Hey guys! Here is the YT edit for Misery, which will premiere shortly on YT. I tried to get this posted in October but the schedule was way to cray! Anyway hope you enjoy!!

Direct link in case the above player doesn't work.

Here is the full reaction to this movie

[YT Edit] Misery

Comments

I can watch any movie with James Garner it many times.

Nolan Ryan

They originally wanted to call the movie Footloose but it was taken already.

Obsolyeet

One of those great movies that I have no desire to see again

Odd Thomas

If you haven't seen it, look for the cover of Misery's Return, with Stephen King in all out romance-novel hero mode, complete with his shirt half off. As I remember, it was the step-back cover on the first paperback edition of Misery.

Melinda

I think Cassie would love Fried Green Tomatoes. I do!

Melinda

Great reactions throughout. Don't worry about posting Nov 1, just make it your celebration for Day Of The Dead with our neighbors in Mexico.

Jason Fulbright

As a writer, it physically hurts me to watch the burning on the manuscript

Kassandra Heit

Some breifing 😉 "our movie" is ranked 360 now 😊😇 Nr.4 of non-english movies. C. Tiger H. Dragon and two M. Gibson movies ahead.

Björn Karlsson

oh man, she would adore THE NATURAL.

Matt Rose

Dogs rule, but cats RULE THE WORLD! Also I have had a few cats who drool when I pet them.

Kristin D

My grandparents made me watch this with them when I was like 7 or 8 and I still remember this as the most boring movie on earth. But I think I was just way too young for it, might have to give it another watch.

My_Cousin_Mose

Farnsworth was originally going to turn the part down, because he thought riding the lawnmower was going to be too painful, since he was suffering from cancer. He was afraid of starting the picture and not being able to finish. David Lynch told him that he would make a special silicone seat that would make riding easy, so he said yes to the part.

Larry Darrell

My favourite part was when the melodies of The Beatles’ MISERY and The Killers’ MR BRIGHTSIDE got mashed-up together by Cassie.

Anthony Vawser

Hope you like it. Certainly not your typical David Lynch film.

Brian McGovern

Thanks so much for this recommendation! I will definitely check this one out.

Damon

Dogs rule, cats drool. 😀

Bill W

Honest to Betsy? Did she say that in the movie? I thought it was Heavens to Betsy.

Bill W

Maybe Kathy Bate's greatest performance. Terrifying what some people are capable of doing.

Richard Bourne

Yeah. That whole scene with the runaway how he talks about family and how his daughter lost her children. That is heart breaking.

Brian McGovern

A G-rated David Lynch film. That's a bit like finding a five-leaf clover. Such a wonderful performance by Farnsworth, I was weeping by the end.

Patrick Flanagan

Ha, North, one of Roger Ebert’s most infamous movie reviews. 😅

Tim Raths

Thank you Cassie. That was a great reaction to a great movie. Your scream was rather impressive as well. Oh, and BTW, I have been opening bags of candy all week in your "special" way, and now everyone thinks I'm a genius. Go figure. 😉

Bill Hayden

Cool

In fact some typewriters can erase, at least if you hit the delete key soon enough and are willing to accept a slight ghost of the old character remaining. They use special systems which can lift the ink straight back off the page. Simpler erase systems used a whiteout ribbon, and other typewriters couldn't delete at all.

Gabriel L.

Then he did NORTH and it was the beginning of the end. :-(

Stick Figure Studios

Honest to Betsy great reaction!

Cassie...you sound nothing like the Kathy Bates character. Every nice word she said was bathed in false notes while you are authentically ...nice. You are definitely the opposite of a "DIRTY BIRD" . And as an aside...I have talked to my therapist about this...when I talk to my dog I use "Oh my gosh" and "oh my goodness" but when my idiot cat throws up on the floor I swear like a sailor...not mean toward cat but still swearing. The question is WHY can I not bring myself to swear at dog? When she eats something off of sidewalk and I am trying to get her to drop it I am "Oh my goodness what is in our mouth?" Oddly my therapist has noticed that she doesn't swear around her dog either. All this to say that watching you has made me nicer to my dog.

Anthony Perez

Rob Reiner's versatility as a filmmaker during this period is almost unprecedented. To create a mockumentary like "This is Spinal Tap," a fantasy adventure like "The Princess Bride," a romantic comedy like "When Harry Met Sally," a suspense thriller like "Misery," and a courtroom drama like "A Few Good Men" is unbelievable. And "Misery" is sneakily a perfect movie. There's never a dull moment, thanks in large part to some of the best film acting you'll ever hope to see.

David Woodbridge

The sheriff also has an important role in The Natural, a Robert Redford movie I know you want to react to.

Mingo Wayama

It's on Disney+

Kevin Charley

Yes, Kathy Bates won an Oscar. Her acceptance speech was a gem. She thanked James Caan saying “Sorry about the ankles. And yes, I actually am your number one fan.” Highly recommend Fried Green Tomatoes if you like Kathy. And, of course, Titanic.

Matthew Periolat

The sherif in this went on to make a beautiful movie called The Straight Story. Based on a true story of a guy who went to visit his brother who had suffered a stroke, travelling on a ride on mower. It was the last movie he made as he was suffering from cancer and took his own life not long after filming The Straight Story. I highly recommend trying to locate this movie and watching it. I seem to recall someone actually gifted you the movie on one of your live streams. Such a heart warming movie. If you do watch it, keep an eye out for the scene where he encounters a teenage runaway. Such a touching scene. Love it.

Brian McGovern

Your editors might need a break after the last few days. Looking forward to watching this later.

Tim Raths

Hey, you watched them all in October, that’s good enough for me!

Cole Jennett

Scary, But Not Too Scary, November!
