[YT Edit] Sleepy Hollow (1999)

One of my fave Halloween movies. Though Disney's Legend of Sleepy Hollow DEFINITELY freaked me out as a kid!

Orcagirl78

Sleepy Hollow is my all time favorite horror film and I always have a blast showing it to be people for the first time to see their reactions. For some of the people I showed it to it was too gory and a few others were confused by the conspiracy--so you are not alone there (I had to watch it three times to fully understand what the hell was going on). It is not a perfect film but I think it is absolutely gorgeous looking with a spectacular cast and one of the best movie villians of all time. The horseman (without a head) is played by Ray Park who also played Darth Maul in Phantom Menace that same year. Park's handling of swords and hatchets is frighteningly intense. You can tell this guy is a serious martial artist and swordsmen in real life and that adds so much menace to an antagonist who has no dialogue or even facial expressions and must create a performance based purely on his physicality.

Dark Shadows is underrated too

While the Headless Horse is a Disney classic, the story was written by Washington Irving.

@Mike Lemon Thanks!

A classic and often underrated and forgotten Tim Burton film is "Mars Attacks!" and I think you would love it!

DaftBasterd

Yes, but in normal life. Here is the "already watched" list. https://letterboxd.com/pib1/films/

Has Cassie seen Nightmare Before Christmas? I can't find it in the youtube reactions, but I know she's moving stuff over from vimeo.

ED WOOD is his masterpiece for sure.

Matt Rose

Tim Burton is hit or miss with me. My favorite of his is 'Ed Wood'. I think it;s his most traditional movie and it's brilliantly acted too.

Scott Macaulay

If you want to watch a Tim Burton movie that I think you'll love and might change your opinion on his films, I highly recommend Big Fish.

BJ Stephens

I think I quoted lines from Dark Shadows for at least a year after it came out. It was hilarious.

Drew

Yea I kind of fell to only watching the YT edits, cause Ive seen them so. Just fun to see different perspectives.

Michael J

Dark Shadows caught me on a good night. I loved the first time watching it. But it wasn't as good to me the other times Ive watched since, but still good. But yea Edward ScissorHands is a classic. (Why does my grammar check cap Hands, despite one word? Who cares lol?)

Michael J

Fun reaction! If you like Tim Burton movies with Johnny Depp, you should also check out Edward Scissorhands, Sweeney Todd, and Dark Shadows. Also, From Hell, Secret Window, and The Ninth Gate are good eerie/spooky movies with Johnny Depp.

Kelly Marie

Thank you. I wasn't sure that this would get a YT edit. How would Carly have done with this one?
