She has, and I think it’s one of her favorite movies.

2023-01-17 03:04:54 +0000 UTCSuddenly occurred to me - has Carly seen About Time? I know you've seen it, and love it. And I love it. But has she seen it?

Björn Karlsson
2023-01-16 08:45:25 +0000 UTCI still think you and your sister would love Return to Me...the perfect love story.

2023-01-16 00:14:40 +0000 UTCAlexandra and Rebecka reunited at the release party from 2017 😃 https://twitter.com/asofiasanchez1/status/842298226011197442

2023-01-15 15:42:54 +0000 UTCCool 😃😃🥰🥰 But that copy you got is most certenly the "original version" from 1998. In 2017 they released an improved version. That version is only available in Scandinavia on blu ray (disc). The streaming version is normaly the improved version. But in February there will be a release by Arrow film, in the US/Can and UK in a box with all of Lukas Moodysson's movies. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I think most of them are improved versions. At least SML/FÅ and Together. 🤗🤗
Björn Karlsson
2023-01-15 15:37:46 +0000 UTCHey Cassie, what about a 1-25 pull every once in a while?
Tara
2023-01-15 14:17:07 +0000 UTClol those people making fun of movies they don't like should at least leave the title of the movie they prefer just so others can take a crack at them. Fair is fair.
Mannygogou
2023-01-15 03:55:26 +0000 UTCNooo!... the extra pulled number messed up the odds! 1 in 6 is now 1 in 7... oh well, lol 😊🙈 It went from 16.7% odds for your pick to win, down to 14.3% chance. May the best liked movie win!
Mannygogou
2023-01-15 03:23:08 +0000 UTCI found a copy and was planning on watching it this weekend.

2023-01-15 02:07:46 +0000 UTCIf you want you can "push back" 😏😉
Björn Karlsson
2023-01-14 22:16:32 +0000 UTCYup, and people get injured by police and horses too.
Robert Greschke
2023-01-14 14:46:44 +0000 UTCI guess if I HAD to pick 2, then I’d go with Goldfinger & Thunderball. I actually Double Feature those myself sometimes. More Bang for Your Buck. If She likes them, then one day she can go back and see where it all began with Dr. No. When I was younger, From Russia with Love wasn't high on my ranking, but Older Me now Loves it. It's slower than some of the others and you really have to pay attention... but so good.
Larry Darrell
2023-01-14 14:16:09 +0000 UTCThe Right Stuff is SUCH a good movie!! Based on an excellent book as well
Sean Novack
2023-01-14 00:25:38 +0000 UTCMe too. 😃 It is a hard choice though as the first 3 are my favorites from Connery. Although I'm going to make an attempt to try to convince her to include Dr. No as well. After all, that was the introduction of the character in the series. And who knows, if she ends up loving the first few, we might get more of them.
Gábor Árki
2023-01-13 15:51:01 +0000 UTCIn that case I'll smash on 'From Russia with Love' & 'Goldfinger'. :) ⭐⭐
Celeste McAllister
2023-01-13 15:17:13 +0000 UTCGood point. Hopefully enough people know where it stands against the others. It’s not a bad film, just doesn’t fit in with the others. You really should watch the 60s & 70s Bonds before. Never Say Never Again came out in 1983, just four months after Octopussy. They were meant to compete, & Octopussy won.
Larry Darrell
2023-01-13 15:11:35 +0000 UTCThat is kind of Sad. Oh Well.
Larry Darrell
2023-01-13 15:08:26 +0000 UTCSince we have broached the subject of lower-profile movies, here's a suggestion inspired by Jennifer Coolidge's recent prominence: the romantic comedy Austenland (2013), starring Keri Russell.
Happy Hanukkah
2023-01-13 09:28:30 +0000 UTCSadly, news is Cassie plans to watch only top two of a Connery Bond movie poll.

