it was kind of a thin excuse. There are just three seasons and it ends without a good ending. HBO (yup, another HBO show) cancelled it after season three. The guy that actually did it said it was the worst mistake of his life. :) They made a movie a couple years back to finish it off. It was OK.
