Saw this in Bangor Maine when it came out and Steven King came and thanked everyone for coming to his movie, shaking hands and talking with folks in the lobby. He did this for his first few films.

My first car was a blue Christine. 1957 Plymouth. I saw the movie once. I also have two Matchbox Christines; one pre-restoration, one partially restored. Stephen King does have odd subject matters.

The movie was surprisingly better than I remembered. Not a masterpiece by any means but a competent little horror.

18:43 Actually Stephen King picked a Make/Model that had become almost completely forgotten about, to star as "Christine", so much so, that he got details wrong about the car in the book. Since the book and the movie, the 58 Plymouth Fury has become very well known, probably more so than when it was current, as Plymouth didn't make that many of them. It was one of the reasons the filmakers had to use Plymouth Belvedere and Savoy models disguised as Furys to get enough together to make the movie, although one positive side effect was that more people started saving and restoring them.

Possibly, Tim. I'm not sure how YT determines infringements, but since the songs are oldies and diegetically used, I'd hope there'd be some leeway, but honestly even if the reaction was mostly silent, I'd still get a huge kick out of it. In CHRISTINE there was plenty of radio music and this video worked out well.

Cliff, I think there was a poll that Cassie ran that included AG, but didn't near first place even though it has Harrison Ford although he's not quite Han Solo in it and I've 2 friends who are in it and Cassie's reactions are so genuine that it seems like a perfect watch for her, eh?
