Love this movie! Had movie nights with this movie with all my female friends and family. Movie night = sniffle, sniffle fest... :-)

2023-03-27 17:46:17 +0000 UTCThe great thing about THE FINAL COUNTDOWN is that it was made with the complete cooperation of the US Navy. It was actually filmed on board the USS Nimitz as much as possible. The footage used of launching/retrieving F-14 Tomcats beats the footage in TOP GUN, in my opinion. The film also features a fantastic scene of two Tomcats vs 2 Japanese Zeroes that is right up there with anything in either of the TOP GUN films.