Shawn Kildal
2023-01-13 06:12:12 +0000 UTCA natural progression from Cinderella Man, since the two movies share a scene in common. SPOILER ALERT. SPOILER ALERT. ******************. Both movies have a scene where a desperate parent pulls wood from a structure to provide heat for the family.
Mingo Wayama
2023-01-13 01:36:37 +0000 UTCNever Say Never Again is not official and it is a remake of Thunderball. It was a “whole thing.” Look up Kevin McClory to find out how it all happened.
Larry Darrell
2023-01-13 00:33:55 +0000 UTCYes, the Traditional Path. Really can’t go wrong there. Seconded.
Larry Darrell
2023-01-13 00:28:01 +0000 UTCWhat about one of your mom's favorites, like Doctor Zhivago? It's so good. Do we have to wait until Mother's Day?? :)
Robert Greschke
2023-01-12 22:58:54 +0000 UTCWhile I understand the logic of those advocating for a 51-100 poll, it seems perverse. Let's encourage people to use an app to recommend movies, but then attach little or no weight to the most popular ones?
Happy Hanukkah
2023-01-12 22:02:46 +0000 UTCNext time go with #51-100. Make things interesting and fun!
Mark Vaderr
2023-01-12 21:36:06 +0000 UTCYou look like you’re feeling much better, Cassie!

2023-01-12 20:14:33 +0000 UTCHow about #s 1-25 so we get some of the higher requests?

2023-01-12 18:00:12 +0000 UTCI was pulling for 51-100,I'm cool with 1-50,get out and vote good people ! For Sean Connery James Bond 007 I say start with 'Dr.No' 'From Russia with Love' 'Goldfinger' 'Thunderball' 'You only live Twice'. That's the first 5 in order of release.
Celeste McAllister
2023-01-12 17:50:02 +0000 UTCI think the next poll should be 50-100.
John Casamassa
2023-01-12 17:40:48 +0000 UTCgarbage film.
Jim Williams
2023-01-12 17:16:17 +0000 UTCHave you seen the director's cut? Did you like miss the main storyline? I don't mind spoiling it because I don't like it, but it's not my call. The best thing to be said for it is that at least it's not Starshit Troupers.
Jim Williams
2023-01-12 17:14:29 +0000 UTCIf you watch Abyss, watch the extended version or you won't understand the end at all lol.
3dbadboy1
2023-01-12 17:08:39 +0000 UTCI gave that movie a push. I think I saw it back in the days 😄
Björn Karlsson
2023-01-12 16:53:31 +0000 UTCnext poll should be from top 50-100...had a look at your list and by far there are much better movies in that section
Ewanbhoy Martin
2023-01-12 16:26:56 +0000 UTCI'd be happier 'n a pig in slop with either Interstellar or Galaxy Quest. On a side note, your hair looks great, Cassie!
Damon
2023-01-12 14:30:59 +0000 UTCThe book is pretty great.
Damon
2023-01-12 14:29:26 +0000 UTCI had to look up what that meant. Hey, I'm old. Gimme a break. And get off my lawn. :D
Damon
2023-01-12 14:28:25 +0000 UTCIt is! So far Galaxy Quest is one vote in front of Interstellar. Wowie!
Damon
2023-01-12 14:25:04 +0000 UTCI dunno about her loving Beth and Rip. **Spoiler alert** She may like their devotion to one another but them as people? I dunno.... It would definitely be an interesting watch!
Damon
2023-01-12 14:24:19 +0000 UTCJust random numbers... But what a coincidence, Indictment: The McMartin Trial is in there. How weird.
Mike Lemon
2023-01-12 14:16:28 +0000 UTCWell, it is available on disc so that's good news. So I guess that edition has finally some access. Don't know how you access all your movies, but I'll leave it up to you.
Robert Jewell
2023-01-12 13:55:13 +0000 UTCHmm...classic films, which none of these are, are my favorites so I'm at a bit of a loss here although the 2 that I'd definitely check out you reacting to areCOMING TO AMERICA and THE ABYSS although the extended director's cut is absolutely the one to see, but I don't think it's available on any media format at this time, but I'll doublecheck.
Robert Jewell
2023-01-12 13:51:11 +0000 UTCWhat movie are you thinking about? 😄

