Comments

I agree about a By movie poll!

Melinda

@Carlos oh dude you should its a good reaction!

My_Cousin_Mose

@Richard Maurer, you may be right, The Shining may be the highest score on the "OH MY GOSH" meter. Unfortuantly, I've not seen her review of that one yet.

Carlos Stevens

It would be at least a 10 on the "OH MY GOSH" meter. The "OH MY GOSH" meter is measured by the number of times Cassie says "OH MY GOSH" in a row. I think Poltergeist scored the highest so far with about a 6, but I'll have to re-watch the review to get the actual number.

Carlos Stevens

Just donโ€™t slow down the footage, whoa.

Larry Darrell

While it might be a bit much for her I don't think it would be as bad as The Shining (to Cassie, anyway).

Richard Maurer

I don't think it's that scary either but we've seen that Cassie has (no offense) a fairly low threshold in terms of 'what's scary'. I think she'd find EH too intense.

Matt Rose

That is a great suggestion. A B-movie poll would be so fun. There are some real cult classics out there.

Jason Fulbright

Really? You think she'll just drop dead from watching EH? It's not that scary.

Richard Maurer

I miss the 90s.

Larry Darrell

She would not survive.

Matt Rose

That is a good Idea. If you can't accept facts then no point in having a discussion.

Richard Maurer

LMAO Sorry, Richard, I had to stop reading your comment after I saw the phrases "heterosexuality was established in canon" and "Cap and Bucky" in the same sentence. I gotta share that one with the mates. They'll get a good laugh out of that rotfl

Rue

@ Stick Figure Studios I get what you're saying and I personally had to stop and think awhile before I posted my first comment, due to the sensitivity of the subject. I'm certainly not looking to get into an argument about the subject.

Richard Maurer

@Ruby - Unless heterosexuality was established in canon, like both Cap and Bucky, I wouldn't assume anything. But let's face it, any mainstream character created more than 20 years ago is most likely going to be canonically hetero, that's just the way it is. Hopefully more characters will be created in the future that represent the full spectrum of sexuality. However if those characters are ever to become established then they will need to be fully realized, and not just all about their sexuality. In other words they need to write an interesting character who happens to be gay, rather than a character who is gay who happens to be a hero, villian or whatever, if the creator expects to get any kind of mainstream appeal.

Richard Maurer

So far, yes (though there have been some interesting implications made). I just know this is a very sensitive subject for a lot of people today . I thought I was making an innocent enough observation about the humorous nature of these two pretty clearly (I thought at least) straight characters and their interactions. Didn't mean to initiate the discussion that I did.

Stick Figure Studios

@Mike - Well to be fair then Natalie would have to be given time to train too.

Richard Maurer

It's just a discussion and so far everyone's been civil - no need for regret.

Richard Maurer

Hey Cassie....Do you want to see something really scary? Watch the movie Event Horizon.

Carlos Stevens

CASSIE AND TEAM: This movie has a very popular STV (straight to video) sequel. A STV/B-movie poll might be a fun one.

Jon Jon the Milkshake Man

I think Cassie would win because Natalie's arms are too short. ๐Ÿ˜

Jon Jon the Milkshake Man

For those who have not seen โ€œThemโ€ itโ€™s about giant man-eating ants living in the sewers of Los Angeles.

Stephen Malloy

I'm starting to regret making my comment. :-/

Stick Figure Studios

@Richard- Cassie did do the Rocky training so I don't think that would be fair.

Mike Lemon

There is such a thing as 'established, in canon, to be straight' and 'assumed to be heterosexual by default'. I'm pretty sure I know which one y'all subscribe to xp

Rue

I didn't know this was a competition. You think Cassie will challenge Natalie Gold to a boxing match?

Richard Maurer

Gay people exist, no problem with that. Straight male friendships exist too, and so does the apparent need by some people, usually women, to change those friendships to gay relationships for some reason. I remember that there was even a petition to make Captain America and Bucky gay, even though there was literally no precedence for that change either in movies or comics. I'm fine with new characters being gay or even minor established ones being changed to gay, but changing main characters that have been established as straight to gay is problematic to say the least.

Richard Maurer

Maybe they are, as Jay refers to Silent Bob at one point, "hetero life mates." ;-)

Stick Figure Studios

@everyone I just noticed something interesting today since the YT upload. I checked out some of the other channels that have done a Tremors reaction: TBR Schmitt, OctoKrool, IT'S MR. VIDEO, etc. Their views range from 115k in 9 months to 91k in 1 year. Cassie's is currently at 84k in one 1 day! ๐Ÿคฏ I'm seeing similarities in the Likes ๐Ÿ‘ and also with other videos posted. I think she's on her way to becoming the #1 favorite of everybody, if she isn't already. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ Congratulations! and Happy Halloween ๐ŸŽƒ ๐Ÿ˜„

Zane From Canada

Ahh, I see, a graduate of the Anthony Mackie school of 'male friendship purity'. Not everybody has to just be 'good friends', BJ. Gay people exist. Learn to deal xp

Rue

@BJ - Eh, potato, potahto. :-) As I said, I like it. I think it's funny.

Stick Figure Studios

Or you know just really good friends. /smh

BJ Stephens

Any luck on the Batman full reaction?

Lemuel Daher

I ship it!

Rue

I love how Val and Earl argue like an old married couple. :-)

Stick Figure Studios

Wonderful, fun reaction from the ladies. I also felt that this reaction illustrated how viewing a more diverse selection of films deepens the appreciation for non-standard fare. Iโ€™m not sure Cassie and Carly would have appreciated the comedic moments in this film if not for the other movies theyโ€™ve watched here. Crossing genres such as horror/sci-fi/comedy can be difficult to digest if you havenโ€™t experienced it before.

Just Plain Bob

This is one of the few franchises where I enjoy at least two of the sequels as much as the first one.

Colin Gutierrez

"Them" is a classic. Oddly enough it got the name "Spiders" when it got to Sweden. I have no idea why...

Bjรถrn Von Knorring

Hey there you two. Glad to see a double reaction after so long. (At least it feels long to me) A few answers to some questions you had. Burt and heather are preppers and survivalists. Thatโ€™s why they said they were โ€œjust loving itโ€. The tool that Reba uses in the basement is a brass cleaner/polisher. When people fire guns it ejects the empty shell (usually covered in โ€œsootโ€. So what some people do is grab the empty shells put them in a device like that (which scrubs them with course sand). And then reuse them to save on buying ammo.

Joseph

Great choice for a not too scary movie. It reminds me of the old monster movies kids of my generation grew up on back in the sixties. Every Saturday afternoon one of the tv stations had what they called โ€œCreature Double Featureโ€. They were cheesy movies made in the fifties about giant insects or Godzilla type creatures that would menace entire cities but would be defeated at the last minute. Tremors was kind of an updated version of those oldies. Good show and glad Carly enjoyed it.

Stephen Malloy

This should be fun. I saw Tremors 2 first when I was a kid man, many years ago, but I didn't actually get around to seeing the first Tremors until about 5 years ago.

Michael Gaskins

STAMPEDE!!!! I think Burt and Reba (nobody remembers Heather, let's just call her Reba) were hillarious. The wall of guns just cracks me up. The graboid did indeed break into the wrong rec room. Scary, yeah a little, but moreso gross and funny. That was a fun one, good job Cassie and Carly. I love you two doing the rock, paper, scissors at the end.

Richard Bourne

Loved this movie growing up! Canโ€™t wait to watch both of your reactions ๐Ÿ˜‚