2023-01-12 13:42:56 +0000 UTCTRUE DETECTIVE???? Holy Fuuuuuuck; thank whoever the Hell did that!!!!
Diiirk706
2023-01-12 11:51:55 +0000 UTCThe Abyss is most definitely not an anti-human movie. I don't want to get in to spoilers but it is absolutely the opposite of anti-human.

2023-01-12 11:44:10 +0000 UTCEither way, #StarTrekFirst before Galaxy Quest!

Walter
2023-01-12 11:38:08 +0000 UTCYou said something important there - the POTENTIAL of the movie (Stargate). I completely agree that the film had so much potential, but I also think it wasted it. I would argue that is why it had successful tv spin-offs - because others saw and was able to realize the potential of the story in a way the movie never did. The movie has very cool elements and I love the actors, but I personally find it frustrating because it should have been so much better. But like you said, they made a ton of compelling tv content based on it.
Walter
2023-01-12 11:37:25 +0000 UTCI think we are putting the cart in front of the horse here! #StarTrekFirst
Mike LL
2023-01-12 11:35:50 +0000 UTCI love both suggestions - Justified and Yellowstone. Cassie would love Beth and Rip...
Walter
2023-01-12 11:32:10 +0000 UTCNext up, a pull from 2526 - 2535?

2023-01-12 10:55:49 +0000 UTCPulling for Stargate. Or Starship Troopers. Great film. Lotta fun
nick bell
2023-01-12 10:53:36 +0000 UTCPlease add an entry to the poll for me to use: "Anything but Starshit Troupers". Please.
Jim Williams
2023-01-12 10:17:06 +0000 UTCTop 3 movies for this poll: Galaxy Quest Coming to America Stargate The Abyss was an anti-human movie, Interstellar was a boring anti-human movie.
Jim Williams
2023-01-12 10:16:32 +0000 UTCNO. NO ON STARSHIT TROUPERS! That's the only movie I ever walked out on. I think it was during the scene when the dead transgender Filipino guy named Dizzy was showering with the blonde-haired, blue-eyed Filipino main character, Juan Rico. It was to Starship Troopers what Rinks of Powder is to Lord of the Rings. Gawdawful movie. READ THE BOOK instead.
Jim Williams
2023-01-12 10:12:39 +0000 UTCMy suggestion of spicing up the next poll: 1. Put decades into a bucket: pre-1970, 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's, 2010's, and pull one of these, or given 6 of them roll with a dice 2. Use the filter option in Popcornrequests and provide a Custom Filter, for example for the '80s: !(m.year>=1980 && m.year<1990) (I'm sure Planner could introduce a slider to make this more user friendly, if Cassie would like to take this approach) 3. Pull 6-8 movies from this filtered top 50 of a decade
Gábor Árki
2023-01-12 09:29:35 +0000 UTCNext one should be 100+ so some of them get a chance.

2023-01-12 08:53:43 +0000 UTCNo, it’s not an official Bond movie🤬🤣
James UK
2023-01-12 08:47:15 +0000 UTCI just thought of this, is Never Say Never Again an official Bond movie I wonder? Sean Connery did this movie outside the cannon with a different studio.
Shawn Kildal
2023-01-12 07:11:36 +0000 UTCWhile Interstellar is the better film, Stargate is pretty much the quintessential '90s action film that was still good enough to spawn a franchise on TV that lasted 14 years and 350ish episodes. Only the best ideas do something like that. And stargate is pretty darn cool. I remember one night way back in college where my gaming group went on a 3 hour discussion of Stargate and all the potential of such a thing of it were real instead of playing a game. That's at least up there with the physics classes who discussed interstellar. 😂

2023-01-12 07:00:52 +0000 UTCI like these random polls but the odds were not in my favor today. Oh well!

2023-01-12 06:52:10 +0000 UTCNo one can convince me that Galaxy Quest is more of a Star Trek movie than Wrath of Khan.

Cassie
2023-01-12 06:22:00 +0000 UTCyou are correct, 🤦🏼♀️
Cassie
2023-01-12 06:21:43 +0000 UTCStargate or Coming to America? What!? lol Coming to America is a definite yes of course no doubts there but Stargate? I think you have a typo switch Interstellar for Stargate as a film you couldn't understand etc. 😁 Interstellar is a masterpiece. Taken from an article "With stunning visuals, mind-binding theories, and fantastic music, Interstellar cements itself as one of the greatest sci-fi films of all time." Either way it's going to be fun to see which film gets chosen. All these movies are great picks, except Stargate 😁

2023-01-12 06:04:21 +0000 UTCI literally almost bought a Lottery ticket today... glad I didn't. Great picks, but, worried about Galaxy Quest.

Travis Starnes
2023-01-12 04:57:45 +0000 UTCDid anyone else think that this felt like an ASMR video? With all the playing with objects and getting in close? That might be a new career path for you, Cassie…
jdj830
2023-01-12 04:53:45 +0000 UTCPersonally, I prefer the 1-50 just because I have to assume they are the most requested from us. Though perhaps when drawing numbers, leave out the movies that have been in the other polls since they've had their chance already.
Shawn Kildal
2023-01-12 04:53:16 +0000 UTCI can't argue with you on that. Have you watched Orville? It's damn good and feels really close to a modern Star Trek.
Arki Kali
2023-01-12 04:30:56 +0000 UTCSuperman 78 won the last of these polls I think, with Gran Torino 1 or 2 votes right behind it. National Lampoons Vacation was a summer comedy poll if I remember correctly
Shawn Kildal
2023-01-12 04:29:14 +0000 UTCOh stargate, the abyss or interstellar this should be nice! I feel like galaxy quest kinda requires some star trek knowledge to be effective though...

2023-01-12 04:25:32 +0000 UTCIt's the best STAR TREK movie, even though it isn't, and I say that as a fan.

2023-01-12 04:25:18 +0000 UTCHOLY SCHNIKES!!! those were some really good picks! ha, I vote for all of them, except Interstellar, I didn't really like that movie, couldn't understand it or invest myself into it, no offence lol! if I had to pick one though.....mmm..... I guess either Stargate or Coming to America lol! can't wait for your next livestream so I can see you unwrap my Christmas present, which contains the one movie I so hope you and Carly will watch together, the one I recommended for you two during your last livestream, Iron Will, I promise you, you'll love it! good picks and best of luck on the winner, till then, much love and support and..... stay classy Cassie lol!🥰😁😉👍

Dave
2023-01-12 04:12:34 +0000 UTCI wouldn't say Galaxy Quest makes fun of Star Trek per se. It's more of a comedy / homage / love letter. And... I completely understand why you fell asleep during Interstellar. LOL

Bryan Fritchie
2023-01-12 04:09:10 +0000 UTCAll these movies are really good. Pleastville was Meh to me. I hope you watch Interstellar out of all of these. But u have to have a huge imagination and be pretty smart to really understand it. If you really pay attention you'll love this movie! The abyss is a great one too! Never thought I'd hear you close to watching that! Good Luck! Whatever gets picked I know you'll love it! Probably the movie u'd least want to watch is Starship troopers. But of course being a Marine, I loved it! kekek <3
Joseph M Sica
2023-01-12 04:08:56 +0000 UTCGeeez, I really want The Abyss, Starship Troopers, or Stargate! I hope we can vote for multiple movies. 😁

2023-01-12 04:08:24 +0000 UTCDid I just dream that about a year ago Cassie did a pull of "Highlander" (1986)? Or did that just kind of go by the wayside?
